the most fresh fish we had in capetown. It was mouthwatering. It was extremely delicious and the portion was huge. You can sit outside as well with the view to the beach. Loved it.

Classic fish and chips, but super tasty. The portions are enormous, so unless you are super hungry, consider sharing with a friend. I paid extra for tartare sauce, but it was quite sweet and I didn’t love it. The calamari was also very tasty and others in my group loved the prawns.

They were closed for a little bit to get a fresh coat of paint. The food, was beautiful, fresh and delicious. The calamari was 🐙 amazing, the fish and chips 🐠🐟🍟 excellent 😍. The only reason there's a star missing is because their Sister store in Kalk Bay is better - waiters / waitresses are friendlier and check on you from time to time. I saw our waitress twice and felt she didn't actually deserve the tip 🧐🙄

Fresh fish, crispy, lovely batter, good portion size, I will definitely be back with family and friends. Calamari has lovely strips that are spiced. Enquire if you don't want spice as it comes standard, but I liked it. Slush puppy , Lupton iced tea, and other soft drink options,
Place to wash hands, paper plates, forks, serviettes etc available. Spice and sauces on the table.
Lovely views of Muizenberg Beach. Different seating options. Baby chair available. No ramp for wheelchairs, you jeed to go up some steps. Situated next to Starbucks.
Staff was helpful and friendly service. Food prep was quick. Got a takeaway ony way out, and I had to share the good experience.

Our go to place for awesome fish n chips. Best views across the beach. You can sit for hours watching the water, swimmers and surfers. The portions are generous, crisply fried in golden batter and served in quaint enamel plates. Would definitely reccomend!

Probably my favorite fish and chips to be honest. Open late can pay with your card or zapper attentive staff and can always rely on fish being fresh. Its doesnt have the traditional slap chip but that can overlooked. Convenient.

Nice and little place, we went there for lunch. The man who took the order was very nice and kind, we sat down at the table and the service was really fast. We had fried calamari and fried hake with chips and everything was good and tasty. The price was fine and not too high. The place Is really close to the beach and you can also park easily outside

Fish very fresh, really great but portions really not man-size. The ladies were satisfied. I don't overindulge when I eat. Otherwise, a really neat venue with lovely views and I can freely recommend it. A great eat.

I came to Lucky fish and chips for lunch.The food was fine my only complaint is the salt that was given with my take away was very little. I was given 1 sachet of salt per R100 meal of which I bought two meals. Food tasted so bland without enough seasoning.I literally had to go to a shop to buy salt.Which is pathetic when I just came from the restaurant. I asked the girl working on the till for more salt but she said there was in the bag. It seems like you keep the salt guarded behind the counter. At Kalkies Fish and Chips Restaurant the salt and other condiments is freely available.

During my recent visit to Muizenberg, Cape Town, I had the pleasure of dining at Lucky Fish and Chips, located just opposite the beach. It was an absolute delight to indulge in their delicious seafood offerings, particularly the calamari and hake.
The calamari and hake at Lucky Fish and Chips were simply outstanding. The calamari was tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It had a delightful crispness and a wonderful flavor that left me wanting more. The hake, on the other hand, was incredibly fresh, flaky, and moist.

My Fiance and I regularly dine in and are never disappointed by the hake and chips. A definite added bonus is their friendly staff members (Caitlyn and Rose) who contribute to the whole experience. The place is family friendly with a modest setting. We'd definitely recommend anyone to pop in and try them out.
