Fantastic prices and good quality. The best bagels I've had in a long time - I'd recommend the toasties too.

I can not believe I actually paid R30 for the most terrible pie I've ever eaten. I'm rather saddened by this because all their other pastries are yummy!

I am told that this bakery supplies most of the hotels in Cape Town with their bread. It's not hard to understand why. I bought a loaf of the rye bread and they even slice it for you upon request. It is defintely worlds better than the shop bought stuff - but not as good as my favourite bakery's (I am a bread snob).

The smell of the freshly baked bread really draws you in and makes you linger longer. Their amazing fresh pastries, golden pies and bakes really makes you want to take something home. And the service from owner Jaymie is great. He's interactive and friendly and his knowledge on traditional bakes makes you want to come back!

Friendly staff, nice baked bread and sweet sins. Love the olive ciabatta bread, the mexican soup in winter and the schweinsohren. Rosa and Rainer have really created something nice! Lovely!

I grab my breakfast at Rosa's when I am too late. They always serve me with a smile. I wish they made their own pies though. The ones they order are terrible.

I like their egg rolls and biscuits. They just introduced a new selection of cakes that I have tried.

Cape Town's best kept secret. Their pastei de natas, and quiches, are to die for! Used to have a coffee daily on my way to work every morning (and then usually in the afternoon, too!) I love the service - the people who work there always greet me and ask me how I'm doing. Pretty sure I have never not gone in if I am on Shortmarket Street!

I had a custard croissant from Rosa's at the milnerton flea market. A-m-a-z-i-n-g. Actually, I had half of one but it felt like a whole one - it was huge. 10 out of ten for value and taste. The custard creme was so delicate and creamy, and the pastry all buttery and yummy. Can't wait to visit the bakery, and can't believe I haven't heard of it before. #HiddenGem
