Outdoor heaters in winter, a drinks menu which catered for our wine fiends and the craft brewery. Cheeseboard with possibly the best chocolate in CPT ( genius touch).. burger and pizza heaven..Spencer the amazing waiter and Mr Hugh Grant lookalike owner...what's not to like ..second visit and defo will be back... Woodstock at its finest!
Amazing pizza... so much variety in their food menu and it all looks delicious. The juice was probably the best I have ever tasted (the kickstarter) and the prices are so reasonable. The ambiance of the place is so homely and chilled out. Just love it!!
La Bottega is the BEST rooftop restaurant-bar in Woodstock! I live/work in the neighborhood and come here three days a week. Great grab-go breakfast in AM and fresh oven roasted pizza in the afternoon. My wife, daughter and I even check out the live music on Thursday nights with a few glasses of Velvet Rope champagne before we walk home. We just moved here from the US and the staff/ownership made us feel at home from the jump..

Because very few places get that pizza crust is meant to be thin and crispy like La Bottega does it. So, so delicious and the service is always great.

With literally almost nowhere to go for good food during lunch we decided to get a pizza for lunch. So, Iām up for anything and we decide to buy a pizza and share it 3ways...
Boy was I secretly angry at myself and it got worse with every bite, my tastebuds fighting with my brain as I get to my last few bites of my āshared portionāā¹ļø
The pizza was light, base thin but ever so tasty and the toppings blended so well. Definitely not a 3 way share kind of pizza... more like an...Iām having my own one kind of pizza and hope no one looks at me and go...did she just eat all thatš³

Recently hosted a 'Farewell' party at the restaurant. They were very welcoming and accommodating. Assisted me at every corner. So i feel that there service was *COMMENDABLE*

Been here a couple of times. The atmosphere is a mix between laid back pub and relaxed casual Italian dining. I do feel this place could be so much more though. The location is great and with it perched above the traffic line itās really a nice spot to sit and see the world pass by. The decor is a bit tired in areas but that could be part of the laid back vibe. I did appreciate the gas heaters outside especially in the current cold.
Service was a bit slow considering the place was empty but I donāt mind waiting for good food. In the meantime while we waited for good we had a hot chocolate. The marshmallows on top and are a nice touch but the actual hot chocolate needs more of a cocoa flavor punch to stand out. Overall it was a decent warm beverage.
To eat we ordered a pizza and a classic beef burger. Presentation was good but where is the cheese on the pizza! Feta was added after ? I know ratios change from place to place but there isnāt enough cheese when the toppings fall off. A traditional Italian pizza would be served like this but South Africans want that mozzarella in their lives, lactose intolerance is not a thing when it comes to pizza. I did however like the base which was thin and crispy. Burger wise, it was okay, the patty was a bit stodgy but overall a decent burger. The skinny fries were good. I didnāt leave feeling hungry so the portion size is fine. I still maintain with a bit of an image tweak and a fresh take on some of the menu items and this place could be a hidden gem the work bustle of Woodstockās busier side.

The service was attentive without being annoying. The menu has a wide variety of options. They even have 'beat the traffic' specials. How clever!

Myself and my girlfriend stopped by last night for a quick dinner. It was our first time at La Botegga and I have to say we were both very happy with firstly the simple buy beautiful rooftop restaurant as well as top class food.
Coupled with really attentive and friendly service from our waiter Kyle, we had a nice time and despite the fact that we came close to closing time, we never once felt pressured to leave, which is so rare (I know, considering I work in the industry as well).
All in all a really great experience and we both thoroughly look forward to our next visit
I was on a quick business lunch so decided to pop in here...been meaning to fir a while. I had the basic beef burger with fries and honestly it was one if the nicest burgers I've has in a very long time. A cappu6to drink which was great. Overall a really good experience. Great vibey spot in Woodstock with friendly service.

Had a great time. . Yes the place is all about relaxing, chill so yes service will be slower but the wait is worth the wait... our burgers was fresh and full of flavour and the staff was friendly and down to earth. Love the vibe and the decor super nice.

Visited here for a work function and was very impressed. The venue was great and so was the food. I really enjoyed the sliders and the bacon and sundried tomato wraps. Definitely going to visit again to try out the menu a little more.
I've wanted to try La Bottega for ages now, and finally visited with some friends for an early Friday dinner. It's so unexpected on an upper deck in an office complex (I think!). The DJ was setting up for an eve of jams too. The ambience is very nice and chilled, and I can imagine it's awesome to book out for an event, day or night.
We all chose either burgers or pizza, and i must say i had a bit if envy for the pizza, super thin base and plenty of topping!
I had the caprese chicken burger, with was nice, but the chicken breast was a little bland, almost zero seasoning at all. If I chose again I would definitely rather have the beef.
I'll definitely visit again, and especially as they have some good 2 for 1 deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

La Bottega is the cutest restaurant that I frequent because I study in Buchanan Square. As a new vegetarian (/pescetarian. Sushi = ā¤ļø), I haven't been able to find the nicest veggie burgers. It's like most restaurant don't care enough about vegetarians to perfect their burger recipes but LA BOTTEGA, MY FRIENDS, DOES CARE. Chickpea patty, haloumi on top - it was delicious. 4/5 for the burger. Plus, for all their burgers, you can choose a sweet potato 'bun' instead of a sesame seed bun. I have had both options and both are yummy. The salad is good, so are the chips (not pictured). Usually side salads aren't great but this one is.
The vibe at La Bottega is probably one of the best things - it's a great place for meetings or to do your work. They have coffee, craft beer, pizzas, burgers, toasted sandwiches. They have free wifi and all kinds of specials - on Thursdays there is a two-for-one burger special. The prices are middle to high, depending on what you order. Service is good, relaxed - maybe a little slow at times but it's easy-going and if you're in a rush I'm sure they will accommodate. The only frustrations I have had with La Bottega is that sometimes they don't have what's on their menu - like the substitute Banting bread or any extra items. But other than that, no frustrations.
Unless you go into Buchanan Square, you're not gonna stumble upon La Bottega so I urge you to seek it out and try it. You might find your new favourite spot.
Lovely dinner this evening.. had the short rib beef burger! Absolute quality with an excellent selection of wine too.. cannot wait to come back, had a lovely chat with the owner Allister too. Always a site of a good business when the owner is there after 8pm and willing to lead from the front. Keep up the good work, Jonathan.

One disappointing aspect: Their chilli popper starter costs R20 for one small popper- very overpriced as a competitor in the area sells 6 poppers for R55.
Overall a good eat with pleasant service.
Just the decor and atmosphere alone stood out to me...such a gorgeous setting on a massive balcony with lots of fairy lights..

A really cute little place, tucked away in trendy Woodstock. It was a quite night for the restaurant so we enjoyed having the place to ourselves. The decor is pretty and the staff were very friendly. We all had chili poppers to start and pizzas which were great - very thin crispy base (maybe too crispy) and generous toppings. I had the Greca plus Avo. The chili poppers were very good - made with bacon, not too spicy and served nicely in a glass with sweet chili. Recommended!
I popped into La Bottega for lunch yesterday, for the first time ever, and had a wonderful meal. I ordered the chicken wrap, which came loaded with avo and - wait for it - roasted peaches! It was a surprising but delicious combo. The service was very good, even though they were quite busy at lunchtime, and I was happy that the waiter was familiar with redeeming my Entertainer voucher. I'll definitely be back.
I instantly fell in love with La Bottega as they had a giant blackboard that read 'InstaFaceMyTwitter' (see image). Perhaps it's weird, but that really cracked me up, and I definitely appreciated that they so openly displayed their social media handles. I went to La Bottega for a private function so, of course, the vibe was great, and I got to hang out all afternoon with some of my best friends. Their menu didn't quite have the selection of healthy options I had been craving, but since I'm generally quite easy-going I quickly settled for one of their yummy pizzas. The Regina is always one of my favorites, and I gobbled it up quite quickly. Extra bonus: La Bottega serves Fiery Dragon Ginger Beer, which I love! All in all, a cool spot to chill out at.
That was awesome, thought we'd pop in on our way to a meeting and were very impressed. The decor is casual and fun, the service personal and professional. We'll be back.

For lunch I had the bacon, avo and feta pizza which was truly amazing. What I loved most was the super thin base.
The menu is well priced and the wait staff are very attentive and friendly. I'm so happy that this little spot is close to my office so I can pop in on a regular basis.
We attended the annual bacon festival on Saturday past, great venue. This place is a hidden gem. I guess the review will have to be rewritten on a normal day but for now Ill chat about the bacon fest.

La Botegga is out of sight, a level above Sir Lowry Road and you won't spot it easily. But if you do, be sure to pop in.
Went there for the first time with a bunch of colleagues after work and we will most definitely return. A great spot for groups; there must have been 12 of us and we all lounged comfortably around the long benches and wooden coffee tables.
Great selection of craft beer on tap and in the bottle. An extensive wine list, unique milkshake flavours and Origin coffee, are enough to make this spot worthwhile even if it's just for a couple cold (or warm) ones, with your mates.Ā
The R50 burger special, which includes a 330ml craft beer of your choice, is the best bargain I've come across in Woodstock.Ā
Even without the special, R55 for a burger is well worth your money. And with selections that include blue cheese, Brie and biltong ā who could resist? Not me.

Very cool spot. I love the furniture and general ambience. There's free WiFi to use and it seems a good spot for breakfast and lunch. I had one of their burgers which was not bad. Nice place to escape to for a break from work.

Very friendly staff, awesome craft beer selection and you have to try the chili poppers!!! I've been to a few events here and they have secure parking which is a bonus in Woodstock.

Underrated spot close to the CBD, perfect for a few drinks after work or a quick bite to eat. Love the variety of healthy options and treat meals on the menu. Portions are great value for money and service friendly.
We had the Mediterranean Chicken Salad and Chorizo, Mushroom and Feta Pizza. Ingredients were fresh, flavors complimentary and tasty, and the pizza base thin and crispy.

We had such a friendly waiter. She was very pleasant. Made my first time experience there good. The food was delicious. I had a Falafel salad which was such a knockout, a vegetarian meal even for those who donāt want to do vegetarians. It was super filling, my bowl of food came full of food and I returned it empty and clean hehe.
Also had a JalapeƱo popper, very good.
I went there with 7 other people and everyone loved their meals.

Good taste and very nice place
I eat (cajun chicken ) it's very delicious and the staff itās very friendly and I will come here again.
So I have been wanting to go to La Bottega for some time as I have heard a lot about this place from colleagues and friends. And I am happy to say that it was everything that I was expecting. Food and service, excellent! Went for brunch and had the Salmon Breakfast. Great quality Origin coffee as well.
The owner Alistair is very hands on and very welcoming when we arrived.
Also found out they also have Live Music on a Thursday evening with half price cocktails which will help to pass time and miss the traffic from town. The bar area is alss a nice addition if you are only looking for a drink.
I highly recommend La Bottega for great quality food and an enjoyable dining experience.

This restaurant has a really nice vibe to it, and the interior is beyond impeccable. We called the restaurant and whoever had answered was not all that friendly. Other than that, the menu has a great range from vegan/vegeterian options to options for those that eat meat. Prices aren't too bad either, and the playlist, the playlist was bomb!
