Tony, Liz, Michelle & Enoch, thank you for the most amazing evening on Saturday night! From the moment we arrived with drinks on the verandah, to the wonderful surprise of canapés and then to your incredible food and amazing service! I made the right decision having my 60th at your fabulous venue and every single person has raved about the food and the service! Michelle & Enoch were just so superb and delightful and incredibly attentive! I do apologize for overstaying our welcome, but we all simply didn't want to leave. An enormous thanks to you all for a superb evening!

Maureen and I, together with our UK guests, Jackie and Hector had an exceptional lunch. Refreshingly simple and wonderfully tasteful! Not at all like some other pretentious and expensive restuarants around Constantia. Best kept secret in Cape Town. We recommend you give la Grotto a try! Don't let too many people in on the secret! You won't get a booking. Before I forget, full marks to Enoch and Memory who looked after us extremely well. And the food was exceptional!
Liz & Tony always provide such a friendly welcome, you feel that you are eating at your best friend's house. Do the Natura Vista wine with any pizza & you can't go wrong. Authentic Italian food like mamma would have made it.

Tony and Lizzy have created a gem of a restaurant!! Their many year's of hard labour and experience have clearly paid off.
The food is delicious and servings huge!
They have even managed to keep their vibe laid-back, natural and genuinely down to earth. This, despite being nestled between all the hoity toity of the neighborhood.
It's really no wonder it's always fully booked !! but it'll be worth the wait, ENJOY !!
La Grotto was very nice but a little disappointing. I had been really looking forward to some pasta and checked that they offered gluten free before I made the reservation so I was somewhat disappointed when I came to order and was you'd they didn't have gluten free pasta, neither did they offer a banting alternative like courgetti.
First time to this venue. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff. Tried the pizza which was great.
We were a party of 4. Each of us was very impressed with our meals. They were a good size and very tasty meals. Definitely will be going back again.
