The two barristers at El greeyo are just superb, the best coffee, the best food and those guys are a pleasure to see, so much so I just about go to El greeyo everyday. Bearing in mind there are other places that serve coffee and food, but none with charm and personality like the two guys at El Greeyo.
What a gem of a place. The food is great, coffee out of this world and staff and owners are just so special.
The most amazing lime and ginger mojito! Also had the chicken quesadilla was really good. A great combination of flavours and really great service.
It's in a nice place and the specials seem like they are the best thing. I enjoyed my time there and I don't mind going there...nice place for studying. The atmosphere is great and the service was beautiful
The first experience ordering online was not that great , but the excellent customer service I received afterwards was amazing. the guy who assisted me went all out to ensure I was happy. Thanks so much. Will definitely be ordering again.
The cosy atmosphere and welcoming staff really sells this place. The food is nothing that would win an award but it definitely is extremely well-priced. Be sure to pick up some fresh coffee beans which they roast in-house. The free Wifi is an added bonus.
A rustic little gem. The atmosphere is relaxed - we like popping in for cuppacinos/Latte . Very friendly service. Well priced for a quick pop in snack. We had toasted cheese and tomato on croissant. Parking is a bit of a mission as Brickfield Road gets busy with buses going to the Upper East End Hotel.
El Greeyo has such friendly barristers Tesfaye and Anele, a great vibe, delicious coffee and a tasty menu. Enquire about the daily special, but be sure to try out the quiche, burgers, chicken wrap and daily juice mixes.
This gorgeous, cosy spot is my favourite place to relax, catch up on some admin, drink every variety of coffee drink, eat a muffin , a quiche or a goodly sandwich. Friendly, vibey, but not loud and replete with comfortable corners to relax in (and the wonderful aroma of coffee) it is my first choice in all sorts of ways.
A crisp and sunny morning in Cape Town found us at this cafe for coffee and muffins before our appointments. The staff were super friendly, helpful and served us the most delicious coffee. We ended up buying a huge bag of the crushed beans as we had to take this with us. The muffins were delicious and warm and I haven't eaten a vanilla muffin that good ever! It was our first morning in Cape Town so we were soaking in the environment. We will definitely return. Thank you.
'El GREEYO'pleace at Saltriver where the test of a good Cuban coffee predominates, peoples of different background especially students, business people comes to share with them ( El greeyo crew) their good service and hospitality, every day you will find an especial meal of the day, affordable and unique. In my personal view is a very good place to come to share with friends and more importantly to enjoy their very ontological Cuban music.

This is real value for money. Don't let the exterior or busy road outside deter you, go inside. We had the meal of the day, quesadilla's. A plate full for R50, I couldn't finish, and without a doubt the most delicious strawberry and lemon juice I have tasted! Refreshing, and not sweet. If they bottled it I'd buy a litre! Only R15 a glass, real value for money.
