Was on vacation with a friend of mine and we were looking for a place to have our breakfast when we found this beautiful place. I must say I enjoyed the cozy vibe it had. we enjoyed the breakfast selection and the smoothies in mason jars! The waitresses were helpful and I think we had the chance to meet the owners as well. lovely people.

Cute little cafe with really good coffee and croissants! The best I’ve eaten so far in the city. The staff is warm and friendly. The food menu looks inviting so will definitely try it next time. The watermelon mint skinny smoothie is fantastic and a must try.

Family owned business - I assume - the place is quickly and quiet. You can see ppl waking in getting their cup of joe while they say their usual hellos. Seems like everybody knows everyone around there. I had to order the eggs Benedict Avocado and side of onion rings - I went all out on that. Very rich and the hollandaise sauce was super creamy - sill tryin to think how was it so creamy - loved it. Love the hidden gem and if I’m back in Cape Town - I will be heading back soon for more breakfastporn there :)

I have always been amazed by the food produced by the observatory branch. Unfortunately the cape town branch lacks proper customer service. My friend wanted flapjacks and was told that the chef has been off for months and no one else can make the flapjacks. She orders a croissant instead and it come hella stale. I order a eggs Benedict and the egg was proper undercooked (runny egg white). I send it back and it is returned hard and dry. They basically microwaved the whole plate, egg, bacon, bread soaked in sauce and covered with rocket - all of it microwaved! . I was shocked and the microwave meal was not edible. The place smelled of leaking gas and we left there hungry and smelling of gas not to mention disappointed.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast on green market square, as there isn't much open on Sundays it was good to see Honeybun open. I was pleased to see they use Truth coffee ! <br/>We had simple brekkie of the aptly named Recession brekkie which is a good deal at R22.<br/>They are on the Entertainer but be warned you can't use it on their recession brekkie

A lovely little cafe in a cool area. Unfortunately the service we received was very slow and the food took ages to come out. The food was nice but could have been better.

Delicious! <br/><br/>Quirky little place that serves delicious "something different" meals at not bad prices. <br/><br/>Atmosphere is lovely and decor gives it a warm welcome feeling. <br/><br/>Service is great and the staff is very friendly. Loved it!

When you mind has been made up of what you want to eat, it's easy to find the ideal place. Saturday morning, after a long week I've been craving a healthy light snack (museli bowl) but all too bad when the restaurant you choose only has 4 seasonal fruits. Nonetheless, I ended up having the best sandwich. What's a Saturday morning without a nice cup of coffee and vibrant sounds of the city and market.

What a cute little place ! It was one of those days I craved a good hearty breakfast and as per zomato, Honeybun it was. I had a takeaway and for R60 I received 3X bacon 1X toast 1X sausage, mushrooms, tomato and 2X eggs. The sausage is big, juicy and tasty. The eggs were made the way I love them however there was no seasoning on it at all. Underneath the eggs was the bacon, soaked in oil. I should be saying that is so unhealthy and not appetizing but man the breakfast was good. Filling, delicious albeit very oily. I was looking for something bad-a$$ and I got it at Honeybun. I also had their latte which was delicious too. Service is lacking though, no one smiled, I'm not sure if it's because it's so cold out but for such a cute place the service could be better.

Visited Honeybun on a cold Autumn day, needing something to warm me up from the inside. <br/><br/>I decided on the Spicy Butternut Soup, but sadly they had just given the last bit to another customer. So next choice was the Cape Malay Chicken Curry and boy, am I glad that they were out of Butternut Soup! They portion was huge for only R80! The curry was accompanied by basmati rice, a large pappadam, sambals and mint raita. I couldn't even finish the meal! The curry was so flavoursome, the pappadam really tasty and everything combined was just amazing.<br/><br/>I would definitely be back soon to try some other items on the menu. The service was excellent and there were some croissants staring at me while I walked out, which I definitely still need to try!

The friendly waitress is the only reason I'm giving the café a score at all.<br/>We ordered our meal and beverages.15 minutes later we were told that our order can't be prepared because the croissants weren't delivered. I don't understand why it took 15minutes to inform us...the café was not busy.<br/><br/>We ordered sandwiches instead and the order was filled incorrectly, delaying our meal by a further 15 minutes. My sandwich was average.<br/><br/>I used the toilet and was totally put off by the cockroaches and mortified when I found one crawling on me.<br/><br/>When I told the waitress about the pest problem, she wasn't surprised at all but rather told us about other cockroach incidents.<br/><br/>

Felt like a fresh salad for lunch recently and having tried Honeybun in Obs; thought I would give the CBD branch a go.<br/><br/>I ordered the Spicey Summer Salad which consists of 7 spices grilled chicken breast, cherry tomato, cucumber spaghetti, red onion slithers, apple wedges, leafy greens, naartjie and a honey mustard dressing for R65.<br/><br/>I replaced the tomato (am allergic) with avocado and got 2 thin slices. The apple was half cooked which was a little weird. The naartjie didn't taste right so I left it. The chicken was tasty and tender.<br/><br/>Can't help thinking that the quality would have been better if I had dined in.....

Stopped by for breakfast before work and it was the perfect start to my day. I ordered the scrambled eggs and an Americano. I requested hot milk but got cold instead - but it was a train smash. The staff was friendly and the prices are reasonabled. Might make it a weekly breakfast spot. Compared to the branch in obz this one is way better in terms of layout and service.

We used to frequent the Honeybun in Obs, so were delighted when this one opened up after we moved to town. They do amazing chocolate croissants, delicious coffee, and really good (and reasonable) breakfasts. The staff are friendly and the location is vibey, right on Greenmarket Square. We'll keep coming back :)

A buddy and I have been wanting to try their food for a while, and decided to make the trip during the busy lunch period. We were greeted with friendly smiles. I had the Chicken, Bacon & Avo burger. My buddy had the Beef burger. It was filling and very tasty!!! Will definitely be going again.......

Came here during the busy lunch hour period and it became packed really fast. It's such a cute little place with views of Green Market Square. <br/><br/>I ordered the Spicy Quinoa and Tomato soup and my boyfriend ordered a chicken sandwich which the waitress happily turned into a wrap. <br/><br/>The soup was thick and creamy, which made it filling. It's served with delicious bread. <br/><br/>We also tried their lovely smoothies. The watermelon mint seems to be a big hit. So refreshing on a hot summer day. <br/><br/>Can't wait to visit again 😀
