Hmm...not expected this....very inviting ambience, the staff is courteous , service is efficient....food choice is limited, as only once dish for vegetarians....but on non veg side very disappointing....ordered pork chops, chicken pasta and barbecue grilled half chicken...it seemed they used the same sauce for everything...pasta almost remained untouched...

Good food and service.<br/>However waiters get pissed over a tip lol started bringing up service charge for 2 people 🙆🏽♀️<br/>Manager doesnt come when requested by customers.<br/>Dont think ill go there again.

The food comes in huge portions and is very tasty. <br/>Service is a little slow but it's not the worst I've seen. <br/>The vibe is very nice and comfortable.

After a long day at the office, we were looking for a place to chill and kill time and stumbled across this 'little' place. We decided to sit down and have a meal, the Long Street Cafe burger to be specific. The meal was average. Too average for the duration of the wait (more then 45 minutes) but we were patient. We were killing time in any case. Not so sure if I'd want to visit again though 😐

Ate here once, and never again. Service is quite slow and found the pizza's to be quite average. I had a margarita and a strawberry milkshake.

I don't know. I know I used to frequent this spot as a first year. But are first years really so oblivious to bad service and just about average food? I actually think so! <br/>What I do know is that I really used to enjoy their pizzas. So I stepped back in and tried to have a margherita with some fries. "Tried to" - because I couldn't finish more than a slice without feeling a little disappointed. The taste of nostalgia did not come to mind...I guess my tastebuds have really developed because it seemed just okay to me. My problem was mostly with the base (it was thin and crispy), but tasted more like a water cracker rather than the Neapolitan pizza that I long for. Or maybe they were just having a bad day??? Maybe I'm just being really harsh? But it's good to see that they're still busy :)

Not my cup of tea, the venue is to big and feels cold, service has never been consistent and the food is average at best. Maby I just have been there at the wrong times but I'm not keen to go back.

The service here is incredibly slow, just be warned! But my friend & I keep finding ourselves returning here because of the vibe & arguably it has the cheapest drinks on Long. (30 for Hunter's Dry, R35 for Castle Light Draught). The interior is of a rustic vibe, which can get quite intimate late at night especially with the low lighting. They always play great music, but I've only been here on a Saturday late afternoon to late night so I wouldn't know how the vibe is during the week. <br/><br/>My friend & I had the ribs & wings combo which cost R125. (The menu on Zomato needs to be updated) The meal was big enough for two people but could still be eaten by one person. It was our first time ordering food here as we always have drinks & we were pleasantly surprised. The ribs were very very succulent & the sauce was amazing. The wings could've done with more flavouring though. I'm looking forward to coming back & trying the nachos as well as the burgers. <br/><br/>We stayed till late into the night & ordered a side of chips for R25 which were fresh & crispy. <br/><br/>Save for the slow service, this is one of my favourite places on Long. Worth a visit.

I was surprised by how good the food was here considering that it looks like a bar from outside. The nachos were delicious and they had fresh avo and tomato and lots of cheese. The burgers were also good and the waitress was friendly.

I really like a menu with lots of variety! This place certainly had it! I've been here twice and the staff are always helpful and attentive. Nachos are great as well as the chicken avo burger. I'm eager to try other items on the menu! Charné

Great place to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The menu is good, they offer a little bit of everything - a couple breakfasts, a couple pastas, a couple pizzas, burgers etc. I really enjoy the Muesli Bowl from their breakfasts. It is always fresh and yummy! <br/><br/>Weekend nights, to me, this is more of a one-too-many-drinks place than a dinner and convo place. I wouldn't come here for a Thursday/Friday/Saturday meal with my family but I would come for a bite to eat and many drinks with friends. <br/><br/>I have always had good service here and the I am a huge fan of the trendy CBD atmosphere you get sitting street side.

Great place to go for cocktails before going out! I had the Amaretto/Espresso which was pretty tasty, but I also enjoyed the pina collada. There's a pretty good selection of drinks on the menu and the prices are average to low!

Nice place to grab a drink or a meal on Long Street. They have a lot of daily specials, including a weekday burger special that isn't bad. Nothing particularly special about this place, but nothing terrible either.

Nice location and cold beers. Service slow and basic, and sitting outside you are constantly approached by beggars, charity requests and hawkers. I would expect the staff or manager to discourage this... Food very average. Nice stop for a beer... But there are much better around.

A very cool place that I stumbled upon whilst looking for a place to enjoy a quick business lunch. The beers are fantastic and the food is pretty decent for a good price. I like the old-timey steam punk type interior and sitting in the CBD watching all the crazy people amble by was fantastic. Would visit again for sure!

Went to the Long Street Cafe one evening, as they were screening United's match on the weekend. It's a pretty simple place, good staff, casual ambience, with outdoor seating as well, Long Street Cafe makes up for the perfect place to chill-out with your friends.<br/><br/>As far as I remember, they have special offers for each day of the week. My friend and I ordered a beer each, and settled down to watch United thump the opposition team. We also ordered Chicken Nachos which were topped which cheese and served with salsa sauce. The nachos were fantastic and the quantity was huge, we could not finish it despite our best efforts. After a couple of rounds of beer we ordered the famous Long Island Iced Tea. It tasted real sweet in the beginning, but became extremely strong as the glass emptied. In the end we ordered a Jagermeister shot each, which rounded off a perfect evening of good food, alcohol, and awesome football.

Nice place to grab a quick beer in Long Street. The place does not look that great from outside but don't get confused by it. It is very lively inside. Also good for a quick bite if you are hungry. One can see a part of their kitchen which is always busy cooking something or the other. <br/><br/>Nothing extraordinary about this place but it is nice in its own ways for a beer and a quick bite.<br/>If you are in Long Street and confused where to go because of the big line of restaurants in front of you, can definitely give this place a try !
