Food is amazing, delicious properly cooked scrambled eggs, yummy chicken, fantastic roast veg and great salads. I eat or order from here at least once a week. One of the best chicken sandwiches in the city by far.
Great, fast service and delicious food! Bacon was super crispy, my favourite! The variety of breads is great. happy I found this place! highly recommend
Great service friendly staff. My only concern is that you add more vegan friendly dishes to your menu. Very happy to come by again. Best organic dark hot chocolate when you are on the go.
Breakfast at Franks is always lovely, we were first to arrive. Immediately ordered before it got busy, our food came quickly and it was great. Best breakfast in the CBD. See you soon!!
Good wholesome food everyday. My go to office lunch. Delivery is a great option. Try the chicken and chicken and leek.pie. Roast veg is exeptional. Everything is fresh everyday.
Cute Cozy place on upper Bree street- really great coffee and wine seller. We grabbed breakfast at this cafe and it was absolutely amazing. Fresh granola that you get to choose with some yogurt and then coffee really packs a punch. Would definitely go back.
I keep coming back to this amazing cafe over and over . Love the wide selection of healthy yet tasty food. You can build your own plate of food, which allows you try different taste experiences . Or if you can't make up your mind , order from the pre-selected menu. Service is fast and the owner is wonderful to talk to.
Cafe Frank has a quirky little charm about it. There's a counter that you order at then pay and sit, cute and clean interior and an incredible menu. The coffee is delicious and the Bircher muesli and yogurt with berry compote is incredible- I always have the same dish!!!
i had their coffee and their muesli which i found really good. its a quirky little place that i found rather odd at first but it always surprises me.
Some of the best roast chicken I've had in Cape Town. The salads that accompany the chicken are so good and it's all so healthy so I don't feel bad. It's a unique lunch spot and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quick tasty meal
This is the perfect little cafe to catch lunch of you work this side of the CBD. I had the Salmon with Raspberry dressing and Green bean salad + a fresh apple and pineapple juice. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The price is a bit steep though around R107 for my meal. I will definitely be going back during the first half of the month when my budget allows it. I would like to see more carb-free meals on the menu thought.
Nota bad place to have a good cup of coffee in town, wasn't super impressed with their food but a great place to sit and chill if you have time to kill

Went there for breakfast on Good Friday. The only restaurant open in Bree st. Lovely setting. Little disappointing as they had no chicken or croissants. Opted for the mushroom, chive and truffle omelet with sourdough bread and iced coffee. Omelet was great although the truffles make it super rich and the iced coffee best I've had. Worth a visit.
Cafe Frank is a very sweet little restaurant that serves really health foods, Delicious sandwiches and juices. Although a bit pricey, I have never had a bad experience and their staff are friendly.
Their Salmon Omelette is a special special dish. Will have to control myself not to pop down everyday and treat myself to a little piece of yummyness everyday.
Such a great spot for a nice healthy lunch. I usually have the roast chicken pieces with a variety of salads/veg. Always a great selection and tastes fantastic! I enjoy the general atmosphere where you can grab a quick healthy bite and site on the side walk and watch the world pass by. Really great little spot.
Cafe Frank is hard to resist when in town.. Such an easy place to quickly hop in for a gourmet style sandwich. My favorite is their Coronation Chicken served on your choice of bread. I usually take their standard Bagel! The Coronation Chicken could be on the hot side if you are not a fan of spicy food. But for me it just hits the right spots every time. They recently had some renovations done and used their space more efficiently. The other sandwich I like is their Cured Salted Beef with Red Cabbage and mustard amongst other toppings. On occasion you get slightly too much mustard, but overall a great choice. For a meat free option I usually go for the Hummus,Artichoke and carrots bagel. Interestingly enough, they also stock a small selection of premium wines. Which makes it quite convenient should you need a bottle for the evening. Can't wait to visit again.

I haven't been back to cafe frank since their renovations, but it's definitely on my to do list. The food there is yummy, and they cater very well for the health conscious and the glutards of the world. Their muesli is particularly delish, as are their eggy breakfasts. They have a little bit of a deli section, which usually means you don't leave empty handed.
Being opposite Jason you would think they might struggle, they don't. At all. And you'll find them just as full - and rightfully so.
I love Cafe Frank even more after their renovations. The food is always consistent, their coffees are great and service is always given with a smile. Be sure to miss the lunch hour rush to get a table.
Cafe Frank has an amazing mix of good food, drinks and a pretty sick vibe.
The cafe offers a hybrid experience between a bakery cafe and a quaint coffee house , Cafe Frank offers amazing food coupled with a very self help atmosphere, merging everyone into the scene.
The Pesto Chicken bagel was very generously portioned and tasted amazing. I can't wait to go back and try something else on their superb menu.
We tried to eat at Jason's across the road, but it was busy. So instead we went to Frank's.
This was a cool little joint, nice and laid back, where tables get shared, scented water is on the shelf and a lot of their offerings are displayed proudly on the counter.
I had the quarter roast chicken, with potato and coleslaw. The chicken was a bit dry since it is pre-roasted and then obviously heated up in some way. My friends ordered the chicken and leek pies, and these seemed to be winner meals.
My only semi gripe is how you have to order at the counter. This applies mainly to the coffees and drinks, and not so much to the food (since you've probably gone to eye what's on offer). But in busier times, in the back of my mind there's always that "risk" that you get up to order and someone has snaked your table or something.
Great little place. Basically stumbled across it while looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast - I had their muesli and yoghurt, one of the best I've had! And a great flat white. The order-at-the-counter and they serve you is what I think is best for a quick bite. Really awesome little plek on Bree, and view of the mountain too if you sit on the sidewalk. Will definitely go back for a sundowner sometime!
What a delicious surprise. All day breakfast (always a winner), great service and a really decent cup (s? of coffee. I've previously had a packed picnic from here which was lovely. Don't know if they still do that, but it was really worthwhile. They have wifi as well. Winner all round.
The coffee here is superb! There is a good selection of goodies to purchase in the shop, from large biscuits to already prepared meals and fresh produce. The muesli bars are delicious and full of nuts and seeds. Will be trying the lunch buffet next time. A great town spot, out of the chaos.
Fresh and healthy foods with a lovely salad variety. Not cheap, but affordable, the food portions are reasonable and the quality is of a high standard, service is a little slow - because they get quite busy over lunch hour. Perfect for work lunches, especially if you just want salad and a piece of chicken.
Cafe Frank in Bree Street is located in one of my favourite Art Deco buildings in town. So even if they served rubbish food, I would go there every now and again, just to see the building's gracious lines. But, luckily for me, they don't! Whenever I am in the vicinity, whether I am hungry or not, I cannot resist going up to their hole in the wall counter and ordering a roast beef sandwich. They do it with caramalised onion and mustard, and the generous portion and filling is enough to feed two people and obsolutely delicious. So take a friend. Enjoy.
What a great street side cafe. This is the perfect place for breakfast or a light lunch.
Great selection.
Just love Cafe Frank for a quick, healthy, affordable and yummy lunch. The vibe is an added bonus.
Loved the restaurant
Great service
Offers delivery
Food was so fresh and have a great pastry section.
Best place for a healthy lunch. Loved their daily bowls and platters. Came back already a few times.
Best place in Cape Town to start into the day, with great coffee and breakfast. Lovely staff and very friendly owner.
Excellent service and the place has a nice feeling to it, the menu is nice and simple not to complicated and food is excellent
I love ordering from Cafe Frank. It's easy, convenient and they deliver my order fast. Their food is of a high quality, scrumptious and fresh! They often go the extra mile, which I truly appreciate as a customer. Great job team. Thank you!
Delicious little café with a lovely atmosphere on Bree Street. Great breakfast, lunch and take-home menu, all made fresh every day. Favourites include the chicken mayo rye bagel and the carrot cake!
Awesome lunch options that I assume change regularly if not daily as well as a few regular options. Cafe Frank is perfect for take away, a quick sit down or even a place to work. The indoor heaters keep the inside area warm on a cold day and there is street dude seating which would be great on a warm day. Easy order at the counter system and friendly staff.
An absolute gem on Bree Street with excellent coffee and top quality food.
Stopped in briefly to grab a coffee and prepare for a meeting. Coffee was good, service was friendly - I was happy.
I love sitting here for hours doing work, it is a lovely place but the manageress (could be owner, not sure) is a little sour but the staff are friendly and welcoming. Offers Wi-Fi and a good coffice choice. Would be so much better if their seating had a little cushioning.
Awesome breakfast and lunch spot on Bree Street.
What an experience, absolutely top notch and the best in town. Firstly, let me start by thanking Channe for assisting us with placing our order. She was so friendly and helpful, it was our saving grace because we couldn't decide what we wanted from this amazing menu. The delivery that was done by Ezra was a highlight for sure, he was so accommodating and professional. To the kitchen staff, yall are the BEST. Everyone at the meeting was very impressed by the sandwiches. Thank you for the experience and we cannot wait to order our saamies from your business again
My fav go-to cafe in Cape Town for consistently excellent, fresh, seasonal, simple food.

Great breakfast and lunch food. Lots of healthy options. Loved the Bircher oats. Enjoyed some fresh and healthy salad options for lunch. The oat milk cortado is the best and smoothest I've had in Cape Town (and I've had a lot!) Staff are nice. Outside seating is lovely on a sunny day.
I've only ever grabbed a coffee in passing but every time has been a pleasant experience. Friendly staff, sometimes a bit slower during rush hour. Menu is simple but looks good at reasonable prices.
Highly recommend the date balls, they taste like ferrero rocher!
