Really yummy food. Went there for breakfast and had the chicken toasted tramazini and it was lovely and was great portion sizes.
It was quite busy but that we had anticipated in going there. Very beautiful decor inside.
Will 100% return.
We celebrated my mom's birthday at Sabria's last night we were 12 guests and ordered a variety of items off the menu. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed there meals. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. I was very impressed with the quality and efficiency especially it being a week night. Keep up the goodwork Sabria's.
So this was a few weeks ago, on a chilly night in Cape Town. My husband, myself and a few of our siblings and cousins were looking for some good food to warm us up and Sabrias definitely did that!
We had their steaks and ribs and a few of their desserts. Everything we ordered just tasted perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The cute and contemporary design of the little restaurant gives it that homey feeling. We had a bit of a wait, for about 20 minutes on our food but it's understandable seeing that we were such a big group, all ordering steak or ribs.
It's a place I'd recommend to anyone. I've yet to return but cannot wait to do so.

Excellent evening spent with family. Great food, drinks and ambience. Food was soo tasty, served hot and steaks made according our specifications. Treated well from beginning to the end. Definitely a go to place, will be seeing Sabrias in the future
Sabria's is ok. They promote themselves as a place you would go out of your way to have a meal but I doubt you would find many diners from outside of the Southern Suburbs or Cape Flats on its busiest night. Slightly better than the Lounge on Kromboom but then again the prices are slightly higher.
The 200g rump was nice and juicey, the chips were well prepared and they steer well clear of the 'mosage dite' you can get at the legendary Cozy Corner. One thing I can say is that the grills do have that distinctive char-grilled fullhouse steak gatsby taste that leaves you thinking "maybe we should have just gone for Cozy Corner". The drinks were typical, run of the mill options one would expect from a Halaal restaurant - suprised they don't expand on more virgin equivalent drinks just for the sake of variety.
The setting is quite nice for evening dining but the lack of parking facilities and aircon lets you down.
I wouldn't propose at Sabria's but I would consider celebrating an anniversary there. Nice try guys, probably best Halaal restaurant Wynberg has to offer.

Always good atmosphere , relaxed , complemented by good food and good service. Perfect for romantic night out or family dinners and I have had the pleasure of doing both ...
On my last visit had the Hake and chips and it was awesome ..... Kudos to the chef ..
It was the best place I've been to in my life. It's very comfortable and not loud , a great place to take a girl on a date and if you looking for the perfect steak I'm sure you'll find it here. My only problem was that the food took a bit long but when the good came it was really worth the wait
It's a cool place. The location is a bit crappy. There's never any parking. The food was really good though. I had the fillet steak. I take it medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The mushroom sauce was not great. It also wasn't worth R15. The portion was so small it was basically useless. Desert was ok. It was nothing amazing. The steak would make me go back though.
Lovely fine dining restaurant that's strictly halaal. Service was excellent and food was too. There was a buffet for 150pp from 1-3pm for Sunday Lunch but we opted for the a la Carte menu. We ordered the nachos for starters only to find out afterwards that there's actually jalapeno poppers as starters too which wasn't on the menu. For mains I had the 200g rump steak and hubby had the mixed grill. Both dishes were served timeously by our waiter and were tender and succulent which is hard to get right if you prefer your meat well done.
Atmosphere was very relaxed and there was actually live entertainment but not sure if it's a regular thing.
Surely seems like a nice place to pop in for a casual hangout place or to catch up over coffee and croissants or scones which are served throughout the day.
I think they cater for larger family events too but bookings have to be made for that.
Overall, a lovely fine dining place that's not too full of airs and graces.
Took my wife and 2 friends for supper here last night. Food was very nice but the service received from the maitre d' was excellent. Wife had a question about her food and before I could call a waiter she was standing right next to me and replaced my wifes' dish in a matter of minutes. Natasha if I remember correctly, thank you, made our evening with the great service. Will definitely bring the rest of my family next time.
Unexpectedly one of the most accommodating and value for money restaurants... We've had many large birthday dinners at Sabria's, although it's a bit of a wait when you're ordering for 20+ people (expected), I can guarantee that they will deliver with excellence. There's a large variety on the menu, the set up reminds me of a vineyard restaurant and they are 100% halaal. The staff are so friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a family/ halaal restaurant to enjoy a large group dinner at, I would definitely pick sabria's over any other halaal joint in cape town.
A cosy setting in the heart of Wynberg. A real favorite on my list. A romantic and yet family friendly restaurant with a touch of class. Besides the obvious charm, the service is top class. Warm and genuine. The food is delicious and will suite almost all tastes. My Mom always said. If you want to judge a good eating house, visit the restrooms. They take pride in cleanliness. That says a lot for any establishment. They are well priced and excellent quality food. You can take your mother, girlfriend or life partner there any day. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We decided to have a mini surprise breakfast for my sisters birthday. I called ahead to make a reservation and was amazed by the great service we received. We were about 11 adults and 5 kiddies and it was great that they even had a little section with toys for the kids to play with.
We waited a bit long for our food and the portions were a bit small but it was tasty.
I think next time I would rather go back for a lunch or supper.
What a wonderful place. The chicken curry was the best I've ever had. The ambience is lovely and I would consider this a great date spot. Halal fare at its finest.
Last week, we invited a group of bloggers and foodies to enjoy quite a rare event in Cape Town: a strictly Halaal fine dining experience. Sabria's did not disappoint! The food was excellent and plentiful, to the point where we simply could not finish what was placed before us. We tasted from sharing platters of curries, seafood dishes and steak - all were delicious and beautifully presented. My hands-down winner for the night was the curry (all three variations) and, of course, dessert; which was an array of chocolatey delights. The mud pie was the best I've ever tasted. From start to finish, we were looked after by the friendly staff with utmost care, and the restaurant ambience and decor is aspirational (like, I want my house to look like that). I would recommend Sabria's to anyone - whether you eat Halaal or not!

Sabria's is a hidden gem. Their "fine dining" halaal tag line lives up to their brand promise.
Wynberg is not really known for fine-dining so when I arrived I was not sure what to expect. I used to go to Cosy Corner (the sit-down section) with my parents as a kid and had vague memories of fish tanks (which I loved) and beaded curtains.
Parking is a bit limited but there were car guards to watch the vehicles.
When I stepped into the venue, my jaw dropped. The place looked fresh, trendy and very beautiful. The space has been completely transformed. Kudos to the person who dreamed this beaut into existence.
I was greeted by the very kind host who directed me to the rest of the Zomato reviewers. There we were treated to a special menu for the evening - 4 courses to be exact. It started with a refreshing strawberry (virgin) daiquiri. We were met by the owner, Yousri Hartley, who gave us an insight into the long and rich history of the restaurant (and role in the apartheid struggle) but also the reason as to why they felt a halaal fine-dining option was needed in Cape Town. I found the history really interesting and I think tourists would too. I hope to see Sabria's become a part of many tourists Cape Town itinerary. Ofcourse, locals will also enjoy the amazing Cape Malay and Indian food.
From there we were served wonderful pre-starters that were hard to resist eating (I was actively trying to "keep space" for the other courses). Next up were two types of salad - smoked chicken salad and a salmon salad. I enjoyed the smoked chicken.
The mains consisted of various dishes - large portions that were way too large for any of us to finish! It was the first time I tasted white handi- it was good! - but be warned, it was a little hot (which I loved). The prawn curry was also a hit. I really enjoyed the rump steak. It was tender, juicy and tasty. I was wishing I had "more space". I guess another visit is needed. The veggies, rice and roti were also great.
They gave us some time between the main course and dessert thankfully. The dessert was fantastic. I highly recommend the Mississippi mud pie. Everyone was raving about it. I would go back right now, just for that.
Sabria's is a much needed halaal fine-dining restaurant. I loved that they retained the fish tanks and more importantly, the delicious food. Do yourself a favour and let the highly skilled chefs treat your taste buds.
Sabria's is part of Cosy Corner, one of the most popular takeout places in Wynberg. It's been around for some years but has relaunched as a Fine Dining establishment, one of the very few fully halaal fine dining venues in Cape town, about 3 months ago. While I know all about Cosy Corner, I hadn't been to Sabria's yet and was keen to try out this "fancy" spinoff from it's grass roots beginnings.
Arrival time was 6.30pm. Parking on Ottery main road is a challenge at any given time and I was so lucky to find a space right outside in one of the parking bays across the road. There is also parking available at the Church behind the restaurant and I understand there is usually someone there to watch the cars. The decor in the restaurant has been beautifully done. It is chic while still retaining a warmth and excuse the pun, cosiness. Lighting was low and while it is a fine dining venue the atmosphere was still quite relaxed. Our table was set against the wall with a long bench covered in comfy cushions on one side and chairs on the other.
Our hosts started us on canapes of bruschetta covered in various toppings of roasted vegetables, Camembert cheese, and smoked salmon. While we tucked in, Yousri Hartley, the owner of Cosy Corner and Sabria's, popped over and gave us a little history about the place. Established in 1973, Cosy Corner was one of Cape Town’s first Halaal eateries. It still operates from the very same corner in Wynberg, and is still owned and run by the family who started it. It's a family business that also played its part in the apartheid struggle. Once home to artist Jacques Coetzee who fought against apartheid and was harboured there by the family.
There was more food than we could possibly get through without ruining our appetite for the many other dishes that were to come. The theme of plenty would set the tone for the rest of the meal and we were hard pressed to pace ourselves over each course just so we could sample a morsel of everything. I will let the pictures do the talking.
Date night,
I decided to take my girlfriend for dinner at Sabria's for the Rib special on tuesday's ,
Food was excellent
Decor is something out of a magazine
Service is better than a 5 star restaurant
Well done i will be back for more
My sisters, nieces and I had the most amazing lunch at Sabrias Restaurant on Mother's Day. When we arrived the place was quite full but the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. It was clearly those diners' favourite dining spot. We were greeted by a very friendly manager who asked us to wait in the courtyard while our table was being prepared for us. Food was prepared well and in good time and I thoroughly enjoyed my thandoori prawns as did my family who had from various steaks, pasta and curries. It was not my first visit and will surely not be my last. Thanks Sabrias, keep up the good work and excellent service!
Sunday breakfast with hubby. First glance at the menu I thought it was a bit pricey, but the quality and taste definitely made up for it. Their homemade sauces are to die for. Plating is beautiful. There wasn't much people, so I can't really review on the atmosphere, but the owner and staff very friendly. Fast service. 10% service fee is automatically added to the bill. Venue is spotless and cosy. Very happy that I stumbled onto this place by accident.
The best steak I have ever eaten - cooked to perfection.
Our starters were fresh and tasty, mains were filling and to order, with dessert being out of this world!
We received royalty level service throughout the evening.
The restaurant was clean, and the bathrooms very neat.
Parking was directly infront of the restaurant, street based at no cost.
Wynberg.
My family and I went to Sabria’s for my bday celebration. It was a lovely evening, not too busy.
We were lucky to find parking right infront of the door so my mother didn’t have to walk too far as she walks with a walker.
The food was amazing. Service was a bit slow but overall it was a very memorable evening 👌
From the friendly welcome, inviting decor and ambiance, to the excellent service, Sabria's ticked all the right boxes. The attentive staff heard us wishing our son a happy birthday and went out of their way to make him feel special. The best gift though, was his perfectly prepared steak...
We will definitely be back.
Absolutely delicious food! Chef Imrhan has a golden touch in the kitchen. Everything was perfect. The atmosphere was wonderful, we didn't even feel the wait for the food. Service on point. Our waitor Sheasby was fantastic! Thank you!
Also; BEST BROWNIE EVER! 👌🏼
Edit; the food was so good we changed our plans and came back instead, and once again, they did not disappoint at all.
We had my friends wedding anniversary dinner here. The first thing I would like to mention is the atmosphere , ambience of the restaurant . Each table had candles , there was soft lighting , the seating was soft and cushioned, there was soft lovely love songs playing in the background. This all created a nice relaxing , comfortable environment in which to dine.
On to the food . My friend and I both had steak and her husband had a serving of Lamb curry. My steak I ordered medium , her was medium to well . Both our steaks were perfectly cooked and evenly as well. There was some type of Danya puree on each steak plate which complimented the steak in terms of flavor. She had regular fries and I , sweet patatoe fries. Her husband said his curry was nice , a medium curry with a hint of spice .
The service was good , very attentive . the resturant was not busy so they were always checking up to see if the meal was good . At the end of the meal the waiter provided each one of us with a white hot hand towl smelling of strong Lemon to clean up . was a very once touch .
Will for sure return in the future for a nice dining experience.
My first experience at Sabria's was quite interesting. I've always passed the restaurant without giving it a thought or a try. When I did, I was so impressed! I love steak, so when my food came, I was absolutely stunned. I'm glad we made the reservation to go there. The vibe is amazing. I witnessed an engagement take place as well. So the venue is quite ideal for an intimate gathering. The service is good as well because I had an issue with my wedges. Manager came around, stopped it out for me. I will definitely return.
I was looking for a place where my fiancee and l can get a nice and delicious Indian meal , a friend of mine suggested that l should go to Sabria’s restaurant.,honestly speaking l wish l knew this restaurant long time ago,the food and the service was so amazing, for starters l had mussels and had a great drink mojito, the meal it self was mushroom cheddar melt fillet,l promise you will not be disappointed and the lady who served my fiancee and l she was so friendly l will love to come again and being served by her what a great service thank you Esther
The best meal I have had for 2022!! Most delicious HALAAL herb crusted fillet steak with mustard jus. Tandoori prawns with sweet potato fries and to finish off an awesome dinner....traditional Cape Koeksusters!! Please try this place out when you're in CPT!!
Lovely, authentic Indian food. A bit on the pricy side but worth it. Disappointing that traditional Indian desserts are not served to complement the starters & mains.
Lack of parking is the reason I will not book out the entire place fir a staff function.
Beautiful decor and great service.
My husband had the ribs and I had a calamari dish with basmati rice. He enjoyed the ribs but my meal was bland and had too little salt.
I had a vanilla shake which I really enjoyed.
The seating is beautiful but the couches are not practical because they are very low so it's not easy to eat while sitting there.
Be prepared to spend around R200 per meal.
Great gem tucked away. They have an extensive menu from curries to steaks and burgers.
The restaurant is small and can become a little loud. The food is delicious. Recommend the lamb curry.
Sabrias is the one place I can count on to always get the best food. Every single thing you order tastes beautiful, the staff are so sweet and the vibe is so relaxing. Sabrias is a fine dining fully halaal restaurant that is perfect for any occasion.
