Watch Michael expertly prepare fresh making, California rolls, sashimi and tempura prawns. Delicious misi soup available. All efforts are made to cater to various food allergies.

The restaurant looks good and the staff are pleasant however we were disappointed with the food. We ordered sweet and sour pork, and pork with noodles, these were equally as dissatisfying. It is unlike any other Chinese I have had before. To be fair, their sushi was alright and their dumplings were hand made and not bought frozen. I had really hoped this would have been a more exciting experience. I wouldn’t recommend the hand made noodles.

Popped in for sushi. Unfortunately it was not a particularly good experience. The food in itself was OK. However, the service was not good at all and I felt the food was overpriced. Probably should have ordered the noodles/rice....

A lovely restaurant that serves authentic Chinese food in the proper way. For a full experience you order a whole bunch of dishes for the table to share and try. The best sushi in the whole of Cape Town. It's so fresh and well prepared. Michael the sushi chef and owner is always friendly and welcoming!

I have been to willoughby's in the Waterfront, Beluga, Sevruga ..the list continues.. but NOTHING comes close to the experience that I had at this wonderful restaurant. The Service is like nothing I've ever experienced, the entire staff treat you like Family, and put the customer first at all times and the food.. is there even any words to explain it.. Fresh Sushi as if it was just caught from the Ocean, oh and did I mention they make their own noodles? If you want to take you partner out on a date, take a client out for a business meeting, take your family out for lunch or Dinner for sushi at a great price for everything you get.. THIS IS THE PLACE, I Cant't stress that enough. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE visit!! you will not regret it!!..infact i cant almost guarantee you will have an addiction (^_^)

Tiger Lily is a wonderful restaurant filled with an authentic vibe. We were looking for a new place to get some takeaway sushi and we came across this gem. <br/><br/>When you walk in you see a big clean restaurant and friendly staff. We ordered a rather large amount of sushi and the price was reasonable. We went to sit at the counter to watch them make it and started speaking to the owner. He let us try some of his spicy salmon Maki... which was great! Our sushi was incredibly good and very well presented! Will be back to try the noodles that were very highly recommend to us.

Best sushi in Cape Town by far!! Haven't had better sushi yet. The owner is an absolute sweetheart and they only offer the best service and food! We visit them weekly. Definitely worth stopping by! Their sushi is always fresh and their wine cold.

Best sushi I've had in Cape Town. Amazing hospitality, Japanese chef is top top class. We frequent here at least once a week. The waiting staff are also extremely friendly. Highly recommended.

Did not like the Chinese food or the attitude of the staff. They don't seem to take feedback very well unless it's positive. Maybe the sushi is good but not going back to find out

What a little hidden gem! Tucked away on Kommertjie Rd in Fish Hoek is arguably the best sushi spot this side of the mountain. Michael, the sushi chef creates a wonderful taste experience with spicy fried tuna maki and generous portions of all the usual staples! The cosy atmosphere is further enhanced by the log fire keeping things other than then delicious tempura prawn hand rolls toasty. This is set to become my new local hangout when a craving for exquisite Asian taste adventure!

A banting friendly sushi resturant had me intrigued... The rainbow rolls were spot on but the Tiger on a roll had rice in It which was unfortunate unless you are eating modified starch. If you are not Banting though is a really great family resultant, hubby had the Kung Pao chicken which as awesome with real Szechuan peppercorns! Worth a visit.

The Tigerlily - Kommetjie Rd<br/>Oh Dear<br/>Been on my 'To eat at' list for a while and honestly if today was a measure of things to come, all I can say is Oh Dear.<br/><br/>Mid afternoon and was close by and peckish. Seeing that The Tigerlily was a brisk walk away, decided to drop in for a quick and delicious standard before dinner sushi treat. (Salmon Fashion Sandwich).<br/>Received was a mediocre, mini version of a before dinner treat. Three tiny pieces , a hint of wasabi and really lousy ginger .Really not what I was expecting .No more needs to be said about today’s event.<br/><br/>In Summary - The venue itself lived up to first time visual expectations. Tastefully furnished,  bright, light and a comfortable feel about the dining area and bar.<br/>Definitely a venue one could enjoy an evening at.(Kiddies corner also available)<br/><br/>The owner (Michael) was present and when asked about 'The house specialties'<br/>he recommended  a few lip licking items that I will be trying out next time round.<br/>Namely the Kung Pao chicken (R70) the sliced beef in black bean sauce (R78) and the Pork Belly (R78). All sound delightful.<br/>For today I shall rather pretend it never happened.<br/>Will be back to re-evaluate and hopefully amend the current rating<br/><br/>Thanking you in advance<br/>Mr.G - Marcus Gibbons

The place: I didn't dine in, I ordered take away, but it looked comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated etc. The music was a touch too loud and the lighting was too bright. <br/><br/>The food: I ordered the sweet n sour pork and the beef in oyster sauce. My 2 'test' dishes when trying out a new Chinese place, if these are flops I generally don't go back. I wasn't that impressed with either. They weren't bad but I've had better, this is definitely NOT the best Chinese in Cape Town!. The pork balls were a little tough with a batter coating that kind of sticks to the meat. I prefer to have fluffy light batter with tender pork pieces inside. The sweet n sour sauce was also lacking flavor. <br/><br/>The beef oyster sauce was the better of the two dishes. The beef being tender and the oyster sauce was tasty albeit a little different to most I've tasted before. This one having a strong ginger flavor through it. <br/>I didn't order noodles or rice as I felt paying around R50 for a side dish that I'll only eat half of to be too much. <br/><br/>I probably will go back here sometime because the staff were friendly and the restaurant looked nice (certainly the nicest chinese restaurant on the southern peninsula) but my search for amazing Chinese food in Cape Town continues.

The food & service is excellent and prices are very reasonable - the sushi was on par with any sushi you'd be able to get at the Waterfront, in Cape Town I would have expected to pay a lot more. The décor is smart & the atmosphere was good - on a Thursday night there were 5 other tables with patrons. For 2 including sushi starter, crispy duck (@ R110 the most expensive thing on the menu) , another main & veg sides, bottle of wine and sake the bill came to just over R400.
