One of the best burger joints in CPT”
Visited 20 November 2015
A few colleagues & I found this place by accident and stopped there for lunch. The burgers were really good, one of the best I have had in CPT. Pity they are not licensed yet, a cold craft would have gone down nicely.

Themed Gourmet Burgers served American style in an awesome themed setting making you feel like you are sitting in Massachusetts's. Served by the owner himself wearing a Red Sox Jersey ,service was great, food was good - Definitely worth a visit!!!

If you looking for a great burger or some incredible Pork ribs this is THE place to go. Boston is also close to the V&A Waterfront and right in the middle of Cape Town CBD. Do your self a favour and check out this Amazing Spot.

Very good burger joint. I had the JFK with an ice cold lager on tap. Excellent!

My husband and I has been looking forward to coming here but after being told that the name changed and our voucher from Hyperli is not valid I am deeply disappointed. What I also don't understand is the website has not been updated and it still shows they trading as Boston. I request some answers as this is unacceptable and the voucher was paid for.

We visited this tucked away burger bar last week, Friday for dinner with friends from out of town.
Though it is small, we were one of two tables frequenting the place, which didn't make us feel cramped.
We of course had the burgers (one person wanted the pork ribs, but they were out), and enjoyed it - wasn't the best we've ever had, but hit the spot. Plus points: fries were good, patty was well seasoned and bun was well toasted. 3 of us had the JFK and the other the Wahlburger. Another plus, two parking areas are within walking distance - which does play a role when deciding on dinner in town.

I can't understand why this place isn't packed on a daily basis. The food is absolutely amazing! The beer is great and location is perfect.

So Saturday night ... Looking for some burgers, we find Boston. Pretty chilled, manger Duane playing some killer Funkanomic tracks and we decide to order some burgers. Went for the JFK... Service was speedy and food was really fantastic, the mere fact it comes on a brioche bun (not sure why more burger joints don't use this pillar of hamburger making beats me) great beef patty, yummy mature cheddar, stunning bread and butter pickle and the good ol' mayo. Was a really good eating experience will be back .... Brioche bun for the win.

Went on a Friday afternoon during working hours and didn't have too much time. I ordered an UMA burger with salad. The burger and salad was so delicious!!!! The service was very good. Ordered, and received my meal within 10 minutes..... Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu and Beer!!!!!!!!

We went to this place on Wednesday the 28th December, awesome voucher my boyfriend got on Groupon for us 😍 the menu showed just burgers but not alot of options to pick from. A bit disappointed that there was few items not available in stock, like the chicken wings, ice-cream for milkshakes and chicken breast for the burgers. Will definitely want to go again hopefully all the stock will be available. I had the UMA Burger "nice portion of cream cheese on that burger, really good but no taste of Salsa???" and my partner had the JKF Burger "as my partner describes as awesome" we had the Brutal Fruit drink and the Striped Horse for drinks

What a great find! Went there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, I had the walburger and uma burgers to share with fries. Both were really good my favourite was the Uma wich had jalapeño and cream cheese. The service was really good, waited less than 10 min for our meal. I will pop in again if I'm in the area, looks like a good spot to have drinks with friends.

Zomato has encouraged me to try new places and I'm often pleasantly surprised. My colleague Kim wanted a burger for lunch so we searched for somewhere different. Boston came up quickly (alphabetically) so we committed.

Located at #63 Buitengracht street Cape Town and open on a Monday (even though the web says differently) we ordered from a list of Boston named burgers like Da Matt, Uma, The Walburger, Jacky O and Da Bird. They also offer wings, ribs, salads & sides. We both had the JFK (cheddar, smokey bacon & pickles). It was a delicious patty, pergectly cooked with just that little bit of char that we all love. The bacon was crispy yet succulent. The generous cheese slice melted in ozzy laziness over the sides of the bun. The piece de resistance and what makes Boston truly unique; is the bun. No ordinary bun; its a delcately soft & flavoursome brioche which is liberally bushed with melted butter. I never eat the bun on a burger but this bun was spectacular. Burgers are accompanied by shoe string fries or salad. We had fries which were crispy & crunchy. We'll be back....

Went there for some birthday drinks during the week. They had only just got a liquer licence so no drinks menus but that didn't matter. The guys who ran the place were very hospitable and organised me a table for 15 in a flash, although I had booked so perhaps it should have been ready before we arrived but we didn't mind. They also organised us some snacks on the house which included grapes, bree cheese and biscuits with a little mayonaise to top it off. We also ordered some hot chips which were scrumptious and a few of my freinds really enjoyed the burgers and wings. I would go back again to try their food properly for myself. And would recomend it for after work drinks any day!

Great new bar in CT central. Modern fittings, trendy vibe and warm welcoming service.
We tried a burger (served on a delicious brioche bun!) served with crispy skinny fries and outstanding wings.
Perfect for a quick lunch during the week or chilling with some friends over some drinks.
We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stopped past for an early supper last Friday. Nice vibe with good attentive service. My wife had the Pork Ribs and I had the Uma burger. Best burger I have tasted for a long time and my Mrs devoured the ribs! Look forward to returning when there is live music on one weekend and tasting another of the burgers on the menu!GerryC

My girlfriend and I recently visited Boston as we drove by a couple of times on our way back from shopping at the waterfront. Myself being a burger enthusiast I always enjoy a new experience and obviously a delicious and simple hamburger. Unfortunately the food was massively over priced compared to to the current Kloof street and Bree street offering. The staff were overly in your face, specifically the 20 something guy who served us (might be the owner or son of the owner?) and the burger was just above average and added nothing special to the experience. It is very disappointing to see a new place that look vibrant and special and then receiving strange service, ridiculous prices and average food.

The burgers were delicious but the chips were average and so were the onion rings. I didn't really enjoy the wings as I found the basting to be a little too much on the sour side for my taste.

The service was excellent, our waiter was very attentive.

Although it is quite a small space the set up works and the decor is great.

I'd definitely go back to try the other items on the menu.

The food was really tasty. The oreo milkshake is one of rge best I've had in a very, very long time. They even give you Tic-Tacs with the bill. Would definitely go back.

Arguably one of the finest juiciest burgers I have ever had the pleasure of consuming! Wow! Service was a bit slow due to being very busy, Not a biggie though- food worth the wait.. Onion rings with ribs!

Despite the endless list of amazing restaurants in the CBD, I always get excited when a new spot opens. So when I saw Boston's bold sign and pretty lily flowers pop up on Buitengracht, I got excited to add another great spot to the CBD list. Unfortunately, our experience was pretty underwhelming and mediocre.

When we arrived, little attention was paid to us even walking inside. After sitting down and a couple of minutes passing by, I wondered if it was a self-service place... Eventually a waitress came to the table and helped us.

The menu is small, mostly focusing on burgers. Amongst 3 of us, we got their chicken wings in a buffalo chili basting, the Wahlburger and the JFK burger. The wings were pretty good and the basting was really tasty, the burgers however, were super average. The patties were dry, the toppings were flavourless, and the chips were soggy.

While the burgers were average, I wouldn't mind coming back for the wings and a beer with a couple of friends, or for a coffee in the window overlooking the busy city streets to do some laptop work. Let's hope they up their game a bit or they might get swallowed up by the many great places that surround them.
