Review Superette - Cape Town Central

Atang Biyela
I spent my entire day here doing some work. It's really spacious with great natural light. The staff was really kind and friendly. I had their All Day Breakfast Sandwich which was really yummy. My highlight though, was the banana bread😍 It was presented so beautifully and had a really buttery sauce that came with it. A special mention for their homemade chilli relish that comes with every meal! They will definitely see me again🙂

Visited here recently for breakfast with some friends. Service was very friendly and reasonably quick. Food was served in good time and was delicious. Loved the breakfast sandwich that I had and would definitely have it again. The space is very open and it feels very comfortable. Food was also very reasonably priced, would go again for sure.

Great discovery in the Woodstock exchange that bustles non-stop. Has plenty of seating for meeting, quick coffee or drink or some amazing food from brealfast/brunch type stuff, to bagels and the daily salad bar with or without various meat options. Lovely staff and great open space to work or have a catchup. Love this spot.

As we Ubered from our Airbnb we were a little skeptical about the place we were headed due to the neighborhood, but once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. It’s a quaint little place with great coffee and great breakfast. The place really picked up as we were sitting here and the staff was so pleasant and helpful. So glad we got to visit this spot!

Great place to get breakfast, lunch or dinner! The restaurant is great for getting some work done while getting something to eat or drink. They offer free wifi. The staff are very friendly!! If you go for breakfast then do yourself a favor and order one of their breakfast bagels!
Leanne “Lakshmi” Phillipson
Amazing little place, great food at surprisingly reasonable prices. definitely going back!

Great space... There's good WiFi to work and charging ports. The food is great

Great spot for a bagel and chocolate croissant. You can also stock up your Macro Mixes range by Sugarfree Sundays.

Loved it! The food and service was great and I was very impressed.
Paul Meeser
Trendy. Good food. Good service. Accepts Snapscan. No alcohol on the menu.
Eet Sum Thai Global
Very good food and very good service. One of the few great Woodstock treasures that don't compromise standards. Also in a very good part of Woodstock that's currently going through a lot of vibrant development. You gotta try their sour dough.
Aurore Gebert
Work friendly café, they have wifi and could see a few customers with their laptops
Yin “n” You
Friendly staff and great food. One advice would be to shop/stock better as last time we visited was the 3rd time in a row they had run out of beans for their "beans on toast". The coffee is great, the breads are very yummy and the whole place is inviting. A good internet connection is available, top.. What more do you need?! 😁🔝

Best breakfast in town!

A wonderful place to meet up with friends or grab a coffee while catching up on work. Great selection of freshly baked products. Within close proximity to the city, walking distance from the station. Situated in a trendy part of Woodstock. Service is friendly and helpful.

This is a great spot for breakfast especially if you’re a fan of eggs benedict😍<br/><br/>I ordered the Poached eggs with bacon. This dish was accompanied by a lovely hollandaise sauce with a refreshing flavorful salad. I recommend that you order your eggs medium which I personally think elevates the dishđŸ‘ŒđŸŸ

I went with my mum for lunch and we both ordered something off the breakfast menu. <br/>I ordered the mushrooms on toast and she ordered the beans on toast - both were extremely generous portions and so tasty! <br/>It was buzzing as it was during lunch time however we were served quickly and by friendly staff. <br/>They also sell interesting/quirky things on the table as you walk in. <br/>

Superette at Woodstock Exchange is a cool place to go with your family and friends for Breakfast and Lunch. They do great coffee and you should definately try the BROWNIE - the BEST you‘ll ever get! It‘s difficult to find a place with such nice staff and good service like superette! I will come back for sure :)
Mr Creosote
Not a cranberry in sight in the so-called cranberry granola. Not a good choice anyway. The granola is dry, verging on burnt, lacking in any interest or creativity. For a fantastic granola visit Cafe Frank. The fruit salad that accompanies it is similarly boring. Good coffee and good omelette. All in all an above average breakfast spot....
Gemma Scholtz
Fab coffee and salad style food. Value for money for sure and an asset to Woodstock lunch spots! Love the setting in the Woodstock exchange too. I will be back time and time again.

The menu and array of choices is quite refreshing. They have all day breakfasts. I opted for soft poached eggs and salmon instead of bacon. It came with some delicious salad style vegetables in a lemon dressing. It was a very fresh meal.
Chiara Crystal
Popped in for a quick breakfast, which was honestly SO delicious and we were super surprised at how big the portions were! On top of it, the rye bread was the best I’ve ever tasted. However, the service was a little lacking, which is unfortunate as it’s taken this review down. Although the food came very quickly, we had to ask twice for sweetener, by which time our coffees were cold, and twice again for the bill as we’d waited about 15 minutes. I’d say 3.5 is a better overall rating as the food and coffee were top notch đŸ‘đŸŒ would definitely come again, but would expect better service
Douglas Allanson
Funky spot in Woodstock Exchange, with excellent service. Had the savoury waffle with poached eggs and crispy bacon - it was delicious! Can’t wait to go back and try the other options on the menu. Great coffee too.
Nina Formanek
Love love love Superette. A place that's got yellow chairs has got to be great right? <br/>Breakfasts are yummm, coffee is gooooood and the vibe is wonderful.
Ayabulea Tutuse
Beautiful interior and serve-ware. Menu not too exciting, and of their best item is never available for serving because their waffle machine is broken or they only serve waffles on Saturdays.
Sarah Herrington
The lovely, open setting and quirky décor are a big plus for this restaurant. I found the cappuccino a bit bitter, and the eggs Benedict was tasty, but far from the best I've had, especially because the hollandaise sauce was very sparse. However, still an overall enjoyable restaurant experience.

My friend and I stopped by Superette after hearing incredible things at this Eatery and decided to go there for brunch. I liked the ambience, no nonsense and simple. The menu was pretty good with a variety of options. I ordered the BLT bagel and it was really good, bacon was crispy and they were liberal with their cream cheese. Only thing I can critique with my meal was that the bacon was super oily and it soaked my lettuce so much so that I ended up removing my lettuce entirely and using my serviettes to soak up the bacon oil. My friend ordered one of their omlettes which were really amazing. Service was slow which I attributed to a lack of staff, our poor waiter was only one of two and it was quite full on the morning we went. All in all a good experience, apart from my disappointing bagel

Super cute place to grab a quick cuppa and an almond croissant (SO yum) or the perfect place to catch up with some work (free wifi) whilst sipping on a good cup of coffee...and an almond croissant (in love)
Alexandra Krajewski
We arrived at peak lunch time, 12:30. I was actually surprised that they had space for us, given how much hype there is. We were given menus and a few minutes to decide. <br/>I'd originally decided on the shortrib sandwich and the red espresso cappuccino, only to be told that they didn't have bread (half of their menu is either a sandwich, or served with bread...), or red cappuccino. I then opted for the bratwurst sandwich, the same as my boyfriend. <br/>The waiter then came back a few minutes later to inform us that they only have enough bread to serve one of us that sandwich -- at lunchtime. I then changed my order again to the salad plate. It was brought to me very quickly, but without any cutlery, only to be taken back by the waiter with two bratwurst sandwiches in his hand saying that the kitchen "made a plan". We are our lunch on a wobbly table. I'll say that it was just alright. I think I would have preferred my original order, but I'll never know, as I don't have the intention to return to the overhyped eatery.<br/>I mean, I suppose this wasn't the waiters fault, but the staff could communicate better to avoid such confusions and disappointments.
Jenisha Govender
Lovely breakfast spot! Such a huge space full of people studying and having meetings yet not noisy at all. Our waitress was always around and super friendly! Food was divine. I loved the avo on toast with mushroom breakfast! My boyfriend had a sandwich which looked great. The sourdough bread was moist and full of flavour! Prices are very reasonable.

I work in Woodstock so I love coming to Superette to escape for lunch. <br/><br/>Their set up is incredibly pretty, with a lot of natural light, circular tables and quirky yellow and white colour scheme. The food here is super tasty, filling and affordable and they make a mean chai latte.<br/><br/>For lunch, if you're pressed for time, grab a salad plate- mix of whatever fresh veg salads are on offer + meat if you would like.<br/><br/>I go for the grilled cheese on toast if I am feeling in need of comfort food or the poached eggs on sourdough with goats cheese, greens and courgette ribbons. It is decadent! <br/><br/>Their burgers are wonderful as well if you feel the need for a big lunch. <br/><br/>Service is good and they have snapscan!

This morning I'm having a look at breakfast at Superette in the very quirky but super trendy Woodstock Exchange buildings. The Superette I think can best be described as "that place with the yellow chairs" - the are striking and form the pop of colour to the store. I ordered my regular flat white and Benedict and was surprised how big my meal was for under R100. Coffee isn't to my fancy, it's a bit bitter maybe it's just the blend but the beans did taste slightly burnt. The poached eggs on my Benedict were almost perfect and I actually enjoyed the mini salad of rocket and courgette with feta on the side. The bacon wasn't crispy but that's just the way I like it. Overall a really great place. <br/><br/>P.S more white subway tiles !! Whoever is manufacturing these is making a killing in Cape Town.

Just had a super breakfast at Superette. The menu is simple but with-it, and upon asking my waiter, Wandile, what I should eat, he didn't even hesitate to recommend the breakfast sandwich; boy oh boy, did he knock it out of the park. The place has a cosy atmosphere and seems to be a hit with the local professionals. If anything you should definitely stop by for their sensational all-day breakfast sandwich. Ask for Wandile, he's an absolute champ.

A client recommended we try the joint out for lunch. I ordered a salad that I built. I felt the options were limited, they could have a wider variety of vegetables. Other than that, my salad was tasty and the service was ok.
Charné
What a gem! I ordered an eggs Benedict and the portion size was huge! The flavours of the elements complimented each other well. I especially enjoyed the creamy eggs with the tang of a vinaigrette on the greens. I saw that they also have a salad option with helpings of the salads of the day which looked like a good healthy alternative. <br/>The restaurant itself looks really cute, I like the colourful decor and the big windows. The street outside isn't great and parking was a bit of a mission so leave extra time for that if you're visiting.

Located in the hipster, bohemian area of Woodstock is Superette. I noticed that a few of fellow Zomato foodies had been here before so I had high hopes. <br/><br/>Decor is very urban and clean with bright colors. Service is good, friendly, however needed to be bit attentive when requesting the bill and such. <br/><br/>Ok, the food. The better half opted for the French toast with was served with an assortment of fruit and bacon. Very nice. I opted for a second choice of eggs Benedict with was good, however I really wanted to try their waffles only to be disappointed to be informed that they didn't have any available.<br/><br/>Will I go back? Yeah I'd go back.

Love love love their mushrooms on toast. It's such a decent sized breakfast and as I'm trying to eat more plant based meals, this one is a treat. It comes with butter and cream cheese on the side and you can add avo (which I would highly recommend). I just love that something as simple as mushrooms on toast (pretty sure it's sourdough and it's delish) is so tasty and satisfying. Also their fresh juices come in little beakers and their decor which revolves around yellow, white and grey (with lots of plants) is a visual treat. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Woodstock.
Jessy Lipperts
Lovely quick breakfast before we headed to a kiddies party. Lots of tables available at 9am. Perfect. I just love Woodstock and dont visit enough. Staff was very friendly and there was enough space for my 4.5 yr old to dance.. mushrooms on toast and added avo. Good coffee too. Such a nice spot!
Epikoros
If it's a sandwich you want for lunch then Superette's pork belly certainly hits the spot. <br/><br/>During lunchtime it is extremely busy and service can be a bit overwhelmed. Certainly worth revisiting.
Kyle
What a nice play in woodstock to visit. We were disappointed because one item wasnt served on the day and when we ordered the beans brekkfast it wasnt ready either. But further it was nice and the food was good
Marcus Christiansen
Great to come here for a chilled Saturday morning breakfast. Absolutely love their breakfast options with fresh sourdough bread. Prices also aren't too expensive and you can combine breakfast with a tour of the Woodstock art galleries like we did.
Herman Agenbag
Been to Woodstock this week for work and I have walked by the Superette so many times and never had to time to go and have lunch there.<br/>So this week finally, I could take time off to sit down and enjoy a great coffee and lunch.<br/><br/>I can see why they are so popular. Very cool interior and friendly staff. With an awesome menu. It was late morning already so we opted for a sandwich. We ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich and the Pork Belly sanwich.. the idea was to share. Wow, blown away.. the Pork belly sandwich was served on a home made Ciabatta bread. Solid piece of Pork belly with onions, and a hint of mustard. Just enough not to overpower the pork. The Pulled BBQ pork sandwich was also good. Full of flavour. <br/>An awesome place for a casual or business lunch. I will be back and actually make time to pop in there
MattJBlack3
Had an excellent lunch here recently - bacon wrapped pork bangers and absolutely delicious mash infused with a sage & onion gravy - absolutely phenomenal! prices are a bit steep which is a pity as I'd eat here every day otherwise..
Robin Mahlangu
Very nice and open space with a really refreshing feel to it. I had the chicken and bacon sandwich which came highly recommended by the waiter which did not disappoint. Nice menu options to choose from and overall a very good experience.
Estelle Roux
Came here specifically for kippers on toast and was not disappointed at all! Was worried about the place feeling too trendy for me, but the Thursday morning crowd was exactly what I wanted it to be: young people working on laptops, old men reading the morning newspaper. The interior of the cafe is lovely to look at, the coffee was good, and service was friendly. I'm definitely coming back!
Danieljake
Definitely one of the trendiest breakfast spots in Cape Town. <br/><br/>The progressive interior design style and layout of this restaurant are conducive to a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for catching up on work while having a bite to eat.<br/><br/>I ordered the 'poached eggs' and it was fantastic. The hollandaise sauce was some of the best I've tasted. <br/><br/>The service was great, and it's the kind of restaurant where the staff leave you to do your own thing without constantly checking up on you and offering you things.<br/><br/>Highly recommend. <br/><br/>
Vuyo Renene
This wasn't my first time eating here, I think I just forgot to do a review. This place has good food for quick lunch dates or if you're grabbing a bite to eat whilst working in one of the offices upstairs. It doesn't fill up as much as I thought it would on Saturdays which is really lovely because the waiters are very friendly and attentive. If you're in the Woodstock area and you want to grab a bite, I suggest here.

This used to be my favourite restaurant. <br/><br/>I would come here once a month to soak up the wonderful ambiance and indulge in the decadent treats (student budget permitting) <br/><br/>HOWEVER, on my last visit (Sat 6 Aug) I encountered more than a few issues. <br/><br/>We got there midmorning and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We asked to be seated by the window against the wall at these couch-like seats. A waitress told us that those tables were specifically for groups of 4 or more. Although the restaurant was not busy at all, I accepted her response and we were seated at a 2 seater round table with a lovely floral arrangement. <br/><br/>As usual I ordered my fave - croissant stuffed with Nutella with mascarpone, almonds, berries and bacon on the side along with a red espresso tea and honey (tasted absolutely divine, as always, except for some of the bacon being burnt). I can't remember what my boyfriend had to eat <br/><br/>** While we were waiting for our food, we saw another waiter seat a couple of 2 people at the same table we asked for earlier. This made me very angry. What made them so special? The fact that they seemed well off and were white and we weren't? I wanted to see the manager and leave but my boyfriend calmed me down and said that we should just enjoy the meal... <br/><br/>He then ordered another homemade ice tea after our meal and it took AGES to come. Service was painfully slow even though the restaurant was not even busy<br/><br/>Please Superette, treat your customers fairly. Irrespective of their perceived wealth or race. <br/><br/>My money and my patronage should be valued just as much as other customers <br/><br/>I'll definitely think twice before coming back here. <br/>
Kyle Dunn
We popped in here to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Biscuit Mill and what a decision we made! <br/>Tucked in the Woodstock Exchange, Superette had a vibey feel to it. The aroma of coffee is something to get me going.<br/>I had poached eggs, avocado, courgette noodles, wild rocket with poppy seeds and bacon. It was a magical experience. The eggs are perfectly poached, to my liking. The freshness of the dish gets a major thumbs up!
Lukeconorbolton
Good experience. And very accommodating. Wanted a burger but it wasn't lunch yet and instead of just denying me they sorted everything out. Those small things go a long way. Food was tasty and good portions. Very chic and cool vibes however nothing wow about the food. Overall good experience.
Glenn Muller
Kick-ass coffee and delicious breakfast options together with super friendly waiters makes Superette the perfect choice to visit. Decor is funky and the place oozes energy. Woodstock is happening right now and there are loads of interesting shops around. Will definitely be visiting here more often.
Chloë
I was at Superette for a birthday party. The place was booked out for the evening. Food was delicious. It has a nice open area and friendly waiters. I would be keen to go back and try out their breakfast!
Duanne Aspeling
Visited Superette for the second time after a really good first experience and absolutely loved it! After searching Woodstock for bacon at 12 noon, Superette never disappointed with its BGTL bagel...I'm obsessed!
Fraser Hewson
We have had breakfast at Superette in the past and it was very good. But for lunch this week, we ordered a pulled pork sandwich and found that it was mostly bread. The taste was good, the bread was nice, but it was just missing the pork. Disappointing. I have not rated lower because of past experience.
Azele Anne Naicker
Superette is a great place to have a weekday lunch with friends. Their sandwiches and salads are always freshly prepared and they really allow the ingredients to shine for themselves. Service can sometimes be slow, especially when they are really busy. I love the way the restaurant is decorated, the pop of yellow really gives it a fresh feel.
Wanita Webbstock
Great spot in the Woodstock exchange. There is a massive hispter vibe with creatives going about their day. They have good deluxe coffee although the service can be a bit slow. Limited bakes and sweet treats so definitely not a tea time spot. They have a cool freshly pressed juice bar with lots of variety. Would like to go back and try their breakfast.
Mikaela
The fun decor and great food make Superette one of my favorite places to grab breakfast in Woodstock! I haven't yet tried something on their menu that I didn't like. The bread they use is incredible! A highlight for me is their drinks menu, which is just plain delicious!
Kazeka Talisa Angelica Mbekeni
Went for breakfast here with a few friends. The service was really good and and the food was delicious and filling. I had mushroom on toasted sourdough and added avocado and bacon. Best life choice! Definitely recommend this place as your next breakfast spot. I'll definitely be going back soon!
Nicol Miller
We loved this spot! Freshly squeezed juices served in chemistry beakers, and the yummiest poached eggs you'll ever have! It's an awesome breakfast stop, and a definite return.
Kgoni Mogale
I'm not a breakfast person because I don't eat eggs however I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. I had the mushrooms on toast and added bacon and avo. I drank the hibiscus herbal tea, which I think should be served with a strainer because the little bits aren't attractive and get in the way. My friend had poached eggs with zucchini noodles and he loved his meal.<br/><br/>Our waitress was friendly and efficient, I enjoyed my time here and will definitely be visiting this spot again.
Rene August
I loved the food & ☕ but the service was terrible. I wanted a waffle but the waffle machine was broken then the juice machine was broken, but the the flat white was an americano, the the card machine was broken and the time between each of these.. Just made the morning a drag.
Tiyaarah Cloete
It's a really cute place in Woodstock exchange. I love the vibe. I found the food mediocre at best, but it's a lovely place so I'd suggest it.
Lauren Kim
Popped in to grab a take away coffee. Love the light and open space - friendly staff. The coffee was strong. Also tasted the hot cross bun latte - smelt amazing when they were making it - I would have liked it a bit stronger but my husband loved it as he said it wasn't over powering. Would like to come back and eat - next time
Anja Immelman
Arguably the best breakfast I might have had. Straight up clean and good food. Love the space and feel of the place too. And as a tea drinker, I appreciate the big tea pot.
Nazneen Ahmed
I popped by Superette for a colleagues farewell breakfast. The vegetarian breakfast option that I ordered was ok. However, the bread was almost inedible because it was so hard. Not to mention how over-priced their 'extra' avo is. Everyone else's options looked great but a few of my colleagues complained about their eggs not being the way they ordered it. <br/><br/>Not my favourite spot.
Juztick
A bit hot in summer, but lovely friendly staff. We were a big group and they made a plan to get us all seated. Real potato chips with the burger and killer homemade juices.

Quality: 4<br/>Consistency: 4<br/>Food: 4<br/>Atmosphere: 4<br/>Cleanliness: 4<br/>Service: 4<br/>Location: 4<br/>Value: 4<br/>Will I return? Yes!<br/>Comments:<br/>Great breakfast spot! Fresh ingredients and non-oily meals. This spot has a lovely calm setting for an indoor restaurant. I always make an effort to visit Superette when I visit CPT. The service is good. Be tempted to take home a loaf of bread, the best in SA which is baked by the amazing Woodstock Bakery in wood fired ovens!
Scott Barrett
I took my mom their when she came to visit from overseas there breakfasts are beyond amazing, even their portion size is great and their fresh juices. Nothing better and definitely a must especially if you want a good start to your morning
Leandra Lilly Dreyer
Suprette is a great little spot in Woodstock. We had great service, good food, good drinks, great atmosphere. I love the woodstock exchange which makes it a great place for a good shop and a bite to eat. The restaurant has large windows which allows for lots of natural light with special touches like the flowers on each table and the messages on the plates.
Mayola Van Dyk
Arrived at 8:00, fearing crowds, and was greeted by a friendly and quiet Superette. Fabulous service, wonderful food, good value - we'll be back soon. 5 stars :)
Claire Shaban
Best sandwiches in town. So glad it's near my office. I love walking down to the exchange for this treat. My personal favourite is the bacon and chicken pesto on sourdough.
Mbali Msimang
So i just had the most hearty sandwich (beef short rib) and that was a good time<br/><br/>Pretty busy during the lunch rush but it's really well spaced out so it never really "feels" packed which is great. Also enjoyed how much room-to-eat their plates give and all the sunlight that pours into the cafe.<br/><br/>See you guys again soon :)
Nicole Eats
Nice space and the food was good. The service was bad though. The waiter seemed painfully disinterested which ends up ruining the experience a little.
Anne Chappel
We were in a hurry, lunch time and a plane to catch.... The staff were super quick and helpful. We both had a bratwurst roll. It was very tasty. The rye roll was soft and warm and served with pickled onions, gherkins, mustard , tomatoes and some rocket. I did not have time to take photos but I assure you it was generous and we ate with relish. <br/>
Amy Heydenrych
Amazing space, incredible food and special service. I stopped here for lunch on a trip to Cape Town. Unlike many Cape Town spots, Superette has the luxury of a big space, which is refreshing. The attention to detail with the food is great. I had an epic toasted cheese sandwich and my sister had a delicious salad platter. The bread is all sourced from Woodstock Bakery, which has some of the best sourdough I've ever tasted. <br/><br/>However, the defining turning point of my love for Superette was that, after leaving my laptop there, they kept it safe for me and responded to my hysterical messages to their Facebook page when I realised (on the plane back to Joburg) that it was gone!
Gabrielle Meyers
What a great little spot in Woodstock. You absolutely must come here if you're in the area and feel like a good lunch. I had the beef and mozzarella sandwich and my friend had the burger. Very good!!
Kelly Rae Gifford
There is a certain vibe in the woodstock exchange that I absolutely love (if you havent visited - you must) and the vibe begins in superette - the staff have such bubbly personalities that are refreshing with you visit for a break from the office. I have had the burgers there a couple times and it is super tasty! Great spot for lunch of coffee
Gillian
Great place to stop for a quick bite. Good flavours and healthy salad choices, but don't try get any food in the hour before they close - the staff get quite snippy about serving you while they close up. Not a place to linger
Caroline Mears
Had coffee and breakfast here with a friend. Absolutely love the setting and vibe of this place, breakfast was delicious and my iced coffee made my day! Definitely worth checking out when in Cape Town.
Klara Aizupitis
Cute spot in the painfully-hip Woodstock Exchange. Great pastries, granola, and veggie sandwiches. This is a great breakfast and brunch spot, and it's especially good for being productive and getting work done
Leah Feiger
Good food, lovely atmosphere, and pretty good service. I like to come here for hours and get work done. Their wifi isn't great, but it works. I love their cheese toastie and their banana bread is actually incredible. I go a lot, and will definitely continue to do so. <br/><br/>The pros: The space is really beautiful, and well located at the Woodstock Exchange. Very conducive to making good work happen. Friendly waitstaff and good food. Not too expensive. <br/><br/>The cons: It closes so early and isn't open on Sundays!
Zani
Went here for lunch with my mom. Many vegetarian options, not too many vegan options though menu items easy to modify. My mushroom toast with cream cheese was delicious, filling. The service was quite poor, very uncoordinated, despite many serving staff. The food, though very simple, took over 30minutes, even though the restaurant was quiet. Not sure I would go out of my way to go again, especially given the competition in Woodstock/Salt River for good fresh food.
Bebz H
The bangers and mash is SO yummy. Like, literally the best bangers and mash Iv had in Cape Town so far. Would definitely recommend you go there and try it!
Tabassum Smiley Aleem
As a student in the informatic and design faculty the superette feels like home. The trendy place never disappoints with food, service and seriously amazing coffee. Dont get me started on the freshly juices. My friend ordered a veg omelette which was really good and i opted for homemade cranberry granola which was quite expesive for just breakfast but really well worth it. Seriously love this place.
Toomuchloveliness
I love Superette so much! This visit was for lunch with the girls where we had super delicious sandwiches!<br/><br/>However my favourite time to visit Superette is for breakfast! I always order their brioche french toast - which is unbelievably delicious!<br/><br/>Service is a little slow and parking is always a nightmare but its worth a visit for the great food and gorgeous venue! Every time I visit superette I get some home decor inspiration from their bright yello stools, handing plants, golden pigs and designer plates!
Heneedsfood
It’s all about subways tiles, glass beakers, blonde wood and pops of yellow.<br/><br/>Both the breakfast and lunch menus sound great, with things like braised short rib or pork belly sandwiches and kippers on toast. All sounds good to me, but we only did the coffee thing. Nice touch that you can choose between two roasters – Deluxe Coffee Works and Rosetta.
Chloe Igo
I really like Superette. The staff are always friendly and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I had the mushrooms on toast with rocket and cream cheese, and it was great. They have interesting breakfast options if you're looking for an alternative to bacon and eggs. Like the beans on toast with fried haloumi and poached eggs. They serve Deluxe coffee, and the Woodstock Exchange is generally fun for people watching.
Cariane
One of my favourite breakfast spots! The savory waffle is like something out of heaven. Service can be a little slow at times but definitely worth the wait.
FaconandBreggs
As a morning spot, I'm not feeling it. <br/>Atmosphere: 8:20-I call it "Early but Empty"<br/>The dish I ordered was Nutella Stuffed French Toast. It was presented well with 3 different items, French toast with Nutella filling, wimpy bacon and fruit(green apples and gooseberries).<br/>Taste: The French Toast was delicious with the bacon, where the fruit didn't seem like a good companion. The dish was smaller than the huge plate, so the food(fruit) was spread out as much as it could.<br/>Coffee: Deluxe, super hot coffee, take it easy on the milk temperature.
Cassan Ferguson
Haven't been to Superette in ages , and I was quite excited to go this am for a friends birthday brunch ! <br/><br/>The brunch menu is my absolute fav! I had the poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce and it was so scrumptious and filling ! <br/><br/>The decor is just lovely and there is a great atmosphere amongst the customers and the staff! <br/><br/>Great for Saturday catch ups with friends !
Folschere93
Really awesome. @Tayla the food was great and the atmosphere is welcoming to all parties. Caters for all ages too. Will definitely come back
Britney Beeby
Superette is brilliant - such a fun, cool, hipster-ish hang out in Woodstock.<br/><br/>Since it's become part of the Woodstock exchange, it's gotten even better.<br/><br/>Best options on the menu are definitely the All day breakfast sandwich and the spicy BBQ pork sandwich. Both are big enough that you'll probably take some home with you.
Jenny Sarah Coulson
I love Superette's food, juices, decor, everything. The only reason I wouldn't give them a 5 is because the service is usually pretty slow (understandable, it's a popular spot). I've had the breakfast before and really enjoyed it, but yesterday I was blown away by the pulled pork on ciabatta. It was spicier than I expected, but I LOVED that. At R65 it's quite pricey for a quick lunch, so this is not somewhere I'd eat everyday. (If I could, though, I would...)
Nick BG
I've had many pleasant meals at Superette, both in its previous location and now, at the entrance to the Woodstock Exchange. Stylishly decorated with hanging plants and tile and wood panels, the menu offers a range of tasty meals. Warning : they're no longer open for Saturday morning breakfasts, best to visit for a midweek lunch experience.

This is one of the most under-rated places in Cape Town in my opinion! I love their breakfasts and Superette Saturdays are a real thing. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, juice - whatever you're in the mood for, stop by this amazing place. There is no way it can disappoint you.

Far more, canteen / eatery, then a restaurant. But walking in, the space is clean and minimalistic. For what it is intended, it works perfectly. <br/><br/>The staff seem a little detached but that seems to be the norm for a lot of the small trendy spaces in Cape Town, don't get me wrong, not unfriendly... Just almost seem like they were very busy with something else, just before you walked in. With that said though, it's my only criticism. <br/><br/>The food standard is as high as any place I've tried. Presentation is in keeping with the general decor, making it simple. The coffee was good and everything ran very efficiently. <br/><br/>I think it's a great place for bite.

The interior and decor is absolutely stunning. It is trendy and very unique. The atmosphere is very social, busy and chatty. The plates have the most original quotes on them, which gives this restaurant another edge. As for the food, I had soft boiled eggs and soldiers. The presentation of my food was beautiful, and the food was delicious. The second egg was more hard boiled than soft, but delicious all the same. I ordered the hot cross bun latte, but unfortunately received a red latte instead, so I can't comment on what the very unique hot cross bun latte is like. The sandwich section of the menu looks AMAZING. I definitely plan on going back to try the pork belly sandwich. As for the rest of the menu, there are few options. Aside from a few blunders here and there, I would definitely suggest this restaurant, especially for brunch, just for the experience, if nothing else.
