Thank you very much NY Slice Pizza 🍕 - this is loose-hands the BEST PIZZA 🍕 in Town!! We had tried different pizzas- my son's favorite was the 'New Yorker', the 'Manhattan' was also lekker, there was a 'Bronx' & whole selection of different pizzas. We really enjoyed it, the prices are very reasonable & the staff friendly. My son will make sure that we will visit again soon!! 🍕😊

Best Pizza on the whole of Kloof - indeedly dee. Talent and the rest of the staff are always welcoming cheery and deal with BIG volumes of pizza slices well. Prices have recently gone up though so it's less affordable, but that'd more a sign of the stormy times. Would prefer of they kept the Italian herb and pepper grinder rather than the powdered stuff. And labeled the type of oil used in the garlic en chjilly, ne! Also keep the brilliant share-the-Love initiative going, where you can buy someone a donation slice for R15.!✨🙌🍕

Ordered ubereats from this branch twice. Great New York style pizza. However, they forgot my crushed garlic and chilli relish :( R60...

Honestly freaking love this place. Two things are guaranteed: - massive, delicious pizza slices - banger after banger on the sound system Always a good time and always packs a surprise. Last I was there a dude spun the lucky wheel and won shots which he shared around as he high fived every other patron. The time before I watched someone get arrested across the street.

last night my friend and l decided to try out NY Slice pizza in seapoint, took the special they had, thinking it was going to taste amazing as it was my first time buying NY slice pizza in seapoint, but l was disappointed by burnt, hard pizza. Out of the 6 slices l bought... it was terrible. lf l knew l was going to receive burnt pizza l would have gone some where else.

The pizza was delicious - everything I expect from NY Slice, the best pizza in Cape Town. I don't know if it's the dough or the sauce or the only real pepperoni in the Cape, but it is so darned good. The staff was pleasant and helpful - and free delivery in Claremont! I sense a lot of pizza in my future.

Ny slice do not hounour their monday special of buy one get another slice for free. Charged for two slices and told to get lost when asking for the aditional two slices advertised free, they also tried to charge for me the most expensive slice when i ordered the basic veg option . i also found the staff and the shop , food prep area to be dirty #fraud #falseadvertising #con #dirt =jerms

Little bit bummed...ordered a pizza at 20:50..no order arrived. Phoned in at 21:50. Was told that it was going to take 45 minutes, claimed that they tried to call, but I have no missed call. Really not cool

Don’t get me wrong, your pizza is the business � but I do have one problem. I ordered a pizza delivery at 8:00 - it’s now 10:00. Still no pizza. I called after 45 mins and was told the guy had just left 7 mins ago with my food. I live at the top of long street .. literally a 5 minuet walk from NY slice. I then called again after waiting another 30 mins only to have the guy put the phone down on me twice when asking where my order is. I would rather have you guys just say “fuck off, no pizza for your lazy ass tonight” than have me sitting here like a hungry fool for 2 hours. Would have made another plan no problem.

Was there yesterday for the first time and man was it good. Great staff, great pizza and awesome slice portions!!!! See you guys soon.

I was walking along Kloof and tempted to try this pizza. I opted for a standard margarita, this is my baseline when reviewing pizza. The pizza held together fairly poorly. The pizza sauce was a bit too acidic and the pizza slightly too dry (been under the heat lamp too long?). Maybe recommended as a late night snack when you need a quick bite?

I ordered ahead of time over the phone but by the time I arrived to collect, they messed up my order and I had to wait anyway. They did make it up to me by adding extra pepperoni and cheese though which was nice. Apart from the service and the awkward location (it's difficult to find a parking in Claremont Main Road) the guys behind the counter are talkative and friendly. The pepperoni pizza itself was huge and loaded with flavour. They also got the crispy base spot on! I really dig the New York vibe and I can vouch that it tastes basically exactly the same as the real deal!

As much as I love the pizza and order religiously, the staff made me extremely uncomfortable tonight. I was with my female friend and we were discussing a film. I jokingly asked if there was any free pizza, which was a big mistake. If you're women alone in a small space trying to be jovial on a Monday night the response should never ever be as personal as "hey where is the guy I see you come in here with... Do you guys share money, does he pay for your stuff... Are you guys friends or.."<br/>This is extremely provoking, creepy and unnecessary. There was no invitation to ask such things because we're black women in a space. It's hurtful because friendlyness should be part of professionalism and not an opportunity to be very problematic. And after clearly being upset the audacity to still ask for my name.... Like our discomfort didn't matter.<br/><br/>This is a harassing experience, hopefully your staff learn how to behave mildly, and I will never be as friendly ever again.

We decides to give it a go. Had mushroom vegetarian slices on 2 separate nights and both times pizza was delicious. Definately place to go to. Very good value and convenient for take away. Hard rock blasting - keep up the good work.

I frequent this little spot often to grab a quick bite when with friends. They're pizza selection is not wide but it's good quality pizza at an affordable price. This outlet offers an interesting experience, hopefully one that mimics that if new York culture. Highly recommend.

Friendly environment with a nice vibe from the good music. Everyone behind the counter were so quick to help us and the lady ringing up our order was lots of fun. We had the Manhattan pizza and the mushroom pizza, both really delicious.

One of the best pizzas I’ve had in SA, not only inspired by NY pies, but pretty GD close to nailing the flavors as well. Nice solid bases NY cuts (size : yes does matter) and they are licensed so can get a cold one while enjoying your pizza. Also opened late unlike most places in CT

Tasty oversized American style pizza done the NY slice way. The pepperoni slice was good but lacked uhm pepperoni? Also the only flavor I’ve tried, the others don’t look appetizing at all.<br/><br/>R28 for a huge slice of pizza isn’t bad. Really tiny spot more of a takeaway than a sit down place.

I've been in the restaurant business since I was a kid, and NY Pizza Slice is a great pizza. Decent crust, good tomato base, and when you get a slice hot out of the oven, absolutely delicious. It is a true pizza, not some mish-mash slapped together. I was so impressed I went back several times, and was never disappointed. Wake up, people, this is a great pizza!

Generous portions for the price you pay. The doughiness of the pizza was perfect! The toppings were good. However the limited seating does hamper the NY Slice experience as my friends and I were very cramped. The service was super fast! Highly recommend trying their pizza if you want a quick bite!

I just had a pepperoni slice and my tongue has never been so irritated, it is sooooooooo salty . Ive never quite liked their pizza, Ive had it about 4 times and my feelings towards it vs. the hype? I thought I was getting something wrong . Who wouldn't love a GIANT slice of pizza? NY Slice definitely has a great concept going for them, but I have found the actual taste of their pizza a bit disappointing having tried 3 out of the 4 flavours they have on offer. They have a cool little store on Kloof street but it is quite small and gets a bit crowded at times especially when trying to place an order. It has very minimal seating as it is more of a takeaway place. The interior design of the inside is probably my favourite part of the whole experience. They have an exciting "spin-the-wheel" on the inside where one could win a free slice of pizza or have to end up buying another slice(or two) or a beer. Chilled reggae in the background and cool New York styled decor make it a cool place to hangout but given that it is on a main road, one is often approached and asked by people for food and money which can become quite uncomfortable at times.Overall though, it's an okay place with a great concept, would recommend it based purely on the size of the slices.

So the first time I was here I left immediately due to the number of flies around the pizzas. The only reason I went back is because we were too tired after the carnival to wait long and this was the quickest, most convenient. The pizzas are nothing to run home about, the ingredients are sparce and it's kept to the bare minimum. The only plus is the slice is so huge. The service absolutely sucks here. No interest no greeting, more of a look of 'what do you want?'. My gut feel not to eat here the first time was right.

New York slice is a perfect stop for pizza on the go. Their gigantic pizza's are definitely a sight to behold. The Garden's branch is very small with barely any seating. The shop is simple and decor is nonexistent, although this is part of the charm. Their menu is limited but all the pizza's look delicious. We had a slice of the pepperoni pizza. The slice of pizza was as fresh as it gets, the base was well cooked and the toppings were generous. The slice of pizza was overflowing over the sides of the paper plate. We will definitely return for another slice!

NY Slice is such a convenient spot for pizza on the go. It's quick, unless you have to wait a bit for a new pizza to come out of the oven. The pizza can be bought by the slice or you can order the whole thing, which is quite massive. It's tasty but can be a little too doughy if that's not your preference. For me the best part is that they close a little later than other restaurants on Kloof so you can always grab a slice if you are feeling peckish later on in the evening.

I recently tried NY pizza slice and it was hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had! We ordered the entire salami pizza for around R200 - but it was huge! And worth every penny. One pizza feeds 4 small females easily - we each had 2 slices which felt like a whole pizza each. <br/><br/>Their store is open until late in the evening but also does delivery. Glad I live down the road because I will definitely be ordering more often!

Absolutely love this spot for some early evening/late night mid-beers pizza! Excellent vibe from the guys behind the counter and at the oven, seriously quick service and delicious pizza! It's very difficult to pick a winner between the Pepperoni and the Buffalo Chicken so I usually get them both!

A bit puzzled over here. I've wanted to try My Slice Pizza as my dream is to visit My one day but upon stepping into the food place, it was quite disgusting. None of the pizza slices we're appealing at all. The shop alone wasn't appealing. Everything just looked unappetizing.

Early Sunday Morning on route to the waterfront we decided to take a drive up Long and Try this out . All i can say is wow . The owner is hands on and this pizza is really good and offered a complementary Mojito well we waited which was also really good which he claimed was left overs from the party the night before , hey im not complaining lol  . definitely wont wait long before i am back here

my girlfriend and i really love this place,. I think we are both grateful that it's so far from home or we would be really fat. all the pizzas are great though the soho is unanimously the best pizza they offer. you can always tell great pizza by how enjoyable the margherita is and at NY slice it is amazing. their open until 2am on weekends which makes it the perfect end to your nights out on the scene, drinks are a bit pricey but they are otherwise very reasonably priced.

Went here for a change after a night out instead of McDonalds and it was definitely worth it. Great tasting pizza at a fairly decent price. It's also one of the only pizza restaurants I can think of that stays open until very late.

We got take away slices from here and it was good - I enjoyed it more than husband. We had one slice of each of their flavours, except the pepperoni as they were out of stock on it. It was slightly bland, but a bit of salt would have fixed that. The crust was nice, but could have been a bit crispier.

The name says it all, grab a slice of pizza, maby even a beer, sit at the the little window and people watch. I wouldn't take a girl on a date here but it's a nice pre game spot. Plus pizzas are great value and tasty. Beer is cheap.

This quaint pizzeria takes you straight into underground New York when you step through the door. The pizzas, which can be purchased in slices or a whole pizza are served in very large portions, definitely worth the money. The customer service was good, nothing outstanding but nothing to complain about. Would definitely recommend it for a quick bite.

NY Slice is so good it might become problematic for me. Brilliant for a quick bite on the go before drinks. Delicious. And ordering a massive full pizza is great for when you have friends over.

The ambience wasn't too bad and the staff was energetic <br/>Their slices are enormous but as far as taste goes, I wasn't really blown away, rather average and a little.

Really great pizza, but the delivery system sucks. I live in Woodstock, less than 6kms from the store, but they won't deliver. They will however deliver to camps bay and sea point?! Worth it if you're walking past. But by no means convenient.

I have been wanting to try NY Slice for some time now, and today myself along with two girls from work walked here during our lunch break. <br/>The restaurant is teeny but offers a welcoming, super casual atmosphere. <br/>There are giant pizzas available ranging from R24-R28 per slice. Coffees as well as alcoholic beverages are also on the menu. <br/>I opted for a slice of the 'Manhattan' which is a basic margerita with fresh tomatoes and basil. The slice is then heated up in the wood fired oven and served within what feels like seconds! <br/>The pizza base was quite doughy and the toppings were inconsistent. However, one slice is very filling as its large! <br/>For a quick bite, a relaxed vibe and if you don't mind a bit of claustrophobia then this your place 😊 not bad overall but the pizza slightly disappointed me

I have ordered for delivery or bought late night pizza from these guys for a long time, I've loved their pizza but I will no longer step foot or order from them ever again.<br/>Just walked in and they were busy closing, wanted an entire pizza pie, but I understood that they're closing. We then bought all the remaining slices without the usual toppings for the Manhattan at full price. Next minute another couple walks in and the owner tells them that they can have pizza if they order a entire one. I was like, so my money isn't good enough and we walked in like 10min before them. <br/>The owner then puts the blame on us for them not getting pizza and also refuses to admit his wrong that he didn't tell us we can't have a pie. <br/>His employee then admits that his wrong and he still doesn't want to admit it. I'm sorry, but it was definitely race driven. His black employee new his boss was wrong and the white couple seems to get the privilege of ordering a pizza pie even though their closed.<br/>Definitely won't go there ever again. <br/>

I normally absolutely love NY slice but i just had the worst experience where i walked in to buy a pie...he tells us that theyre closing so he cant make the pie so we take all the pieces left even though theyre missing toppings and we got charged the same pricr. Next couple gets in he offers them a pie. Absolute terrible business....also dont mean to play the race card but the fact was that the couple that walked in after us was white. We stopped by after Thirsty Thursday. It was still packed at 00:30! I love the idea of the big slices and that they heat it up quickly. The hyped around it made us believe that the pizza will be the best in town. Don't get me wrong, the pizza was good, but we had higher expectations.

While waiting 1 hour for a freshly made "pie" as it is called (50cm pizza), my friend I were looking around the place and noticed a leaderboard for the 5 quickest times to eat this pizza, which if you work it out, is actually 2.7 times the size of a normal large pizza (30cm). I will definetely be coming back to try my hand at this mighty feat. We had half chicken peppadew and half mince onion and parsley, I highly recommend you try the combo as the flavours really compliment. The pizza is a bit doughy though and I highly recommend not having the plain.

I could have NY slice at any time of the day/eve. Once we had it for breakfast, I mean it's not the healthiest choice buts it's so delicious! I am generally a slow eater but I definitely waste no time on these pizza slices even with its large size. Not quite but pretty close to authentic NY style pizza. We ordered take-out on Saturday evening, which arrived 35min later nice and warm - always a risk when ordering takeout pizza. We had a mixed Manhattan and Staten Island. Tasty and filling - at 50cm this is a huge pizza (very American) and good value for money. A great idea when having the family for weekend/weeknight pizza or the boys around for weekend football/rugby.

Great takeaway NY style pizza. I had a slice of the pepperoni pizza which was great and apparently the best. The bases are thick and there is loads of tomato. The slices are also super big.

A small venue, this really is more of a take-away spot, but the puzza is large, well-priced and tasty. Even my fussy husband aporoves. Great for a quick snack when you're in town. The staff have also always been friendly and happy to chat.

It's a very small spot so you can't really sit down and relax. More of a grab and go place. I have enjoyed the pizza I have eaten there on a few different occasions. I also shot an advert nearby and the production team ordered like 20 pizzas. They went down so well after a long day of shooting. Apart from the size though, the pizza doesn't blow my mind. I have had much better pizza at other spots around Cape Town. I get that it is straight up NY pizza, but from what I saw on the display, options are limited. I will go back though and give it another go soon, as it is very convenient. Don't take my word for it, pop in and give it a try.

The picture says it all!! We ordered some pizzas among friends to watch the rugby! It was simply delicious! Decently sized so that four large pizzas left us with left overs as well! The base of the pizza is not too thick- cheese- a lot of it! And the pizza is very flavorful! The service was quick and friendly! Deandra Catry

Quick and easy, with the only pepperoni in town that makes me think of the US. NY Slice Pizza is just that - a taste out of NYC. And the price is more than fair.<br/>If that's what you're looking for, then this is your place - distinct from the style you'll get most places in South Africa.

Been here a few times already, this little place on kloof is just great. The one large slice serving of pizza is a twist on your usual pizza night outs. The pizza has a thin but crispy crust topped with a generous amount of cheese - authentic NY. They generally only serve about three different pizzas at any time. They offer a range of craft beers to accompany your pizza. Service is always friendly and served with a smile.

Delicious and affordable, this is the perfect place to grab some food on the run! The slices are ENORMOUS. Like 30cm long. It's not really a sit down place, but if you and a mate have time for a quick beer and a slice I would recommend.

Delicious NYC style pizza perfect stop off on the way home from long street on a Friday night! Thoroughly enjoyed the laid back vibe, friendly staff and patrons and large slices! Gulped them down so quickly didn't have time for a photo! Will definitely be back for a large pizza some time soon 👌🏽

Such a fabulous little spot for fantastic pizza everytime. The pizza is full of flavour and never disappoints. If you're in town go pop in and give yourself a treat, you won't regret it.

Fantastic little spot for a big old slice of traditional New York pizza. I had Pepperoni and it was delicious. Definitely different to Italian style pizza. My husband who has had the real deal in New York says it's totally up there with NY pizza. Eat at a bar stool or on the run. What a treat!

Having experienced pizza in New York, I can honestly say that this place has got it spot on! The taste, texture and temperature are so good, you'll think you're in the big apple! Pepperoni equals love..

Best late night crispy pizza slice in Cape Town on the corner of Kloof street! It is Quick, cheap and absolutely delicious!!! The best bases with such awesome toppings! We were all very impressed! 😁

I love this pizza!!! Quick. Tasty. Delicious. I do think they should give you the option of adding garlic and/or extra cheese to your pizza... But otherwise it's still awesome. Pepperoni pizza is always my first choice!

Firstly, let's talk about the size of ONE slice... HUGE. The taste is good but not amazing. Very small shop. Only 3 different types of pizza to choose from. It's definitely an experience but not a pizza place I would constantly go to to get my 'fix'.

My expectations were not met but perhaps I was expecting too much. My slice was bland and burnt' I had the pepperoni. It's only nice because it is cheap.

Absolutely loved NY Slice Pizza! I've been meaning to pop by for ages and it just kept slipping my mind, but I finally got my butt there (thanks, Eskom) and I'm in love with their pizza. <br/><br/>One of the things I really appreciate about this spot is not having to order an entire pizza. When I do go out and get pizza, I generally end up eating the entire thing when honestly I only really needed half... Fatty! So the fact that I can grab 2 (huge) slices for the price of half of what other restaurants charge is amazing! <br/><br/>The variety of pizza is pretty limited and the toppings are nothing magical, but despite their simplicity, they do taste incredible! I grabbed a slice of the Soho and the Pepperoni, and I was not disappointed at all. <br/><br/>They have a cool little wheel of fortune that you pay R5 to spin, and if you're lucky you can get a bunch of things for free. Buuuut if you're unlucky, you may end up paying for more things than you bargained for. I was too scared to do it on my first visit, but I'll definitely try it out next time. <br/><br/>The service is great, the guys are friendly, and the restaurant is more of a grab and go. You can grab a stool though and watch the buzz on Kloof Street which is pretty rad. <br/><br/>Overall, a fun spot with good pizza, a chilled vibe at affordable prices. It brought back some fond memories of my trip to NYC and living off of $1 pizza because... poor traveler ;) Definitely worth a visit! <br/><br/>

Had the pepperoni slice. Not bad, but pretty average overall. Cute setup, veeeery cozy. Wouldn't really pop in unless I happened to be hungry and in the area.

We stopped in at NY Slice on a whim yesterday after seeing a sign for R14.50 local beers (it was Sunday Funday, after all). We decided to grab a quick pizza as well, and both got the Manhattan, which is essentially a margarita pizza. The slices are huge! The pizza was good, but could have been spiced up a bit more. Next time we want to try to pepperoni, which looks very good.

Love this style! Not so much a restaurant as a 'hole in the wall from which you can get food'. Like a fancy food cart. With delicious pizza. Ok I'm overselling it.<br/><br/>NY Slice is a small establishment with a big heart for pizza. Order a full pizza (or just a slice) of American-style pizza, which you can take home or enjoy at the counter while watching passer-bys on Kloof Street (who will undoubtedly be staring at you, green with jealousy). <br/><br/>Open all sorts of hours in the night, which makes the perfect late night snack available when you need it. Just saying.

My kid's favourite pizza spot - I think it the size of the pizzas that blow them away. Menu limited, but pizza made and cooked with love and they do incredible things out of what is essentially a hole in the wall. It feels sincere, which makes a change from Col' Cacchio  bollocks...
