I don't understand. This place bakes the most amazing cheese cake for Bootleggers, but the one they serve their own customers is this mingy little excuse of a cheesecake. In my books, that demotes them from THE coffee shop in Cape Town to just another coffee shop. Good, but not worth making a detour for. 😕
One of my favourite just out the CBD coffee ☕️ shops. The service has been a challenge on the past two visits, but don't let that put you off. I'll be back soon.

First time today at Ou Meul and was so impressed. Beautiful and cosy place, with delicious food and great service. I'll definitely recommend this place as the best place to brunch.
A really good spot to have breakfast, enjoy the park nearby with your kids after. Good bakery, nice goodies and products too at the shop.

Very lovely place to have a meal. The food and drinks are great! Employees are very nice and helpful. You can sit outside (with or without heaters) and inside as well.

Perfect location. Consistently friendly atmosphere. Kayla is always so welcoming & most recently our Server Elton who was awesome. The Vegan pies are amazing & of course the Beer & Happy Hour make this a 5 Star choice. Always leave there feeling wonderful.
Amazing late breakfast experience! Roddy's service was the best I've had in ages, he made us smile immediately. The food took 15mins to arrive, much faster than expected for a small spot with a huge amount of people trying to eat there. Coffee and food was delicious. Plan to be a regular in the future.
