Review Food Inn - Cape Town Central

Moin Sayyed
Good aura and a good taste of authentic food there, yes, if going with the family, then a good thing to have is to go for it and enjoy it as self servicing and atmosphere is best. Food quality and quantity is good, true Maharashtra flavors are noticeable The ambience needs slight improvement and the rest is amazing. Prices are good and not too high.. Thank you for your good service and keep up the good work 👍

Some of the best curry dishes i have had in Cape Town. Service is always fast and the food is of high quality. Prices is very good for large portions. I would recommend this for great family eat outs with a variety of dishes to choose from. Comfortable seats and proper tables with great local food for a great time always guaranteed. Affordable menu with a wide variety of choices, but the taste didn't quite live up to expectations. For a satisfying experience, I recommend opting for simpler dishes rather than the oily fried rice or non-local items. Overall, an average dining option that could use some improvements!

Saw a reel on Insta and Facebook about their roti Gatsby, and we had to try it... It lives up to the hype, we also ordered spicy lamb curry, chicken breyani, Lassi and Bombay crush 😍 The food and service didn't disappoint 👌

Food is always good and familiar. It has become quite expensive, I guess like everything nowadays. The persons by the till can definitely be friendlier and not make you feel so rushed.
Riki Armstrong
We got the full house gatsby. It was totally delicious. The masala steak was piled on and the chips are really good. Top quality, highly recommended. For food vloggers, ask if they will assemble in front of you. 🥰 Thank you Tapiwu.

Load shedding is effecting the quality of the food. Rice dishes and noodles is a problem and goes off very quickly if temperatures are not regulated
Michelle Seeber
They literally have the best India food in the country!! Really tasty!

Decent spot, has a large variety. 80% of the time the food is fresh, the other 20% it's mostly the produce that is only fresh, the other ingredients taste like they have been reheated.

I've been eating here for about 6 yrs or so now , so if you are prepared to go for the taste then you will be rewarded , the food is always great ( I only order curry, biryani or Chicken thali ) I dont eat the other dishes and haven't tried it - what I can say is Cape Town CBD has become a bit challenging with vagrants and street opportunists so be cautious outside and surroundings - but if you look past this and go for the food and price of what you get you wont be disappointed . if you are going there for fancy alternative dishes then choose wisely . For Curries and Naans then the taste and quality is up there with top guys in Cape Town . Also choose the right time of day to visit , food is normally prepped at 11am onwards and find 3pm to6pm is teh best time when quiet other times of teh day is normally busy and can be a bit overwhelming . enjoy .

The worste service ever....disgustingly rude staff behind the counter, they have no way of treating their customers... you order your food and by the time u get to ask for extra plates ur food is cold...the place is filthy....they dnt even clean the tables properly...use 1 dirty clothe to wipe the tables and dnt even go over it with a clean one.... i wouldnt advise anyone to eat there...Bellville branch have sooooo much better service....i use to love eating their food but after the incident i had there i would never ever eat there again....

Visited the place in Dec/Jan while on holiday and couldn't get enough of the food. Visited the place yesterday again while on business and the food was just as tasty. Friendly staff and yummy food. Will definitely be my stop whenever I'm in Capetown
Gert Johan Koekermoer
Best place ever...great vibe service is good ...i like the breez that plays along rite threw the shop...so even hot food is not a problem....breez takes it all away...brilliant place
Brenda Arendse Solomons
Food in got the best food , services and staff are very quick to assist , I Love the food
Tasneem Waggie
Wow I'm so impressed with the food.. felt like i was transported to India.. will definately recommend people to go have their food..
Mogamat Salie Raffie
such a large variety of eats just walking in the place makes you feel that you are in a wonderland. I am from East London in the Eastern Cape. Was walking in Long Street and a guy was sweeping in the street. I asked him where there is a place where I could buy food. He directed us to your establishment. I really enjoyed the food there and would recommend it to anyone. Very friendly staff. Thanks
Nabeel Sakkaf
the place was filthy we got served in foam containers the cokes were warm a T bone misses one side of it the aircon was not working tge chips was the processed ready made chips like those KFC type totally dissapointed
Nadine Nagan
Best bunny chow in a long time...generous amount of curry with extras on the side...amount of meat potions on point...
Elri Wilson
Ordered two chicken salomies for takeaway. They wrre ready when i got there and they were delicious. Generous portion sizes and good flavour. Really enjoyed it.
Andrew James
Their food is amazing. I love the fact that you gave us tasters in order to assist to decide what food we wanted. The restaurant is clean... we bought our food and ended up staying there, due to the warm welcome we received from the staff but also the warm homely vibe they created. I will definitely go back there anytime 5

Most unappetizing lamb vindaloo I have (partly) eaten. Consisted of 4 bones with predominantly cartilage in a oily red sauce that stained my fingers. The roti was rubbery, oily and almost translucent. Salads consisted of cabbage, a few shreds of carrots and onions.
Portia Moolman
The food was awesome, the place needs a facelift, because its very humid inside... That said, I will definitely go there again...
Gerard Jansen
The most diabolical service and food tasted ever Omw... Extremely upset with this food my colleague went to collect for us. We on a night shift and thought we would have a nice meal and turned out to be the worst meal in the world, payed such a lot of money for my meal alone I swear I could feed a village with mac Donald's meals with the amount of money we paid... Most appauling service and tasteless little food received by food Inn long street.. You guys deserve a rating of 0.0 and nothing more.
Dullah Slamang
I beg to differ. I was there today and left with a nasty experience. The rooti was disgusting so was the food and when we complained the manager was really not helpful and said they don't need customers like us. The verbal altercation with the manager resulted in us leaving to Eastern Bazaar for our meal.
Vrunda
As tourist were longing for some spicy Indian food and crashed into this joint. It’s not flashy but the food is amazing. Wide variety, Great taste, good portions and reasonably priced. Visited this place thrice during our stay in Cape Town. One of their staff from Vadodara in India (handles orders and cash) made great recommendations.
Dumba
Awesome place to go after a night out. Service is a bit slow, but the food is good and hearty. Good neighbourhood gem.
Suraj Singh
I work nearby, so this is my go-to place for lunch on many occasions. Fast food, indian food, turkish food etc Similar to Eastern Food bazaar, bt their Hakka noodles is the best ive had in Cape Town, especially the spicy chicken one with added chillies. A must if ur club hopping in Long Street, or even just need a quick bite during lunch time

Heard so much about food inn..... Went on saturday 4 the 1st time. Service was excellent, food was awesome ordered chicken thali was the best ever and portions were very big. Great value for money. Will definately be going again :)
Found myself wandering around Long Street in search for food on Sunday afternoon. Luckily I gave this place a try. Food was delicious, served piping hot, and plentiful. This place is nothing fancy but has a great vibe. Will go again.
Allister Holland
No rating for zero so had to give you a one instead.
I will never visit this place again i had the butter chicken which was bland as hell
waited 30mins for my food and staff not helpfull
Shubha Bhat
Try the Bombay sizzler for a unique experience. The portion size is large, literally enough for two people. Their cushioned seats are not exactly good as they see many customers and gets dirty easily. If you looking for cheap food late in the night on long street because all the kitchens are closed, this is the place to be!
Monica Fernandes
If you're looking for a post-party snack rather go to McDonald's. The food here is below average, the staff are not friendly, you wait forever for your meal and the toilets are disgusting.
Frans Fourie
Not a fancy sto. Worth every cheap cent. Closest to Eastern Cuisine in SA. Friendly service. Tip waiter extra get larger portion.

Well located in Long street.
Shabaana Osman
Cheap, street-style Indian food... Food was tasty... Naan was hot and crispy with enough garlic and butter to match my taste... Butter chicken was nice although it could have been a tad bit hotter.... Veg thali is definitely worth the small price you pay. If you are after fine dining, or even normal restaurant style service this will surely disappoint you as here you pay at one counter and collect at the various stations... Seat yourself.
Jessica Zef
Been here three times. The decor can do with an upgrade as it looks quite shabby. The food always takes quite a long time to prepare. The prices are average but the quality of the food is below average. Tried the pizza, russian and chip roll and russian gatsby. The russians are always watery, cold and a bad quality - they should try cooking it longer.

So after a visit to the Cape Town Comedy Club and some drink we were a bit peckish. So where better to get food after midnight than Food Inn.

So let's be frank, this is not gourmet cuisine in a fancy setting. Its mass produced, low priced food catering to the masses. I have made no secret about my fondness for dodgy looking Indian food joints and they fit the bill perfectly.

We both had the lamb curry, I had naan and she had roti. Curry was tasty.. just meat (not a potato in sight). As always naan and roti good as well.

This place is on the top 5 list of late night, slightly intoxicated food places to visit.
Shamiel Botha
Their butter chicken and garlic naan are my favorite thing. Tikka and thandori also good beef or chicken pizzas very tasty and the ice cream is top notch
Zaahidah Adams
Really reasonably priced so expect what you paying for.
Some of their food is good but I prefer to order food off their menu that needs to be made while you wait & not the curries that’s already visible as you do not know how long it’s been there.
Their steak sandwich is really great and worth it as well as their tandoori chicken, the tandoori chicken is a small portion though but you if having it with a garlic naan then you bound to be stuffed. Their Hakka noodles use to be nice but now it’s flavorless & there’s minimal streaks strips In.
Maz
From various Curries, Bunny Chows, Gatsbys, Wraps, Haka Noodles, Grilled Sandwiches, Mixed Grills, Pizzas, Tandoori & Tikka Chicken to Milkshakes, Desserts and Loads of Traditional Indian Delicacies. You name it they serve it!
They are strictly Halaal and foods are very well priced. Opt to sit down and enjoy your meal or grab and go.

The restaurant and its decor needs a refurb and the cleaning staff needs to up their game as restrooms are always filthy.
Mohammed Abdurahman
Asked the cook for slice of lemon and a chilli he had a moerse attitude huge black guy
Found what looks like a twisted wire in my lamb curry
Sweetmeats dough was tough as hell and old
I don't think these managers test the food from the cooks
Oh and the chips was cold and dry
Was definitely the last time
RAD
The service is really pathetic. The quality of the food is so poor and seem like a rushed job. The butter chicken was so sweet. Will never go to Food inn ever
Aletha Jeftha
Meh! Prefer Eastern Food Bazaar (EFB) over this place. The only thing I like is that they have Thalis, which EFB does not have (and I oh so wish they did).

Probably won't return though...
Charlotte Snyman
Wow. We chose a #Steaksizzler. It's a huge portion. So glad we are sharing.tasty and fire hot. Hubby wishes there were more chips. I could never ear this alone, never!
Abigail Potgieter
Came here for a quick lunch. We had the Chicken Noodles and it was so good. The naan bread is also a winner. The atmosphere was a but rushed as we didn't know where to pay etc but we enjoyed our meal.

We came back and had delicious chicken breyani and mutton curry. The breyani was so much for only R40! Very friendly and helpful staff.
Leandra Mouton
Perfect winter comfort food! Yum... Big portions, reasonable prices and also not to crowded, definitely popping in again soon! Nice to take away.
MrsAdams
So i have been here a couple of times and my opinion is that the food here is "okay" definitely dont enjoy it as much as i do enjoy eating at or even the food at eastern bazaar
Tinéo Galela
Good food, quickly prepared. I wish it was a little spicier but the curries from here taste good accompanied by perfectly made naan. I ordered the butter chicken, chicken curry, garlic naan and plain naan. Perfect meal to accompany studying.
Imtiyaaz Hart
Had an overall good experience here.

The variety platter was decent, not the best for Indian food but value for money.

Will say this though, their peppermint dessert is amazing!!!!!
Saabirah Hare
This is the place that you go to when you just don't feel like cooking. They have a variety of foods and is very similar to Eastern Bazaar, I think they are related. For me, this is home food. With the curries, butter chicken, burgers, bunny chows etc. I usually go here when I want home food. They are extremely cheap and have big portion sizes. It's a place that everyone should try out. What I really enjoy is their hakka noodles and their burgers and I love their indian breads. Their sizzlers are also very popular.
Anandmrk
I have noticed this restaurant had 3.8 on Google reviews and 2.3 on zomato. But I still decided to try this place out as I was quite bored with the Eastern food bazaar. This place is situated on the junction of 2 streets. We had some work near the center and so we thought of having a quick lunch here.
Picking the items were the toughest as I liked the color of the Briyani and the steam off the sizzlers. But my friend and I had other ideas. We asked for a chicken singapoori, chicken tikka boti and a chicken Briyani. The chicken Briyani was delivered instantly as they usually keep the Briyani ready and on heat. The singapoori took time while the boti got delivered next. And then finally came the singapoori. I loved the taste of the singapoori but my friend says he has tried singapoori before and it was not the same. The boti was smooth delicious. The chips went well with the dhal and the other gravy. By the time we finished the Briyani was still there on our table waiting. So before we can do a Takeaway I tried a spoon of the Briyani. It was bad. So we decided to actually take it home and alter it a bit to make it into a true Briyani. Overall a decent experience provided the fact that it came very cheap in price.

So I was in the CBD Cape Town today & dropped in to Food Inn for a quick lunch. Busy as always. Food not that warm though but still tasty, not spicy. Price still a fraction and the servings still generous. Oh India, my India...
A Foodie Travels
For the price paid the portions are very generous ,not very hot curries though ,there is alot of people that dine here and was packed with people
Gillion Bosman
Don't order a gatsby here. Not good, but they make bad curry as well. My meal was cold and very bad. The environment is open for picket pockets and the staff not helpful.
Cynthia
The portions are big, and the curries are not too bad, so if you on budget this will suit your pocket. I would expect more flavour from the food being it "Indian cuisine". Cant go wrong after a late night of drinking.
Omnomnomm
Ordered via Delivery Extreme whilst visiting for business in Woodstock, delivery time excellent. Vegan friendly, big portions (was 2 full meals for me), extra Thai (not cerrano) green chillies added as I asked for hot - so I got a proper hot. Taste and consistency of starter and main was above average although the chillies really made the dish and enhanced the other flavours, think it would have been just average if made mild. Food was slightly cold when received but that may have been due to the driver and not the restaurant. Open until early hours so a good post-party meal option and tons better for you than McDonald's. No complaints.
Azele Anne Naicker
The curries are good. I prefer the rondebosch branch over this one. Not very hygienic and the place looks haphazardly arranged. Very good budget meal.
Nuhrjehaan Ely
The Food is very nice, very tasty and portions are great. I think they should work on the restaurant itself. The seating and tables were broken and sticky (dirty). I would buy take away as we can see the food being made but not so sure about sitting and eating there, the place is always busy so im sure the owner can fix the place up..
Akira Wing
We had a late night stop at the Food Inn for a post-party meal. It's a risky choice, but I definitely prefer some cheap curry over McDonalds.

The portions are huge. We had a mince paratha which wasn't great... The mince was in a thin chewy patty and didn't have a great flavour. The butter chicken curry was decent. The chicken was a bit overcooked and dry, but the sauce was tasty, maybe a tad too sweet. Both dishes were served with a tasty lentil dhal and salad. Well worth the price but definitely reserved for desperate late night food stops.
Nothando Melissa Tembe
I had the worst experience in my life! I ordered tea and they brought a such a dirty cup with the waiter spilling half of it on to the saucer and serving it to me like that.

When I requested another one the owner told me he won't do that will just give me the same tea in a different cup. When I rejected that and wanted a refund he said I'm full of shit and he won't do that.

Everything turned into a scene with him swearing me. Was so disgusted
Glenn Muller
Was in the mood for some veg curry and popped in at Eastern Bazaar but had nothing that caught my fancy. Onto Food Inn and opted for the veg thali which was tasty and good value for money. Love the concept and yes, whilst this this no Michelin eatery, you pretty much get what you pay for.
Iman Bawa
Very disappointed the food lacked flavour that you expect from Indian food. The concept is good but they need to rethink their recipes. The aloo paratha I had lacked seasoning and the tikka chicken didn't have the spicy flavour
Megan Bellinger
We grabbed food from here for a quick takeaway, my first time at a Food Inn.
I was surprised at how much there was too choose from and the really great prices, especially for the massive portions!
The service is quick, and you see exactly what you're getting. I had the chicken tikka masala with a roti. Its reakly rich so i suggest sharing another dish with someone to neutralise it out :)
My boyfriend had the lamb bunny, it was huge, barely able to finish.
The service is no nonsense, so expect to go get your food, and out again without the fuss.
Clare Appleyard
Best way to describe this place?
Some kinda crazy!
Popped in on a Sunday afternoon and it was heaving. Packed with locals and their families, and, given the value for money, understandable. It's not going to win any culinary awards, but the portions sizes are outrageously huge.
Lunch for 2, with soft drinks was just over R100.
Hakka noodles with chicken had a bit of a spicy kick. Tandoori chicken pretty decent with naan and a spicy dhal.
Good spot to fill the gap.
Gerschel
Stopped by for lunch, waited quite long to be served because of the long lines.. You actually don't wait that long for your food, I had the tikka chicken cubes with chips and salads. Nice foods for a quick lunch break.. Thanks 👌
Brandon Pipers
in the beginning the food was great in bellville but than they started to slack and the food wasnt son good thats why i dont worry to buy much there anymore
Sarita Kerber
When I was working in long street I would come get lunch and supper here. It's great tasting Indian cuisine and the prices are affordable and big servings. I love this spot because the curries are always delicious.!
Suitcases And Lattes
Affordable and tasty food in the heart of long street. It was my first time there and I must admit that the layout of the place was confusing. The food was made quickly and was tasty. They kept forgetting things on my order so had to go back to the counter to ask. It was a hot night but it was boiling in there.
Siddharth Mehta
We went there for lunch on a weekday. It is a really nice place for Indian food. Finally we got a lot of options for veg food here. We tried the alu sabji. It was really nice and gave a feeling that you are back in India. The roti/paratha is huge. One is enough to fill your tummy. Serving quantity is more than good (u won't be able to finish it yourself) and its quite economical as well. A must try if you are looking for tasty indian food.
Chad Rayner
This score is based on value for money and generally all round great tasting food made with love. Definitely one of my favourites. You cant go wrong with a hakka noodle, lamb bhuna gosht or hot chips (which comes with cinnamon!!-delish). No there isnt 5star service, suede furnishings, the facilities need some work, but the staff are friendly and there is no pretense (which cape town could do with less of anyway) I find the food is much better quality than eastern food bazaar as its less oily and more flavorful.
Zimkhitha Sulelo
Today I tried food inn for lunch and I liked it. I walk past food inn everyday but never explored it as an option for lunch. My winter days could have been so much better with their curries or butter chicken lining my stomach.

I went there with colleagues so it was interesting to see other people orders. Not one person complained about the choices. Butter chicken was a hit and so was the sweet n sour noodle dish. I played it safe with tandoori chicken and a garlic nan. Was good, I have tasted better but the flavours were there. We got a lot of food for what we paid so we took our food back to the office.

The guys were not so keen on giving us containers or extra serviettes. If you want water you have to ask for it. I guess that's how they keep their prices down. But if you overlook all these other things and embrace the plastic spoons, you will do just fine.
Jacques Van Zyl
The food was fantastic.

The only concern was the miscommunication at the counters. We had to take our order slips to the various counters and we weren't informed about that so we were waiting for food extra long until one of the staff members at the food counter came to enquire about our order. Only then they started making our food.

They have delicious dessert options and the ice-cream is amazing. For R10 you get a tub of ice-cream which is quite a bargain.

Thank you Food Inn India for a good experience.
Tafel Vir Twee
This place provides a good variety of curries, gatsbies, salomies, etc., but lacks the charm and quality is Eastern Food Bazaar. The gatsby is huge and great value for the money. Overall, this place's strength is in feeding drunk people heading home from a long night of partying, though. The atmosphere is also quite dark and depressing.
Thato
Popped in once again for chicken briani and it was my first time eating in, I usually buy take aways. Now their rice and chicken are on point but the salad dressing is as if it's diluted with water and the Chicken ticka noodles had too much onion rings sliced thickly. After all the service is great and quick.
Brandon Ellse
For what these guys offer, which is quick, cheap and tasty Asian food, they're damn good at it. Obviously it isn't the healthiest stuff in the world but sometimes I just don't care. Their indo Chinese is awesome when I just feel like eating something hot with flavour and I don't feel like waiting. Parking can obviously be a mission given it's location in long street. From a safety perspective, You also have to be mindful at night when popping in.
Arvind Narasimhan
Avoid if you can. It's a very affordable indian place with great staff. They are are ready helpful but the taste of true food is just average to say the least. The price point scores the most for this place. Lots of variety n I tried all vegetarian hence my review needs to be read on that light. Overall a below par experience wherein I expect quite a lot.
Melanie Kanasashi
I love this place!

Amazingly tasty food
At such good prices for the amount of food you get
Service is good and real quick
Very friendly people working behind the counter,
I keep going back as it's that good
My favorite dishes are the butter chicken and the haka noodles, absolutely adore it.
Peter Davis
Such amazing food... Across the board.... Quick late bites and heavy lunches.... Good prices and good quantity and quality food. Great long street stop
Ayesha Mohamed Khan
I had the chicken fried rice and hubby had the lamb rogan gosh and we both enjoyed our meals. It was definitely better than what we've had at eastern food bazaar and is slightly cheaper as well. They're also not as full and seating arrangements are more spaced out and comfortable.
Neil.slabbert
Went in for quick take-aways. Ordered Chicken Tikka. Which was a bit soggy and tasteless. Not very strong and more watery sauce than chicken. I suppose for the price its OK. But ya, expected better quality...
Ilhaam Laamy Nazier
This affordable fast serving take out and sit-in Restaurant offers amazing Indian dishes! Perfected to enjoy on the spot Indian Cuisine. Been here plenty a times and has never disappointed. Prices are fairly cheap compared to other take outs, especially in the CBD area. Their variety of dishes makes each visit a memorable one.
Emmacooper0101
This is a reasonably priced alternative to 12am Mc Donald's. If you are looking for big portions on a budget, Food inn is perfect. Great place for students to go!
Ryan Harrison
Found myself here after 12 at night which is not a time I usually equate to reliability when it comes to rating food but nevertheless I feel my experience worth noting.

I shared a lamb gatsby (because I had never had one before) and was very happy with it as I'm sure you can imagine. A huge meal packed with lots of unhealthy stuff but great for what I needed at the time.

Take it for what it is and its a decent place.
Fuad
Never ever come to food inn there service is putrid I waited 45 minutes for one chicken pita bread and they don't even apologize for that. Very sluggish service from all staff
Reshmi Muringathuparambil
As an Indian girl, I can't come here and order food without feeling like I'm being undressed by every man behind the counter. Some even try to hold my hand while passing my food over to me. Their thali's are good, but not good enough to make me want to put myself in an uncomfortable a position as being in a shop without a male companion next to me - honestly, what century and what country are we living in?
Ryan Mulders
I had a falafel pita that was really underwhelming. Very little flavour and over packed with salad. Regretted the purchase on the first bite, felt rather ripped off. I haven't tried anything else on the menu so the rest could be better.
Mujahied Thebus
I am a regular customer at the long street store as their price are great and portions are amazing. However, I went there on a Saturday evening and ordered the tikka chicken. I waited 45 minutes for my food to be told there is no more chicken, which was unnacceptable. I also noticed that many of the people who work their help people they know first and they get their food withing minutes while everyone else have ti wait.
Misha Massimo Beltrami
When you and your mates go on a mega lash on the town, smashin' beers and engaging in some top quality banter and it gets to 2am and you're proper stonkered and all you want is to stuff a curry down your gullet, Food Inn is the best. All your mates will probably get some noodles because they're batty boys, but you'll smash a Lamb Vindaloo and you'll be sweatin'. Put the toilet paper in the freezer. Whew harshly amazing.
Conrad Jonck
I had chicken Biryani and tasted the butter chicken. It was really good food and great value for money. I would recommend ordering the biryani in half portions though.
Guillermo Van Veen
Cheap and quick for late night food in Cape Town.

The schwarmas are filling but with very little meat though.

The curry is good but with a lot of bones.
Lufuno 'funie' Tshivhase
Amazing service. Great that i can watch them make my food and the portions are so big i had to share! If you hungry and broke this will change your life for the better! Such delicious food. Try the steak noodles. Always have them
Herman Agenbag
Cheap and cheerfull! Great, tasty curries, efficient service with food for everyone. From Pizza slices to their excellent North Indian curries. For a first time visitor, the Thali is a winner. It contains samples of all their popular curry dishes. They also have a vegetarian Thali option. They have a large menu, so prepare yourself and go hungry.Their staff are always friendly. For the more adventurous, they also have a 20min menu, where special orders are prepared. The rest is buffet style. Highly recommended. Parking can be a problem in the area though during peak hours.
Emile Johnson
This is the second time in in your shop to buy food and i dont get wot i ask for. I complained the last time and the guy at the pay point looked at me like he does not understand me and left with nothing. I came in on Sunday 06/07/2014 i ask the guy at the till i want curry with no bones he said i should take bhuna gosht i paid my R50 and when i got to work guess wot 4 pieces of meat and bones with little or no meat on did i not pay for boneless food wot a waist of money i always go to Eastern food bazaar and never have complaints i get wot i paid for. I was better of going to Eastern Bazaar or Even KFC would have been better more food for your money
Jay Sena Torres
terrible experience. the guy lied about the card machine not working because the place was dead and when I insisted it worked no problem and he was telling everyone to pay only with cash because of it and the place doesnt look as clean as their other location (Rondebosch) that is much nicer looking (nothing amazing but clean and food is good enough).
Raqeebah Khan
I don't come here often, but when I do the food is always good
Riaan Anker
I normally go for the lamb vindaloo. My complaint is too many bones in the meat and sometimes you feel cheated ..

Lots of rice and sauce but about 5 cubes of meat and you are lucky if one of the 5 is not just bone ..

Indian take away or sit in. Not a fine dine restaurant ..
Nicole May
Since 2011, this place has really bumped up their standards and ever so popular! This is just the facility itself but the food is always great, if you consider what you're paying the meals are decent and are of large portions. I took my partner there a week back and she was pleasantly surprised. However, this is no fancy restaurant, but one can enjoy the aesthetics as it makes one feel as if they are in a "little India". This place is great for those living the student life, those who have cravings for large meals or those who have a budget.
I recommend this place to anyone who open minded to eating experiences.
A good 3.5 from me
