Loved this place. Loved the decor, friendly staff and the slogan "eat naan and curry on". Had chicken masala curry with naan. Very tasty, large portion. Amazeballs.
Second experience within the space of two days and haven't been disappointed. Anything lamb based is my fave but have had nothing but chicken so far! Tandoori chicken on Saturday and Chicken Tikka Masala yesterday. Both so amazing I wanted to take home the left over gravy! Definitely a favourite Indian spot from now on.
I'm originally from the UK's curry capital, Leicester. I have lived in Cape Town for nearly 6 years and have visited many of the cities curry houses. The majority have been OK, but only OK. Many are overpriced, focusing more on their expensive decor than the quality of their food.
Punjabs is different. It offers simple surroundings, friendly service, but best of all truly authentic Indian food at reasonable prices that knocks the spots off all other local competition. If you want to experience true Indian hospitality and taste authentic Indian food in Cape Town, this is the place.
The service was friendly and efficient and the delicious food came timeously. I loved the decor which made me feel as if I was eating street food in an enclosed ally restaurant in Asia. I can find nothing to fault - it was a perfect evening.
Fast & friendly service. Loved the chilled decor. Good wines, freshly squeezed juices, good coffees. The food was outstanding. Delicious & nicely presented. My husband had lamb Rogan Josh with naan and I had Prawn Malabar with basmati rice. Both excellent�

Wow! have always wanted to eat here, as everytime l am in the vicinity, the smells are incredibly alluring, & l am so happy we got an opportunity to sit down & enjoy some of the delicious menu tonight - the fragrances are enough to make you salivate, just thinking about them, yum ;p will definitely be a regular at this lovely establishment, as l need to taste the whole menu!
Was there last night. Loved the food. The fresh juices were mind blowing. Seeing punjab I was expecting makki di roti n sarson da saag would love to eat that. Will visit soon with whole family.
Probably my new favorite Indian cuisine spot in Cape Town. It's all about the food here and the experience is definitely worth a trip to Lakeside.
The selection of dishes available is diverse and the staff are very friendly.
I ordered a Roti and some dessert. It was the best Roti I've had outside of Durban.
For dessert I had Nutella samoosas, while this wasn't a first for me it was definitely the first time it wasn't overly warm.
Value for money is there, the portions are large, fresh and taste excellent.

Went to Lakeside shopping centre this evening and was going to get a Pizza, saw Punjab and decided to go in and browse the menu.
The young lady behind the counter was very convincing so I decided to try the Lamb Korma and Butter Naan.
It was by far the best decision, thank you to the young lady for her persuasive sale skills. 😂🙏
The curry was delicious, flavourful, tasty, creamy and great meat portion.
Portion sizes are generous.
Will definitely be back.
I can highly recommend their cuisine.

I am a vegetarian and I always find that Punjab has a great variety of vegetarian meals. The meals are tasty, made with great ingredients. I usually find that one meal is enough for 2 meals for myself. I can highly recommend them!
Surprisingly different to other Indian restaurants I have visited. Can see the prep areas and I liked the open plan. Food was tasteful and the wine delicious.
Despite its unassuming location and building condition, this restaurant offers well-spiced dishes at reasonable prices.
