My new favourite ice cream shop in South Africa. I am so glad it is in Cape Town, very very far away from my home town otherwise I would be bankrupt and fat. I had mint lindt. I can't wait for my next trip to Cape Town and a chance to try a different flavour.

A great little spot to grab some gelato or a slush at the V & A Waterfront. Everything is delicious, the staff are super friendly and all their goodies are perfect for a hot summer day.
Service excellent Had a milkshake with coffee ice cream and was not disappointed The best ice cream and shakes and everything else in Cape Town
Nice cool off place with nice ice crushes for a decent price that matches the quality. Very comfortable seating and friendly staff. Wide variety from ice creams to coffee. Highly recommend for a quick cool off.
Ice cream. Ice cream. We all scream for ice cream.
There a few of this ice cream place in Cape Town. This one is in the busy V&A Waterfront. The ice cream is delicious and there is a vast variety of flavours to choose from.
The price is a bit more than average
The staff are very friendly and helpful
I highly recommend you to visit this place
Great if you passing by and feel like ice cream. Would not go out of my way though.
Haven't been there in a while though so can't provide too much feedback.
My sister is obsessed with this place so naturally we go often. The lindt choclate is my favourite. I prefer the cones to the cup because i can eat it haha. Really cool place
We love ice cream so much, we even have our own ice cream machine to make the healthier version ;)
So what I enjoyed is even though there is only a choice of 2 for diabetics, the flavors were amazing. We went for a scoop of both... The chocolate and the hazelnut.
No fuss ice cream time. Thank you for having this option as many diabetics probably find it extremely hard to find healthy treats on the go ;)
Not sure how any place that offers coffee in Cape Town can afford not to know what a flat white is? Their coffee taste accordingly. Just have a couple of ice creams and take a walk outside. They have a pretty decent selection but ice cream in Cape Town is expensive.
Really one of my Favorite places to grab ice cream. It's rich and velvety. Their prices are pretty standard at the moment and their flavours surpass the usual "chocolate, strawberry and vanilla"
Saw the reviews in Zomato they have got and thought of trying and it went good. Tried the sea salt caramel flavor which was really really good . Loved it . Beautiful ambience.. overall good one.
I am an ice cream lover and gelato mania hardly ever disappoints. Their chocolate ice cream has the perfect amount of bitterness and just try it in a milkshake and you will be blown away. I love the set up they have in the waterfront, the seating area is just adorable.
If you're looking for delicious, creamy ice cream in the vna waterfront this is probably the best place to go. The store is bright and the decor is playful. The ice cream is delicious and the service has been great every time I've been. A must after a long day of shopping.
Everyone's go to stop for quality ice cream.
Although quite expensive, and the staff aren't always the friendliest, Gelato mania offers some of the best tasting and creamiest ice cream you can find in Cape Town.
Gelato Mania also serves as the price bracket between Häagen-Dazs, The Creamery and Crumbs and Cream at the Waterfront.
Gelato is amazing here and the flavours to choose from are awesome and numerous. I liked that you could also order banting friendly gelato for diabetics. I wish they had the option of smaller scoops, then I could order several different flavours without breaking the bank.
Gelato Mania has a gorgeous selection of ice creams, sorbets and the most amazing toppings. I love the strawberries and cream flavour. Sometimes I stand by the display for a good few minutes, unable to come to a decision on what to buy!
On the other hand, service at Gelato Mania always seems so tardy and they are forever getting the order of people in the line mixed up. I had to wait for a family of 5 who came after me to be served before they paid attention to me. I did complain and received an unenthusiastic apology, but I just took it with a pinch of cinnamon, because it went well with the ice cream :D
So between my wife, daughter and I we had. Chocolate, coconut, hazelnut and pistachio. They were all really good. Very impressed with this little gelato store
Love the ice creams here.
So much so, that I ordered 2 cones.
My favourite flavour is Pino Penigio. Its Nutella and Hazelnut. Definitely try this flavour.
I would like some music to be playing outside...
Real ice cream in several mouthwatering flavours and seductive and inviting colours. Brings out your inner child no matter what your age is. My mom, 77 years old with a tiny appetite chose three scoops - yoghurt and berry, salted caramel and rum & raison in a sugar cone. The cones are divine - crunchy & not too sweet. I also had the joghurt & berry (smooth, creamy with slight sharpness from the berries) and the "ferrero rocher" - hazelnut & chocolate ganache.
Like like like!!
Delicious gelato! I do think the prices are hefty but I suppose it keeps you limited to one scoop rather than going for the tempting two. Definitely worth the calories and a treat for the taste buds!
Top draw! Some of the best gelato I've had. They have a great variety of flavours, which can make it hard to choose! It's a bit pricey compared to other gelato outlets, but I reckon it's worth it..
Best gelato ever! Great flavours. It seems to be quite a popular place. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it. For instance, their chocolate sugar cones are R8...but it is a chocolate sugar cone so totally worth it!
Precious and Primrose at Seapoint MilkyLane went over and above to help me with my sons birthday ice cream cake. These girls take pride in their work. MilkyLane is very luck to have these girls representing their brand.
Milky lane..... Just a amazing. Makes ice cream cones like they did way back in the early 90s. Lovely piece of nostalgia right there🌻
Really cool staff, I asked them to write my brothers name on his birthday cake and they were kind enough to do it!
Thank you!

Friendly vibe. And loved the cuppicino with cream.
First off, parking was quite hard to find but once found wasnt a far walk just a couple of dodgy characters outside the door.
Went here wanting a Crunchie waffle but unfortunately they were out of chocolate mousse so it took me a while to decide what to have, after about 10 minutes of contemplation I went with the Bar One and Peppermint Areo Whizzer which was a definite great choice!
I was gladly surprised it was full of chocolate almost in every bite and topped with even more and bar one sauce.
I will definitely be back to order it again!
Small but nice. You can order take out or sit in. The sit in area is tiny but clean and suitable for 3 people. Always have their waffles. Awesome
Waffles very good but customers get harassed inside the shop for money. No security I was scared
Variety making it hard to choose...went for simple , sweet and traditional . Much enjoyed ...
The ice cream cone with nuts at Milky Lane is a must for me. Love it. Shop has been refurbished and it's looking quite nice..great atmosphere. Have to mention that the staff are quite friendly. I think that's important for staff to have a good relationship with their customers and Milky Lane staff have the right mix.
Milky Lane is always a favorite when looking for a quick dessert or ice cream. Their ice cream is really tasty and prices are reasonable. However, there is one person assigned to takeaway and one person assigned to the seated patrons. So waiting time can be quite lengthy but totally worth it
Friendly customer service and shop is spacious for covid just very hot.
