Review The Creamery Cafe Mouille Point - Cape Town Central

Shaen MacDevette
Went for half and half ice creams which is the best deal. Tried the marshmallow topping and can confirm it is worth the hype! So so good and reminiscent of campfire smores. Staff are friendly, you can sample the ice cream and get your loyalty card stamped to eventually get a free one. We sat inside at the tables. A relaxed environment with other families and kids or solo ice cream enjoyers happily chatting and lapping up the good stuff. The ice cream is high quality, no preservatives and they source ingredients locally - all the more reason to support them. A little pricey but worth it. It's a December tradition and we are never disappointed.

I tried the honey comb crunch I had a double scoop and chose toasted marshmallow as my topping it was delish

Traveling from the states and friends wanted something warm with ice cream after dinner. This place truly hit the spot!! So delicious and the staff was so hospitable and kind. Definitely a great dessert spot and right by the water. 100/10

I live that Creamery now serves cookies and warm desserts. I absolutely live the ooey gooey cookie with salted caramel ice cream. It's my new favorite dessert.
Ms Noxolo
It is within a walking distance to and fro the beach, and It closes late at night so you can come get a scoop or two on those hot spring/summer evenings. Very chilled atmosphere with a fresh minimalistic deco. The ice-cream is a bit pricy but you get your money's worth and some more. They do halfies per serving, which is great! Very delicious flavours across the menu! What you see in the reviews and pictures is what you'll get!👌🏽
Nolan Rumble
Great spot for some creative flavours of ice-cream. Opt for the malva pudding with a scoop of your favourite flavour if you want to indulge. Staff are helpful and friendly! It’s quite lekker to sit out next to the window/door to get some fresh air while eating ice-cream. Alternatively eat the ice-cream along the promenade!
Catherine Kannemeyer
Creamery ice cream is worth the calories no doubt. Sweet cream and salted caramel are perennial favourites but neither are over sweet. I prefer tart fruit and nutty flavours - their plum sorbet and macadamia nut ice cream are my favourites thus far. Always a treat with my cousins. Even if it's windy it's a sheltered ice cream spot.
Cooper Moore
Cannot recommend this place enough. This quality ice cream in the quantity they provide would be 15 USD a cup… it’s like 3 USD here. Must visit. Amazing amazing amazing ice cream. If you’re familiar with Jeni’s or Loblolly they have similarly delicious products. Will go back anytime I’m in Cape Town!!

Having never been to The Creamery Mouille Point before, I decided to go and see if it would meet the high standards set by my visits to other The Creamery stores. It did. Store is small and cozy, but has comfortable seating. This one is nice as you can get an ice-cream and then take a walk along Seapoint beach front. Flavour of the month (Blueberry Cheesecake) is very delicious. I also look forward to having one of their waffles once they are once again selling them. All in all, will be back.
Danielle Banfield
Love their ice cream! And unique flavours. The fact that every time we go there is some sort of queue attests to their popularity. Service always good and staff are always friendly.
Sue Ward
Tiny litte shop, always a queue of people wanting their delicious icecream.. So many unusual flavours. Quite pricey though.

Simple Elegant delicious i loved it Yummiest ever and highly recommended if u have a sweet tooth this place is meant for you.
Divan Smit
The shop is quaint and the employees are extremely friendly and helpful, I love that you can taste a few of the ice creams before you make a decision on your favourite one. The prices are a bit high, but the ice cream is totally worth it. I would 10/10 recommend.
Cinzia Govender
Had a lovely experience their today. My husband went to get some vegan ice cream and the staff blessed us with a vegan chocolate tub to promote more of their vegan ice cream. It was such a wonderful surprise and blessing and the ice cream is delicious. Thank you
Moyo Babalola
It was quite packed when we came in but it was still an amazing experience! I had one popcorn and one chocolate orange flavoured ice-cream over a hot gooey dark chocolate chip cookie! Oh my word!!!
Francois Conradie
The ice cream has never disappointed and staff are very friendly, but queueing on summer days is a bit of a nightmare. The bathroom situation perhaps also needs a bit of a refresh.
Eleanora Bresler
I was so looking forward to cheating on my diet with an ice cream from Creamery that I had heard so much about! The carrot cake and cream cheese ice cream intrigued me. A really cute shop and in fact a pity so hidden-I wouldn't have known it was there had I not been told. But the ice cream is just not creamy enough. It wasn't satisfying at all. I have to say I was a little let down :(
LF
The Icecream is fantastic! Nice, small cosy outlet.
The carrot cake ice-cream is just wow!
Chocolate, sweet cream and peanut butter were very good.
Zaahidah Adams
Very small and cute outlet. I was a bit sad that they don’t do waffles here. My chocolate pudding thing was not very appealing but the ice cream made it better also their banana split was being basic for me. Try to stay away from this place on a Sunday, it gets really full and there’s not much seating. The staff is amazingly friendly and the service is great
Nadhiya
Teeny tiny store so rather get your ice cream and go for a walk. We had the sea salt caramel, 65% chocolate, orange & raspberry curd and malva pudding to share. All were creamy but I wasn’t blown away. There just wasn’t any big wow factor about the ice cream which I kinda expected after reading all the Zomato reviews. They are also quite expensive and I wish there were vegan options. Will still go to the other branch to try the waffles though.
Amy Wardle
Staff seemed a bit sleepy when we arrived and didn’t really engage with us. I had the popcorn flavoured ice cream on a cone and my friend had the cookies and dough. Divine and creamy with delicious cones.
Mthimmo
Great ice cream spot. Tasty original flavours, and especially appreciated that none of their ice cream was doused with sugar for the sake of sugar. Clearly very popular as everyone seemed to be coming from far away locations! Definitely plan to keep coming back here on my next visits to Cape Town.
Bhavsha Sudesh Badul
Ice cream: 5
Ambiance: 3
Service: 4

Hands down best sweet cream ice cream Ever!!!! So many flavors to choose from you will be spoilt for choice!!!
Emma Divaris
This is one of the only ice cream places that can be packed on a cold night! And it's not hard to see why. They have a great selection of ice cream (the coffee and carrot cake are my two favourites). The waffles are also yummy and the staff are always friendly.
Malar
My first visit to the green point branch, the only outlet where ice cream is served over the warm cookie, indulgence guaranteed. Tiramisu is perfectly made, like what it should be , but trust me the cookie takes away the highlight as soon as you taste it. Great work guys, would love to know.who is the guy or the lady behind this concept...cheeers, appreciate for the passion towards making better everytime
Theloveofgoodfood
Clean, colourful atmosphere and supremely creamy ice-creams. The Tiramisu flavour is a must for this month.

Flavour choices are a bit limited, but high quality. Also a good selection of waffles and cookies to pair with the ice-creams.
Paulo De Almeida
Worst Ice Cream I’ve ever had. I had the Sea Salted Caramel and it tasted terrible. I’d rather go to Milky lane than pay R37 for way below tasteless ice cream.
Jessicasarahkrook
Went here on recommendation. Chose the 65% chocolate and sea salt caramel ice creams. Ice cream tasted like the custard base was burnt and sour. Ice cream was also over churned, it was icy and left a butter layer in our mouths. Will definitely never go back. Waste of calories.
Nazneen Ahmed
Service: friendly
Ambience: love the decor and the location of this branch, just a stone throw away from the ocean.
Menu: sadly no waffles at this branch, so I just had an cone instead. The salted caramel ice cream was good, but I have tasted better.
Rudolf Swanepoel
Who doesn't love Ice-cream?
Ingredients are locally sourced and they partner with other local businesses for exciting new flavours which is great.
I had the Rosetta Roastery Coffee flavoured ice-cream with another sweet cream flavoured scoop in a sugar cone.
The waffles are also to die for.
Laylah Fay
100% my favourite store! I love the cookie and ice cream combo - I had the berry and vanilla cookie with half chocolate and half Salt River of Dreams. I was in such a happy place! I might make a turn there today after my run this afternoon.
Advah C
I love a good ice cream and the creamery was our go to Sunday promenade treat. However every time I ate it, I was left with a thick layer of buttery fat stuck to my pallet. How disappointing!? I used to aupair and took the kids and they had the same issue. And that was the end of that.
T & Serendipity Blog
I realize this is a super controversial opinion, but I have to admit that I was not blown away by the Creamery. Perhaps my expectations were too high, or perhaps I was hoping for some Italy-style gelato-type of magical ice cream, but whatever the reason, the Creamery left me significantly underwhelmed. The staff were distinctly unfriendly, the flavours were only marginally above average, and on the whole I was just unimpressed. Perhaps next time I'll try some more exotic flavours.
Tanweer
This branch is smaller than the others but still has the same great ice cream! I had the salt River of dreams and cornflakes milk and they were both divine! The salt River of dreams had chunks of almonds and salted caramel and was so delicious. I always look forward to their new flavour of the month :)
Bronwin Andrea Du Preez
This one is for all you ice cream lovers.
Most of the time, the places I visit it firstly needs to be aesthetically pleasing to my eye. On this very Saturday morning, I had breakfast in town but couldn't find the perfect place for an afternoon dessert.

I hadn't tried the Creamery's ice-cream before and the opportunity presents itself to try something new. Walking into the little parlor my eyes already lit up. As if I were a four year old walking into a candy store. Instead of trying the normal such as scoop on a cone or a tub. I tried the "hot cookie". It's a biscuit which is heated in the oven severed with a scoop of ice-cream of your choice. The first bit I felt so confused, one moment it's hot then it's cold. Not to be fooled by that, it's as if little fairies are having a tea party in your mouth.

If you ever run out of options and you definitely a sweet tooth, this place should be of your list.
Justine McEvoy
The most amazing ice cream and the friendliest staff ever! Will go back over and over again for the salted caramel and the coffee flavour, absolutely delicious!
Beryl Klein
I have previously been to the Newlands branch and can honestly say that had the best ice-cream in my life therefore I wanted to share the experience with my mom, sister and husband on Mother's Day. We spent forever trying to find the place and then decided to call. I called 3 times on the number listed in Zomata and no-one answered. You guys may have the best ice cream in Cape Town but your customer service is shocking which is why I had to raise this concern and give the low review.
Nabeelah Shaboodien
I've always had great experiences at this branch of the Creamery. It's situated just behind Hussar Grill in Beach road, Mouille Point. There is ample parking in the street which is just a short walk away from the cafe.

I usually order one scoop - half and half. I find that this is just enough icecream - I can never finish two full scoops. Tonight I ordered one scoop - half carrot cake, half peach oat crumble. It was absolutely delicious, with real carrot cake/ peach pieces inside the icecream. The sugar cones are always fresh and tasty.
My friend ordered one scoop of sweet cream icecream which was also yum.

The cafe itself isn't big and you shouldn't expect to find seating there during their busy periods (Sunday afternoons in my experience) but it's just as great to take a walk along Beach road, icecream in hand, enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean.
Zanenkululeko Belot
Easily my favourite branch, who doesn't like a scoop or two of handmade ice cream while overlooking the Mouille Point promenade?

This time around I tried the Carrot Cake (which tasted like actual Carrot Cake, it was mind blowing) and the Peanut Butter
Pusm
I save this cute cafe because of the position next to a beautiful park and close to the ocean. But for the quality of icecream I won't go back. Every flavour leaves a layer of fat on the palate , I rather go to my favorite gelateria in town for a cold dessert rather than eating this ball of icy fat.
Kirsty Ballard
Honestly just an epic ice-cream joint. I think I coupled chocolate with peanut-butter and it was mouthwatering. Perfect to grab before a walk down the Sea Point Prom 🍦
Sam
The best store to visit because of the location near the promenade. Staff are efficient and friendly and the store is prettily decked out in pastel green.

Scoops are generously sized and the icecream tastes creamy and decadent. My struggle is finding an icecream flavour I like. Generally the standard ones taste the best, I've tried the 65% chocolate, sweet cream and sea salt caramel. The flavour of the month can be hit or miss.

I really want to love the Creamery but sadly I only just like it as the flavours can be a bit boring and meh. I think if u live in the area it's great to stop for a scoop, if not I wouldn't specifically go here for ice-cream.
Crystal Murray
Very friendly staff! And the vanilla with raspberries hot cookie and peach yoghurt ice cream is my absolute favourite😍😍😍

The banana split is a MUST TRY!!! yummy!!😍😍
Chris Rafael
Hands down the best home made ice cream I've ever had... and I've eaten my fair share of ice cream. The flavors are sourced seasonally which I think is a great nod towards using fresh and local produce. The portion is just great, one scoop is more than enough for me. I would highly recommend the cookie dough topping !!! My gosh it's just awesome. Their brûlée banana split is also amazing - but where there waffles at?
Gabriel Stein
I loved the staff here!! Great guys and super enthusiastic! I also really like the different topping options such as the toasted marshmallow 😍😍 but the ice cream itself was meh. I wouldn't come here for just a scoop. In my mind, unframed is still king when it comes to just straight up. But creamery is definetely leading the way in innovative ways to eat your ice cream :p apparently the waffles are amazing, will defs come back and give a try!
Chuma Bubu
This must be my favorite 'The Creamery'. I think I like that it's smaller than the Newlands one thus making it more intimate. I also like that the times I have been it hasn't been too busy. So it's great for a catch-up with a friend or too without feeling like you should rush because other customers are waiting. Like all other stores, the staff is super friendly and patient with my indecisive self lol.

But the real reason that this store is my favourite is because their signature goodie is the hot cookie. I love the vanilla one with raspberry. It has a crunchy exterior with a soft middle - to die for.

Totally worth the trip from the southern suburbs.
The Jax Blog
Love love love this original little gelateria. When the old gelateria next to Newport bagels closed down in mouille pointed was so sad. But this hidden little gem, besides it's quaint decor had some really interesting flavours of ice cream. Thanks to Hillsong Frontline Conference I was able to taste their Prickly passions flavour ...yummmm I think this was prickly pear? It was deeelish! Other flavors included granadilla chocolate....oooh I'll def go back...rain or shine! 😀👍
Kim Knight
I've been to The Creamery in Greenpoint twice now and it's definitely worth the hype. The staff are friendly, the decor is bright and inviting, and their ice cream is to die for. I had the vanilla and raspberry hot cookie, which is fresh baked while you wait, with chocolate ice cream - it was a thing of beauty. Their Roestta Roastery Coffee ice cream is also a winner, especially after dinner. I will most definitely visit again.
Jenna Rodd
I absolutely LOVE the hot cookie that they do at this branch (and not at others). The hot cookie contrasted with the cold ice-cream is heavenly. The layout of this restaurant doesn't flow as nicely as the other branches but luckily the promenade is nearby so on a nice day you can take your dessert outside.
Claire Victoria Henderson
The Creamery's ice cream is to die for, although their service is very hit and miss. Last time I was there the service was horrendous and the guy who helped us was incredibly rude, this time around it was delightful.

My fave flavor has to be their sea salt caramel, but I have had a number of their other flavors and I have never been disappointed.

They are all strong in flavor and oh-so-creamy, which is the two things ice cream should always be!

Additionally, I love that it's situated right across the road from the prom, meaning you can get a cone/cup of great ice cream and take a lovely walk while you're eating it and listen to the waves. Great for a nice hot day!
Reema Vather
Great quality ice cream, and what a unique choice of flavours! Way better than Haagen Dazs. I had the granadilla and chocolate chip and my husband had the 65% chocolate. Unique but fantastic combinations. The set-up feels like beverly hills 90210 for some reason.
Courtney Stanbury
Fabulous food, gorgeous place, and a lovely view at sunset! Had the hot cookie, goofy choc chip cookie with coffee ice cream. The combo is brillient, and the flavours compliment in a wonderful way. Lovely little restaurant.
Georgia East
A quiet weekday visit to the Mouille Point branch of The Creamery, smiling friendly staff, a simple yet alluring menu and a warm cookie topped with two scoops of heaven (Peanut Butter and Sea Salt Caramel). I love the fact that you can opt for half-half scoops so as to better combine flavours such as Limpopo Black Tea, Sweet Cream and Rosetta Coffee. The pastel mint-hued interiors and marbled counter offer a deliciously unique take on the retro ice cream parlour that's just a road away from the ocean.

They also offer takeaway tubs of Creamery confectionary for you to enjoy at home and I've been told by a friend that their Banana Split with a scoop of Sweet Cream flavour and a topping of Toasted Marshmallows is happiness in a bowl.

I really don't have to say any more than that. A fantastic little spot for an anytime treat!
Kashma
Definitely the best ice cream in CT! Creamy and rich.
We tried the coffee, granadilla choc chip and peanut butter. Peanut butter my fav! Definitely worth popping by for a treat!
Chantelle Lamusse
Dropped in for a nice ice cream on a warm summers day! The que was insane... Popular which is awesome. I found it to be on the sweet side. I opted to try the ooey chocolate cookie with sweet cream flavored ice cream. Cookie way too sweet and the ice cream average. Need to try and maybe the other flavors are better.
St John Grimbly
Yum. The creamery is one for those places everyone has to try, considering the vast amount of good things you are bound to hear about them. I ordered Sea Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter Cup ice cream - both were delicious. The ice cream here has a uniquely intense aspect of flavour which is not overpowered by the base of the ice cream. The Sweet Cream was absolutely delicious, and is one of those flavours you just have to try. I look forward to coming back to try out their other interesting flavours... "Christmas Spice" 🤔. I shall be leaving some room for improvement until I come back for their cookies ;)
Karlien Meyer
So Yummmmmy! 🍌🍫🍪🍨🍦 Creative, exciting flavours, friendly staff, generosity and quality ice cream. Can't wait to see the summer flavours... Might find some jasmine or carrot cake on the menu again? 😛
Stacey Norsworthy
Great spot for an ice-cream.Absolutely loved the orange rosemary and honey flavour-hit the nail on the head. The range of toppings and cookie options are great. They also offer a half/half option if you can't decide which flavour to get but only want 1 scoop👍🏼
JotterJo
Having received a voucher, I Had to try another branch.

We were warmly welcomed and offered a tasting of some of their new flavours before making our decision. The black sesame was a very interesting flavour! Most unusual and quite nice really.

My go-to comfort flavours are caramel or peanut butter. I decided on the latter in a cone with chocolate sauce and shortbread crumbs. Delicious!

Hubby had the waffle (which was made perfectly this time) with malt ice cream. It's similar to Horlicks. He enjoyed that one. Yes, we'll be back for sure.

BigJoe
Dineo Mnisi
Ultimate favourite is the sea salt caramel but after trying the Limpopo tea I might have a new go to flavour. I also tried the ooy goey cookie with those two flavour. Overall a good vibe

The black sesame was overwhelming, it's probably great if you like sesame otherwise no.

Best time to go have ice-cream is after 6. The place is not crowded and perfect for a quick evening dessert treat.
BeeBum De A
The most incredible peanut butter ice cream I have ever had! Actually, peanut butter anything.
The tiramisu was a total fail.
Chocolate is usually always a winner.
Aaaand I can't remember the fourth flavour we had...
Tasted the Chai and didn't take it, I love it spicy, but it just wasn't working.
Service could be improved 👌
Christine
The creamery in Mouille Point is my absolutely favourite ice-cream spot, the staff are super friendly and ready to help you try every flavour you want. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten that sudden creamery craving and rocked up there at 10pm or just before closing and they're been happy to get me whatever I want with a smile.

You guys are superb, and the ice-cream? Well it's easily the best in Cape Town for me, the constantly changing flavours, the delicious banana ganache and peanut butter! damn guys, keep it up.
Elize Cloete
awesome vibe with exciting flavours

Can I suggest the salted caramel though everything looks delicious

To be enjoyed on the promenade on a long summers day
Iman Bawa
I've been wanting to try their cookie that they service with ice cream for a while now so was super excited when we went the other evening. I had the gooey chic chip cookie with coffee ice cream and marshmallow topping. At first absolutely delicious but it becomes overly sweet when you about half way in so I suggest you share with some one
Nicole Zetler Shapiro
Felt like some great ice cream and that's exactly what I got.

Staff were helpful and willing to let me try a few samples before I chose my favorite. Decided on peanut butter flavour which was great, but the texture could have been smoother.

Overall really delicious ice cream - but a little on the pricey side. There is also a better brand of artisanal ice cream in Joburg with some more exciting flavours.
Tiyaarah Cloete
We decided to go to the creamery last night (couldn't find it at first thanks to apple maps). Iman and I decided on the gooey chocolate cookie with marshmallow topping, accompanied by coffee ice cream for Iman and peanut butter for me. Waseem had the rooibos chai ice cream it was delicious. The dessert over all was pretty good, albeit a bit sweet for me.
Suchismita Simhadri
Loved the ice cream . Tried their double scoop sea salt caramel ice cream . It was yummy. Service is OK . Cute little place to go grab one .
Danieljake
Love this outlet. Perfect distance between the beach/promenade and the Greenpoint park. Staff were super friendly as usual. Today we tried the 'hot cookies which are unique to this outlet'. An interesting combination but not quite as delightful as the waffles offered at the Newlands outlet, although they certainly satisfied my sweet tooth. I had the 'ooey gooey choc chip cookie' topped with a scoop of 'cara cara' and my friend chose the 'soft baked vanilla cookie with raspberries' topped with a scoop of 'Rosetta Roastery'.
Emma Bowen
Such a great spot to hang out. Loved my ooey gooey cookie topped with sea salt caramel- a great Sunday afternoon treat! Will definitely be coming back to try out the other cookie flavors which looked yum!
Zanel
A dessert spot open till late. My friend and I shared the chocolate chip cookie with salted caramel and chocolate ice cream. Big enough for both of us, but the cookie was a bit to sweet. I prefer the waffles which this branch sadly don't offer. Will always be back though for ice cream.
Simone Sandak-Lewin
Can you please open a Creamery in Big Bay!!!?? We need ice cream love over here!
Joash Narainsamy
If you like curious and inventive ice cream, you'll love this spot. Had the ginger & kumquat and cream cheese ice cream on top of a chocolate chip cookie. Both ice creams boasted bold flavours, with the ginger tasting truly authentic and possibly infused. Downside was a fatty aftertaste of the ice cream and the cookie being crisp rather than cakey, which is my expectation in this presentation format.
Andy Walker
Obviously the ice cream is amazing. The new carrot cake flavour is a beautiful thing too. But the Greenpoint branch doesn't serve waffles. It also has limited seating space in what is probably their smallest branch.
Kev0's Food Adventures!
The flavours are amazing from popcorn to coffee def worth a try, they also have waffles and a cookie based option, the coffee is also really good!
Bronwyn Esterhuizen
Need I say more about the deliciousness that is The Creamery? Absolute heaven in a cup. I love the butteryness of the ice cream and the inventive flavours that change seasonally. Definitely must try.
Azele Anne Naicker
Difficult to find this branch of the creamery, it's small and quite cozy. The cookies are exclusively made for this branch. The chocolate chip was delicious and rich. It's quite sweet but when paired with the chocolate ice cream is perfect. A good dessert to share if you're going after dinner. Service was on point here as well!
Chanel Candice Daniels
The Creamery is a cute and quirky new twist to a ice cream palour. The cute interior and friendly staff makes this establishment so much more exciting. The menu is simple and not overwhelming. I like that they only make a few flavours a day making it easier to focus on quality 👌. I had the 65% chocolate and lemon curd swirl flavour🍦. The location for The Creamery is perfect, enjoy some ice cream while taking a stroll along seapoint pavilion or through Greenpoint park.
Jenny Sarah Coulson
As with all Creamery stores, this one is amazing. I can't get enough of their incredible ice cream! Finally popped in to the Mouille point branch for a "half n half" scoop of granadilla and lemon cheesecake. LIFE. CHANGED. Both are my new favourite flavours. Sweet yet tart, and perfectly creamy. Loved the shortbread chunks in the lemon cheesecake. It was packed, but we received excellent service and I love the decor of this branch. I'll be back for the skillet cookies!
Vishal Mistry
My wife's cousin has been raving about the creamery so we decided to give it a try after dinner last night. Being such a fan of ice cream I had high expectations. The creamery didn't disappoint in the slightest. I ordered a single scooped cone with half roseta roastery coffee flavour, and sweet cream as the other half. It actually then works out to 2 scoops for the price of one. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and full of their respective flavours. Some of the best ice cream I have ever eaten. It's just a whole lot of yumminess!
Deelan
Probably my 50th or so visit to this franchise and it is yet to disappoint me! I always have a taste of the flavour of the month but still end up ordering my usual half and half of Sweet Cream and Rosetta roastery coffee in a cone. Definitely my favourite ice cream in Cape Town.
Sumendra Chetty
This little spot is in one of the loveliest areas I know- mouille point. While sitting down and chatting to friends is an option, I prefer getting a takeaway and strolling along the promenade! The staff are super friendly and helpful (how do you choose from all these flavors?!) the sea salt caramel was lovely!
SquatForPancakes
Creamery is the best spot to have a late night treat and has the best vibe to hang out with friends. The staff are always friendly and try to help you as best as they can.

This was the first time I had the cookie and it was amazing! Would definitely recommend sharing with someone as it is HUGE!

I would also recommend to creamery to make a nit free option as my friend is allergic to nuts and she couldn't try the cookies 😔 also, living in the world we living now, gluten free options would also be a nice to have.

Thank you Creamery for always being there for be ❤️
Minowrahvw
The very first time I tried their hot cookie (chocolate chip) and I must say it was absolutely Devine! Paired with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream and it satisfied all cravings and left me coming back for more! Service was great and the scenery upon leaving is to die for (sunset in green point). A definite must try!
Glen Hunt
ICE CREAM!! I scream for ice cream!! He he he. When does ice cream not rock. When it's not from The Creamery!! I totally love their ice cream. It's the type of thing that brings me back to my childhood.

They have all different flavors of coffee, peanut butter, salted caramel, 65% chocolate...
Sharese Hunt
Tucked away just off the Beach Road, this place is perfectly situated overlooking the ocean or to take a walk along the promenade with an ice cream in the hand.

The seating area is quite small but this place has a great ambiance with a wide window and you can hear and smell the ocean.

The ice cream is good with excellent flavours and you can choose for a scoop or two served in a cup or cone. Flavours are: Peanut, Sweet Cream, Malted Milk, Blackberry Cheesecake, Rosetta Roastery Coffee, Sea Salt Caramel, 65% Chocolate , only but to name a few.

They also have three types of cookies, which are baked while one is there, and are served with a generous scoop of ice cream. The cookie choice is Ooey Gooey Choc Chip, Double Peanut Butter Swirl, and Soft-baked vanilla with raspberry.

A take-away fridge is filled with 500ml containers to take home to enjoy. Service is friendly and efficient.

I was given a creamery dessert voucher and it was the best present. We grabbed our desserts and headed to the urban park which is right next door. Was great to eat warm dessert while sitting in the Cape Town sun. I got the chocolate chip biscuit with caramel and chocolate ice cream. It was delicious. Really delicious. Warm gooey biscuit with home made ice cream. Heaven. I love trying their flavor of the month and this is definitely my favorite branch
Lisa Gabriella Jasmine Strovall-Harf
Awesome place to go when you want to satisfy that sweet tooth or after a long hot day on the beach! The ice cream flavours are to die for and they have some very original and seasonal flavours-always creating new concoctions! The staff were very sweet and friendly and allowed us tasters of almost all the flavours before we chose our final combinations!
The Foodie Corner
What can beat a late night ice cream craving better than a stop at the Creamery? I've been to the one in Newlands, which appears to be "the ultimate" one. So take note that this review was written bearing in mind my previous experience at the Newlands branch.

They have awesome ice cream, you can't fault that. Although it's on the expensive side, the unique flavors, delicious, fresh, homemade taste and generous scoops make up for it. In addition, I love that they allow you to taste before you pick your flavors. I had the dark chocolate and hot cross bun flavors. I've had the chocolate before and am definitely hooked! It's very rich though, so it's not for the faint hearted. The hot cross bun flavor was something totally different and very original, I've never experienced something quite like it! It made me think of cozy nights by the fire and festive Christmas eves.

Service was alright, but I think the staff are more capable at the Newlands branch.

I have yet to try their famous cookies, but shall return to sample it - perhaps on an emptier stomach!
Naeemah Ajam
Favourite chill spot on a Friday evening after work. The atmosphere is chilled, friendly staff (sometimes they're a bit too playful because they'll forget your order lol its no biggy though) and a yummy dessert menu. It's a bit small so sometimes it can get a bit cramped up while waiting to order some deliciousness (it's worth the wait, trust me!). I would recommend the hot chocolate chip cookie with sweet cream ice cream and toasted marshmallow fluff if you have a sweet tooth 😉 The prices aren't too bad either. I think their prices are reasonable because the quality of their items on the menu are good quality.

By far the best flavored ice cream (that actually tastes like the ACTUAL flavour). I always go there with my girlfriend and we always leave with massive smiles covered with icecream. I love the idea of a flavour of the month. You only get to know it once you go there. Also... The peanut butter flavour is amazing! #peanutbutterlover definitely 10/10

Best artisan ice cream shop in the area! To die for flavours. Sometimes extravagant sounding flavours but definitely worth the taste.

Perfectly located for a sneaky treat after a walk/cycle/run on the promenade or park day out.

The Creamery is any ice cream lovers dream come true. With an assortment of flavors so wildly imaginative, choosing your ice cream will be the most difficult part of your trip. Unlike their Newlands and Salt River sister stores, the Green Point branch don't serve waffles. Instead, they created the magical cookie and ice cream combination. Think gigantic, goey chocolate chip cookies topped with vanilla and cherry artisan ice cream. Absolutely heavenly.

The cookie with ice cream is a must try! I chose the vanilla cookie with berry ice cream but everyone I went with had different combinations which was nice to try. The staff were really helpful and allowed us to taste as many of the ice creams as we liked! I also loved that there is a station were you can get water. After such a sweet treat, the water was so necessary!

The creamery has been on my bucket list for a while now. So I decided to spoil myself after starting my new job.
I had the 65% chocolate ice cream. And wow! So delish! The staff was super friendly, encouraging me to try the flavors until I gave into my choc craving.
I love the decor, so simple, yet so quant.
Seeing that they are located a stones through from my flat, I will be returning very soon.

Excellent ice creams flavours!!! Love the hot cookie combo!! Rated only 3 as I didn't enjoy the service. Staff seemed more interested in personal conversations. My fellow patrons had finished thier scoops before I had even recieved my cookie combo. The store itself is a little hidden off beach road, but I kind of like that. Great coffee!! Would definitely recommend the creamery!! Personally, I would go to another branch next time.

Found this place while on a run along sea point promenade. Bad health idea but great coffee and ice cream. I am not an cream fan but decided to try a hot cookie after seeing some of the others in the store. I got the salted caramel and raspberry chocolate on vanilla and raspberry cookie. It was fantastic with the raspberry chocolate being my fav. Will definitely go back to sample the other flavours.
Updated (14 May 2016): Still awesome. Tried the coffee ice cream this time.

By far the best ice cream I have tasted in a looong while. 😍😍 keen to try the other flavors (i had the peanut butter and my boyfriend the sea salt caramel) 🍦

It's a late-night ice-cream place in the best neighbourhood in the city, of course you want to go here. Good coffee, great staff, excellent treats.

Yum yum your late night munchie "I want some ice cream" place. Came here after a lovley dinner in bantry bay to wash down the thai food.

Got some salted caramel and birthday cake flavour scoops. The scoops are pretty massive yay! Slated caramal flavour was awesome, birthday cake also alright but quite filling and heavy.

Pop in for a spontaneous adventure!

The first time I tried the creamery ice cream was from the outlet in Woodstock and I was blown away. We went to green point creamery a few nights ago, firstly the peeps behind the counter weren't to enthusiastic about working. I chose the malted milk and sweet cream flavours , the malted milk was good but the ice cream tasted like any other ice cream, not how I remembered it :(

While they don't serves the famous waffles at this branch there is a soft-baked cookie selection that more than compensates for any FOMO you might have. Apart from a few hiccups with our order it's awesome. The sea-salt caramel milkshake is 100% endorsed by me.

The Moullie Point branch has to be measured against the Newlands original - and on that score there is some work to do. The service did not seem to be as sharp and there is not enough seating (like Newlands initially was). It was also disappointing that waffles were not on the menu.

That said, this is still The Creamery, so there is excellent coffee and their usual ice-cream, which I really enjoy! Their flavours deliver on what they are, not just a sugar overload. I'll be back!

Went to The Creamery in Sea Point this afternoon. Had an amazing blackberry cheesecake ice cream which was super yummy. Staff unfortunately were not the most helpful/friendly. Love The Creamery though, so will definitely come again.

I was left quite disappointed with my visit to the creamery which I had been looking forward to for so long.

I had the salted caramel and black cherry and chocolate flavours which were nice but nothing amazing.

What I was really looking forward to though was the baked to order cookie at the Creamery however this also left me disappointed as it was really dry and flaky.

The store offers quite a nice vibe however there are other ice cream shops I would quickly go back to before going back to the Creamery.

I had heard some really great things about this place so I was super exited to try it, especially because I loooove good ice-cream. I found their lack of choice quite disappointing, I was also hoping for some more original flavours from an 'artisanal' ice-cream shop. I chose the two more exciting flavours on offer that day, malted mile and sweet cream. Both were good, nothing great or worthy of the praise they seem to get and it seems all of the offerings are more icey than creamy, which is disappointing for a place called The Creamery. Their ice-creams are slightly crystallized (I tried 4 or 5 different flavours) and none if the smooth, creamy texture that I look for in a good ice-cream. This place is fine for an average ice-cream on a hot summers day, but let's just say that I won't easily go out of my way to visit again.

Very average selection of flavours, my major gripe was the ice cream was more icey than creamy, not sure what all the hype and fuss is about. Very disappointed considering the cult status of this place. We tried the nectarine flavour as well as the sweet cream and malted milk flavour, all of them were just pretty average.

I am overjoyed that they have opened another one of these in Green Point! If Ice-cream is your thing, then The Creamery is the only place for it, my ice cream of choice is their delicious Peanut Butter flavour but you really can't go wrong with whatever you get!

This particular branch gives you the option of getting your scoops with a big warm cookie, and I must say that is next on my list!

The brand new space also looks lovely, with soft pastel palette and loads of natural light it's everything you want from a seaside ice cream parlour.

Thank goodness this branch in Mouille Point has finally opened! It's tucked away so you'll miss it if you blink twice.
The interior is quaint and lovely. And they have all the flavours like the other branches. The staff are always so friendly, and encourage you to taste as many as you'd lije before buying which is great!
A single scoop costs R34, but its a generous portion and SO worth it. Don't forget to pick up a loyalty card.
I'm a big fan of the peanut butter, but i opted for the pistachio, my oh my so good! The birthday cake flavour of November was delish, can't wait to see what December's is...
I'll be spending a lot of time hereover the summer for sure!

At first I was a bit disappointed that they don't offer the Belgian waffles but the hot cookies with ice cream were actually very nice. I opted for the peanut butter cookie with the toasted coconut ice cream and it was the right balance of sweetness. It is very rich though so you might not be able to finish it. Will definitely be popping in when I'm at greenpoint park since they're right there.
