You’d think ice cream would melt if you ordered it online? Well, they have a magical way of avoiding this. Still can’t figure out their method but it’s amazing! We ordered an ice cream sandwich, the classic combo with an extra shot of Bar one (nice touch with the syringe) and two rainbow cookies and one brownie. All of it was amazing. Seriously impressed with the packaging, zero plastic too!

The Nutella syringe is definitely my favorite thing ever.
I’d been wanting to go since last year and I’m so glad I did! The ice-cream cookie sandwich was everything I imagined it would be. I opted for the chocolate-chip and vanilla classic combo, but also loved the salted caramel and cookie ice-cream. The rainbow cookie was great too, although I’d stay away from the red velvet cookie and very minty ice-cream. It isn’t the cheapest treat but the portion is quite big and will definitely fulfill a sugar craving. The only let down was the service, as the lady was unfriendly and displayed no excitement.

Recently, I had the Kinder Beuno flavoured ice cream wedged between a brownie cookie and rainbow cookie. The rainbow cookie is an all time favourite of mine and the Kinder Beuno flavoured ice cream is fantastic with its rich hazelnut taste. The brownie cookie was quite grainy but it was very chocolatey so it got some extra brownie points (excuse the pun).
This ice cream shop has a great vibe to it with the colourful theme and playful, laid back setting inside. It even has a swing to sit on and enjoy while eating your ice cream. Great place for some great ice cream, cookies, hot chocolate and memories.
Very nice cookie sandwhiches, I got the nutella/chocolate wedged between peanut butter and a brownie biscuit! Delicious but too much sugar in one go . Next up will be COOKIES & CREAM

Their ice cream was creamy and well flavored. I love that both the ice cream and cookies weren't overly sweet.
I tried the ice cream sandwich with the white chocolate rainbow ice cream sandwiched between the chocolate brownie cookie and the milk tart cookie. The milk tart cookie was delish! It had a lovely cinnamon crunch and paired nicely with the creamy chocolate ice cream. The brownie cookie was just a little too bitter for my liking, perhaps it would go better with another ice cream flavour.
Pop in to Crumbs and Cream! Despite the Instagram tricks, their sweet confection is fabulous!

My first time trying out crumbs and cream. Very impressed with the ice cream, I recommend the chocolate hazelnut👌🏽. For the cookies, I chose an Oreo cookie and a brownie cookie. Cookies were nice, my friend had the brownie(not the cookie brownie) and she said that was really good. The actual size is actually smaller than what the pictures show. Overall: a nice, good value for money place to go to for dessert.
Comfortable and warm setting and a friendly atmosphere. Great quality food along with great prices. A bonus is the nearby beach which is a great place to enjoy your eats. Highly recommend to all.

The ice cream and cookie was delicious but I was not informed that the toppings are extra. It's already quite pricey. The staff needs to inform the customers that toppings are extra and not just ask them if they also want a topping.
I really loved the Crumbs & Cream in Seapoint. The staff were friendly, my waffle ice cream Sandwich was HUGE! Warm chocolate waffle deliciousness with sweet strawberry cheesecake ice cream...dripping in fresh cream and chocolate fudge sundae sauce!!!! YES please I'll have another! Thank You guys for an awesome Sunday afternoon treat!
So Crumbs and Cream has been on top of my to-do list every time I come down to Cape Town, and I finally managed to make a trip to Sea Point to try some creamy deliciousness!
The venue is bright and quirky, just a pity they're not right on the beach front. You get to choose your cookies, and can mix and match if you want. I got a Brownie and Choc Chip cookie mix with a chocolate ice cream filling. The cookies were quite dense and deliciously held in the yummy ice cream, it was so chocolatey and amazing! My boyfriend got a Milktart cookie and Caramel ice cream mixture, and while the biscuits were a bit more crumbly the flavours were amazing!
The price is a bit steep at nearly R40 a pop, but as a once off treat it's worth it. So glad I finally got to go, and I just found out they've opened a branch in Joburg so I'll definitely be stopping by there sometime soon!
Visiting Crumbs and Cream is just such a fun experience! Who wouldn't enjoy picking flavours for cookies AND ice cream and then eating a sandwich that isn't avocado on rye? The idea of an ice-cream sandwich is great and it just taste so good! The store in Sea Point is a little small but they have the most variety in flavours compared to the pop-up stalls. The actual cookies are the perfect texture: soft and chewy which goes perfectly with the ice cream. I always pick two different cookies with my favourite classic combo being the chocolate chip cookie + chocolate ice cream + brownie cookie. Their Oreo cookie was a little disappointing but otherwise still good. I would definitely recommend grabbing an ice cream sandwich and taking a relaxing walk along the promenade.

The aroma I got entering the store was mouthwatering :) They had a huge variety of ice cream and toppings (not so many cookies but that's understable as we went there on a weekday). The gentleman that assisted us was helpful & friendly. And the dessert was Amazing! Will definitely go there again

I'd wish that their cookies were more crunchy than soft, but all in all this is a good place if you crave ice cream sandwiches! The service is great and you have various opportunities of cookies, sprinkles, flavors, etc. So good on a hot summer day!
Delicious. Had the nutella ice cream between an Oreo and some other biscuit which was insanely good. Didn't actually go there but ordered off uber eats and it came in about 20 minutes which is really great as well.
Whenever I'm in the Seapoint vicinity, I'll pop in here. The staff are AMAZING. So friendly and upbeat. Some cookies can be very soft (not in the good way) but their Oreo cookie is always on point. Not the best ice cream, but consistently decent. Good variety of ice cream and cookies.
Had an eccentric but delicious combination: red velvet and churro cookies with Turkish delight ice cream. It was exquisite. I'd strongly recommend it to those looking for an adventurous flavour experience.

I definitely felt a bit old to be at crumbs and cream but it was a fun (and tasty) experience. The cookie selection was great and it was quite hard to chose but I opted for a cinnamon cookie and a vegan raspberry ice cream. It was fun, but I can't say I'll be rushing back, maybe I'm just old school and like my ice cream in a cone too much ;)

The cookies are freshly baked each day and they have banting and gluten free options for those who may be so inclined. The ice cream is yum and the cookies are perfectly baked. You get to choose your own flavor of cookie, ice cream, toppings and spreads which kind of makes you the architect of your own indulgence. Truly ingenious invention. Loved it and the staff are friendly and give great service to boot!
We've seen Crumbs and Cream vendors at various places, but the first time we decided to try it was at their store. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They seem to know their product well and can provide suggestions to their many combinations. We decided to try the chocolate ice cream sandwiched between a special cookie (which was peanut butter) and the pretzel cookie. The ice cream and cookies individually were nothing special, but the combination of the two was scrumptious. The cookies were baked perfectly and weren't too hard, but still crunchy, with the right amount of chewiness to be able to hold the ice cream firmly. The chocolate ice cream was dense and had more of a dark chocolate concentration of cocoa with just enough sweetness to complete the delicious dessert. A yummy treat for a cookie and ice cream craving!

We have been drooling since we got the press release of the new treats available at Crumbs and Cream! And it is perfect timing just in time for the summer season. If you do not know already, Crumbs and Cream has taken ice cream to a new level, pairing it with a freshly baked cookie (hence the name Crumbs in their name). Normally you can choose which cookie to pair with your ice cream of choice, but their new summer treats are already paired and sound AMAZING!
After a walk on the Promenade last night we popped into crumbs and cream for the first time. I expected a bigger store with more seating. I had the choc chip and brownie biscuits with the "special" ice cream. It tasted really really good. However it is quite a messy thing to eat. My wife and daughter loved it so we will definitely return.

I've been to the stands at Cavendish and the V&A before coming here. While the store is cute and smells delightfully like freshly baking cookies the music was a bit too loud to have a nice conversation. The quality of the ice cream and the cookies is great and the staff are always friendly
Having seen the queues every weekend l decided to go through during the week to see for myself what all the buzz was about. The bonus was that l found a parking easily and did not have to stand in a queue.
I expected cupcakes for some reason so biscuits were a little disappointing. However they tasted good and the concept although simple, is nice. The ice cream itself lacked the x factor.
Not sure that l would go back....certainly never to queue. It certainly does draw the crowds so kudos to them.

I'll admit - I'm very biased when it comes to ANYTHING ice cream-related. I don't have a sweet tooth, but ice cream is my absolute favourite. I tried the cafe latte ice cream with the oreo cookies and it was such a nice treat. The shop itself was also very cute and the staff are friendly. Was it the best ice cream and best cookies I've ever had? No. But would I go back? Any time!

Didn't believe in the hype at first but after months of hearing about it I finally decided to go to Crumbs & Cream. There was a queue outside which I did not expect but it was all worth it. The guys working there are extremely vibrant and friendly which makes the process of building an ice cream sandwich x10 more fun. They have a variety of cookies and ice creams to choose from, I went with the Oreo cookie and a brownie cookie and the Cookies ice cream which I would definitely recommend. This is the place for all those with a sweet tooth!

Now we first went Friday night after dinner as we were in the city. At 7pm, the place was practically empty. The next day we went back and there was a line out the door. Amazing!!
What I like is that you get to pick your 2 cookies. Swap them out, go crazy!! Choose your spread on the cookie, it's extra R5 but what the heck! Then add your ice cream from the half dozen flavors.
If you want to be extra fancy, add some toppings. (Extra again!).
The guys there are very friendly and energetic. So this place is cool to get some ice cream and enjoy!
It has been three days since I had my first ice-cream sandwich and I'm seriously craving my next one. This tiny desert bar is stuffed with flavour. When I walked in I was overwhelmed by the sweet smell and colourful display. Chosing a flavour was a challenge. I want them all!

It was a very hot winters day in Cape Town, so my boyfriend and I decided to go for a walk at the Promenade and then try some Crumbs and Cream. The place was packed, which is understandable due to it being such a beautiful day. It was so hot and stuffy inside the store, some aircons could definitely be used to cool down the place a little bit.
The staff was so friendly and so willing to help us, as it was our first time there. They explained everything to us so nicely. They were so energetic and making jokes with us, also chatting with us while we were standing in the queue.
The price of the ice cream sandwiches are really not that bad, very reasonable.
I would just say that maybe I expected much more from everything. The cookies as well as the ice cream tasted amazing, but it is not that wow. I am glad that I had the experience and went there, but I would not be back again.
The sea point store has such a funky and laid back vibe to it. Definitely much better than just getting your ice cream from a cart (waterfront). Its proximity to the ocean is also a bonus for those sunset walks along the promenade with an ice cream sandwich in hand :)
this was my second time having crumbs and cream and found that the cookie and portion sizes of the ice cream was much bigger here than at the Waterfront. They also had a bigger variety of toppings and drinks to order I had a blue choc chip ice cream that changed my life with a choc chip and brownie cookie
The benches by the window are extremely comfy and the pink indoor swings were so much fun!! :) the only negative i had was that by 5 pm the white floor was impossibly dirty and sticky and none of the staff had seemed to notice it.

It's a small shop that you can miss easily if you aren't paying attention, but inside there is a selection of all different flavours of cookies, ice cream and toppings. It truly is delicious and exciting with the friendly server waking you step by step through the process. It's a little bit unpractical because if the ice cream melts before you can finish, you're in for a messy time. But your taste buds will enjoy it at least!

A nice Sunny day in capetown to try out crumbs and cream. Couldn't believe how long the line was. Although it was quite noisy inside the guys working there were very helpful and friendly considering how busy it was. I found the icecream to be lacking abit in flavour. The cookies are very rich and filling. So happy i finally got to try it!
Crumbs and cream is delicious food that will make you want to run back and get another handful. The biscuits are perfectly firm yet chewable but doesn't become mush when the Ice-cream melts. And the ice-cream is to die for with the perfect amount of flavors in one scoop. However, the service was slow and not friendly. The men behind the counter looked bored and unhappy. They move and walk slow and use little to no Nutella on the spreads but, what I got is definitely what I came for
First time I have ever eaten an ice cream sandwhich, and it was a total treat! Friendly staff and such a cool atmosphere and vibe in this little place. They also let you taste all of the ice cream flavours before you decide which one to make your sandwhich out of, there were even banting cookie options and specialty options for R5 extra. For the amount you get, i think the price is quite decent too!
The shop in sea point is beautiful to look at. It was quite busy when I paid them a visit but service was good and the line went quickly. I had the chocolate cookies which were soft and chewy paired with the sugar free chocolate ice cream. The ice cream was a real star and was creamy and light. The cookies are really sweet though, you'll have a bit of a sugar rush afterwards.
I went for the banting option which was out-of-this-world-good. The cookies were soft and moist and the sugar-free chocolate ice-cream was bang-on! Full of flavour, rich and creamy and way better than any other sugary ice-cream I’ve ever tasted. The Lop went for chocolate brownie cookies and caramel crunch ice-cream and he managed to mumble a few hmm-hmms in between smashing it down. We loved that we were able to pick up our ice-cream sarmies and enjoy them while strolling along the promenade. It felt like we were on holiday and that’s always a win-win in our book.
I finally did it! I finally tried Crumbs and Cream. And it was delicious. I got one "special cookie" (which had peanut butter in it) and one choc chip cookie (my fave of the two.) And then I smashed choc chip cookie dough ice cream in the centre and sprinkled vanilla fudge all over it. It was decadently delicious. Definitely too big for one person though... I couldn't finish it. It's a once-a-year treat for sure.

After reading all the hype raving about how absolutely yummy Crumbs and Cream is, the first thing I did when I landed in Cape Town was pay the Crumbs and Cream ice cream truck at the Watershed Market (at the V&A Waterfront) a visit. I’m not one to follow the crowds, but if it’s something that will satisfy the biggest sweet tooth, I am there like a bear.
Once you find the cute ice cream truck, the first thing you do is climb two little stairs so you can peak your head inside and choose what cookies, gelato ice cream and toppings you want. These kinds of things make me so excited, and I start to act like a kid in a candy store. The cookie flavours range from peanut butter, Oreo, choc chip and butter, to brownies and candy crush. The ice cream flavours range from chocolate, mint choc chip, caramel fudge, and rum and raisin to Snickers. You then choose from a bunch of toppings, and voila! you have created an ice cream sandwich that looks too good to eat!
After hmmm’ing and aaaah’ing for a good ten minutes we decided on choc chip cookies and choc mint ice cream and Snickers ice cream. When you are so spoilt for your choice you decide on the simplest combinations but the yummiest ones too.
I am such a lover of ice cream sandwiches so I was excited when I heard about Crumbs and Cream. There service was fantastic, the general ambience is lively and fun.
You get to pick your cookies and ice cream combo which is fun. The cookies are not too hard which is good. It can get a bit sweet toward the end though. Overall, worth a try for something different and fun.

To end off our Sunday, we stopped at the famous Crumbs and Cream. Dario had the all chocolate everything option, which was brownie cookies with chocolate ice cream and I had vanilla ice cream sandwiched between a choc chip and Oreo cookie. Although it was tasty, the portion was too big for me, and I think next time, we would be better off sharing one. If we can agree on flavours 🍦🍩🍪
The experience was good. The shop is small though and quite warm due to the ovens probably. Overall loved the concept of 2 cookies and then the ice cream in the middle. I enjoyed my ice cream sandwich and it's nice they cater for vegans and have banking cookies. The staff are friendly and explain the procedure to you are are helpful.
Second time visiting crumbs and cream in the space of a few months, and it was good to see that the ice cream flavours have almost all changed! While novelty is the stores main selling point, the ever changing flavours/combinations keep the customer intrigued over the long run.
Good service, friendly staff and they make a decent cup of coffee. It is a bit pricey, but this is expected. Only concern is sitting on the swing in-store, it's very slippery! Almost met my maker on more than one occasion!
I went to see what the hype was all about. I have read many mixed reviews and I wasn't wowed nor was I disappointed. Nice ice cream, nice biscuits. It is what it is. It would be nice if they offered half portions as I ended up throwing half away as the portion is quite big. It was a nice experience.
I am a cookie and an ice cream lover; and when I heard about a place that serves two of my favorite desserts together I could not wait. Must say, it is yummy and the place it self is great; cute, clean and the lads working behind the till are always full of energy. There is a choice of cookies and ice creams; not a large one but a worthy one nonetheless. The only thing is that it needs to be eaten quickly otherwise it turns in to a mess! And don't get big cookies, because otherwise your ice cream cookie sandwich will be too big to finish in time;) in conclusion, to me it's worth every penny! Go and enjoy it.

Just off the beach, it's also a handy location. Had the French vanilla ice cream with two Oreo style biscuits. The ice cream is great. The biscuits are a little sweet but awesome crunchy-gooey texture. The dulce leche was perfectly balanced. The swing was fun - see in store 🙂🙂🙂

You cannot go wrong with ice cream or cookies, but combined they're even better! I loved my Crumbs and Cream experience. It's difficult to get a good ice cream sandwich. Usually the cookies are too hard, but Crumbs and Cream have perfected their cookie texture so that you can enjoy a nice ice cream-cookie ratio without having to worry about all your ice cream falling out the bottom. The ice cream itself is pretty tasteless, but the cookies and additional toppings more than make up for it! If you are, however, only going for the ice cream rather go somewhere else.
You can enjoy your treat inside on cute swing chairs, or take a stroll down to the promenade and eat it there. Definitely pop in and treat yourself!

I stopped by Crumbs & Cream at a crazy 11:00 am and they were open and serving ice cream!
I'd heard about the Banting options on the menu so had to go see for myself. I had the Banting Chocolate chip cookies with a generous scoop of sugar free chocolate ice cream sandwiched in between. It was one super yummy ice cream and of course I took it round the block to enjoy on the promenade. Definitely worth a visit but word has it there are queues out the door later in the day so be prepared.
PS: there were very limited Banting options so don't expect choice, but let's face it how many ice cream shops even attempt to offer low carb options!
I mean there really are only good things to say about this place. One of the best things about them is they are open till 10pm. So if you're in the mood for a late night sweet treat they have your back. But most importantly everything they serve is delicious and it is always served with a smile
After standing in what felt like the longest queue ever I decided to try an ice cream sandwich made out of three biscuit flavours glued together with a toffee ice cream. Half and half (brownie & choc chip) paired with a candy crush cookie. While I really enjoy the idea of a gourmet ice cream sandwich with chewy biscuits and a decadent ice cream filling, I would have to say that each element is not mind-blowing on its own. The wait was way too long, they need a more efficient system in place for the high demand.
Finally made a trip to seapoint for the long weekend to get my hands on one of these babies And wow they 100% lived up to their name.. Sadly there was a que which did move fast but the best part of all was the cookies smell it made the wait so much more worth it ... They are every bit as delectable as they look and sound. I don’t think words can do these babies justice. You have to taste these to believe how scrumptious they are...

Soft cookies, rich creamy Ice cream, I mean what's not to like. The perfect bite for a summer walk at the Oceanside or quick desert after dinner.
Edit: First time to the main shop in regent road (usually hot the stand at the waterfront). Awesome space and delicious as always. This time I bought a salted caramel injection for R10 and added it to the ice cream sandwich. Game changer.
Love the swinging seats in the shop too, plenty of space to eat it there if it's cold and windy outside
Delicious ice-cream sandwich with a variety of options of both cookies and ice cream. It's also quite a big serving but quite pricey (Around R63 each). The paper packaging isn't ideal if you're a slow eater with sensitive teeth (like me). Their trading hours are super convenient for when the late night craving hits. They also have a really cute date-like table with swings as seats. Here's our order!

My inner chocolate demons were seriously satisfied by the decadent dark chocolate (happened to be vegan) ice-cream! 😋
Friendly staff and we got to sample the ice-cream flavors before we chose , I loved the chilled atmosphere and swing chairs. I had a brownie biscuit and a nutella biscuit, with real chocolate ice-cream in between . We were brought Nutella pancakes on the house which were mouthwatering , extremely happy with the service we received and would recommend Crumbs & Cream 🍦
A darling little dessert shop, that brightens up your mood upon entering.
The ice-cream is delicious and has suitable flavours for all. The operating hours is fantastic - open until 12am. The shop can become crowded, which is yay for business and nay for the consumer 😄.
However the experience of purchasing a crêpe was not great, as the crêpe was undercooked. And when purchasing any of the hot beverages, wait about 15 minutes before consuming, as the liquids are extremely hot.
The prices range is moderate.
Delicious treat after a full day of errands. The space is small but very cute and colourful. There are lots of flavours and exciting toppings to choose from when building your cookie sandwich.
Super yummy ice-cream with toppings 😋 after a nice lunch. Went with a group of friends and there was a flavour for everyone. Delicious and full of flavour. Perfect on a hot summers day. Will definitely be back!
To be honest, I didn't expect this Instagram sensation to be any good. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised!
Their ice cream was creamy and well flavored. I love that both the ice cream and cookies weren't overly sweet.
I tried the ice cream sandwich with the white chocolate rainbow ice cream sandwiched between the chocolate brownie cookie and the milk tart cookie. The milk tart cookie was delish! It had a lovely cinnamon crunch and paired nicely with the creamy chocolate ice cream. The brownie cookie was just a little too bitter for my liking, perhaps it would go better with another ice cream flavour.
Pop in to Crumbs and Cream! Despite the Instagram tricks, their sweet confection is fabulous!

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pricing wasn’t too bad, but not on the cheap side. The shop is kosher which is a big bonus.

Yummy! Cookies were fresh and selicuous and ice cream very tasty. Staff was really helpful, pleasant and kind. Will definitely go back.
First off I wouldn't say that the idea of an Ice cream cookie sandwich is dull/unoriginal, but it's also not a reason to take a roadtrip...
The experience I had was actually very pleasant. I was there on a cloudy day during the morning so I didn't have to wait in queues. The staff were very kind and conversational and the service was quick. The price might be a little expensive, but c'mon what isn't these days?
As a little side note: there are also options for Vegan cookies as well as Ice Cream so if you're one there's no need to feel excluded.
Definitely worth a try when you are nearby or passing by.

Delicious ice cream flavours, Playful shop setting,Friendly staff. I'll definitely return, however store needs more variety maybe with regards to its Ice cream flavours :)
We went here to check out what the hype was about. We wanted to also make sure it was "legal" to make a ice cream sandwiches! And Crumbs & Cream did not disappointed us one bit. You wait in line tho to be served because the space is so small and everyone wants a piece of yum. The sitting area was full but that didn't bother us as we opted to rather stroll on the beach showing off our Devine sandwiches. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys good ice cream, but who doesn't right??
