Review Jerry's Burger Bar - Cape Town Central

Burger was good, tacos were super average and dessert was yum. Service was lacking. Might be back, will see.

Had such a fun time whenever I went here. I want to sincerely thank them for giving us a enjoyable World Cup watching experience with classic bar/American food. The vibes were good and the interior and exterior design is nice. Highly recommend.

Good food overall. I liked the double cheeseburger more than the cheese stake sandwich. The meet is fresh and delicious. Fries and onion rings are very delicious and crispy. The cheese bombs were terrific! The sliders were good but one of the sliders was not that good. The atmosphere is okaish although a bit noisy, most of the staff are friendly but the waiter who served us had a weird attitude and wasn’t friendly at all. Liked the mocha too. Prices are a but more expensive compared to Cape Town restaurants but its still reasonable.

Love this place, I will always go back. Cocktails are amazing, good food & music. 10/10

Jerry’s is great. Thank you for having World Cup on t.v.(s) and having such pleasant atmosphere to watch without being in sports bar. Service both times we’ve gone has been greet. From greetings, to table service, to plate presentation, all done professionally. I love how this location has bit of everything, outdoor seating, bar seating, and dining area. Ribs are meaty and cooked perfect. Really good and generous salads and burgers. Definitely recommend and would (will) return.

An amazing place that has such an amazing atmosphere 🌍 and apparently has the oldest grape 🍇 vine in the Southern Hemisphere (see picture) The food is amazing, I had a chocolate milkshake, and my Girlfriend had waffles 🧇 they have amazing service, however it can be a slow when the place is packed full of people, but overall was an amazing time and atmosphere 😊

Really nice venue. Jerry's burgers are well known so it doesn't come as a surprise. But this venue feels special with it's open air courtyard and cozy atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and the tacos we ordered were tasty. Would recommend for a comfortable night out.

Hands down, the best ribs I've ever tasted!!! Farren served us and she was friendly, polite and prompt. The vibe was good for a Sunday and we thoroughly enjoyed the last of the Sunday Sevens rugby on the TV. Jerry's ribs will always be the benchmark by which all ribs shall be judged 👌

Good burgers. I’d recommend not spending too much time going through the menu for other food than the burgers. Had the tacos before - they were alright but not really good. The burgers, however come with nice fries/ sweet potato fries and there’s a good choice of them. The Sloth was nice, but I imagined it to be a little more spicy. Bread was a little fatty but overall it was a tasty burger.

Always a great time at Jerry’s. Love coming for Happy Hour! Ash was such a lovely waitress. She had full knowledge of the menu, great recommendations & just an all round good vibe! Absolutely love this spot. There are a few scattered around Cape Town, but the Park Road Jerry's is my favourite. Good service, tons of beers on tap, great music and vibe and the food is great. Good variety of food, mainly meat dishes, wings, burgers, ribs etc. but also a few salads and some must-try cheese bombs, not for those on a diet or special eating plan, it gets greasy and good. Gets pretty packed most days but can generally grab a table without a reservation.

Sweet potato fries for the win! If you’re going to have the Whoop chickpea burger, have it with the pepper sauce and not the mushroom sauce (unless you’re obsessed with mushrooms.) Very filling. Consider it lunch & dinner.

Cheese bombs are truly the bomb!! Burgers are fair which is their main dish. I have had better. Chicken tenders also good. Overall a 4 star for me. I will go back. Especially for the cheese bombs.

Delicious juicy Jack D burger. Fresh soft bun. Satisfying onion rings. Ice cold beer. Service was excellent!

Went for drinks with friends and while they got burgers I got a starter and a waffle (the waffle was my main reason for going!) The waffle looked great when it arrived and the waffle batter was delicious! The “ice cream” however was gross. It had a synthetic taste and when it melted it was like a foam rather than the silky way ice cream melts and I didn’t even finish the waffle because it was covered in this gross faux ice cream foam

What an awesome little place. There is a nice vibe and the food great and the menu have lots of choice. We were a big group and the service was great and everyone got their food at the same time. If you love burgers this is the best I have ever had in Cape Town

Jerry’s was one of the first places I visited when I moved to CTN, and then visited many, many more times 😉😉 Jerry’s in Gardens is my favorite by far, the food is consistently delicious and well prepared. Service is incredible and the ambiance is chilled and relaxing. Good produce, loving deep fried is always going to be delicious, my favorites are the chicken wings, the burgers 🍔 and the hot dogs, covered in melted cheese 😋😋😋😋 you can’t go wrong 😬😬😬😬 Go on...#eatlikealegend

Really enjoyed my burger! Found it to be juicy and full of Flavour. Had the wings which were very simple but really great in flavor so I enjoyed everything about my meal.

My favourite burger place in town! Back and Blue absolute fave! Love the vibe. Staff always friendly. Cocktails are very STRONG. You just need two and you're sorted. Can get busy in the evenings

Had an early dinner with family. The ribs fell off the bone - absolutely amazing. Really good burgers too and an actual kids menu! Good service and variety of craft beer on tap.

Might be the best veggie burger I’ve had at a restaurant. So delicious! Knocked down a star for the cocktails which are quite weak, loaded with ice and no flavour. Great vibe for a meal with friends

The food and service was below average. The waiter was not attentive and missed item I ordered. The drink I ordered was sent back as it did not taste the same as the drink of another person at the table and I literally watched the barman uninterested pour tonic water over and sent it back, if this was another establishment it would have a new and fresh drink made.

Great place for after work drinks , or dinner or whatever if you’re hungry and want good food and a great viibe. I ordered the Jack D burger with sweet potato fries, the burger was great and that might easily be the best burger bun I’ve had. All in all great experience.

Good spot for a quick bite, or drinks with friends. It has a good vibe, and their food is finger licking, with their Jack Daniels basting sauce the ribs and chicken are good options to try.

Jerry’s! The staple of anyone who stays in town! This place has it all 5 star burgers, hotdogs, ribs, wings, addictive chips, milkshakes, cocktails the list goes on, and you can always Sailor Jerry to kickstart your night or enjoy a great lunch with some friends!

Jerry’s has a great vibe, great setting & pretty good pub grub typa food! The burgers are really fresh and taste good. The cocktails are a bit of a let down though and the music isn’t necessarily suited for the atmosphere (think 2000’s rave music haha) <br/><br/>Overall, its a good place for casual drinks & food on a chilled night!

Wow what an amazing vibe and place to have a delicious burger ! We had the cheese balls for starters amazing! Perfect for sharing. I had the greed burger, such a delicious burger very filling couldn’t finish it. I like that we got the choice of sweet potatoe and normal potato chips ! Very social and awesome vibe

The service when we arrived was amazing, the place was full and we where seated at the bar, we requested to be moved to a table and the manager was very accommodating to the request.  however when seated the service level dropped a bit. The food is amazing and the atmosphere was great as well.

Probably one of the best burger joints in the Cape. Craft beer selection is fantastic. Service is friendly and relaxed. Burgers and the stuffed burgers are the go to on the menu for me. Menu for kids too.

The service was a bit lacking as it took a while for us to be brought menus and our drinks order to be taken. It improved slightly during the course of the evening. It has a great atmosphere and the food was great - that's the reason for a slightly better score.

Jerry's burger bar has the best food ever . I tried the double chesse burger and it was to die for. This is a place I will certainly be going to again . 💓

We came to Jerry's as one of our favourite burger places, (see previous review) we sat outside overlooking the street. There was a commotion outside with a white man (who was sitting at Jerry's) being checked by two CID officers, he went on about them being racist towards him, a few minutes went by and a CID van came up, we clearly saw a packet of cocaine and a 'drug deal handshake' with money between the hands of a CID officer and manager/waiter at Jerry's. And suddenly everyone went back in their vans and back into Jerry's restaurant. We found it disgusting that Jerry's has now become the cocaine drug house! When talking to the staff they didn't know what to tell us. Of course not going back there again.

My boyfriend loves burgers - and enjoys Jerrys a lot, however I'm personally not a fan and have been very underwhelmed each occasion I've gone. I know that Jerrys BURGER bar caters for burgers - however, I wish that they had a little more variety on the menu other than hunks of meat, salads or burgers. Because it's my boyfriends favourite meal, one caters to ones partner - but because I'm practically vegetarian, it would be great if there was more delicious options other than an expensive and underwhelming salad. <br/><br/>We also had a TERRIBLE experience with a super dwaal waitress for took our order, forgot to ring it up and then stopped working at our table and swapped tables. We sat waiting for an hour under the impression that our food was on its way, only to be informed that after that long wait... we still had to re-order. However, despite this hiccup - I was very happy and impressed with the manageress who insisted profusely that we didn't pay tip, as our service was beyond terrible haha! <br/><br/>I quite like the location, but it really depends on where you are sitter, with the level of ambience. It's a super vibey spot which is always busy and has great burgers for those who enjoy them!

I've heard many people say that this is one of the best burger places in Cape Town so finally decided to visit the infamous Jerry's burger Bar. <br/><br/>They have a decent variety on their menu with some interesting ones like the Ramen burger. And the Korean burger with Kimchi. We decided to order the Drunken Chicken, Sweet Baby Cheeses (Great Name!) and the F.A.B burgers. I tried the amazingly named Sweet Baby cheeses and found it slightly bland even though the sauce was supposed to be a spicy cheese one. Their skinny fries are quite tasty though and the portion sizes are generous. They have interesting milkshake options such as the Pina Colada and Gingerbread flavours. We ordered their Gingerbread milkshakes which were really tasty and creamy! We received decent service although the milkshakes did take a bit of time to arrive. The seating area outside was quite nice and there was a relaxed atmosphere to the place. <br/><br/>Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere was great,it didn't live up to my expectations in terms of the food but it's definitely still a decent burger joint. Great for sunny Sunday lunch or fun dinner with friends.

Great vibe for a Friday afternoon drinks with friends! Nice menu with delicious food choices! Although, margarita's should have a frozen option too ;)

Fun, festive environment. Burgers in a bar nothing really out of this world but I do really appreciate the American atmosphere and all of the cool sailor Jerry's decor. The staff seems to be really into the whole theme some of them even have sailor Jerry's tattoos

This was my first visit and it definitely lived up to the hype... Service was great! Menu is awesome - wanted to try everything... In our group we ended up having the Junkyard Dog, Gluttony Burger, Ribs, wings (spicy and bbq), and I had the Philly Steak burger. EVERYTHING was good! Ambience was was warm and casual... Everything you want in a casual night out...

Cool burger bar. The staff are friendly and attentive up until the food is served, getting the bill took a while. It gets a bit rowdy as it gets later so if that's not your thing then it's probably not the best place to go.<br/><br/>I had the after burner burger which was tasty.<br/><br/>Overall pleasant experience, I'd probably go back.

Burgers are really good, it would be definitely a higher rate but the chips have the same size and taste than the ones that you can find at McDonald's. Service needs some improvement

Went last night (19/06/2017) with my sister , service was good, but we both ended up with food poisoning. <br/><br/>I had the Afterburner burger, Cafe Latte and chicken livers (never again) and my sister had the Ramen burger with Chai tea.

The Jerry's burger bar in Gardens does not let one down. Well priced and affordable burgers and beers. There is a burger for everyone with vegetarian options. Definitely one of my favourites places to grab a quick meal.

Fuelling my obsession at Jerry's Burger Bar on Saturday night. Got the 'Jerry' burger (BBQ basted beef patty with Swiss cheese, rocket and red onion relish on a brioche bun) with sweet potato chips. Not the best picture, I know, but a burger that 100% lives up to all the hype. <br/>The restaurants ambience is relaxed but vibey, and the long bar table outside actually had a wonderfully cosmopolitan feel. Everyone there was having such a good time! <br/>Planning on eating my way through this menu!

Overall a great evening. Food was delicious. Had a highly recommended burger and it surpassed expectations. Nice crowd|vibe and the waitress was very friendly. Definitely a place to go with friends for a burger and a bottle or two. 👌🏻

These are the best burgers in Cape Town. There is always a vibe! The burgers are well presented, hot and quick. I've been there multiple times and never been disappointed. The service is good and attentive. The drinks are well priced and plentiful.

We had the Jalapeño and cheese poppers, Arugula and pear salad, and Korean burger. Everything was good. The burger was a little undercooked. I'm a big fan of kimchi, but this wasn't real kimchi. More like a cucumber salad. The outdoor dining area looked like a great spot to dine on a sunny day.

Loved it. For my first at Jerrys Burger Bar , the meals were amazing , the service and the vibes too. Nice spot for pre-drinks or a quick catch up session. It can get cold however there is a little heater and the area is enclosed. Didn't wait long for my order.

Great restaurant! <br/><br/>Met up with friends for a drink or two which turned into dinner! Shared mushrooms and onion rings as a starter, both were delicious. <br/><br/>Their burgers are amazing - especially the drunken chicken!!! Loved every bite of it. Some friends had their gourmet hotdogs which looked very nice as well. <br/><br/>Their cocktails are very yummy and I would recommend starting off with a dark and stormy or two! <br/><br/>Atmosphere is also very relaxed and laid back. I was left feeling very unimpressed with this Jerry's branch - having read all the raving reviews, what we got served at the end of the day just didn't match up to the standard I was expecting.<br/><br/>First off, the service isn't great. We literally just sat down and were then asked what we'd like to order. Having not even looked at the menu, we told out waitress to give us five minutes. She never returned and we had to place our order with whoever saw us waving our hands about.<br/><br/>The food came out quickly, but unfortunately they compromised on the quality. My chicken burger was terrible - the chicken was very dry and tough, with 3 rashers of overcooked bacon (which says a lot, because I love my bacon extra crispy). The only thing I enjoyed was the chips, which had a delicious spice on them.<br/><br/>My better half has the Sloth burger, which was very spicy and I don't think he enjoyed it as much. <br/><br/>We ended up paying R250 for two burgers and a glass of water each. Not worth it, considering that I think a McDonalds burger would've been equivalent. I left feeling full, but disappointed.

I love burgers! And I'm constantly on the hunt for good burgers! This is definitely one that I rave about all the time. A pity that they haven't opened one up in Joburg yet. I had the gluttony burger: hand made patty creating a pocket with stuffed chorizo and cheddar. Topped with feta as well

The Back 'n Blue burger from Jerry's is the best burger I have ever eaten in my existence - the brioche bun was so soft and fresh! I went there on a busy Friday night but the service was great and efficient. Great food, great beer, great atmosphere.

Lust Lucy and the Whoop Whoop Burger!! Yum to the point we couldn't finish it!! Super full super happy!! We also had the popper bombs-spicy n delicious!! Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Service was very good. Will be back for more.

Started going to Jerrys while it was still based in Obs only and the only thing that has really changed is the pricing - used to be the best place for a great light on the wallet burger but prices have since normalised at a Hudsons level price-points. That being said, totally worth it! <br/><br/>First the cons: <br/>Service is pretty Cape-Tonian, chilled and nothing to write home about. Don't expect to be checked on too regularly but it's not atrocious either. Take aways can get a little greasy/messy due to poor packaging. <br/><br/>Pros:<br/>A nice relaxed rock-bar esque ambiance with decent seating. But the real reason you'd visit Jerrys is for the burgers. And this they deliver in spades. Heading through to Jerrys one can expect a consistently positive meal experience. I don't usually get their any ups or downs (as can be expected at similar chains) regarding food quality and taste. It always hits the spot and it's always over just a little too quickly, leaving one wishing they had taken just a little bit more time before wolfing down one of the many well prepared burgers on a menu which actually provides a real variety of choice. <br/><br/>Would recommend this place with a budget of approximately R150 per head with a non-alcoholic beverage included for casual dining.

I love Jerry's!!! Well, what's not to love about it?! <br/><br/>Yummy food, delicious drinks and buzzing atmosphere...check, check and check!<br/><br/>The cheese bombs are a fantastic way to start any meal. As for your mains, we'll it's hard to choose between the amazing burgers, the ribs and the wings. I suggest pairing with someone if you want decide cause you definitely don't want to miss out on tasting as much as you can on their menu.

Phenomenonal food! Hands down one of the BEST chicken burgers ever! Drunken tequila basting 😍😍😍 the hot and spicy chicken wings as juicy and crisp! And a very fine flavoured hot dog! The iced teas are a little sweet; the service can be a bit of a rush for them when it's busy but beautiful smiles and a brilliant Cape Townian ambience with its green outdoors 👣 my only criticism is their French fries that tastes too similar to McDonald's..<br/>

Honestly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten and super fast as well for a really busy restaurant. Our waitress was also super on the ball from beginning to end. Will recommend this to anyone as my favorite burger spot in Cape Town

Massive choice of mouth watering burgers and loads of beer and drink options, you cant go wrong. Just know that the service in Cape Town is always chilled, even if restaurants are quiet. Not sure about using boxes instead of plates. Doesn't work with naked burgers. <br/><br/>PS: Burger joints really need to keep up with the growing demand of sweet potato fries from their customers.

I love the consistency with regards to quality across the Jerry's Burger Bars. Had a lovely meal, great tasting and very filling. Sat outside and heaters and blankets are also available to cater for the shaky Cape Town weather.

Jerry's is pretty cool with a cool restaurant and trendy staff although their burgers lack somewhat in flavour and the chicken patties I had today were somewhat dry. Thumbs up though to their chips and mayo.

By far the best burger joint I've come across. My go to spot when the cravings hit. The Lucy is my all time favorite, nothing beats a stuffed cheese burger.

Went to Jerry's for the first time. They clearly did not want a 4+ rating from me. We got there, got a table and the waitress told us she's not our waitress, our waiter will be with us shortly. 20+ mins later still nothing. Had to go chase after someone to come take our orders.<br/><br/>The only thing worth mentioning after the terrible service is the Milkshake, I had the Gingerbread milkshake, the best I've had by far.

Such a great vide and probably one of the best burgers I have had in a long time! I had the Frenchy with the blue cheese sauce of the side! The chips were fresh and hot and the burger was truly mouth watering! I'm really impressed- they'll be seeing me again!

Just another faux "gourmet" burger pub grub diner. Why are burgers making a huge comeback or do they offer good profit margins? Classic, unhealthy fast fat food. Casual bench dining, raucous, loud and slow! Perfect! <br/>Beer smell with the intoxicating smell of table wipe down chemicals! <br/>I would definitely go back to see their beautiful waitresses in action again, presenting your meal with a "there you go" and big smile!

I had an average burger at the Jerry's in Gardens. The food was OK. I ordered a Wrath burger with skinny chips. I was a bit disappointed as my burger was cold but still tasted ok. The service is a bit slow and none of the waitons seem to be in a rush, they actually seem very chilled out. We sat outside on the balcony which was actually quite nice. The weather was a bit cold but they had a great heating system. This is a place that is worth trying as I have received different opinions from others. I would say try it to try it but I doubt I'd go back to this franchise store again.

#2 of the burger challenge. Honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I had the pride = flavour town! Word of advice: book before you go on a weekend, can get pretty busy.

Been meaning to write this review for a while. <br/><br/>Jerry's literally never disappoints. Every single item I've ordered off their menu has 'wowed' me, except for their take on the chili popper, which was quite an anticlimax compared to other restaurants' versions. <br/><br/>Their burgers are some of the best I've ever tasted. They offer a very unique variety, and even have a burger with buns made of noodles! <br/><br/>Their 'cheapskate' burger is still one of the best for me because of how well priced it is in relation to quality and portion size. <br/><br/>I've only tried one of their milkshakes (apple pie) which was fantastic, but slightly too sweet. I can see why they're in the 'Best Milkshakes' collection. Their shakes are also incredibly well priced considering good they are. <br/><br/>Highly recommend this restaurant.

Loved the atmosphere because the bar wasn't full. I now know that you go to Jerry's when it's a chilly day in Cape Town on a Wednesday evening.<br/>The burgers were impeccable this time around as well so overall good evening with friends.

A lot of things to say about Jerrys (mostly good). Their food is amazing, it is one of the best burger bars in town. Their drinks are great & their service is also great. Jerry's Burger Bar is laid-back yet vibey with burgers that mean business. <br/><br/>Choosing a burger is a tough choice! You have a choice of a patty filled with things like chorizo or chillies or you can choose their handmade mince patties. <br/><br/>For something totally different, I selected the Ramen burger. Beef patty sandwiched between two buns made out of ramen noodles, accompanied with their Shoyu glaze. It is a little smaller than a normal burger but in the end it was really filling with unique flavours that actually work. <br/><br/>My significant other went for something more spicy and opted for the Sriracha burger served with bacon, melted cheese with a spicy mayo. A tasty combination with great flavours and very delicious. <br/><br/>They have a wide choice of craft beers and their drinks menu are just as extensive as the food menu with cocktails such as the White Dog - white whiskey, bitters and club soda served with oranges and cherries. <br/><br/>It is a chic and trendy place that creates burgers with delicious flavours for a fun night out with friends!<br/>

This was a great experience . I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. The most exciting was the juicy Lucy and the wide variety in burger toppings . Loved it and crossing fingers for a joburg branch

First time at Jerry's tonight. Flip the food was awesome! It was completely full but we got a spot at the bar. The bartender Loic Moreillon that took care of us (myself and the Mrs) was such a well spoken guy and gave is impeccable service, he constantly made sure all was well and my girlfriend said that the cocktails he made we tip top. The food was good. I'm rating so high purely because of Loic's service when I got back I'd only want to be served by Loic. The food was good like I said but I think I made the wrong choice with having the frenchy, it was extremely rich but I should've thought that through, it did say smothered in blue cheese, not having a go at the kitchen, it was completely my fault. Love the vibe here. Lots of people chilling out after a long day and enjoying themselves. I can see why this place has such a high rating. <br/><br/>We were lucky to secure a table at the last minute and when we arrived we were escorted to a table big enough to seat 4 or 6 people. <br/><br/>Service was friendly and organized. My wife ordered a White Russian for a drink while I ordered a Jack Black Lager. <br/><br/>The menu is really good with lots and lots of hard choices. So I opted for the Sriracha burger which was bloody spicy and worth it. My wife went for the Ramen burger with was a lovely teriyaki burger with Ramen noodles for buns. Awesome burgers and totally worth it. <br/><br/>Would I go back...Absolutely.

Jerry's Burger Bar has always been one of my absolute favorite restaurants. The burgers are literally the best tasting burgers I have ever eaten, with their mouthwatering patties (especially when whiskey basted), their creative and juicy toppings, and of course topped with the softest of soft buns. Their portions are generous, and sometimes hard to finish - but I like that there's more to offer, rather than less; this obviously also makes the prices so worth it. <br/><br/>I visited Jerry's in Gardens on Monday with my boyfriend for drinks and dinner. As we arrived, we were approached by a friendly waitress, who was very accommodating and attentive throughout the evening. After staring at the menu, all googly-eyed for a few minutes, we ordered the Popper Bombs as a starter, which were the perfect combination of cheesiness, spice and deep-fried goodness. I ordered the Jack D burger as a main, and Jason ordered the After Burner Burger (it was pleasantly hot!). Overall, the burgers were A++ as usual. I also decided to mix things up a bit by ordering a cocktail, instead of the usual red or whiskey, so I ordered the White Dog - a refreshing white whiskey drink, with fresh oranges (and usually cherries, but they didn't have any that night).<br/><br/>All in all, it was a great evening in regards to the food, the drinks, the service, and of course the lovely company.<br/><br/>Food: 10/10<br/>Drinks: 10/10<br/>Service: 10/10<br/>Company: 10/10

Love Jerry's! The Jack D burger never disappoints and the restaurant has a great vibe with good prices. The evening is always busy, I would recommend booking if you a big table.

So after three weeks of eating amazing burgers, we have come to our last Burger Challenge restaurant that forms part of the CT Food Challenge. InstaEats Cape Town, DineGuy SA, and I Love Foodies have been on an amazing journey the last few weeks, and we’ll recap all of it soon. But to move the focus to this week’s featured restaurant, let’s take a look at Jerry’s Burger Bar.

The burgers at Jerry's are incredible! Full of flavour and the patty's are not too dense. At first I was a bit skeptical of the burger choices but all the toppings went together so well! This particular Jerry's has a great outside area and a really cool vibe. Definitely go and try one of Jerry's seven deadly sins!

My word! <br/>This place is quite hidden but I suppose it's too keep it from constantly being crowded as the burgers and wings are just THAT good. My friends and I wanted to be seated outside as it was a really humid day but there weren't any free seats so we settled for inside. It was a bit stuffy, no air con or there was one but it just wasn't on. Nevertheless, I tried the After Burner and boy was my mouth on fire lol but I'm not complaining at all. It was well worth the burn. 👌

Okay, so this week’s post will be slightly different as my experience of the food will largely be supported by the experiences of my fellow foodie companions. As part of a weekly foodie gathering, I found myself at the new branch of Jerry’s Burger Bar. We had actually wanted to go there a week before, but this new place seems to be so popular that it was booked out, and we were left making a reservation a week in advance.

Dubbed the best burger place in Cape Town amongst the young crowd - I just had to give Jerry's a try. I can very easily say that besides for the slightly fancy decor - the food (and portion size!) was on a par with the likes of any averagely good fast food burger chain. Except Jerry's is obviously 3x that price. Perhaps most disappointingly - the service was at that level too. The waitress got (and delivered) each of our four-man-table's orders wrong 3 times. In the photo attached are the R60 "cheese bombs" that my friend ordered: mediocre presentation and minuscule serving size (especially given its price) for a product of what is supposedly "an exceptional dining experience".

Really disgusted in this place. My first time was excellent and no Jerry's could beat them. However I came back and was utterly disgusted in the fact that my burger had hair in it. All the girls walk around with all over their faces and in the food while having it taken to the tables. No apology was made after my complaint. Really Flippen disappointing!!! <br/>I'll never come here again and never recommend my friends..

If you're looking for a gourmet burger at reasonable prices this is a good place to start. Like a really burger is supposed to be, a little bit messy, juicy and more filling than you asked for. Great vibe, beers going round and lots of people having a good time. Only thing wrong was that the bacon wasn't crispy which is my pet hate. other than that, service was good and had a really fun time.

Can't really say enough good things about these burgers. Decadent brioche buns, succulent beef burgers, and generous toppings. The onions rings are a must!<br/><br/>Cocktails could do with a little more kick, and service was a bit slow, but the burgers are worth coming back for.

As a foodie who likes to make healthy choices, a burger is a special treat and I will usually only order one when I can guarantee it will be worth it. I've heard fabulous feedback from friends who have been to Jerry's and I finally used my heavy hangover after my 21st to tuck into a greasy Jerry's feast. <br/>We had some riblets to start which were honestly of the tastiest, most tender things I've ever had. The succulent meat was basically falling off the bone before we even got our hands in the basket!<br/><br/>I usually take about 10 photos of my meal before I dig in so the fact that I only took one says enough about how excited I was. I had the Drunken Chicken (appropriate, I thought, in my hungover state) and it was 100% intoxicating... Go figure. The bun was a million times better than your usual white roll, toasted to perfection. The chicken was juicy, the garnish was fresh and spicy and the side fries were more than worth not opting for a salad instead. <br/><br/>I'm already planning my next visit. Thank you Jerry's!!😍🎉

It's a quality hamburger restaurant that does the burger things right. Excellent combinations and the the fries (or chips as they say) are excellent. I was impressed by their Lucy's 7 Deadly Sins burgers (specifically the Sloth) - just enough bite and the avocado n bacon was epic. I'd give the food 5 out of 5. There is one downside and that is service. I would go again but speed of service and seating left much to be desired. It's probably the best burger in SA if you don't mind the delay

We took a gamble on Friday night, stopping at Jerry's for dinner without a booking, as they are generally packed until closing, luckily they managed to accommodate us. Let's start off saying they are smart. Sitting at an outside table is generally an issue in the winter, but there were heaters and blankets and backdrops to block any breeze, so that's definitely points from me. Our waitress was friendly and very accommodating. To order, we had a double cheapskate, a rib basket and a Hotdog. The food is tasty, and portion sizes are decent. The only complaint was that the hotdog roll shouldve been toasted as all the fillings and sauces made it soggy. Otherwise, great vibey atmosphere and clearly a local favourite!

Stopped at Jerry's in kloof for a late supper, very chilled vibe, it wasn't that full as other times. Our waiter was friendly, their service was excellent. Our burger were lovely, all round good experience. I'll return soon!! Thanks

Just like the Jerry's in Observatory: delicious, friendly and I got fat. I tried the cheese ball starter at the Gardens one. They made me happier than the time I saw my first nudie photo.

Such great Burgers and cocktails. And their Jack'D chicken wings are a definite "must have". Maybe they could work on their service but other than that I'm very happy😊.

I've been eager to try Jerry's for so long and yesterday I finally got the opportunity. Decided to try it out for lunch and was starving upon arrival. Was a bit overwhelmed with all the options on the menu. The range of burgers is probably the biggest I've seen thus far. It was really hard to make a decision and when the time came to order I felt like I did so blindly. Something I regretted soon after.<br/><br/>My order was, in my opinion, ambitious. I chose the Sriracha burger while my sister had the cheapskate burger and my boyfriend had the hot dog, both of which I preferred over my own food. I'd suggest keeping things simple to avoid disappointment.<br/><br/>The service was excellent and I enjoyed the comfortable set up. Definitely look forward to being back.

Went for a friends birthday. We were a very large group and they were very accommodating. We sat on the most uncomfortable chairs but ate great food. I had their chilli poppers which were great. Different from what you find everywhere else, they are small bit sized balls so they're a lot less messy to eat. They loose a half a point for not having a carb free option.

Incredible experience. The new spot for when I'm hungry. Offers juicy, succulent burgers at a reasonable price. Also has a wide variety on their wine list and a wide variation of food. I'm excited to visit them again. Space is also very accommodative.

Shamen Raja <br/>Wow...enjoyed everything we ate. Ribs, wings, philly steak was all awesome. Chorizo croqettes were so yummy. Relaxed atmosphere. Difficult to get a table...they're so busy. But well worth the wait!

If you're looking for something delicious and indulgent, this is the place to come! Think American style burgers and fries with all the toppings you could want! Bacon, cheese, pickles, onions, mayo and skinny fries!

I usually go to the jerrys in obz, but decided to give this one a try. It was superb, my favourite burger (sweet baby cheeses) was perfectly prepared and their take on salad included a generous portion of feta which was super creamy and delicious. The service was top notch and we were served our burgers quickly. The outdoor seating is refreshing and loungey which I enjoyed. Definitely will be coming back here!

On the door step of the Hippo Hotel which give breakfast vouchers for Jerry's. The eggs benedict are amazing in the morning . I had to go back more than once :-) The staff are attentive and friendly.

Heard about this place from friends and was told to try it. Was not disappointed. The waiters were friendly and the food was amazing. One of the best burgers I've ever had in Cape Town. Definitely a place I look forward to going to every time.

I was served by an efficient and friendly American waitress. I ate the pride burger which I loved and ordered a side of the best onion rings to share with my friend as the portions are quite large. The pride burger is stuffed which was so tasty. I drank a vanilla milkshake that was nice and thick, however as the two straws are small it was very difficult to drink and I probably won't order that again.

Easy to understand what the fuss is about.<br/>Great food, good service and good ambience. I stuck to the namesake and it didn't disappoint. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
