Review Mondiall - Cape Town Central

RailLove Revolution
We have made reservations for two, 10AM and arrived a tad early. Several staff came to greet us, including Ms Crystal Bezuidenhoud who was introduced as the PR Manager. Our waitron was Admire, who proved himself to be very efficient and friendly. After having been seated, we were offered drinks and we chose still water, which promptly appeared on our table. The breakfast menu was produced and my wife selected the Benedict option while I settled for a full English breakfast. As usual, we shared our food and there is agreement that both dishes were just top class. Dining at Mondiall is a classy affair. A fusion between classic and modern, tastefully decorated without being offensive in any way. Guests from any age group or culture should settle in with ease. We were seated outside, in full view of Table Mountain and there were neatly trimmed rosemary bushes directly adjacent and these gave off a most lovely fragrance from their blossoms. It just added to the romantic breakfast atmosphere. Our breakfast was served and the generous portions looked attractive and tasted really great. I also noticed that the olive oil was cold extracted and the balsamic vinegar wood matured, both hailed from Olyvenbosch, know for quality. To the more discerning palate, Mondiall will be a good choice. I cannot think of a better venue to just have a meal, enjoy life with friends or have a business lunch with clients or partners. The Mondiall Burger has become a celebrity in Cape Town, revered by both the elite and the skateboarders. There are options for the #LCHF #Banting generation as well as for vegetarians, Vegans, etc. Food allergies can be considered and menu items are coded for diary, gluten, etc. I honestly believe that our breakfast was one of the best meals that we had ever enjoyed at the V&A Waterfront.

The ambiance of the place is really good, my food was delicious the i had the pork belly as a starter and was perfectly done, crispy !! Pork belly could be done as a main ! The salmon was really fresh and a good size portion. our waitress nipho was very helpful and prompt, super cozy over winter, I enjoy places where the kitchen is visible. Really nice place overall ! Really enjoyed it !

Had a great lunch here, the signature fish tacos are highly recommended as well as the seared tuna. Large selection of drinks to choose from as well. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Great place to just savour the weather and watch the boats and people go by.

Loved the vibe sitting at the bar having a cocktail! Friendly and helpful staff. Great cocktails! The burgers that passed by looked great too 🍔 Mondiall offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thursday Ladies Night has a special discounted menu for dinner only. Make a reservation. Or try one of the Buger-Beer-Bubbly Pairing menus.

Best. Burger. Ever. Well, maybe not ever, but it's definitely worthy stopping by for. Soft bun, succulent/soft meat (medium), and Parmesan Truffle fries (yum). The menu is not overwhelming, and has a decent amount of variety to appeal to any group. I should also add, the seating options are diverse--indoor, outdoor, tables, and booths.

Very friendly restaurant for a nice dinner with friends. Food is tasty and good quality in comparison to other restaurants at waterfront. Good beer selection.

| LUNCH DATES Mondiall 'Kitchen & Bar' I the V And A Waterfront | Enjoyed the Tapas Board for 4 consisting There's patato bravos, smoked paprika tuna, ribeye tagliatta- sticky asian wings and my favorite "toasted ciabatta", I couldn't say no to the Pork Belly. All enjoyed with Warwick Wine Estate First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon . They also have #HappyHour on their cocktails from 4-6 but we opted for wine. Thank you I Love Foodies for reminding me of this cool spot

Beautiful setting and views. Live music sets the mood. Good food and drinks to round it all off

Breakfast at Mondiall's is a great way to start the weekend. We recommend the egg white omelette as a healthy start to any active day. Egg whites with chives, capers and feta. Be healthy. Be strong.

This is probably my favorite place to eat in Cape Town. The food is outstanding. Great environment!

The burger is so delicious and the salads is good too. The price is higher than the average price

Not my first time at Mondiall. Greeted by very friend and accommodating staff. The waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the menu. Good food at a fair price. Ambience is great, music was ok, maybe a bit more "lounge" music would help. All in all, a good place to spend the entire evening...which we did.

This restaurant is very appealing from the outside and very welcoming on the inside. I was greeted with a dazzling smile from the Hostess Ms. Candice... "Do you have a reservation ? " No.. But it's only me ! Well , she was gracious enough to find me a seat , I was waited on by friendly professional staff and the wine selection and cocktails endless the food excellent ! The scenery magical, and the staff remarkable . I highly recommend this restaurant, But make reservations to be safe. ~Cheers

Breakfast was really really good, except that one plate arrived cold while the other was piping hot. Loved the decor and it's proximity to the waterway where you could watch the pleasure boats coming and going if you're lucky enough to get a table outside. One little negative however that the waiter we had was rather dozy, disappearing to do his own thing from time to time. Highly recommended apart from the hiccups.

We went there without reservation and where lucky to get the last available table. The service was excellent and the food very tasty (we had tuna, risotto and mussels). It was pricey for SA, but vey good value for money for Cape Town's waterfront.

Mondiall has a beautiful setting at the V & A Waterfront and I had the gnocchi not too long ago. Unfortunately, I thought the dish was tasteless and bland. The service was bad as the food took forever to arrive, I won't be going back anytime soon.

My friend suggested to meet here for dinner. I think the last time I was here, was more than 2 years ago and I had no recollection of how the food was. If the food is forgettable, then it must have been very average. Nonetheless, I had Entertainer vouchers and agreed to have dinner here again. <br/><br/>I ordered the ‘legendary’ waygu burger with the infamous Parmesan fries, hoping it was better than the last time I had it when I came here. Very basic burger, not executed well and the fries spent too much time post cooking in the oil. And with a price tag of over R140! Disappointed to say the least. <br/><br/>My friend had a hard time choosing as the choices were somewhat limited for her. Basically she only eats chicken dishes, she informed the waiter and he suggested the risotto of the day with chicken. She accepted his recommendation. About 3 bites into the dish, she discovered there was bacon in her dish!! The waiter and manager were very apologetic and offered to remake the dish. She was just so put off by it that she refused and didn’t want to risk another faux pas. <br/><br/>We then settled the bill. Still got charged for their mistake and promptly left. <br/><br/>Writing this review to remind myself not to return here again.

The location is great however, the service was awful! we ordered wings as an appetiser they came in cold, then it took them 1hr to bring in our main courses, they missed one of them and had to reorder it! The burger was very averaged and the tacos was not that tasty! very disappointed

Mondial as I know it means ‘the whole world’ and that is certainly what they gave us tonight. From the service to the sea food, it was excellent. We had their Norwegian salmon and their prawns. For dessert we tried the baked Alaska which was a first for me, although it was quite rich it was the perfect end to our evening đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ

Ambience: great ambience out in the waterfront. Beautiful decor inside.<br/>Food: was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented<br/>Service: this was absolutely shocking. Our waitress started out kind as she sat us down but upon telling her we were using the entertainer she became incredibly rude. I think she thought we would tip her badly even though we still tipped on the original bill. I was so disappointed it really ruined the enjoyment of our whole evening because of how sour and rude she was will definitely not be going back to Mondiall with or without the entertainer.

Hostess was lovely; waitress was unattentive, was incorrect regarding the use of The Entertainer App, Complimentary bread arrived in conjunction with our meal; meal (Wagyu Beef Burger) was okay at best. Manager checked on all tables but ours; amount charged on bill, was more than verbally stated as well written down. Poor service, will not be returning.

I wish this rating could be higher because I really enjoy the burgers and the hot dogs from the stall on the side of the restaurant and I find that it silly that you're not allowed to sit down and order these items in the restaurant when they all form one place. Instead u have to order it from a window and then find a place to perch outside and attempt to eat quite a generous sized burger/hotdog with no available seating close by. I did attempt to order something from the restaurant menu but literally couldn't find anything I'd enjoy and decided to leave rather than spend money on food I wouldn't usually eat in order to just have a decent place to eat it.

To some it up I feel I aged waiting for service . In all honesty you see your waitron and then you don’t see them for the next 20+ mins . <br/>It took approx 30mins for the card machine to arrive which was brought by another waiter who noticed we were waiting for ages .<br/><br/>The food : The seared tuna was a delightful mix of flavors . <br/>The gnocchi I found it alil bland . <br/><br/>I’m not sure if I would return given that I sat there almost 3 hours only to eat a main meal . <br/><br/>The views are amazing though if you are sitting outside .

For starters I had crumbed mushroom, it lacked flavour. I orded a frozen margarita, it was iced.<br/>The burgetr though I can not fault, it was made to perfection!

I have been to Mondial twice now within a space of a week. Last week Friday I went with family for dinner. We ordered a variety of different meals.<br/><br/>The service was really good and the food excellent. I had the baby chicken which was juicy and spicy. I also tasted the burger which I really enjoyed. Everybody else at the table enjoyed their meals and drinks as well. Service was excellent and as a bonus I could use my Entertainer app for the meals.<br/><br/>Moving on to tonight's experience. Decided to pop in for a few drinks before heading elsewhere for dinner. Mondiall offers drinks as part of Entertainer as well. I had an Old Fashioned and wife had a Hemingway Daiquiri. While the drink were good, the service was slow. We only ended up having one round of drinks in the hour that we were there. We had to look for the waiter.

Great speedy service. Food arrived really fast. And a great view of course, enjoyed with an ice cold beer. <br/><br/>I must admit that the food itself was a bit disappointing seeing the rating on here. Hubby had a sirloin and I had their burger and it was pretty average. Perhaps their sea food might be better bet to try next time. <br/><br/>

What a brilliant meal. There was a year end party happening at the same time as our dinner reservation but the manager, Candace, handled it spectacularly by giving us complimentary glasses of champagne. The burgers were delicious and great value for money. The service was also wonderful. We will definitely be back!
Natalie
Definitely a place I’ll be visiting again (and again and again) <br/>The service was warm and welcoming from the minute you walk in the door - the waiters are there ready to help with anything you need.<br/>The food... wow I don’t know where to start - the wagu burger is AMAZEBALLS!!!! <br/>The prices are a bit steep but it’s a nice treat!

Mondiall is situated on the outskirts of the V&A waterfront with idyllic views. The perfect vantage point to grab a bite to eat, as you watch the sun set over the Marina.<br/><br/>The menu offers plenty of variation and options for whatever your preference might be. We opted not to go with a starter course but to rather dig into our main course and maybe sneak in some dessert.<br/><br/>For our main courses we had the following:<br/><br/>‱ Norwegian Salmon with a miso glaze and sautĂ©ed greens<br/><br/>‱ The baked hake with tomato ragout and artichokes <br/><br/>‱ Cape Malay curry, which was absolutely divine. This course might prove to be a little spicy for the uninitiated but very tasty.<br/><br/>‱ The Prime cut of the day was perfectly prepared with delicious dauphinoise potatoes and tender stem broccoli.<br/><br/>All the courses were perfectly prepare and plated. I must add that the portions were very generous and represented value for money,<br/><br/>That old adage that we “eat with our eyes” certainly rang true for the dessert courses as they were all <br/><br/>‱ There was the chocolate noir tart with orange and berry<br/><br/>‱ The petit fours provided, as the name suggest, four tasty titbits for those wanting options when it came to the dessert.<br/><br/>‱ Then there was the baked milk tart with toasted almonds and cinnamon, always a favourite.<br/><br/>‱ Lastly there was the Tonka Bean cheesecake with butterscotch caramel and fresh berries to satisfy any “sweet tooth”<br/><br/>Again, a lovely picturesque venue with panoramic views a variety of courses to suite any preference.

It’s easy to pass this place on the various walkways in and around the waterfront, but perfect location and views of the mountain and harbour. Food was really good! Wagyu burger is a must! Service was also real good especially from the cute waiter hehe!

Opted for Mondiall for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. We had the free range steak, west coast mussels, prawns and Wagyu burger with truffle fries as sides and we were not disappointed, the food is tasty and the live DJ/singer just adds to the ambiance. Loved it

We two weeks ago on a monday , ordered the burgers they were amazing accompanied with a salad my partner had the sweet potatoes croquet, cocktails and drinks were devine

Obvious bias towards tourists. Came here for lunch. About 70% full, but took an age to order. Tried to get service by going to a waiter and asking, who indicated he would take our order only to walk past us and take the order of the tourist table next to us, who had arrived sometime after us. This trend continued through the stay... Try get service and just have the waiter ignore us in favour of tourist tables. As someone who supports Mondiall at times I expect equal service to tourists.. Wonder to think what would happen when the tourist season really kicks in.

I wasn't really blown away by anything. We had a drink outside whilst waiting for dinner service to start. The view is great, but that mini train ride that loops every few min is a bit annoying and tragic. The service was very slow, it was almost as if the waiter forgot about our table behind the wall / pillar once we were seated inside. My main (butternut risotto) was pretty average and dessert, nothing great either. The cheesecake was very stiff and quite large for one person to finish given how sweet it was.

For the price tag, I was expecting much more. The R140 burger comes with old, cold, sloppy fries. No condiments. Neither salt nor pepper on the table. And to be frank, a Steers Burger tastes better. I only remembered them advertising the strongest coffee in the world, when reading the other reviews. That should tell you something about how easily I forgot that I had the coffee. R65 for a Lemon Spritzer which was nothing more than cordial in water with ice. No bubbles, no alcohol. Clearly aimed at foreigners who have no intention of returning. The staff were blasé, likewise the live solo artist. I wont be visiting again.

The restaurant felt relatively clean.  At times it felt a bit chaotic as our waitress seemed to be very very busy although there weren’t that many customers.  My son ordered the mussels in the coconut broth which was hot as hell when they served it to him.  When I asked the waitress if she could take it back to the kitchen to ask them to take it out of the shell for him she was very hesitant and at first told me it was not possible, but I insisted as how can I let my son handle such hot food, I couldn’t even touch it myself.  They eventually did it for us.  I had some of the mussels too and it was not a good broth.  The curry powder they put in was not ‘cooked’ and still tasted ‘raw’ and it made the entire dish bitter.  Hence to say that dish was not finished. The mussels were also tiny, I can get bigger ones in Johannesburg.  We also had fish and chips.  The chips were a disgrace, limp, oily and very dark brown in colour.  The fish was nice with the tartar sauce but to be honest I have had better fried fish.  My waygu burger was just ok.  By the time it reached me the burger bun at the bottom was already soggy from the lettuce and tomato so perhaps they should toast it a bit. The service was ok.

Had an early dinner with friends, the restaurant is well lit and has an upmarket finish.<br/><br/>The service on the night was initially slow, we had to find the hostess to be seated. We also had the wrong size table, however the staff quickly sorted it out. Our waiter was enthusiastic for the night and gave recommendations.<br/><br/>I chose the risotto of the day. Which was filling and went well with the wine we ordered for dinner.
Fatema Al Fardan
Restaurant was always busy.<br/><br/>I had the cauliflower and broccoli risotto. <br/><br/>The waiter who served us was sassy and had an attitude.<br/><br/>Bottom line: good food but limited pescatarian options.

I had brunch here this past Saturday with a voucher from Daddy's Deals. The restaurant has such a fancy vibe to it (and some people in there looked a little too dressed up) the decor is beautiful and gives it an upmarket feeling. The brunch itself was really well made and filling. We were treated well by the staff and got good seats inside. I would definitely go again but probably with another deal as the menu is a bit pricey for me.<br/>

Apart from my appetite escaping me, I was very disappointed with the food. The quality was not all bad, so it was difficult to pin point what was wrong with the taste. I found that the fish I had was very fresh. My boyfriend (or shall I now say fiance - yup that's the life changing event) opted for his steak as usual. The Pina Colada I has was a bit off in some ways. There were lumps that resembled sour milk in it. I did like that they used coconut water as a base for it though.<br/><br/>Service: We were greeted by a warm smile at the entrance and the waitress was very friendly too. She wasn't present all the time, or visible rather. So getting help from her when needed was a bit difficult.<br/><br/>Decor: I loved Mediterranean decor. It was so calming and added to the vibe at the restaurant.

Breakfast was tasty. The menu however did not mention mushrooms, which my partner is allergic to, and which causes her to have an allergic reaction. Even though we removed them from the plate they had still touched her food. The service was poor. It took a long time to bring a menu/bill/card machine. Smallest cups of coffee I have ever seen! R18 extra for 2 slices of toast with breakfast was excessive and the second 2 slices was served without butter and preserves but was still charged at R18. The venue and position is lovely.

Wow! What an awesome place to enjoy a great cocktail or cocktails😈 A great atmosphere with live music and wonderful service. Mondiall has a great menu with quality food and is well worth the money!

My mouth is watering right now just thinking of their steaks! Foods is delicious, service top notch and I love the venue decor, simple yet elegant. It's also great that it is secluded from the chaos of waterfront.

Had the pleasure of enjoying a meal here last night and I must say that I was extremely impressed. The restaurant is beautiful with awesome views and even better food to back it up!
Kelvin Vincent
Very nice setting and an enjoyable venue for a good cocktail the barman is happy to whip up something to suit your specific craving. Mondial caters to all people, should you want to go out on a budget they do have great happy hour specials and are also on the entertainer app. The burgers are very high quality and a substantial portion.

A really lovely morning at Mondiall Kitchen. The food was superb and excellent value for money. <br/>The service was very slow but certainly made up by the wonderful ambience and spectacular unbeatable views. <br/>The presentation was lovely and the quality superb.<br/>I will say that the .5 was lost due to my food being cold and the service slow.<br/>I enjoyed the Egg Royale which were poached and served on an English muffin with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce.<br/>My spouse enjoyed the Full English breakfast. <br/>We will certainly go back.

What a great place!! Took my wife there for her birthday and it was totally worth it. Our waiter, Charl, was fantastic!!! He deserves a gold star - without a doubt!! Hehehe. For mains I had the cut of the day - sirloin with potato dauphinoise and my wife had Norwegian salmon with miso glaze and asian greens. Steak cooked very well, potato thin and quite delicate - very tasty and looked great on the plate. Salmon was well cooked with a crispy skin and the greens still crunchy. Dessert was dark choc and orange tort, and tonka bean baked cheesecake with butterscotch caramel.....hmmmmmm. By the end of the mains we where proper stuffed, but when the sweets arrived - the second stomach got to get in on the action. We had a wonderful night. Thank you. Ps. Do try the innis & gunn beer on tap - brewed in Edinburgh - it is fantastic!!

Came here as part of their wikideal they are offering, the food was good but when our waiter helped us and heard we had a voucher, his attitude changed a bit. <br/>They shouldnt offer deals if they not going to make enough everyone feel welcome. <br/>Saying that the food was very good and my fiance got to try the "strongest" coffee in the world.

We had a really lovely evening at Mondiall tonight. We began with the aubergine and tomato starter, which was yum. Then we shared the beetroot and butternut salad and the garden gems salad. Both were fresh and delicious. <br/><br/>The chef was happy to make all our dishes vegan and the waiters were really enthusiastic about accommodating this too. Service was great and the atmosphere is lovely.

Such great views from this gem!<br/>Always really quiet in the mornings so it's one of my go to brunch spots. Food is always yummy to the tummy and the eyes 😉. <br/>Service and ambience is great and definitely one to go back on a regular basis for brunch with the girls or a date.

The wagyu cheeseburger definitely lives up to the hype - probably why it was the most common dish coming out of the kitchen<br/><br/>Juicy and satisfying, best burger I've had in a long time!
Samantha Taylor
We loved our experience at Mondiall, V&A! I went for dinner and they had a lovely fire which warmed us up, and our waiter Nipho was amazing! I tried some dishes from the new winter menu, the chicken kebab for starters and the oven baked hake for mains, my boyfriend had the pork Belly for starters and salmon for main, and then we had the Tonka bean cheesecakes. All of these dishes were fantastic! Filled with flavour and generous portions. The overall ambiance was lovely and cozy, the service was top class, and the manager was great! I would definetly recommend going!

On the search to relive the best burger I have ever had (a waygu burger from a burger stand at the Good Food and Wine festival 2013), I decided to try Mondiall's signature Umami Waygu Burger. My SO and I made a reservation. When we arrived we were attended to immediately and received excellent service. The food was promptly served. The burger itself was great, the asian flavours were spot on and it certainly has the right to be called a signature dish. However, if your aim is to understand the difference between a normal pure beef patty and a waygu beef patty and to experience the dimensions the marbelling gives this may not be the best burger for you because the aim of this burger is all about the Umami flavouring.
Rebecca Hartle
Have heard so much about their wagyu burger so decided to give it a try. I was really disappointed- nothing about it tasted homemade - processed cheese and the bun looked like it had been bought from Pick 'n Pay or something. Fish tacos were flavorful and definitely saved the meal as a whole. Service was friendly and efficient, however, I'm not sure that we'll be back.
TASTEXPLORER
We've been here before and always been impressed. However, today was disappointing. Wagyu beef should be a cut above the average. It was an expensive but ordinary experience with cold burgers that just weren't up to standard. :(
Trevor Pols
After hearing about this place a few times, I finally made my way there to try out their wagu beef burger.<br/><br/>The restaurant is warm, welcoming and has a slight upper class feel to it. I was welcomed by very polite staff showing me to my table overlooking the harbour and table mountain. <br/><br/>I was there for the wagu beef burgers and couldn't wait to dig my teeth into it. It was juicy and full of flavour! Just what I had hoped for. I would have liked a little more garnish and perhaps a few options to add to it (cheese, chili, sauce). A little pricey, But all that aside, it still scored a fantastic 8/10. <br/><br/>Definitely worth a try
Natalie21j
We were there for brunch, the French toast brioche was good but their signature burger was nice but in all honesty forgettable. I don't think I'll go back, it wasn't worth the money spent on it.
Ettienne Marais
I had a beautiful pork belly with some Parmesan and Truffle oil fries. Excellent service, nice vibe, great Nespresso coffee to end off the meal. Highly recommend taking your special person there for a mild fine dining experience.
Aimee Smale
I did not eat at the restaurant but I had a burger from the burger bar. It was absolutely delicious! The best burger I have had in a while. You see the chefs hand rolling the patties and toasting the buns. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was very welcoming and engaged in conversation while our food was being prepared. They were also very accommodating if you wanted to make changes to the burger such as if you didn't want tomatoes etc. <br/><br/>They also had delicious fries to match the delicious burger. If you feel like indulging I would recommend their truffle parmesan fries! <br/><br/>Lovely quick easy and delicious meal, well worth the calories.

It's hard to think of a better way than to end off a long week of work than at Mondiall. The Basil Collins cocktail is great, the fish taco's are amazing, and the Wagyu Beef Burger is for me, one of the top 3 burgers in Cape Town (make sure you order the truffle fries and umami ketchup!). Pricey, but given the location and ambience, well worth it!
Amy Chen
Excellent food and service! Reasonably priced for the V&A. And if you have an entertainer then it's super affordable. One of my favorite places :-)
Claire Victoria Henderson
A great little spot at the V&A with delightful views and delish food. The Mondiall's Signature Fish Tacos are freaking amazing, as is their Truffle Fries - have to be my two fave dishes from their menu. Their Burger Bar is also great, have had their burgers a couple of times and they did not disappoint. The meat was tasty and their toppings and sauces are delish.
Jade Robertson
When ever I go to Mondiall I always have an amazing time. The view, the the staff and the food never disappoints. This afternoon I had the seared salmon, it's one of my favourite dishes on the menu. They make really great burgers too.
Kenneth Sun
Had a nice light lunch at this little gem by the Waterfront. The food was superb and the service was great, overall fantastic spot for something special.

The most DIVINE burger I've ever eaten! We got burgers from the burger bar at the V&A, fresh ingredients of the best quality- I will definitely be back for that burger!!!

Myself and 3 friends went to Mondiall today, and it wasn't a great experience at all for the following reasons:<br/>1.) drinks took forever to arrive<br/>2) my friend ordered a bottle of wine and got a glass of wine instead, and then it took quite some time for the bottle to arrive<br/>3.) when it came to placing our food order, my friend wanted the chicken and we were told they had run out the day before. We should have been told what was not available on the menu when we sat down and were given the menus. <br/>4.) my boyfriend was brought steak tartar instead of fish tacos. By the time his fish tacos arrived, we had all finished our food. There was no apology from the waiter and if there was a Manager, he/she was non existent.<br/>5.) when we asked for the bill, it arrived with quite a few extra things that we didn't order. Once again, no apology from the waiter, and when he brought it back, he had added on an extra bottle of wine?!<br/><br/>Our lunch which should have taken 1 and a half hours max, became a 3 and a half hour lunch due to the long wait and errors. I enjoyed my food though! But this was hands down one of my worst experiences when it came to service. The restaurant was full, but NOT under staffed.
Christine Du Toit
We did not have a good experiene. Firstly the a white wine arrived where I ordered the shiraz. Secondly I was told that the Seared Tuna was out of stock for main after the waiter said that it was the fish used for the tuco starter. I then had to opt for the oven baked kingklip for main. As I dont like green beans the waiter offered that the kingklip be presented in the same manner as tuna. <br/>To my dismay the kingklip arrived as per the menu, with the green beans. I then asked the waiter and he said that the kitchen forgot but he will take it back. The fish arrived again with seasonal vegetables which looked as it tasted, not appetising. <br/>The burger was excellent. So keep to the burgers as I will definitely not return for the fish. <br/>The baked camembert was very good and a good portion to share.

There were multiple issues experienced when we visited this establishment last night (26/12/2016)<br/><br/>7pm: we called to find out if there was a table for 8 available for 8.30/9pm as we were at the waterfront, and wanted to use the entertainer vouchers with our overseas guests. They kindly said they could accomodate us. <br/><br/>8:30pm: arrived at the restaurant and were seated in good time. Our first waiter arrived within minutes and took our drinks order. <br/><br/>9pm: no drinks as yet, nor the reappearance of our waiter. A second waiter arrived and gave us a speech about how incredible the food is - "other restaurant's goal is to get you in, fed, and out - ours is to get you in, fed good food, get you fat and out" (this came across as extremely pretentious and condescending) offered water, then leaved to go and source a jug for our water, as well as to make sure that we are able to use our entertainer voucher despite it being a public holiday (which we were not, but yet another issue - several of our guests felt we were looked down on after mentioning the entertainer voucher).<br/><br/>9:20pm: neither first nor second waiter had returned - we flagged down the hostess who then sent someone who appeared to be the manager to assist us. He took our order, apologized and left to go and place the order. Shortly thereafter, waiter #2 arrived with our water. <br/><br/>9:30pm: waiter #2 returned with our wine and wanting to review our food order which the manager had placed incorrectly. <br/><br/>9:45pm: one of the guests went in search of the gin and tonic ordered with the wine. This arrives 10 minutes later. Our waiter was looking very troubled at this point and brought us some bread with olive oil to stave our hunger. <br/><br/>10:00pm: we began to notice things becoming more frantic in the restaurant below us. Our patriarch went to investigate and came back 5 minutes later - he had noted waiters arguing over food orders and glanced into the kitchen where the scene was equally chaotic with what appeared to be waiters making meals themselves, and one chef present. At this point we decided to leave. <br/><br/>10:20pm: we left the restaurant after asking to explain the situation to the manager who was nowhere to be found. The hostess and waiter were very kind, apologetic and efficient in sorting out our bill. We left our waiter a tip. <br/><br/>All in all a shocking experience which could have been avoided with better control by management. We are very hesitant to return although the restaurant has excellent reviews with regards to their food - perhaps not on a public holiday or a less busy night.

Husband and I eventually got around to Mondiall, after many rave reviews. Apart from the beautiful venue and views, the food is surprisingly average for the price and service rather poor. Had it not been for our Entertainer voucher, it would have been a down-right waste of money. Will not be rushing back

Tried their famous Waygu burger! It lived up to the hype, their burger is literally the best I've had. Grilled perfectly medium. You definitely need to visit them.

We came to Mondiall on a Friday night for dinner. This is a beautifully situated restaurant with amazing views of the harbour. Given the still evening, we chose to sit outside. They weren't particularly busy, yet the service was merely OK. <br/>We both thoight our meals were delicious (birger for husband, risotto for me), but this is definitely on the higher end of the price scale (it is the waterfront after all), so we were glad to be using the entertainer app.<br/>An enjoyable evening over all. <br/><br/>While this is not the restaurants fault, sitting outside did lead to people approaching us asking for money and begging, which as the season picks up, should be monitored.

The low lighting gives this restaurant a romantic ambiance, but the size of it makes it slightly less intimate.<br/>The food is absolutely delicious - I had the burger on my first visit and the beef short rib (fav!) on the second visit - portions are generous. The caramelised banana desert was rich & lovely, and was enough to share. Service was very friendly and helpful - even though the waiter was training.<br/>Cost is slightly on the upper end but worth it.<br/>Tip: Ask for a secluded table with a view.

Came here a couple of works ago - they have lovely views of the waterfront and would recommend a table at the front of the restaurant if possible. The service was excellent from the moment I walked in, attentive yet unobtrustive, which was a pleasant surprise. I had the spice crusted seared tuna dish with crushed potatoes and gremolata from the dinner menu which was fresh and well seasoned and exceeded my expecations, I would definitely order it again. Their wine list has a nice selection of wines and the ambiance was great, it seemed to be a very popular Friday night spot. Their prices are a bit on the pricey side but what you would expect for the waterfront.

This place has a fabulous set up, I adore the modern decor and the extensive choice of wine.<br/>Any place that has an open kitchen also gets more points from me! <br/><br/>The menu has something for everyone too.<br/>I know they are mostly known for their wagyu burgers but to me when I go here the thing that impresses me most is the fish.<br/>They seem to have their fish dishes down to perfection and there's just something about being close to the sea whilst eating seafood. <br/><br/>Great place for a date night!

We just popped in for drinks after dinner. Great and vibey spot. It's not too expensive and the guys behind the bar add to a good atmosphere.

Mondiall has the loveliest view of Table Mountain and a well-put together menu. The menu is, however, quite small so your options are limited. Our food was good but I found it to be a bit over priced. If you're looking for a pretty spot at the Waterfront, this is definitely the place to go! Book for a time around sunset to make your dinner experience extra great!

I've been to the main restaurant and been thoroughly underwhelmed so this review is of the quite exquisite burger bar. I really don't know how I didn't know about it before Mbali Msimang told me about it but it's one of the few things she's gotten right since we met. the chicken burger is literally the best burger I've ever had in my life and I don't even think chicken has any business being in a burger, that's just how great of a feat these burgers are. not to be outdone, the cheeseburger is also delightful and I would definitely recommend coming here a couple times; did I mention they run a 2 for 1 special until 5pm on weekdays?

My son had the Wagu burger - basic burger with cheese- R135. The burger pattie is to die for - melts in your mouth. I had the Malay Curry Lamb -this was so deliciously flavoursome R170. The Fish Taco was refreshing with crispy salad strips. We used entertainer vouchers so this greatly reduced our bill. Beautiful views of the harbour and Table Mountain. Makes a perfect setting for a romantic night out. Service was good. David Son

Had a beautiful evening out at Mondiall, our food was served promptly after order, we were pleasantly surprised as we did not have to wait long for our meals. The food was absolutely beautiful, I would definitely recommend the Braised Beef Shortrib the flavors of the pickled beetroot and the cucumber salad gave it an amazing flare, I loved how everything worked so well together, definitely love on a plate .. My partner ordered banana split for his dessert and it was everything awesome I couldn't believe how good it tasted, especially since I'm not a fan of cooked fruit. I had the salted chocolate tart , it was quite pleasing and gave a beautiful finish to my evening at Mondiall. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

I was with a group at an evening sitting and all decided on the burger option. Our impression of the night: place, good as expected. Music: live, and very nice thank you. Food: well, all of us were a bit taken aback by what we got for the price we had to pay. The burgers was very well and tasted very good, but the price for what we got is a bit of a shocker. Drinks: the same, what people ask for bottles of wine these days are ridiculous. I think we would have to think twice next time. My review is in the context of someone who loves Cape Town and do eat out regularly , as well as love wines and buy from farms in our province.

What do you get when you combine opulent wooden furniture, an enchanted book case, elevated ceilings, erudite service, plush greenery, the most decadent food and a loft-style private dining area? In one word? Mondiall. That’s what you get. I was smitten from the very second I caught sight of this magnificent eatery. Little did I know that the best was yet to come

Best chicken burgers I've have had in a while. I tried the burger at the main restaurant but this far surpasses that burger. It was juicy and very tasty. Definitely worth a try if you are in the vicinity. I had the chipotle chicken which had a nice tang to it will definitely give one of the beef burgers a go next time!

Week three of our Burger Challenge, which forms part of the #CTFoodChallenge that InstaEats Cape Town, Dine Guy, and I Love Foodies are organising, led us to a place at the V&A Waterfront, one that you wouldn’t necessarily associate with great burgers, but the fact that they have an adjacent burger bar should give you a head’s up. Of course this is none other than Mondiall, a true dining gem.

I recently visited Mondiall at the V&A Waterfront and fell in love with their Wagyu Beef Burgers. So when I had the chance to visit them again to try out their regular lunch menu, I was pretty excited. Tempted as I was to have the Wagyu Burger again (it’s that good), I decided to go a completely different route and have a whole new experience.

Overlooking the harbour and Table Mountain, is Mondiall, a brasserie-style restaurant with a touch of sophistication. It is simply beautiful at night with a breathtaking view as you watch the sun goes down. <br/><br/>The restaurant greets you with an open kitchen, huge high-ceiling and glass windows creating a relaxed ambience that puts you at ease the moment you enter the restaurant. <br/><br/>My choice for Mains was Braised Beef Short rib served with pickled beetroot and garlic buttermilk. A flavour sensation on the palate and the meat so tender and soft. It was delicious. <br/><br/>Hubby opted for the Wagyu Cheese Burger with cheddar, gherkins, unami ketchup and hand cut fries. The burger itself looks plain and simple but tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. <br/><br/>The decadent Nutella cheesecake was superb and Salted Chocolate Tart a perfect combination of sweet and salty flavours - nothing like chocolate to satisfy the tastebuds after a delicious, flavoursome meal. <br/>

I try to do burgers at as many places as I can, because not everyone gets it right, so when you keep hearing one name pop up it's kinda a no brainer about giving it a go.  <br/><br/>Mondiall was thus next on my list for obvious reasons *the R135 waygu beef cheese burger being that reason* so we popped over last Saturday after a hike in the False Bay area somewhere ready to be amazed by this mouthful.Although the burger was filling, delicious, juicy, packed with pickles, onion and all the other frills the chips arrived to the table cold & I do feel the truffle {I think it was} in the tomato sauce served little to no purpose. Perhaps it'll be best to stick if next time I stick to the other menu items when sitting down and head out to their Burger Bar when a burger craving hits.<br/><br/>Mondiall has a great selection of craft beers on tap though, perfect summer chill spot when the thirst gets the better of you.<br/><br/>*note to self: it's okay to take food photo's, no one judges you...<br/>**note to self: try to post these reviews on the day that you actually ate there...jammer

Really enjoyed my visit to the Mondiall. We were greeted at the door immediately by their friendly staff, the decor is great and it has the perfect location.<br/>Had their Wagu burger for lunch and it was so tasty could not stop eating the fries! Definitely top 5 burgers in cpt!!

Mondiall is a really beautiful restaurant. It has a spectacular view of table mountain and on a clear day like today we chose to sit at a table outdoors. We were seated promptly and ordered drinks. The mission was simple, to try out the waygu burger! A generous portion of bread and butter was brought to our table, but 5 minutes later our burgers appeared.<br/><br/>This is a classic cheeseburger. The type that you'd expect from someone if you asked them to draw a picture of a cheeseburger. Or a cartoonist. Or a 3 year old. It's presented beautifully on a wooden board and half wrapped which I appreciated as I'm a messy eater. <br/><br/>The burger was delicious, I personally thought that the meat to bun ratio was a bit off, with there being slightly less meat. The patty was tender with a fresh bun and lettuce, tomato, cheese and gherkins. A classic burger that was done well and shone at being simplistic. I really enjoyed the fries, which were crispy but soft and tasty on the inside. Really delicious!<br/><br/>The service was good as well. I enjoyed how promptly we were served especially as we were very hungry. A must try for any burger lover.<br/><br/>I don't eat ketchup and so I couldn't remark on the unami ketchup although my friends enjoyed it.

I decided to try out the classic Mondiall burger. It was quite delicious and included matchstick fries on the inside which added a beautiful crunch to each bite. There isn't anywhere to sit and the nearest benches are covered in seagull poo... not the best place to enjoy your burger. Service was good.

I visited here for breakfast this morning. It was quite cold outside so we chose to sit inside but I can only imagine how nice it must be on a sunny day. I had the eggs benedict, which was really tasty and my eggs were poached perfectly. The real winner was the English Breakfast. It was huge and great value for money. The toast did let them down a little as it was quite hard but the great selection of breads made up for this. One of us who had the french toast was a little let down but the food overall was great and so was the service.

Highly recommend this spot due to beautiful setting and views on a sunny Cape Town day. Not sure if they do it every Sunday but they had live music when we were there and it was such a vibe. The burger was incredible, as were the fries. I would have rated the restaurant a little higher but the service could have been better hence the 3. I would definitely go back though just for the burger but also sitting outside there makes it super easy to people watch and that's kinda my thang. :)

It was our first dinner in Cape Town. Very good food (wagyu burger & braised beef) the service was fine as we had nice bar staff, but our experience was ruined big time because of a very unpleasant manager "Franco". He was rude to us upon arrival and spoke as if he owned the place & had the right to pick & choose who he allowed in or not. Not to mention the horrible way he treated staff at the bar. To give him the benefit of doubt, we asked the staff if he was always like that - they said the stress of a busy dinner service made him that way.<br/><br/>Bottom line -<br/>Come to Mondiall expecting amazing burgers, but book in advance especially if ur a big group. And give those boys a big tip!

Right so went to Mondiall for lunch this afternoon after having heard great things about this young restaurant. First impressions were great, someone clearly has spent several million making this place look as snazzy as it does. Obviously it's prime location helps too. As always I am critical of service. I worked at top restaurants for several years so I admit my standards are high but there are certain things every good waitron needs to do. To name but a few: 1) introduce yourself 2) respond to a patron when they thank you (say you're welcome!) 3) know the specials not just what is written on the board, I can read that myself. 4) when asked for the bill make it happen the guest wants to leave and taking your time causes irritation. Our waitress fell flat on all of these. No matter how good the food is, and believe me when I say the burgers were freaking Heavenly, locals won't go back if the service isn't good. So in a nutshell great burgers, appalling service.

Before a business meeting on a pleasant Friday morning with lots of tourists visiting the Waterfront, we opted to have breakfast at this very upmarket-looking establishment. Our waiter greeted us very professionally but that was the end of the good impression. We waited long for the food to arrive (never a good thing when you're feeling hangry). Greg's order was not cooked to his request (he asked for medium eggs and they were served flipped, asked for crispy toast and had to send the slightly warmed slices back for more heat). I ordered Eggs Florentine which was served on a huge platter which made the two little blobs in the middle seem rather sad - especially at the price of R70! There was no salt or pepper on the table. At least the coffee was good. The reason why we may not return, however, was overhearing the manager chastising the barman loudly and in cringeworthy language that he needs to polish the glasses and not hang around doing nothing. Pity. The place has a perfect setting with beautiful views of the mountain and the harbour.

Great spot for a weekend breakfast. Views are lovely, coffee is hot and this full cooked brekkie hit all the right spots. I STILL need to head back for a taste of their legendary burger... soon Mondiall, soon!

I've enjoyed Mondiall many times before as it's one of the few good restaurants with a view at overpriced and touristy Waterfront. The service has never been great, but when we went it was particularly odd. The waiter seemed very nervous and unsure of himself while trying to make awkward small talk. He was attentive for the first 30 minutes and then went AWOL. My husband had the Waygu beef burger and I had the traditional fish and chips. The food tasted okay, but not as good as it used to be - too oily and over-seasoned. Unfortunately within an hour and a half of eating the fish and chips, I was very ill with food poisoning. These things happen though, even at the best restaurants. Sadly I think Mondiall has fallen into the "we've got a view at the Waterfront so why try" trap, which is a pity.

MONDAY MADNESS!!! At Mondiall this means a 2 4 1 deal on starters, mains and desserts, needless to say I was extremely excited. I've heard great things about this restaurant and was ready to be wowed<br/>Throughout the night we dealt with three different waitrons which I personally find to be confusing and unnecessary especially when the restaurant is relatively empty. The bill was incorrectly tallied up at the end of the night so if you are making use of the special make sure that the bill is correct. <br/>The fish tacos were tasty and a good way to start the meal off. Ammaar Bawa, Tiyaarah Cloete and Waseem Dawood chose the wagyu beef burger as we had heard such good things, they unfortunately were disappointed. Their burger lacked flavour and was overcooked. I ordered their cape seafood risotto and really enjoyed the flavours. The portion was huge and could of fed two people. We were really excited about the chocolate tart and the panna cotta but unfortunately only one lived up to the hype. The chocolate tart was delicious, base was a bit hard but I can overlook that because the flavours was heavenly. The panna cotta was a let down, way to gelatinous and I had to settle for chocolate syrup rather than the coffee syrup that was advertised on the menu as they did not have stock.<br/>Overall the meal was above average but I was the one persons who had a main they weren't disappointed with. I'll be returning for those fish tacos though
Tiyaarah Cloete
Let me start off saying that the restaurant is beautiful. It's at the waterfront right next to the Victoria Alfred hotel, so it's completely separate from the shopping mall's bustle. <br/><br/>So last week I saw that mondiall had a Monday special - 2 for 1 starter, main and or dessert so I decided to book online. The process was really easy and it even informs you of the special. <br/><br/>We were seated.. Awkwardly at the window but it was really detached from the rest of the restaurant but we sat there anyway thinking that perhaps other reservations would show.. They didn't. <br/><br/>The service at first was decent, I wouldn't say it was special but we were given a lot of bread which is great in my books. We ordered the fish tacos which were really good, and then the oysters, which came with like a sauce of sorts - Waseem thoroughly enjoyed that. <br/><br/>For mains, we had 3 of their famous burgers and the seafood risotto. The burger although beautifully presented, was underwhelming and overcooked. The bun to meat ratio was off, and overall it was just not what I expected. The Risotto however was beautiful. <br/><br/>For dessert we had the Panna cotta and the salted chocolate tart, again beautifully presented, however the Panna cotta was gelatinous and not as smooth as we hoped. The tart lived up to expectations but it was slightly hard which made it difficult to eat. We also had cappuccinos, which weren't good at all. <br/><br/>Our experience was average, so I'm happy we only paid half price, even though the waiter had initially brought us a bill that was not in accordance with their "Monday madness" special.. Which I found weird. <br/>I'll be back to try a steak or something else but only because their starters were good .Waseem Dawood Iman Bawa Ammaar Bawa

Looking at the menu as we walked into this restaurant we weren't to sure if this was going to be a really bad experience and decision or a really great and amazing one, the service @wasn't great but neither was it bad, BUT the food was amaaaazing 👌 the Chicken Ballantine as well as there Famous Chefs Burger was really good and that's exactly why I would be back and why I rate this place a 4 out of 5. Thank you. @rinapereira

Great quality and delicious food! They also serve great wine. On the night we were there, there was a lot of dishes out of stock, but overall it was a great supper. And their Salted Chocolate Tart is the best dessert I've ever tasted! <br/>I've returned recently and had the Wagyu burger and it was also amazing; very tasty and filling! The service was immaculate once again. Thanks Mondiall!

After reading great reviews, we decided to make a stop here for lunch today. We were greeted with a warm welcome, fresh bread and the sounds of Spain playing in the background.<br/><br/>To eat, I opted for the Mussels Marienere and Dario had the Wagyu beef burger with handcut fries. The mussels arrived with an amazing garlic aroma and was served with fresh bread to scoop up the yummy sauce at the end. Darios burger, as he explains, tasted 'gourmet and full of flavour'. He left feeling full but not sluggish.<br/><br/>As far as the menu is concerned, I do think a few more options could be added, maybe a patagonian calamari and another burger option.<br/><br/>Overall the atmosphere was busy, but I do think they could do something to create a more bustling environment as it felt slightly contrived and clinical. Otherwise we were pleased and satisfied

I decided to buy a great deal on Groupon for an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. The service was great, ambience was lovely and the food very tasty. The portions aren't very big, but still satisfies the tummy. I had the curry and my partner had a chicken dish. Cocktails are also really good. I'd definitely go back and do recommend it. It was a cold evening so we sat inside but had a nice view of the harbour lights, but if the weather is good I'd definitely recommend a table outside.

My friends and I came for dinner and we enjoyed our experience. I wanted mussels as a starter but unfortunately they were out of stock. The man who served us was very friendly and efficient. <br/>I had the sirloin (medium rare) which I found nice but it was a bit chewy. The crispy hamhock starter was yummy and had a very interesting little taste.<br/><br/>Overall, the experience was lovely , the wine was good and I had fun. I recommend coming here with a big group of friends
Gabriel Stein
The only highlight of the experience was the staff, very friendly and you can see how hard they work to get you your food as quickly as possible.<br/><br/>Downsides:<br/>1. There is nowhere to sit, they could easily erect like 3 little tables with stools.<br/>2. Even though the staff works hard, they're relatively busy and can't keep up with the demand. (and my friend watched the chef eat off the grill) <br/>3. It's pretty much a glorified McDonald's burger, the meat tastes great but the use of the processed cheese really ruins the flavour and turns it into something cheap...Which it isn't and sour. <br/><br/>Basically, if you're looking for gourmet fast food, don't even come here, go to junior in tamboerskloof, their motto is "We do fast food better".
Vuyo Renene
Easily the best burgers in Cape Town ! <br/>Hands down. <br/>We had our burgers to-go and ate them near the marine whilst looking at the view of Table Mountain, which was pretty romantic. <br/>I really really think that their burgers are the best I've had in Cape Town. <br/>I highly recommend it.

There are simply no words to describe the amazing experience that was Friday night dinner at Mondiall! From the minute we walked in, greeted by a super friendly hostess and being shown to our table as if we were movie stars, I knew it was going to be a great evening.<br/><br/>And I wasn't wrong! Thanks to the Entertainer's vouchers (yes, we did behave ourselves like cheapskates, we know) we indulged in starters and mains, giving dessert a skip because a stop at Crumbs and Cream before dinner had proven too tempting. But before we ordered, we were brought some freshly baked bread, which was genuinely freshly baked. Moist and warm from the oven. <br/><br/>Being indecisive about what to order for starters and wanting to get something light, we went with our waiters recommendation of the baby spinach salad, which we shared along with some bread. Although it doesn't sound like much (leaves, crispy onions and salad dressing), the combination of flavors worked beautifully and the textures were lovely, adding that extra bit of complexity to the dish. <br/><br/>For mains, we could not surpass the opportunity to sample their famous wagyu cheeseburger! And yes, it is as amazing as everyone says - fresh burger bun, moist, perfectly cooked patty, fresh ingredients, delicious chips and some good ol' tomato sauce. Although very simple, it was made to perfection and I'd definitely recommend it! I had the salmon, which was by far one of the best fish dishes I've ever had! Crispy skin, fish cooked to a medium rare perfection, all surrounded by a delicious artichoke purée. Yes, it doesn't sound appetizing, but trust me, if I wasn't in a public area I would've licked that sauce off the plate! <br/><br/>A special mention must go to our amazing waiter - Lee. He was super attentive, very friendly and helpful. He really knew what he was talking about, made the perfect recommendations. And madd us feel like royalty. Now that's what I call five star service!<br/><br/>Overall, wow... An amazing evening! I wish my wallet would let me eat here every night! Everything on their menu sounds good, looks amazing and tastes even better! <br/><br/>Top tips: Book in advance because they're usually quite full. Ask to be seated upstairs - it's a lovely, quiet setting, perfect for an intimate dinner. Do try the cheeseburger, you won't regret it!

Beautiful venue that has made its mark here. The Green Dolphin use to be here, and I never did think they could match up to it. <br/><br/>The breakfast we had here blew our mind away, and to be honest, so did the service.<br/><br/>Go and try it, it's fresh, delicious, and a place to experience Lezanne Janse Van Vuuren

Mondiall was, quite simply, disappointing. My friend and I waited a long time to receive the food we ordered, which would be acceptable if the food was even remotely good. The front staff was friendly, yet this does not make up for the fact that the preparation staff were eating food off the table while I was watching them prepare my food. The sound of the 'Double Double' burger I was to order, made my tummy rumble, however I was sorely disappointed. The cheese was the pure description of processed, and quite horrifically destroyed any remnant of good meat that was on the burger. The bun itself could easily have been store bought, and the garnish was sub-par. Overall a very bad experience - something I would not recommend to anyone.<br/><br/>Upon management response to this review, the staff agreed to follow up on this event. They did not follow up with me, nor did they inform me of any investigation etc:<br/><br/>Mondiall: Hi John. Our staff are not permitted to eat in the kitchens and we would therefore like to follow up on this. Please can you email reservations@mondiall.co.za with your contact details so that a manager can contact you?<br/><br/>St John Grimbly: Hi there. Thank you for your response. I have emailed you my details as requested.<br/><br/>St John Grimbly: I am highly disappointed to say that I have emailed you guys twice, with no reply. I really hope these comments aren't a ploy to make it seem like you fixed any negative experience.

Wow! What a beautiful location and what delicious food. The breakfasts were delicious but I must say the endive salad is by far the best thing we had. So many layers of flavor. Well worth a try! Loved the little touch of macaroons with the coffees. Well worth a visit :)

Was very skeptical to eat here - had a bad service experience in the past. The service this time around was very good and the view amaaazing! <br/><br/>Boyfriend said the burger was one of the best he has ever had. I had a quinoa salad which was also nice and fresh â˜ș <br/><br/>Will return soon

I was very excited to try this place this weekend. The service was good! We had a friendly very waiter. The presentation of the food was amazing but my family and I were so disappointed when it came to eating the food. There were six of us and only 1 person enjoyed their meal (the Waygu cheese burger) and the rest of us found it hard to get through the meal. The short rib my mother and I had was tough and flavorless. The fish and chips my brother had were burnt and dry. And the steaks my other brother and father had were very average. We definitely will not be going back to this restaurant again.

Had the best burger in Cape Town at Mondiall. wagyu beef burger with delicious fries and umami ketchup. I can't judge the service as we were very in and out but amazing view of the Harbour and food was amazing so all round great experience!
