What a nice and romantic place and very cheap and adorable drinks are served here in a nice way I really did enjoy the place with my friends until now everyone wanna go back until closing time up to 2h o'clock

Haven't been there in a bit. It's a chill spot. 🍹 Cocktails, had pizza and my partner had a burger with onion rings and fries. Love the Window seat.

The food was amazing, as was the service from Nandipa. It was real value for money. At the time we went, they were out of sausage and lamb but they made up for it with other delicious food. I'm definitely going back there for this braai platter.

Great vibe, fast and friendly service, fireplace in winter, huge bay window and outdoor seating in summer. Cocktail specials and the spiciest chilli poppers in Cape Town. Just a little pricy

Absolutely loved the space. The waiters were amazing and the finger foods we had were great and they came with a bottle of wine.

Awesome new renovations, great Mojitos and friendly staff. Live music and a lively crowd make for a fantastic night out.

I was craving braai meat and pap, my cravings were satisfied after they served me. This is a place i will visit often when i miss that traditional braai.

The music is right on point, I enjoyed their smoking lounge as well. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try any of their food.

The place is pretty nice and has the hype you need for a club.

At Cafe Mojito Mojito 3 things stand out: 1) Quality food and drinks 2) Unique and fun filled vibes 3) Great service.
Juan Sadan
Quite the cosy spot to unwind and have a few drinks or smoke hookah while listening to good music or even catching the sports as they have TV screens. Staff are super friendly and willing to accommodate for customer needs.

Cute Cuban like place. Drinks was really good. The atmosphere was very Cuban and even enjoyed the local Brenda Fassie music. They also had a live band, which I enjoyed. Drinks were not too pricy

I really enjoyed the braai and the mojito, great service!

So cafe mojito has always been mine and my boyfriend's favourite place to go to for their ribs/wing combo platter and cocktail special. We went after having not been there for a few months. The menu had changed and so did their prices: they have ridiculously increased. Their cocktails are now about 80-90 bucks and with their happy hour special, it's R20 off. The menu design was also a bit confusing and badly designed. I mean, customers should be able to find certain items quickly and easily, instead we were given 4 A4 laminated menus, one is meant for drinks and the other for food, but 1 page had food and drinks but it all just seemed mixed up. With regards to their food, I had been craving their ribs for awhile and cafe mojito is(well...was) my go-to for ribs. We were disappointed in the fact that, the meal was cooked from another restaurant, probably from next door(since the waitress came in from the entrance carrying the food) and there was just oil at the bottom of the plate (I don't remember it being that way before). The ribs weren't as good as we know it to be. It used to be nice chunks of delicious rib, that would easily slide off the bone with a great basting sauce on it. The bill we paid felt like it wasn't worth the amount of money spent. The chicken wings though were good.

Cafe Mojito isn't memorable. It is neither good nor bad, exciting or boring – you'll leave full but not necessarily satisfied.
I popped in with a friend for a power lunch yesturday and it really was a beige experience. He ordered a breakfast sandwich. Between the waitress and chef, someone decided to serve the eggs runny without consulting my lunch date and when he brought it to the waitresses attention she became quite defensive and rude. I had a bacon, feta and avo salad which was tasty but not amazing.
Our order took entirely too long considering we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time.

You can definately give this place a miss

Update: returned on a very hot day for what I remembered to have been one of the best beef burgers I’ve had. The menu has changed. The burger patty is now a beef/pork mix and tastes like those cheap spur rib burgers. Whyyyyyy???!! 😢 now I have to score this place a whole point lower. Also be prepared to melt, there’s literally no air con indoors.

Review 1: Not my typical hangout spot - but I was pleasantly surprised at their burgers. I like my burgers plain. No frills. No toppings. Very little sauce. As caveman (I probably should say as cave woman as possible) - I want to taste the meat and the char on the meat. THIS you get at Mojitos! Not so sure about their other items - had a look at the tables around me and it looked fairly average (looks could also be deceiving). But their beef burgers, I would definitely return for.

Really an average place to eat. My friend and I went on a Sunday and it was very quiet. The waitress did not introduce herself and was very slow with her service. We ordered burgers and juice. The chips and onion rings were perfect, my beef patty was okay but the bun was a bit on the dry side.

Wouldn't revisit

My colleague and I enjoy going here on a Wednesday for their buy one get one free burger special. It's great value for money and their chicken burger is absolutely delicious!!!! The way the chicken burger is cooked and the sauce is amazing (just wished they would use a bit more sauce). The service is average from the waiters but the owner is very friendly an checks up on you which makes up for it.

They have one of the top 5 best cocktails in Long Street & the vibe is always amazing 😭 their stuff takes forever to arrive but their portions make up for it. A little clustered but nevertheless enjoyable always. Love it there💫

Had a hankering for Mexican food and decided to try somewhere new. If not; why not?

I ordered a selection of tapas. The nachos were crisy & delightful, accompanied by thick & creamtrfresh guacamole, silky smooth sour cream and tomato relish.
The chilli poppers were a portion of 4; stuffed full of creamy feta, crumbed and deep fried. Served worth a spicy mayo dipping sauce.
The smokey pulled chicken empanadas were my favourite. Light, flavourful and moist.
Hunger = sated!

I could spend all day here just chilling it out and staring at the pictures on the walls. The food however is average, not wow. Had the rib and wing combo and a pizza. Tasty and filling but a little bit on the pricey side. Though it is definitely a place to have after work drinks and shooters than lunch or supper. Will be back to try the R40 cigars

Went for the Burger special and Cocktail Happy Hour.
The burger were average not alot of flavour and a bit on the dry side.

Cocktail choices are very limited- only select from the house cocktails. Had the Margarita and was way too sweet for my liking.

Would think of coming back to try some other items in the menu tho to see how it fares.

A little bit on the expensive side, but one of the best mojitos i have ever had, and that is saying something because i drink enough of them😎

Thoroughly enjoyed our platter the other day at Mojito! The platter we shared consisted of Empanadas, prawns, chilli poppers, chicken wings & chips.
Everything very tasty, fresh & crispy... just the way I like it!
Will most definitely be back for more asap!

Was super excited at first but after finding the place, was disappointed. Calvin Boardand I ordered chilli poppers but man was it horrible. Even their milkshakes aren't something to write home about.

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent entertainment. Great family restaurant, I gave it a full star rating because there is nothing to complain about.

Round of applause to Cafe Mojito once again. They've have outdone themselves with their Wednesday 2 for 1 Burger special. Tasty, juicy and to die for. HAPPY HOUR COCKTAILS to the T!!!!

Staff and management always friendly and visible. The atmosphere is always vibrant and everyone always being happy and smiling. I thoroughly enjoy every experience at Mojito. They come highly recommended in my books.

Job well done!! and Thank You
Miss J

We went to Cafe Mojito to try out the Burger Wednesday special. I liked the warm and vibrant atmosphere, but that's about where it ends. The service was ok and the food was substandard. The 'famous' burger was disappointing with soggy garnish, stale bread, and (my pet peeve) cold chips. It must be said that the ambience is charming, and this spot is perhaps better suited to drinks and tapas.
Iman Bawa
Had the chilli poppers, chilli prawns and a side of chips. The only dish I enjoyed were the prawns. The chilli poppers lacked the cheesy flavour and the chips were a bit too oily. The virgin mojito was not great which is disappointing seeing that it is their namesake. Service was good though.

It's a nice small place that makes decent burgers. I was there on a burger special night and had the calamari burger. It was quite good, and reasonably priced. It did take a little while for it to arrive though (about 30 minutes), but overall it was a decent place.

The staff was also friendly and helpful

Perfect after-work drinks spot particularly for those working in the CBD. Majito to start off, without a doubt and then the usual chilli poppers and a gourmet burger which they're famous for! Good tender and cooked to perfection the burgers are delicious. Funky unpretentious place with a great vibe. If you want modern sophistication you're at the wrong place.

We had the famous beef burger, nothing amazing. What was fastrating was the waiting time for the bill and for our food.Only great thing i can say iz that their music was amazing..

Mojito to die for....This Cuban spot was exotically tasty with cocktails at half price and the food basket that filled the appetite, what you see is what you get. The live music adds a nice little touch to the ambiance of being in Cuba.

I really appreciated the fact that the owner alternatively manager would take turns being visible on the outside of the restaurant to shoo off the street creatures that lurk on long street.

The bathrooms are a bit tatty. .. but hey this is long street after all.

The service was effective and always ensured we had a drink close by. I would strongly suggest the cocktails which were great value for money and tantalisingly tasteful.

Awesome place with a killer vibe. A but understaffed had to wait 25mins for my beer but the food and ambiance is 💯💯💯💯 best place for a chilled Sunday in the Mother City

Love the Cuban vibe. I love hanging out here with my friends. The atmosphere is laid back and I always have a great time here. I'd like to add this is my recommended spot for nachos!! Huge portions at cheap prices ;)

Never had food here, but is always on the list of long street pub crawls. I have loved the Friday night live music vibe, makes you wanna dance right there. Don't miss it for drinks with friends on a Friday night, and some chips maybe?

The only thing nice about this little spot, is its location. Situated at the top of Long Street, it makes for an ideal stop off for people who are on a Long Street adventure.

Tables with green and red chairs are on the pavement, under big umbrellas.

Our waitress was very friendly - even though we didn't see her much. But she was sweet.

We ordered iced coffee. This was by far the worst ive coffee I've had. It tasted like a cheap brand of house hold coffee - that came out the fridge and had a few ice blocks added to it - to meet the requirements of its name.
The pizza was just as bad. A soggy Base that tasted like a preheated pizza. The avo was fresh but the overall pizza was tasteless.

Perhaps cocktails are a better choice. If I return, that's all I'll have from Cafe Mojito

This is one of my favourite places to go to after work. I like sitting outside in a good day and just watch people go up and down long.

Besides Mojitos they make tasty nachos and wings. I am not crazy about their chilli poppers though.

The place has a nice vibe on Friday evenings with good live music. the couple of times I have been there, there was fusion jazz. nice place to chill!
Steven
Nice vibe, so it is said. The food is edible. It's your typical Long Street scene, catering with drink deals and a serviceable menu. I can't say that service was particularly good, nor even the food. If asked to meet there again, I'll probably suggest we try someplace new.
Maddy Brown
I love the cosy, warm, rustic, Cuban style. The burgers are delist and drinks are potent. Haven't been in a while though, must definately return :)

Friendly and helpful staff, very welcoming and treated as family. Their Wednesday 2 for 1 burgers keeps me coming back! Nice setting, both in summer and winter as you have the option to dine outside during summer or sit at their fire during chilly winter days. The vibe is always happy and relaxed

We went down for the 2-for-1 burger specials. Having seen this place for a few years, it was a pleasure to finally get a chance to go inside (it is surrounded by some illustrious neighbours).

The venue is small and cosy, with a few couched corners. It does have a fire place, but unfortuantely it's not large enough to warm the whole venue.

It has a distinct latin feel, which is not as in-you-face as some other establishments, which makes it more authentic. Our waiter was friendly, though the service was a bit slow. We waited a while for our meal even though the venue was not very full.

The burgers were good. I had a beef burger, with mushroom sauce. It is served with chips and 2 deep fried onion rings (not very crispy). The mojito's were good (unsurprisingly, given the stablishment's name), though the second one punished me (in a good way).

All-in-all a good experience

Cuban themed restaurant with reggae music and Cuban menu. The decor is plain and rustic.

Typical menu items are burgers .. Chilli poppers .. enchaladas. . Spicy pasta .. etc.

I ordered spicy pasta ..

Service was as friendly as can be expected. Food took about 10 mins ...
Samantha De Bruin
Raggae night was the best for me, the vibe i awesome sitting outside, the tappas and happy hour cocktails excellent, over the top friendly staff.

I have never been to such a lovely place. A friend of mine suggested we try café Mojito. So me and my girls decided to try it out. As we walked in, we are greeted by a smile and the friendly lady asks us where we would like to be seated and ushers us to the table . Then we get the menu's and I thought, WOW! this is affordable. The drinks were the right temperature and the food was to die for, I actually finished my pasta serving. Yummy. Thank you café Mojito for the unforgettable experience. I can't stop raving about it to who ever I meet...

Service makes this place, the owner is very friendly involved but curtious . The music inside was a bit too much but the tables outside are eveything you should love about CT. I personally enjoyed the tapas menu selection which has a good variety with a bit of everything for when you just can't decide

Good evening vibe with live entertainment. Friendly owner and speedy service at the bar. Good looking menu with a decent variety. Would def go back with a large crowd for a good night out. New owner who is passionate about looking out for the customers pleasure and entertainment. Small space which could cause an impact when very busy.
