Review Bacini's On Kloof - Cape Town Central

Always busy which lends itself to a nice atmosphere, service is good and attentive. Ability to add toppings to pizza and selection of ingredients very good. Pricing in accordance with most places in the area, very affordable as a tourist. Recommend booking.

What a welcoming environment! The customer service was delightul, despite the steak arriving not to my satisfaction, Prince (our server) ensured that we got the best service and greatest meals. No complaints, all needs were seen too.

I had my birthday party here, what a treat. Bacini's is a firm favorite, the food never disappoints and the vibe is a 10. Although it was a Monday night and I was sceptic about the atmosphere, it was so great and although we left last, we were never asked to leave or chased. Thanks Della and Team!!

Wonderful experience. Quality food. Good service. Pizza made in a wood fire pizza oven. The location at the foot of Lions Head at the top of the city bowl is excellent. We had a lovely summer lunch.

Think this will be my new regular. The pasta was delicious. We had the pesto pasta with chicken and the Cannelloni. They were both so fresh and tasted home made. I had the cosmo cocktail which was delicious. For dessert we had the chocolate fondant and it was made so well and was delicious and rich. The service was spectacular, we didn't book and were moved to a table very quickly. Recommend to any Italian food lovers out there.

Me and my friend had a great dinner with great ambiance and food. For starters we had the Arrenchini balls with a home made pesto but the highlight was the zucchini with a pesto dip that just tastes amazing ( bottle it, sell it). The mains were amazing and the pasta was amazing you can really taste the freshly made just wow. The dessert was good with New York cheesecake and a chocolate fondue cake. So all in all a great evening and we will be back Thank You for the amazing evening.

Enjoyed my time spent here. Was exceptionally pleased with their pastas and drinks. Came for dinner around 6pm and it was very crowded. Think I had to wait outside for 20 minutes to get a table so I’ll recommend people to make reservations first, especially during busy hours.

Had my birthday party at Bacini's, large table of 16 people, and it was such a blast! The night was perfect, with excellent service and pizzas. Even with our big table, our waitress (Lidi) and the manager (Abdul) had everything under control all night. What an awesome place to have a special event. Also, very cool vibe watching the Springboks play on the big screen. 🥳

Cozy with the option to dine indoors or on the patio. The patio seating has glass walls to protect from the elements, while enjoying The Lion's Head view. The bolognaise was scrumptious, and the caramel cheesecake with hints of peppermint crisp simply divine. Generous portions and great service from the staff. My waiter Kelvin was attentive. Will definitely visit again when in Cape Town 😊

Ridiculously good pizza! Great atmosphere. Friendly, attentive staff. Surprisingly broad drinks menu. If you're in a larger group, be sure to get the tranquil spot outside. Excellent spot for an after work meet.

BACINI'S!! What an excellent, unassuming and tremendous find. This cozy restaurant has definitely left the best IMPRESSIONS! Food and ambience is absolutely amazing, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Will defs make a turn again

Food here was delicious and definitely recommend, especially from vegetarian perspective. The zucchini fries were amazing (highly recommend) and pizza’s very enjoyable with crispy light base and a good ratio of marinara and cheese. Will definitely be returning here.

Gluten-free lovers, here we go! Pizza whatever you want to choose, just go ahead, very fine choreography of flavors, very good cocktail menu as well, nice terrace and great staff!

Had a great time with 3 courses at Bacini's. Mushroom arancini to start, three meat pizza for mains, and tiramisu to end. All was good but pizza was of course the standout. Very reasonable prices too for the current year and quality of food received.

Our first time to this beautiful Restaurant! Stunning views. Super service. Joseph, our server was super attentive. Fresh food came fast although the place was pumping. Eva the Chef had us taste her Summer pizza of capers, salmon, sour cream and dill. Wow! Never ever thought I'd be that adventurous, but it's super delicious. We had the Carbonara, and Bacini super special Pizza. Super loaded with jummy toppings. R185! Come hungry! And jucy! Nice to get garlic, chili and parmazaan cheese as standard condiments. The food and wine is really well priced. The bakery makes Cannolonis, Millefoglie and Tartufos at R18 aech! Absolutely spoiled for choice. Easy 5 🌟

My Capetonian friends swear that Bacini's is some of the best Italian food in town. They are not wrong. The key to the dishes on this menu is that it is all about honoring simple ingredients and being true to the soul of good, hearty Italian flavous. The result is food that feels like it was home-cooked with love, but it's way better than something you'll be able to whip up in your own kitchen.
Louise
Has a really lovely evening at Bacini's'. The beef carpaccio, mama's meatballs, and new mushroom risotto were all really tasty! Good service and ambience too, thank you! :)

Very slow service. We had to call the waiter every time we wanted to order something. He never willingly came to check on our table. It was a public holiday so maybe there were understaffed. What a pity. Usually love this place

Busy venue, so arrive early or reserve a table!
Such friendly staff - they’ll all assure you the food is the best in Cape Town, and credit where it’s due - the pizzas are phenomenal!
The only critiques:
1. Don’t sit near the service hatch where deliveries are collected - it’s loud and intrusive
2. Skip the desserts. They’re mediocre, unfortunately. Especially the Panna cotta - too hard, no vanilla flavour. Feels processed, not fresh.

Stick to the excellent pizzas and you won’t go wrong!
Sarah Mcghie
I had a gluten free margharita pizza here and the others had pasta dishes. The portion sizes are big, which is great because I thought the menu was on the pricey side. My pizza base unfortunately didn’t seem homemade, resembled more a cardboard base, which was a pity! The pizza was also a bit oily, I’m assuming from all the cheese! The pasta dishes both looked and tasted amazing though. The restaurant is really cosy and fun and our waiter was great!
Nadia Beverley Abrahams
Cute, cozy & friendly family restaurant at the top of Kloof. Nice spot to chill with family and friends for a laid back evening with good food and wine. I had the Pesto pasta which was really delicious - I had mine with gluten free penne (really love the fact that they have a gluten free option). Would definitely come again.
Mr Creosote
Pizzas were ok. Ingredients just chucked in the centre without care or attention. There are so many pizza outlets in the CBD i won't use them again and wouldn't recommend them
Amber Kneisel
Bacinis is for sure one of my favourite Italian spots in Cape Town. Great, friendly service. Delicious food. Cozy, cheerful ambience. Bacinis never disappoints!! Recommended meal: their pesto pasta is perfection.

We used to love eating here but hadn’t been back in a long time . Turns out much has changed since then . I had ordered the seafood pasta, which if I had ordered at willoughbys or postichino I would have certainly not been disappointed. The pasta arrived and looked like a snoekies special from the side of the road. I don’t feel I need to explain to anybody what seafood smells or tastes like that is about to go off! It’s very obvious . So I sent the order back , for the manager to come and tell me he tasted it himself and it’s fresh! Well, clearly my expectations of a seafood pasta and his don’t match. However, I always thought of bacinis as one of the best Italian restaurants in town. Clearly no more ! The fact that he had the nerve to still charge me the full price just shows that the R 150 were more important to him than the reputation of the restaurant. We will certainly not recommend this restaurant to anybody and since I’m actually very upset, I will probably go out of my way to tell people my terrible experience .
Burger King
Met a long time friend there. The service was friendly and the food was very good. Pricing was good for the quality of the food. Friendly staff
Jenni
It gets really busy at night, reservation is needed if you plan to go with a group. Food was delicious but waited nearly an hour for the meal. The manager was friendly to look for a table for two and didn't made us feel left hanging.
Justine McEvoy
Visited Bacini's for a spontaneous Friday night dinner. Really loved the cosy candle light feel and the wide variety on the menu! My only negative was that the food took really long, especially given the fact that we only got there pretty late. Overall, the food was good and the staff were friendly !! Will be back :)
Jarrod Eder
I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else if somebody asked me where to find a great pizza! Been visiting Bacini’s for years and I’ll definitely be visiting for years to come. I’ve celebrated my birthday and so many other friends there too as they really know how to celebrate!
Marcio Lopes
Food is average. I had the Panzarotti pasta. The Napolitana sauce was fantastic. The spinach and ricotta parcels were very thin, and quite bland. I wouldn't recommend them. I added extra broccoli. The highlight for me was definitely the sauce, and the surprise olives, but not the actual parcels.

My girlfriend had the Amatri pasta which had a fair amount of bacon. It was light on sauce though.

Some sections of the restaurant are quite cramped which is a bit unpleasant. I find the restaurant too dark in some areas too. Service was good.
Irene Innes
Went as a table of 4. Bill was R740! First of all I ordered the cannelloni which was really hard and chewy, so much so I couldn't cut through it with a knife and fork (probably been in the deepfreeze for a while). Our table was so small for the four of us we couldn't fit a small parmesan container in front of our plate!!!! Loud, over-rated and extremely extremely expensive for what you are getting. R740 for 4 people that is WITHOUT any drinks other than water!!!
Pusm
Mmm , not what I expected. Some friends told me to try it because they always have a good time there. I understood why, it's a loud and alive "italian" restaurant where it's ok to go for a drink after a day at the beach. But from a culinary point of view it was a disaster. Cheap ingredients and heavy dishes, with pizzas that aren't even close to the italian ones.
Gabi
Great pizzas. Go to place for good value for money. I tried their Carlista salad today, description: something of everything you will love it. Accurate description! Asparagus, fresh artichoke, avo, egg, chicken, sun dried tomatoes, the list goes on! Divine!!! Service friendly. Family had pizzas and all were ad per usual lekker standard, crispy thin base with ample topping. Love coming here.
Chantel Prinsloo
Heard a lot about this place... and it's absolutely lived up to its reputation. I am a pizza fanatic and the pizza was incredible. You can taste they use proper Italian quality ingredients. Service was amazing, very quick and friendly. Perfect date night idea.
Katherine
One of the best pizzas I've had in a while. The crust was thin and crispy and the pizza itself wasn't overly cheesy, but still had a generous amount of toppings. We got take aways, but the restaurant was packed when we went to collect- a testament to how great it is!
Sumendra Chetty
Bacini's gets a stellar 4 from me! While a little less on the fancy side this restaurant definitely has a friendly welcoming atmosphere. We were seated immediately (no reservation necessary) and had a great time from the get go, the staff are super sweet and attentive with zero waiting time to get served. The menu is pretty straight forward - with the usual pasta and pizza fare. I had the chicken pasta and my boyfriend had one of the specials (to our waiters delight) the lamb osso bucco. Our meals arrived quickly, thank goodness because I was bordering on hanger! Anyone who has dined with me will know that I favour one thing at any italian restaurant- chicken pasta! But it's not as simple as it sounds! I've been terribly let down at some very swanky restaurants so I had no idea what to expect from this quaint family joint. My meal had a super simple presentation, but oh goodness what fantastic taste- the chicken was tender and flavorful with generous amounts of mushroom and sauce. I didn't manage to finish the ample portion but was so delighted with this awesome unassuming dish! Michael didn't fully enjoy his meal citing the polenta side as a bit heavy and tasteless, but all in all it was a quick and fun experience. Thank you Bacini's!

On Thursday evening I visited a friend. We decided to head out for supper as both of us didn't feel to prepare something. Anyway long story short we requested to be in smoking area as we called before coming through and they said it's empty. We arrive and it's totally the opposite. We waited close to 30mins to get served. We were in no rush but to be ignored completely by a well established restaurant by all waiters and I think including the owner I do feel this needs to change. You guys are in the customer service industry and that is all I'm leaving you will. Apply your mind and re-evaluate your mistakes

Where do I begin.

I have been here before and I have to say they make one of the best seafood pizza's

That said, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of service and recognition last night.

I phoned in and booked a table in the smokers section but when I arrived I was told there is no space.

Sat there for 30min and not even a drinks order or any acknowledgement was made.

I will never be setting a foot here again as I feel that even though you make good food, the way you treat your customers should take preference!!!!
Gabriel Stein
Pizza was very average especially for R100, I could've gotten a better one from domino's!! Also either I was very hungry, or the pizza was just too small to. Be considered a large.
Cynthia
This has been long time favourite for pizza in Cape Town, the service and staff are good and the food is even better, a nice place with a chilled vibe.
Justin Andrew Dingwall
This is my go to place in Cape Town for pizza and oven baked lasagne! Get there early as the restaurant usually is full by 20:00. I can't say enough about it.....
Wayne Coetzee
For the longest time, Bacini's was my firm favourite place for pizza. However, the past 3 times, I have been disappointed. I kept coming back after the previous disappointment in the hopes that it was a once off. This past time was last week, and my pizza was soggy, incredibly oily, and the avo was missing (not bacini's fault, I think avo was out of season). Sad to say however, is the fact the previous two times was exactly the same, except avo was available. Sorry Bacini. For my part, you have dropped the ball 3 times in a row now. My Mrs agrees that the standards have just seemed to have dropped recently.
Rignold
Had the 'special' Venison meatballs. Great sauce but the meatballs were jawbreakingly tough. Real disappointment. Also had a totally indifferent waiter. Service was just plain bad. Pizzas were good but then good pizza places are a dime a dozen. We won't be back.
William Marshall-Smith
Very average experience. Not child friendly which is strange for a residential are pizza restaurant. Management and patrons moaned about children. Suggest families go elsewhere. Pizzas were ok
Talia Lee Cohen
One of the best pizzas!!! A quick-ish takeaway, recommended to me by a friend. I usually create my own with friends and sit with a cider waiting for them to be ready! Also the sports channel is always on 😋 and it's close to some pretty spots...
Alex Fryer
The young Italian who manages the place, Is a precocious, arrogant, disrespectful young man, who was only interested in impressing his girlfriend and one of the locals who he was sitting with, as to how cool he is.
My son is his age and I am proud to say that he would never talk to anyone like this young upstart did to me. I found the rest of the staff very pleasant, so much so, that if the manger was not who is is, I would have gone back there again...often. Anyway, going to the top of Kloof Street tonight, was very much a fact - finding mission for me, to see what places are enjoyable to go to around the city bowl. Looking at the reviews, I am sure that the food at Bacinis is good, maybe better than good, but if a 26 / 7 year old thinks he can talk to potentially new regular clients ( I a over 50) the way he did to me, then forget it. WE, in future, shall be across the road at Bombay..... Awesome atmosphere, no egos, Now you are probably wondering how I can have the arrogance to write a review like this. Easy. I spend a LOT of money in restaurants. ..I have friends who spend a LOT in restaurants. I will be telling them to avoid Bacinis. It's not ONLY about food.
Robyn Rainier
I'd definitely recommend the pasta dishes over the pizza!! The pizza definitely lacks flavour and there are plenty of other pizza places that can offer a much more substantial base. The pasta on the other hand was incredible.
Nicol Miller
This a generally a dinner favourite, and never disappoints. If you are looking for authentic Italian gnocchi, you should stop by! It's always busy, whether you dine on a weekday or the weekend. It's warm, inviting and cosy, with various tasty options. Perfect for the family
Ben Kilian
Awesome pizzas, reasonably priced, with more-than-generous amounts of toppings! I love ordering take-aways here. Service is reasonably fast and friendly. Atmosphere is cozy and warm! Unfortunately the manager has a really negative attitude and frequently screams at her waitresses and kitchen staff, for whatever reason (All four or five of my visits) ... Not a very pleasant experience :( Stopped coming here since early 2015 ..
Ka Wing 88
This is a great joint for a pre-Oceans carbo-load! Pastas were super quick and super tasty. Most of the runners went for the standard bolognaise, the non-runners had the seafood pasta. All meals were great. Atmosphere is lively and cosy, the waitresses and service are super efficient. I'm gonna reserve my table already for next year's Two Oceans carbo-load.
Riaan Anker
Been here several times. Never tried the pizza ... but .. the pasta is good and reasonably priced! Add a cold bubbly to a pasta with added chillies ... what more can you ask for!

Service always been friendly!

One of my favourites!
St John Grimbly
Bacini's is one of those places where you keep coming back to chat to your friends and family. I have been coming here for years - almost a family tradition. The food used to be incredible under the old owners and the service was amazing - this all changed when the new owners came in years ago. I am happy, and almost proud to say that Bacini's is finally living up to its old, high standards. I would love to have a reason to choose this restaurant over other competitors in the area, but sadly it just isn't there yet. The family restaurant feel has been slightly lost, and I long for the day for it to return.

For memories and nostalgia, and the food they still serve - 4/5.
Tyler Mirtle
Pleeeza can I have ah pizza! This stunning little Italian restaurant absolutely hits the spot when it comes to a pizza craving!
And here's a helpful hint: Be sure too book in advance , because I'm not the only one in town who thinks that their pizza is outstanding ;).
After having the craving on Monday, my boyfriend(Chris) suggested that I hold onto that craving until we get to Bacini's on Friday night. In waiting to fulfill my pizza craving, my expectations rose higher and higher as the days past. And I am glad to say that not only were my expectations met...they were exceeded! Super cheesy pizza with a wonderful tomato base that is so fresh that you can almost taste the earth from where the tomato came from! Absolutely delicious! It's safe to say that my pizza craving was fully satisfied...and that no other pizza will be able to fill the void that the pizza from Bucini's has created. The atmosphere was social and wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Wonderful evening! :) comes highly recommended by me to anyone dropping a visit to Cape Town!
Sarita Kerber
Got a quick takeaway pizza here and it was so delicious. I used to come here so often during my high school days and I honestly don't know why I stopped going there because this restaurant is amazing.
Lauren Jaclyn Goldman
I've been to Bacini's a few times and generally like the food and the vibe. However, this evening I experienced terrible service. Firstly, a table was open outside and we were told we couldn't sit there because they didn't have enough waitresses to cover that table. Secondly, I have never eaten a meal so quickly - I've eaten a more leisurely meal at McDonald's! My friend still had a piece of pizza in her mouth when her plate and her glass were swiftly whisked away. And thirdly, the manager's attitude did nothing to ease the tension in our waitresses. She was brusque from the moment we walked in. Although this is New Year's Eve and nobody wants to be working, if you're in customer service it is the nature of the business, so either close for the evening or deal.
Alexa Scola
This is clearly a neighborhood favorite. A simple and traditional Italian restaurant with all the right dishes.

We had the parma ham and rocket pizza, a margarita with salami as well as a wheat free pizza option.

Overall not too bad but the pizzas have too much cheese on them for them to be correct.
Mike Varney
Down the road from us and had been meaning to give it a bash. Wonderful neighborhood spot. We sat on the terrace looking up at Lion's Head and shared a bottle of wine, a pizza and a salad. Delicious, hearty food (crisp based pizza) and atypical service for CT from a knowledgable and welcoming waitress. So much for avoiding the carbs!
Bree Street Brent
Your friendly neighbourhood eatery, that’s Bacini’s. Is it authentically Italian? Not really – not to my mind. But the food and vibe are consistently good and they make amazing sangrias. Oh, and they have cats, which is cool.
Jessica Stromin
Great pizza, nice location! A little on the pricey side I thought but a great spot to have a lazy afternoon lunch with friends. The pizza is thin crust, right amount of cheese and generous toppings!
Squirrel
This place was ok, nothing special. The staff were really nice and friendly but unfortunately my pizza came to me cold. With there being so many amazing Italian restaurants in Cape Town, I won't be going back.
Gitan Naki
ah Bacini's! What's not to love!! Fantastic little Italian spot this at the top of Kloof Street. Always been a fond fav of ours, especially like it in Summer as its lovely to sit outside in front! In Winter, they close the front part off with those canvas covers. It gets lovely afternoon sun though, so it’s still cozy to relax there with a glass of vino. The service is speedy and good and so is there food! There is usually an Italian lady walking around screaming at her staff (haha) so this is very normal and gets you giggling (don’t be alarmed) ;)! I had the Panzarotti (yum) and my boyfriend had the Matterazzi. Very good choices and we topped it with a bottle of wine from their cool wine selection (the Warwick First Lady) how can you go wrong? ;)
Ruan Spies
Baccini's is known for its amazing, authentic Italian style pizza and is without doubt one of Cape Town's finest authentic Italian eateries. Today, we decided to change it up a bit and tried the veal scallopine. I was greatly impressed by the quality of the meal; the veal tender and tasteful, the herbing and seasoning spot on and the accompanying vegetables bright, crunchy and delicious. My non "usual" meal experience was delightful and the fragrant Lavazza coffee and the friendly service made it even better.
Sarah` Kennedy
Love this place! Such a great family restaurant and love going there with a big group of friends. Very reasonable and great value for money. Always there for a Sunday early dinner pizza
Kelly Rae Gifford
I have heard so much about the pizza here and last night I finally had the opportunity to treat myself. I had the Valentino paired with a bottle of Creation Pino. The atmosphere was homely and food was really delicious. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and will be back to try out the bree, peppadew and rocket pizza....sounds good, doesn't it!
Brian
Always a great spot to visit, friendly and professional service and the team will always go the extra mile. Great restaurant for any occasion, be it with the family or with the mates. Has been around for many years and the standard is always exceptional.
Lize
Delicious Italian, and I mean 'real' Italian cuisine. Loved the service, low key restaurant - very chilled vibe and friendly staff who know their menu and ingredients. Will definitely go again
Lori Claire Cape
It's a very relaxed and chilled environment. They have quite an extensive menu and the pizzas and pastas are really good. If you want a good pizza then this is the place for you.
Heinrich
A place that hardly ever disappoints. Went tonight to beat the loadshedding blues as I know they serve their full menu. We went early, so it wasn't packed like the last few times I've been there. Take away orders kept flying past us with people coming and going. The gas heaters and blankets were a nice addition to our evening. We started off with the Focaccia starter to share as we were quite hungry. Tasty and not too tough and the garlic smell doesn't seem to linger afterwards (bonus!). Had the Amatri (bacon, onion, tomato & chilli) pasta as my main course. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was really good, the manager friendly and the waitress was on the ball. I can also seriously recommend the Baresi pizza (for the meat lovers). I've never been disappointed with their pizza which I usually have as take-away. To get to the point, warm, cozy and relatively well priced. Well worth the visit
Linda
At the top of kloof street, a place many people seem to miss, you find this little pizza heaven . Pizza heaven in my opinion as that's what I eat, order whenever I'm in the area.
They have a great selection of pizzas to choose from and their service is great. Friendly, fast and efficient. The restaurant has an old Italian family feel to it which immediately makes you feel part of the Bacini's family. Pizzas are thin, light and crispy. Just the way I like it. Would definitely recommend.
Martin Evans
The usual stuff. Pizza and pasta and steaks .

Too many flags from what feels like the 2010 world cup.
IT is what is is. One of those pizza pasta places.

Always busy. Always Ok. Not my favourite and somewhere that I may not return to again.. Not out of spite. Just out of the other choices in town.
Chanel Pillay
I found Bacini's to be average. I had the chicken pasta for dinner but found it lacked in flavour. The service could have also been better since the waiter forgot about us from time to time but this might be due to us being seated at the back of the restaurant.
Candice Dingwall
I'm a pizza girl (would definitely be my last meal order:) And Bacini's has the best..pizza..ever! The kind you bite into and a long trail of cheese hangs between you and your slice
Stefan Retief
Pizza was incredible, with a great atmosphere! What does detract however are all the rules at the back of the menu:
no sharing a medium pizza
Minimum food order of R50 pp
Etc etc. It's not high school, I'll order what I like. I fully understand margins, fixed cost recoveries etc, but blatantly stating a minimum order amount does appear somewhat presumptuous.

Still good food though and I actually will go back again
Nova
Bacini's is such a warm and cosy gem. The chicken pasta was incredible, but the pizza was sliply burnt on the one side which was a bit disappointing. The service is always excellent with friendly and helpful staff.
Storm
Such a great vibe, awesome service and delicious pizza. Our new local den :) thin crispy pizza bases and the option for gluten free - win!!!
Niël De Vaal
My only favourite pizza in CT is found at Bacini! Friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Prices are not overrated. I could replace any toppings on same value what I want without extra charges.
Michelle De Power
Best pizza in Cape Town in my opinion. My fav is the Italian! A trendy little spot with a great vibe. Gets busy on weekends so be sure to book.
Craig Leslie
Fantastic restaurant with an awesome vibe! Definitely one of my favorite to go to within South Africa.

The food is always good and cooked to perfection. I would recommend to anyone!
Mohit Sureka
Never been to a place with a more rude host, the lady asked us to pay 50 rands per person or we should all order food. their reasoning is that it's mentioned on the menu and their peak business time? who the hell behaves so crazy.thank you but returning to a bistro which doesn't know how to give a good experience.
Riaan Delport
What a great restaurant. The atmosphere is brilliant. The owner is a laugh and run a tight ship. The pizza's", great. Coming from JHB and having pizza here is wonderful. Will advice anyone if you are looking for great pizza's
Rachel
I often go to Bacini's for a relaxing drink and pizza. The vibe on Kloof street is always positive and Bacini's is perfectly situated to capitalise on it. I've had both pizzas and pastas - always delicious!
Clive Goodheart
I went to Bacinis for a Sunday lunch with my wife. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day. We both had Pizzas. My Pizza was very good and my wife thought hers was average but not bad. The general vibe here is really nice and next time we visit.....we will def visit again, we will try a pasta or a veal dish. Overall, we were felt very welcome and will definitely return.
Olivia
Not a bad set-up, however, not a huge fan of their food. The pizza bases aren't thin enough for my liking, I've had much better elsewhere, and I wasn't a fan of the napolitana sauce, it was far too tart, and didn't taste particularly freshly made. However, Bacini's is reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is nice, so it has that going for it.
Allan Moita
On a warm, sunny, sunday afternoon... I cannot think of a more perfect Italian restaurant in the centre of Cape Town. The deck is perfectly situated, not too much traffic but enough to keep a little energy flowing.

The service is exceptional.
Not overly friendly but quick and accurate. I cannot remember being better looked after.

The pizza was great, slightly more cheese then I would like, but very tasty and great value.

I think I've found my afternoon pizza venue!
Melissa Delport
Great value for money. Family Italian at it's best. Cheesy pizzas and tasty pastas. Don't be shy to go for the veal campagnola-it's their signature dish and truly delicious!
SvN_lovedining
We had a pleasant experience at Bacini's. We ordered the Italia pizza which came super fast and was good. The restaurant itself was busy, but it felt cosy and relaxing. What is great is that they also have parking in the back since parking in Cape Town can be a mission.
Tamara Brocco
My italian blood finds me craving the carby delight that is pasta more than my mirror can stand.

Alas, there is a quaint traditional menued dining spot at the top of Kloof Street that settles any casual Italian diners craving. Parking, parmesan and portions for a king, Bacinis is a simple outing with well priced and well prepared cuisine.

Bella alimentari, belle persone.
