Review Nuri Sushi Factory - Cape Town Central

Raeeza Li Li Jansen
The place was very clean and the staff is friendly especially the girl who brings your food, she is just too cute and polite. The food was amazing.
Vicky
The restaurant was lively and busy, I was able to pre-order the day before so I could just pick up and pay didn't need to stand on a queue. The food is absolutely amazing will definitely order from here again!
Tasneem Adams
Sushi is consistently good, real value for money & I've been accommodated on numerous occasions with regards to my dietary needs/concerns. Atmosphere is a chilled cafeteria vibe, doesn't need any more or any less. Not meant to be a fine dining experience hence the rating for type of establishment.
Wendy Williams
Everything is above standard. Nowhere else do you get cones for R10! Real value for money. Friendly young man served us, all other staff also efficient and helpful. Very friendly. Food was super nice. Definitely an experience that will be repeated.
Stefan Kollenberg
Very fresh and tasty sushi (we got delivery) the spicy & crunchy salmon one was my favourite.
Faatimah Hendricks
Their food is great and I'll always go back for more! And their R10 ice creams are huge and delicious. Also had their waffles for the first time and it was sooooooo goooood!

Nuri Sushi CBD Cape Town is an absolute gem for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. Their exceptional range of offerings, from mouthwatering burgers to delectable poke bowls and delightful ice cream, has left me utterly impressed. I can't help but share my enthusiasm for this culinary haven. Let's start with their burgers. Nuri Sushi has mastered the art of creating flavorful, juicy burgers that surpass expectations. Each bite is a true delight, with perfectly cooked patties, fresh ingredients, and a variety of delicious toppings that elevate the overall taste. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients shine through, making their burgers an absolute must-try! Now, onto the poke bowls. Nuri Sushi CBD Cape Town has truly embraced the spirit of this Hawaiian delicacy, offering a remarkable selection of poke bowls that are as visually appealing as they are flavorful. The freshness of the fish and the harmonious combination of ingredients result in a burst of flavors with every bite. The vibrant colors, the balance of textures, and the meticulous presentation make these poke bowls an absolute standout. Last but not least, their ice cream deserves a special mention. Nuri Sushi's ice cream selection is a dream come true for dessert lovers. From classic flavors to innovative creations, every scoop is a heavenly treat for the taste buds. The rich, creamy texture and the intense flavors make it evident that they use only the finest ingredients to craft these frozen delights. Whether you opt for a cone or a cup, you won't be disappointed. In conclusion, Nuri Sushi CBD Cape Town has truly captured my heart with their outstanding burgers, poke bowls, and ice cream. Their commitment to quality, attention to detail, and passion for flavors make this establishment an absolute culinary delight. I highly recommend visiting Nuri Sushi to indulge in their delectable offerings, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Staff is super friendly, and welcoming. They have a great variety of sushi and burgers. They always have some meal special. The waffles are top notch, a bubble waffle with 3 toppings all for R40. Too good! The prawn pops is amazing!! Everything is fresh.

Other than being slightly hidden, Nuri Sushi Factory is really great. Upon walking in we were greeted with great service and the place had lively music playing which really set for a good mood. They have a wide variety of sushi and other foods available. And specially a great selection for vegetarians. Although the place was not extremely busy the food arrived fairly quick and had great flavor and a was set out very well. I found the sushi to be very fresh and for the crunch version it was still nice and warm bursting with flavor. The pricing is is fair for the quality of food you get and platters are available for functions or for people who would like to share. Over all I found the service and food quality very good and would easily go back.

Really loved the sushi at this establishment. It was fresh, tasty and real value for money, tastes better than some of the other highly priced restaurants out there. Would definitely recommend it.
Wardiya Esack
Best sushi in the Cape Town CBD. The sushi is always amazing. But the service this time was bad. The guy who assisted sit down patrons was abrupt and had a nonchalant attitude. We asked the guy to check on our order. Instead of going to check on it he said it takes about 20 minutes and we must be patient. I wouldn't have had an issue with his response BUT we were already waiting for half an hour. We told him and he again said it takes about 20 minutes. Also, at the time there was only one couple and 2 kids at the restaurant so it wasn't as though the guy was too busy to check on our order. Again, the sushi was delicious... But the service sucked.
Kaamilah
Nice place. Has a burger and waffle restaurant in the same shop which could be very convenient. Sushi is good and decently priced. I had the expectation it would be a lot more expensive because its "gourmet" but not too bad for a platter - R200 for 24 pieces (6 sashimi) - there are cheaper options that don't include gourmet items.
the farzaana
Fresh sushi and menu options for those who don't eat sushi. The standard is consistent. However, parking is a challenge. You have to park a few blocks away but it's a nice walk in Town.
Yusuf Samsodien
Had a platter with mostly fried sushi (not into the raw stuff lol) and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Thought it had great variety, tasted really great, and for 2 people, was very filling indeed. Second time we've tried this option and not disappointed at all.
Vikash Parbhoo
Incredibly tasty and well-presented sushi dishes. They offer a vast amount of variety of sushi dishes as well as various portion or platter sizes to suit your liking. What is also great is the great combo deals, which includes a mix of various sushi dishes at a decent price. I have always appreciated the efficient service while visiting the CBD branch. The Claremont branch is very disappointing, so I would not recommend going there. Overall, great sushi!
SamanthaRose Pillay
One of my favorite places for good sushi at great prices. The quality is amazing. It's definitely a go to for comfort food after a long week/day. Love it
May
The sushi here is fairly reliable. My only real complaint is that there was a typo on the menu - under Dim Sum, there is a selection for "Spanish and cream cheese" and it should be "spinach and cream cheese"
Nadia Beverley Abrahams
Delicious sushi! Such a variety of options. My mum and I shared the G&M platter. Would definitely recommend this one. Everything was absolutely delicious!
Marvin James Kennedy
If you're looking for the best Crunches in town, Nuri's is highly recommended! Brilliant customer service too! Wonderfully satisfied each time. Keep it up!
Monica Hollenbach
My review is based on service, because I do believe the sushi is amazing. The service was extremely slow as the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. There were about 5 people sitting at different tables, and 4 or 5 of us waiting on our take away orders. My order was placed at exactly 12h35 and I received it at 13h20. I asked two times about my order and was told every time "it is almost done". It was a simple order of baby hake and fries and 13pc Crunch. There was no apology from the manager, and the one "front desk" person had a bit of an attitude every time he walked passed me. I got the impression that he couldn't care less that I was waiting so long for my order. I am not sure if and when I will go back again. Good food is not about the food only, but the service as well.
Michael Dowden
Best sushi in capetown, every time I’m hear always go back, especially nice is the salmon Crunch burger and their crunchy Sushi. NOTE: the hours are wrong on the app they open a 7 and have coffee and Japanese inspired Bagels
Noerah Allie
Totally obsessed! Nuri Sushi just introduced a new item to their menu and I must say, it really dazzled my taste buds - does this bring on serious sushi cravings?? Or burger cravings?? I don’t know but it is totally my new favourite! 😍✨
Sean William
So I ordered take away sushi at the restaurant in Stellenbosch at Eikestad Mall.

The service was extremely slow (restaurant wasn’t busy)
The one sushi chef, who prepared my food, had a terrible attitude.
I saw how she broke the bean curd pocket that she was preparing, but still used it.
The sushi tastes very rubbery and fake.
The take away packaging is terrible because the sushi rice sticks to the cardboard boxes.(not practical)

Not a good experience.
Louise Van Der Bijl
I walked in and was met with smiles and a great ambience. Even as a take away customer, I was treated with the same care as a sit down one. When my order took a bit long, I was constantly checked up on and updated, always with a smile. Food is damn tasty, and the cheese and crab spring rolls are the best I have ever had
Chanel Fivaz
If your looking for amazing sushi or poke bowls then this is your spot!
They take sushi to the next level with an amazing combination of flavor and interesting recipe's. They even have rice free and calamari sushi. What what!
There poke bowls consist of the freshest ingredients.
Their rock shrimp is by far my favorite on the menu, so good that I didn't wait to take a picture and tucked in straight away.
With a few different outlets around Cape Town be sure to add it to buy our list of restaurants to try!
Caryn Rajh
By far the best sushi I've had. Perfect for people who have never tried sushi before.

Menu items are so unique and the flavours work, I would suggest trying the volcano!

Cannot fault Nuri at all.
Andrew Raeburn
Pleasantly surprising. Not much to look at in a bustling grubby street of Franchise takeout odors. Nasty decor lighting and acoustics offset by attentive happy staff! Tuna pokey bowl was fantastic and better value for money than the other trendy pokey bowl establishments around town.
Llew Adamson
Attentive staff. Very plain decor. Situated in CBD so ignore the smells outside of the venue. Sushi is ok, but what heck is the sauce they insist on drooping over everything??
William Philip Cadman
Disappointing, was expecting great things from such a highly rated sushi venue in Cape Town. Firstly the service was very slow and our order took far longer than expected despite the large number of “sushi chefs” standing and talking in the kitchen. Then the actual sushi itself came out with so much rice and very little else. The salmon roses were literally just a sliced up roll with a thin layers of salmon and a giant rice centre, smothered in cheap mayonnaise. Will never return here.
Shannon Correia
Ordered this through Uber Eats. Delicious and affordable! Really impressed with each visit. Try the fried sushi (salmon / cream cheese) and the Asian fries. Only let-down was not getting the mayo served with it!
Cheryl Coetzee
My FAVORITE sushi restaurant in Cape Town! I have never been disappointed with their food. However the service at some branches is a bit slow and one often waits longer than usual for your order. That’s okay though because the food definitely makes up for it. My personal Favorites are the Volcano, Veg Rainbow Reloaded and the Asian Fries.
Jessy Fraise
Super high quality at a fast "to go" location. The quality is that of a fine dining restaurant, and it's actually quite reasonable too. Very, very well worth trying
Farzana Dalvie
Fantastic sushi at a reasonable price as opposed to most places.I cannot fault the food or service in anyway and I’ve only had pleasant experiences at this spot.
Reshmi Muringathuparambil
I've been going here since they opened, around 2013. The food has always been absolutely delicious, and service has been spot on as well. Completely unpretentious, the restaurant has now increased their offering from just fusion-sushi to seafood and salads. I'd give a special shout out to their seared tuna salad, which is delicious! Go here nooow.
Melissa Do Couto
Absolutely delicious sushi. Incredibly fresh ingredients as well as interesting and unusual sushi plates available. The sushi is great value for money too.
Kulthoom Allie
My favorite sushi place! Never disappoints. Delivery is usually quite long when ordering from them directly but worth the wait. I always use to be the person never eating sushi, the crunch though! Won me over immediately!
Yajna Gold
Delicious carbless or riceless sushi as well as rolls and varieties you cannot find elsewhere. Definitely a popular takeout sushi spot if not the best
Linda
Me and a friend ordered sushi from here one Tuesday evening a couple of weeks ago. It tasted great, but early the next morning I woke up feeling nauseous. During the next 2 days everything ran right through me, and I had some quite unpleasant stomach cramps. I registered a complaint via their website and Facebook messenger, but to this day - more than a month later - have received no response. Bad sushi, and bad service!
Lesedi Ramonyane
The space itself isn’t divine but I will always recommend their sushi ten times over.

If you’re sitting down to eat, bring your own bottle of wine. There’s no corkage fee as far as I remember.
Mikhail Hathey
Nuri's Sushi is one of my favorite joints in the CBD, I personally love the Prawn Tempura's they have but the California Rolls and Maki Rolls are great too.

Service is excellent and you can see them make the food so you can trust the cleanliness.
Food Guru Snapper
WOW! Wow! Wow! Wow! What amazing sushi! Words can not explain how good the sushi is here. I recommend anyone to come here and experience the amazing sushi presented here! One of my favourite sushi joints to come to🙂

Have always loved and raved about the Sushi, until recently. We ordered delivery, only for it to be delivered almost 2hours late. Food arrived all messy and half-prepared in boxes (random blocks of rice) Soon after eating, we all got dangerously sick. Half an hour later, we then noticed the leftovers in the fridge smelled completely off. It’s been 4 days now and still battling with a case of food poisoning. I will never eat at this establishment again.
Renisha
We have enjoyed the food at Nuri since 2015, it used to be really tasty and unique.
However, recently it seems that their standards have changed.
Having dined in and ordered in numerous times, we have never had a bad experience- until last night.
We had placed a large delivery order, unfortunately all the items that were eventually delivered appeared to be a complete mess. Basically just thrown into the boxes, some items incomplete and without garnishes or sauces - blobs of plain rice (?!).
After eating, we noticed that some of the dishes had an "off" smell after about 30 minutes.
Clearly, the food delivered to us was of such poor quality and was in fact, probably starting to go "off".
A few hours later, everyone whom had eaten from Nuri was violently ill.

Despite being loyal supporters for years, after this bad experience, many of my family members claimed that they will never eat Nuri sushi again.

Raushan Essop
I've never been dissatisfied with the food itself.
Most importantly there are some good options on the menu. Recently they've added new items to the menu which is awesome too.

I did have a bad experience with the staff once.
Not only did they refuse to serve us even though it was before the closing time, the manner in which the attendant and manager responded was extremely impolite. I stayed away from them for a while after that incident, but the prices are just so affordable (for the quality that you receive) I had to return.

Currently, I'm sitting in Nuris CBD and the wait has been slightly longer than usual. I've been waiting for about 15 mins. The place is somewhat full and noisy.

I asked the waiter for some water and he brought us so nice lemon water with ice in wine glasses. It's free. Coolio.

I hope the wait isn't going to be much longer.
Fatima1707
Great sushi at a wonderful price with a large variety of classics and new age sushi to choose from. Always very efficient service and a clean restaurant with a good vibe . Favourites include the Gibbs, fashion sandwhiches, the volcano and the nuri stack. While the What's app ordering system is a super efficient way to get a sushi fix , I have however noticed a marked difference in quality between eating in and ordering from home. Portions are generally smaller and often accidentally soaked in wasabi during transportation.
Wafiq Galvaan
Sunday night rolls was out the question the craving for nuri sushi was the option.. Hit through to town in the worst windy weather to find parking close by which is always a problem in town! Finally to be inside and straight to a comfortable seat close to right hand entrance of the wall..good service and tasty food
Mushfiqah Gaidien
Their sushi is my favourite. I LOVE sweet chili so pairing that with their sushi is perfect. They have a lovely range of sushi to choose from and their combos are really great. I've ordered online and have gone to their CBD and seapoint branch, both really great! Definitely my go to sushi restuarant.
Wessel Brand
Fantastic! I was really impressed with the variety, flavors and portions! I will 100% be a returning customer... Pricing is also very competitive.
Crystal Yang
The restaurant had a funny smell to begin with. We waited ages for our food to come. We ordered the Botha platter- most of the pieces came with something deep fried & was covered in too much mayo.
Josh Robins
This is actually kak nice for price. basic sushi definitely tastes better than most places (something in the mayo mmm) Recommend off Mr Delivery, never been to restaurant .
Amy
This used to be a favorite place for rice free sushi. I stopped ordering for a while after food arrived crushed. Tried to order again today. But every time I phoned the phone was put down on me. Not engaged. It would ring and they would hang up. Not a good way to run a business. Also, BOTH menus on their website are wrong, including the one on Zomato. They have also drastically reduced the range of rice free sushi. Won't bother to go back again.
Kauthar Ganief
Nuri Sushi never fails to delivery fresh, delicious sushi all the time. What I love most is that even on a budget you can get great sushi because Nuri's is at a very reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is quite relaxed. You will definitely go back for more!
Kauthar Majiet
Nuri is the BEST. The only downside was that they used to be so full but they've been adding so many branches now that we all have one close by! It's also a cool place for beginners to sushi or people who prefer cooked seafood, it's all so great! :)
Anushia Moodliar
Not one for sushi I ventured into Nuri after being told i would enjoy it. Went to dinner here on a Wednesday night. From the number of dine-ins and take-aways I could see it was a very popular place. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of 'cooked' sushi... tempura and deep fried alternatives.

Its not a place you go to for the ambiance or atmosphere. Here its about the food. Pretty basic decor... a leaning toward upmarket canteen with a view of the kitchen.

Staff are friendly but not very aware. Had to get their attention for help.

Prices are reasonable
Liezel Jenay Fick
The sushi is absolutely amazing, very cheap with fairly good portion sizes. Service is always top notch, workers are forever happy to help you.
Christelle Steenkamp
Best "Western" sushi in Cape Town!! And it's really affordable. Always go there and would drive all the way from Northern Suburbs! Delivery also spot on!
Chelyn De Graaf
This is what dreams are made of right here!!!! Also if you feeling down eat some of this magic and all your dreams will come true!!!! 🙏🏻❤️

Very generous ... with portions and condiments and all!! They are like your best friend or puppy at home they never let you down!! #yuuuussss 🔥
Zanenkululeko Belot
There is an overwhelming amount of sushi options to choose from, and it's always was fresh and delicious

I opted for the Crunch, which in my opinion is one of their top five offerings.
Aletha Jeftha
I don't understand the hype behind this place. The sushi is decent, but nothing to write home to about. I generally prefer traditional rolls i.e. No sweet chili, tempura or mayo type rolls. I think these rolls are probably what they are better known for and perhaps this is why I was not quite a fan.

Update: returned to give Nuri another chance. This time having one of the most popular combos, the R&R. I can see why people rave over this... sweet, saucy, deep fried.. the stuff cheat meal dreams are made of. Although I'm still not a fan, there's still a place for this kind of sushi and they do it well... hence I'm increasing my previous rating by 0.5 points.

Think I may just return to give their new sushi burrito a go...
Sara Lohmaier
Have never been to the restaurant but we have ordered many times. Ordering is super simple and done via whatsapp message.

The sushi is always fresh and tasty. I am sometimes confused by which sauce goes with which sushi as they are sent separately in little tubs.

Some favourites include the r&r, Rays deluxe, and salmon rolls reloaded.
Kaylin
Me and my friends had lunch here for my one friends Pre birthday, we had the tempura prawns, calamari and the crunch platter. The prawns and calamari was nice aswell as the crunch platter although the crunch prawn sushi was flavourless but the salmon sushi was delicious. Other than that there was good service and the staff was friendly.
Luna Sowata
My absolute favorite, and the BEST sushi place in CPT! The portion size, pricing, taste and overall service is A1. Nuri have their own fish farm downstairs so you're guaranteed a fresh and overly satisfying meal✨ I'm on a mission to try out the whole menu so,
Here are some of my faves :
- The Crunch combo
-Blondmbition combo
-The Gibbs combo
-Murray & Bigara combo
-Smoke salmon roses & Rainbow reloaded
-Salmon bamboo roll
-Nuri Stack
-Dr Caras
-Volcano
The Chowing Bunnies
The sushi here is amazing and really well priced! The setting really is factory/ warehouse like and the atmosphere is not great, but I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a quick, cheap bite of fantastic sushi.
Nur Salie
Service is fast, food is amazingly delicious and all in all a lovely experience. Staff is friendly and explains well and was very helpful throughout.
Zaahidah Adams
For some reason I prefer to eat in at Nuris, even though I order from work at times and just collect it just taste different.
Their sushi is good, reasonably priced and always tasty. The crunch munch platter is getting to monotonous for me but I'm such a sucker I still end up ordering it anyway.
Lauren Niekerk
Picked up a Rays Deluxe for a takeaway along with salmon roses and some California and crunch rolls. Nuri is seriously great when it comes to sushi! Whether you are sitting down or picking up a takeaway, the service is always great!
Life With Leigh CT
Nuri sushi has a very chilled vibe to it. Walking distance from my college means fresh sushi is always nearby. I would definitely recommend thesalmon roses
Adam Dirks
Good food, casual setting. All round good xperience for first timers. Waiters should pay attention to the tables they are serving. Should try and steer away from cafe/takeaway feel
Mikaela
Ordered in last night using Nuri's delivery service and I was super impressed! You can order using WhatsApp and they even have snapscan for easy payment. The Nuri team were so helpful and the sushi arrived quickly.

The sushi itself is okay, with the rainbow reloaded definitely being the best out of all the options we ordered. If you're looking for cheap and convenient sushi, Nuri is definitely the place to go!
Kezia Swanepoel
Nuri is the ultimate sushi delivery service: you can Whatsapp them and they have Snapscan.

I have sat down and had a meal here but it's better to enjoy their inventive and tasty sushi at home while watching series on your bed or having a glass of wine with your mates.

I normally go straight for the combos and yes, some sushi purists might turn up their nose, but I can guarantee it's because they haven't had the pleasure of stuffing their face with these over the top creations.

My picks:

Ray's Deluxe
The Crunch
The RnR
The Gibbs
Salmon Roses Reloaded
Tempura prawns

Honestly sounds and tastes like if sushi were action movie stars. It's a non-stop thrill ride.
JotterJo
Situated in the CBD in Parliament street is simply the best sushi joint in Cape Town.

The Nuri team claim to be passionate about their sushi creations. And they are absolutely correct!

We have gobbled their scrumptious gourmet goodies a few times and are left wowed every time. Very few places offer sushi sans rice (except plain sashimi) and Nuri have just that. Brilliant bamboo roll options. Sides other than ginger & soya sauce include teriyaki sauce and peanut satay which is provided with all platters. We also had their veg spring rolls which were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Served with sweet chilli sauce. Magnificent!

They are distinctly delicious!!!

Magically Nick
Mandisa Nduli
Easily my new favorite sushi spot in the city! Everything is freshly served, you will not believe you haven't been here before.
Everything on the menu down to the vegetarian options is a worthy experience. Not to mention, the price list is fitting for a student budget.
Sahil Sooknandan
Really good service. The sushi itself was average, I feel the pictures look better than they actually tasted. Definitely value for money in terms of price is to portions.
Amy Imogen Tanzer
Absolutely delicious sushi with great variety!

I am very pedantic about getting sushi these days out of my personal fear of "off food" being eaten. There are many times I've ordered a raw fish type sushi and the tuna or salmon has been soft, slimey and not fresh at all. HOWEVER, Nuri did not let me down!

The fish was fresh and the sushi was delicious! I look forward to going back again.
Jaynisha Patel
Nuri is a no frills sushi restaurant in the heart of the CBD. They've recently done a bit of an interior upgrade making it look and feel somewhat trendy. The service was a bit slow, the food took a while. They don't serve alcohol but the food is quite reasonably priced.

I ordered a cucumber maki which was nice; and bean curd pockets - didn't really feel like sushi but it was enjoyable. Despite the Botha platter being a favourite for my friend, he had the crunch combo which is basically deep fried sushi; he enjoyed it.

Overall, Nuri is more about the food than the entire dining experience. Where the interior lacks in frills, the sushi makes up for it with all the add ons. It's a nice spot for some quick sushi.
Monique Withering
Disgusted at the service levels. Instead of informing customers telephonically that orders will not be ready in an hour because of renovations they attempt to serve whilst major work is being done without apology or explanation. An incapable staff member left on her own. Disgusting. Disgusting. Stay away.
Kayleigh Luntz
Good sushi but really bad service.
The food took long and all our dishes arrived at different times. My order arrived and it was wrong and had to be remade. We ordered edemame beans which only came at the very end of the meal we waited very long for them and they arrived overdone and soggy.
Would definitely get take away next time.
Megan Marais
I have some difficulty in choosing a dish/ menu item that tops the rest.....AS EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS MIND BLOWING!!Nowhere in the entire CPT beats the sushi style and flavours that Nuri Sushi offers. I highly recommend this place to any "experienced " sushi lovers and especially to the sushi beginners😊
Please can you open a store in Stellenbosch or the Northern Suburbs??
ZedVee
The prawn pops stole my heart! An absolute must try when visiting this casual sushi cafe. The Ambience and the actual sushi need some work though. Service was good. Staff friendly. However didn't live up to the hype.
Carla Vermaak
Everything about Nuri Sushi is good except their veg spring rolls. Pastry is too thick and undercooked. Love the blondmbition platter, slmon plate and bamboo rolls. But those springrolls. Nope.
Gerald Walus
The Nuri Sushi in CBD has a great selection of fusion sushi and although they sometimes overdo the bits and pieces with too much mayo/other sauces they do generally have great quality salmon and tuna. The chefs know what they're doing and the food in general always tastes fresh.

I'd say it falls short on ambiance - the decor is a little tacky, the music a little loud and the lack of soft surfaces creates an echo chamber. Not a great place for a date but a really decent choice for a ordering takeout or casual dining.

Prices are around average for sushi - one can expect to pay around R150 per head. Friendly staff.
Eilhaam Moose
Sushi with a twist, they have spiced up your average sushi and with reasonable prices I would highly recommend their sushi. Also the Asian fries and calamari is nice if you not a sushi lover but your partner is.
Saabirah Hare
Best sushi I've had so far and very affordable prices 🍣. However, I did wait quite long for my order, but nevertheless, good sushi! On the day I went, they had drinks that they were giving out for free because it said that it was R30. But it was free on the day as a promotion, I had the apple and peach and it was amazing, definitely recommend it 🍹
HungryDiner2.0
Some of the great and fiery sushi we have ever had. It literally brought tears to someone's eyes.

Great choices on the menu but a lot to choose from. If only they had alcohol on the menu as well some saki would have gone down nice.
Liesl Van Wyk Lotter
They have the best rice free sushi ever!!! We would drive the 20km just for the sushi

The setup is not great and they don't serve wine, bathrooms are terrible

But sushi is great
Mbaki Wotho
Nuri is a bit of an anomaly for me, it's not got really great ambience so I would not recommend it for a date or just anything requiring a vibe in general. What they do have however, is delicious sushi at a great price - honestly I can't stress this enough, their sushi is so tasty. There's no real wait staff so it has an almost takeaway feel to it which is not a problem for me.

Honestly can't wait to go back.
Vuyo Sisanda Sisanda
Quick spot to grab a bite of sushi that's got a twist . Peanut topped sweet soya dripping salmon rolls are some of the surprises you can order . You love cruch in your sushi your definitely covered . @If your Banting or just trying to get into your bikini you can look at the sweat1000 Rothschild's platter. Service is good , I prefer it as a takeaway spot .
Sam Moosa Peirson
Had a quick early lunch today. After 4 years in Cape Town, I'm disappointed I haven't been here before. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be here soon again!
Merwe Van Niekerk
Went out with the family and really didn't know what to expect. Ive heard a lot about the place but tonight will be the first time. All over a good experience. The food looked incredible and tasted really good. The vibe/ambiance isn't great but given the fact that it's partly a take away as well makes it more forgiving. Staff really friendly. Will surely go back. Very very well priced.
Melanie Du Toit
My friend and I decided to order Nuri for delivery and head up to Table Mountain for a sunset dinner yesterday. We Whatsapp'd Nuri in the morning with our order, (what a novelty?) saying that we'd like it delivered at 18:30. At promptly that time last night, our sushi arrived, freshly made and smelling divine. I ordered the smoked salmon crunch roll and the Murray & Bugara platter. It was perfect and I practically inhaled it within 10 minutes of opening my sushi box. My friend also had the smoked salmon crunch roll and raved about the Salmon Bamboo Roll she had ordered. She insisted that I try some, but in her indulgent haste, forgot to leave me a piece. I suppose I'll just have to order it for myself next time! I'll be back.
Lauren Michelle Strydom
Visited Nuri whilst on holiday looking for some great fresh sushi and we were not disappointed! Good service, reasonably priced with good portion sizes. Will definitely go back if we get the chance :)
Monique Wyndham
We LOVE Nuri Sushi 🍣 enough said! Our go to spot when that sushi craving kicks in. Never disappoints and a huge hit amongst our friends too.
Nabeelah Shaboodien
Today I went to Nuri Sushi for the first time and what a great experience! The sushi we ordered was served within 10 minutes, the waitrons were friendly and helpful and the food was AMAZING! We ordered The Crunch as well as the Volcano, and the Ying Yang for takeaway. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. The sushi exploded with flavour and the portions were generous.
We also ordered the choc banana crunch rolls, but we didn't enjoy it. The rice was too overpowering and I couldn't taste the "Nutella" they advertised as being part of the ingredients.
Parking was also extremely difficult to find, and ridiculously expensive - R32 for just over 90 minutes.
All in all, this is a great place to get your sushi fix but I'd suggest getting a takeaway if you don't want to search for, and pay exorbitant amounts for parking.

Definitely the place to go to get great reasonable sushi! They unfortunately ran out of salmon the night we went, but they were more than happy to use smoked salmon and switch up some usual options to make us happy. It's difficult to choose from their extensive menu but well worth the visit!

You should never judge a book by it's cover. While Nuri Sushi Factory may not look like a fine dining restaurant, it's sushi is top quality.

I am such a fan of quality of sushi at the incredible affordable price. It does have a cafeteria feel to it for those who love that but the sushi makes it worth it so a takeaway would be your best bet

Fantastic sushi for delivery 🍣 was impressed with the order system through Whatsapp. Thought food would take a while to arrive considering it was a Friday night, but to our surprise arrived in 30mins! Ordered a salmon combo which was 11 pieces for R98. Delivery fee was included in overall price. Must say WOW they were generous with the salmon and the pieces were massive. Was super full after that 👍 presentation was beautiful. Everything was fresh and delicious tasting 🙌 Recommend them!

I always enjoy indulging at Nuri Sushi Factory, because they never disappoint. My favourite is the ying yang combo which consists of California rolls and crunch rolls.

I thank the universe often for the Zomato app- I wonder how we all managed eating out in the good ol days and finding gems such as the Nuri Sushi Factory.

I love the concept of ordering interesting and good-quality sushi at affordable prices without the pretentiousness that many other sushi joints come with. Opted for the R&R 8 piece which consisted of rock shrimp tempura will and 4pc rainbow reloaded. In addition, had the salmon roses reloaded and spicy prawn tempura rolls. Absolutely delicious! This place will see me often and I can kick myself for not visiting sooner.

Don't really see the big hype around this place, maby I went on a bad day. My chop sticks had mold on them, service took forever and the sushi really wasn't all that.

Personally... I find Nuri to be a gourmet sushi restaurant. They have some very creative dishes and awesome combo platters.

They offer great sushi for a very affordable price the only problem with mine was that the deep fried was cold... It still warrants a 4.5 because the sushi quality really is a cut above most.

The staff is very helpful, friendly and well trained which is always good. But where Nuri really lacks is the atmosphere. Nuri is situated in the middle of town and has a rather dirty feel to it. I'd love to see it in a nicer part of town in a spiffed up venue.

Warmer sushi and a better atmosphere = full rating. Otherwise just come here for supper pretty delicious out of the box sushi.

Honestly not the best sushi i've had, i really don't like it, I can never do it again. I've been there twice & it's still the same thing sadly.

We went to Nuri on a very rainy afternoon after having a serious sushi craving and remembering it being recommended to us by a friend who had recently been. The word "Factory" is certainly accurate! It's basically a huge warehouse, but one that produces some of the most phenomenal sushi I have ever had the privilege of tasting! From peanut butter to teriyaki, the flavours are completely unique and the portions are massive! It is seriously good value for money. The location really is a bit random, but it's relaxed and different and the food makes it completely worth while!Kieran Usher

Pleasantly surprised, the sushi was really fresh, well made and presentable. The platters offer value for money, the salmon platter is a must try!

Nuri is my regular sushi joint - it serves affordable gourmet sushi. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I cannot get enough myself.

Nuri has such a chilled, laid back atmosphere. You order your food and drinks at the counter, you get given a number and you sit down. Your food is brought to you, you scoff it down and you're good to go.

I have never been let down by the service or food quality at Nuri. I will always be a loyal and loving customer. The only downside is the location - wish it were somewhere else but it never stops me from going back.

A revolution for sushi!
Each piece is made flavorsome & is a great size a contrast to that of the small, industrialized sushi you can now find at other establishments. Be sure to mix up the combos for value for money & try their calamari salad, it's a generous portion on delicious fried calamari and sauce!

Their crunch options are delectable & well worth the time.

Nuri changes the game!

I think by now I've tried everything on Nuri's menu and I can honestly say that 'the volcano' is honestly the BEST THING ever! Nuri's is affordable and their sushi is always fresh and out of the kitchen in under 20 minutes.

Omw, what an awesome night I had With some colleagues after work. The setting at but I was perfect relaxed . This was my first times and wow I was blown away by the sushi just solo delish. I've had sushi by some of cape towns best restaurants and really this blew my mind. If you thinking about popping around not go expecting a restaurant setting or service. You literally order your sushi and grab a table nothing fancy but if u like I am food makes he he'll of a smile on my dial. Thank you to Gabriel and shubair at Nuri parliament str we enjoyed our complimentary dessert

If you're looking for quality sushi at affordable prices then nuri is the place to go. They have a variety of sushi and always serves quality food.

The Asian fries were really good but this Asian fusions sushi was overpowering and takes away from the taste of the fish. I don't think I'll be returning to nuri for the sole reason that I'm a sushi purist but if the sauces and the fried stuff is your thing then it's worth a try. They also deliver which is quite convenient.

Heard so much about this place, and when visiting the mother city recently - just needed to try it out!!

And it was definitely worth it, the sushi they make here is gourmet and each type seems more delicious than the previous.

Whenever in Cape Town you need to visit here and come with a huge appetite!

What awesome sushi options! All are so tasty, and great value for money. I opted for the R&R, the firecracker and sashimi, and all were equally yummy and fresh. The service is quick and efficient enough for you to pop by in your lunch time but they also offer a delivery option if you work in the surrounding areas. If you haven't tried Nuri Sushi, you haven't actually eaten sushi in Cape Town 🍤🍣

In the heart of CapeTown CBD , very casual laid back place , extensive menu if you looking for out of the ordinary sushi, they have healthy no rice options as well as sushi salads. The sushi coming past looks great and actually tasted very good and great value for money.
UPDATE
Came back after a year and they have changed a winning recipe , smaller portions more rice , Less sushi, and higher prices , what a pity

I ordered 3 portions of sushi( 2x salmon &creM cheese crunch, 1x smoked salmon, cream cheese and chives.) last night and was dismally disappointed with both the sushi and the service. I ordered the sushi through Whatsapp at 18:19 and it took them approximately 20 minutes to reply. I was then told at 19:16 (nearly an hour later) that my order had left and was on its way. My food arrived a shocking hour later at 20:10.
My salmon crunch was cold (it's meant to be warm as its deep fried) and the salmon inside was extremely dry and overdone. Although they are so reasonably priced, I will never get sushi from them again. I am so disappointed in Nuri.
