Review Shift Espresso Bar - Cape Town Central

Stayed at one of the guest rooms. Room's are nice enough, location and entrance/foyer is great. Only issue with the rooms I found was it can get a little cold in the winter, AC doesn't necessarily work all that well and the shower needs a difficult adjustment to get it to be hot without it being scalding and the water pressure is kind of mild. If these issues were fixed, wouldn't mind staying again. Probably better for summer than winter stays.

Just went to the spa. Loved it! The treatment was incredible. Felt like jelly when I left. The light was set a bit too low in the passage towards the massage room for my taste. Maybe it was supposed to set a soothing low light tone, but it was border line pitch black. The staff was very inviting and friendly. I would definitely go back and try some of their other treatment options.

The Cape Royal Luxury suites hosted a Mother's day breakfast for 60 beautiful ladies yesterday. The managers of the Cape Royale were waiting outside as the ladies arrived to welcome them. The feedback from the ladies were that the breakfast was amaaaazing and the staff that served them were phenomenal. Thank YOU Cape Royal Luxury suites for a job well done and providing top class service! Well done and thank you sooo much!

3rd visit to Shift since December with the hopes of trying the Black Insomnia, unfortunately looks like Black Insomnia may be history. All the same, had an excellent cappuccino with the new "The Almighty" coffee brand. One of the best cappuccinos in town.

Great coffee shop-hip vibe-centrally located! You must visit while in Cape Town.
Nikhil ॐ Solanki
Amazing coffee! Owner is a great friendly guy. The croissant and eggs/bacon is the best. The location is perfect on the Main Road and easy access by Uber, MyCiti Bus etc. Def give a shot!
Craig Marc Christians
Great vibe, even better coffee! The owner and staff are really friendly and passionate about coffee and customer experience. You should definitely try it
Tomi Kulcsar
Won't be going back. Coffee was good, but manager refused to serve us tap water. Exploiting the water crisis to make a quick buck. Really pathetic.
Stephen Aggett
Coffee is definitely the best in South Africa. Always such wonderful service. Thank you Shift.

Best coffee shop in Cape Town and such a unique vibe. My #1 spot in CT
Wendy Bezuidenhout
Well done Luigi, great concept and the best red Cuppuccino I have had.
Michael Rossouw
Italian Croissant was amazing! Loved it so much I ordered another one!! I will be back!!!
Brad Peng
I was not satisfied and now I am happy it was an excellent experience from the owners side rectifying all the concerns. Will recommend anyone to visit again.

Great coffee, great people... and now with great music. Just the cream is missing!

If you need a kick under your ass, go here... Apart from the good coffee and tasteful atmosphere, it's good to come across an owner/barista that truly cares about his customers and has a talent to read your body language before you can open your mouth to say something - a talent that many lack.
Ryan Hill
Very welcoming staff. Perfect atmosphere. Will definitely come back.
Ashleigh Hay
I don't mind the cold so much if I'm inside this place ;-) Simply fabulous and a firm fave spot. The warmest service and a beautiful setting xoxo

My favorite coffee #BlackInsomnia Bit disappointing taking 6 friends for famous cupcakes only to arrive with none available
Farid Essack
Really poor service and inedible Avo on my wife’s breakfast. Son’s croissant arrived 20 mins after my omelette. Did not bother staying for coffee.

Janine
Was there sunday 30dec. Great food, terrible service. I wanted a special chocolate coffee after our meal but no waiter checked on us. After about 1/2 hour I paid the bill at the counter.

The best flat white in Cape Town!! Really good customer service and good breakfast too! They are centrally located, good ambience inside the cafe! Kid and pet friendly..

Such a good vibe on a Saturday morning with fun music playing and cheerful staff. The decor is so trendy! We had green tea, Americano and two croissants with Jam and Cheese. The croissants were divine but the Jam was one of the pre-packed individual servings. Would’ve been nice if they had their own Jam selection. The coffee was strong and aromatic so overall we enjoyed our breakfasts.
Jono
Staff were apologetic however they forgot our drink order and then after waiting for our meals for an hour they came back to say they did not have the ingredients for what we ordered. We left and they were kind enough to offer the drinks for free but the service needs a lot of work.
Yrina Pustella
We decided to pop for a breakfast, the food was average with reasonable prices and small portions.

I wouldn't say I was a fan of the fact that certain things, such as croissants, muffins, tarts, etc. Are on display where the sun is shinning strong on them.
Other than that, good atmosphere, friendly service.

I would give it a try, some other day.
Wanderlust Coffee
Coffee 4.5
Food 3
Service 5
Decor 3.5

Thank you for the friendly and good service! :) It really made it pleasant. Beautifully decorated inside. They have a big variety of coffees, which makes me excited to go again and try something else.

The portion of the breakfast was very small, but tasted good. The croissant would’ve tasted better if it was baked in an oven, because it wasn’t crispy enough, but still good. The coffee was tasty. I would’ve liked that they had more seats outside, as we wanted to sit there.

All in all, it’s still a lovely place. I’ll be going again.
Jessy Da Silva
Stopped by for a quick coffee, was quite full and window displays looked amazing.
great cappuccino just a little cold would prefer a nice hot cup especially on a rainy day!
Aidan Johnson
Our resident coffee spot, it’s intimate and has a staunch following of loyal regulars which isn’t surprising.

The breakfast croissant is a must and the Chilli Tea (called the Devils Hangover or something) is life changing if you are, in fact, hungover.
Reggie Strydom
Ordered the man-sized breakfast with scrambled eggs. Food was very mediocre, the eggs especially. One of the meals only arrived after my breakfast was finished.
Grant & Sam
A good flat white, although a tad on the small side. The croissants are ok, nothing more. Service is friendly, and they're happy for you to settle in with a book without constant checking in.

Odd system where you can't tip by card, only cash. Given that people rarely carry cash these days, it means the good service can still result in no tip.

Coffee 4.5 - Deco 4.5 - Service 4 - Food 4.5
You can see from the menu that owner has Italian origins and that’s visible in their coffee.
Place to visit
Best coffee in town! This is my first choice when it comes about coffee. Friendly owner and good service. Suggested for breakfast too, good croissants
Lucia Goncalves
It’s all so good, croissants, capuccino.
The place is very pleasent, clean with lots os variety
professional service and with a lot of sympathy
Eleanora Bresler
As a lover of coffee shops, I was told I must pop in here for a coffee which I promptly did this past weekend. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. TINY cappuccino which was served cold despite my asking for it to be hot. There was also an awful smell of drain wafting across our table to be told that it was because it was warm weather-huh?! The only concession was that the manager deducted one cappuccino from the bill as compensation. But not enough for us to go back I'm afraid....

What a great find!! This is why I love zomato

Searching for a coffee shop and then finding this gem!!

Great coffee
Awesome vibe
Favourite coffee shop
Azure Canister
I visited the shop that they have at the Waterfront so I decided to go to the other venue in Green Point. Same quality and service. Definitely one of my favourites coffee stops in town
Miguel Dos Santos
Drove around looking for a coffee shop with some nice cakes and this definitely hit the spot. The service was great and friendly. Great selection of coffee and teas. Nice cake selection and all was fresh. Very nice coffee shop

At Shift today. First thing I noticed walking in with the chairs shaped like coffee cups. Glad not all of the chairs look the same because it would have been too much. I liked the book nook With brown leather seating. The little tables that flank the wall are nice because they have a work light (mine didn't have a bulb) and easily accessible plugs. The copper lighting over the main bar counter is super cool.

Next to me was a blogger with full kit and the coffee shop wanted to be all shades of accommodating after hearing the word blog. Quote from staff "must I make a better looking coffee for your photo" ... I'm a firm believer in capturing the place as is and most certainly as unassuming as possible. It's what makes this community so great. If the place genuinely looks amazing through the eyes of the day to day customer you know you are trying the full treatment. If you coffee and food isn't good enough for people to see it don't serve it. My side rant aside back to my review.

Coffee - excellently brewed with really good microfoam *not consistent but still above average. The blend is incredibly smooth and definitely requires no sugar. I also like the branded cups in jet back.

Ordered the rock star sandwich. Simply put - the bread is awful. At this price point I expected my baguette to be a real one not a pre packaged number that bears far too close a resemblance to a subway foot long. Buffalo mozzarella shouldn't be near sad bread, it kinda defeats the point in having high quality ingredients then. Such a pity because the filling is super tasty. Please change this - CT has no shortage on supplying artisan bread or at least good quality baguettes or ciabatta. The menu is small enough to stock good quality staples.

Overall this is superb coffee - get a take away or maybe sip it reading a book or doing some email catch up. Until the bread thing is addressed I can't give my recommendation on the sandwiches. If this changes in the future let me know I would be interested in a follow up. Also don't favor the reviewers everyone deserves the same experience - it's actually a serious annoyance.

My score is a reflection on the favoritism and the bread.

Lovely little place with friendly staff. It's the perfect little cafe to go and do some work or reading at, with a hazelnut latte to warm your mind.

Beautiful little spot. Went there with my friends for brunch. Had an absolutely amazing time. Excellent service. Waiters are really friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing. Although it did take some time to be done. I would definitely go back. Nyiko Mathebula Didi Tsitsi

Modern little cafe on the pavement in green point. My Strong, hot coffee served early in the morning with a breakfast croissant was a treat. Many people strolled in and out, creating a hustled vibe and adding to the sidewalk cafe atmosphere.
Melissa Bdd
I was stayin at the cape royale for a few days and this was my favourite breakfast spot! I had the best croissants I ate in cape town. Really french style with chocolat or cheddar or even simple. To go with that they also had great coffee and fresh orange juice. I'm a european and really missed this kind of breakfast while in cape town!
Jamie Roller
Probably my favourite breakfast spot in Green Point: Fast, yummy and inexpensive food with friendly service and perfect coffee. Also love that you can sit and work there with using their wifi.

What a lovely little spot! Located on main road Green Point with plenty of parking. Very pleasant and elegant space, tastefully decorated.

Love the book cases, pristinely clean. Looks like a popular hang out for the locals.

The espresso coffee is excellent; rich, deep and strong. So good to see a coffee house getting it right and focusing on perfecting their craft.

Will be back for more.

Wow!! #sleepingischeating we got to experience Black Insomnia today. It comprises of all the elements of great coffee. The flavour; the boldness; the sweetness.. it hits all the notes. Was an amazing experience and meeting the man himself behind the name and the man behind the actual coffee end product was just the icing on the cake. You can not say that you've experienced real coffee unless you've experienced #BlackInsomnia

My brother and I came here for a quick coffee on the way back from the airport.

The atmosphere here is lovely and so is the setting. I really liked all the plant life by the outside counter.

I ordered a cortado which didn't quite look like it had 2 shots of espresso in it, but it had the perfect amount of micro-textured milk to cut the acidity.

My brother had one of the speciality coffees (the rebellion) which was absolutely fantastic! It was very sweet, but oh so delicious.

It's awkwardly out of the way for me, but I'd definitely come here regularly if it was more conveniently located.
Nicole Vrede
Best coffee in Cape Town and I work in town, surrounded by some of the best coffee spots.

Love the vibe here, staff are always friendly and always great options for some sweet treats.

This place is always cooking! Finding a table on a sunny weekend, is usually near impossible. The hip & happening set seem to hang here from dawn till dusk.

With the ultra fit cycling clique in one corner, groups of stylishly under dressed trendies all over and lots of eager tourists popping in and out, you may even spot a celebrity or two if you look carefully past the large, dark shades!

The decor is a stylish mix of industrial/vintage/modern fittings. Order your coffee and sandwiches at the counter and sit down to discuss the Dow Jones, latest party place or private school fees and wait. Because of the current popularity, you may get to discuss a lot before your food arrives. But at least you'll be in a cool place with a cool crowd (even if you are just an observer).

I love the setting...a trendy little outdoor area on a busy street looking across to the fan-walk in Green Point, it feels like an oasis in the busy city, the kind of place I would expect in Europe. Just had a great breakfast today...standard bacon and eggs with rocket and avo and some delicious bread, but perfectly prepared. I had been here a few times and had bitter coffee, but the owner, always seeking to improve, sorted it out and I just had a great cup. Well done Shift!

An early start in the city and i was very happy to find a coffee bar open. The smell of coffee greets you as you walk in and they already had a nice selection of light breakfast items to choose from.

Service was efficient and the product good. The croissant was maybe a little on the dry side but still fine. The combination of fresh mozzarella, tomato and Parma ham always a winner!
Jonathan Zurel
Friendly service and super convenient to stop and pick up a coffee on your way to work if you're coming from the Atlantic Seaboard into the CBD. Most importantly, the coffee is incredible. Great to see the industry upping its game like this. Well done guys.

Good service, friendly staff and delicious eats.
This cozy hookup is good for working/casual meetings. Wifi is available with the sound of alternative rock/retro background music.

Shift is a small and trendy coffee bar with friendly service and warm aromas. They have fun espresso mash ups. We tried the bearded junkie and the rebellion - loved them both.

Their menu is small but we tried two sandwiches - the hippie and the club. I personally felt there was too much lettuce in the sandwiches which is off putting. In the hippie, the Parmesan shavings were slithers which you could not even taste. My friend really enjoyed the club and even said it may be the best sandwich he has had. We also tried a slice of cheesecake and pastei ta nata which were both heavenly, the latter being one of the best I've had.

So overall, a great spot for some coffee and a quick bite. The highlights were definitely the club sandwich and the espresso. I really hope to see them using less lettuce in future, and more of the nicer ingredients.
Poor Man's Caviar
Another little gem on the GreenPoint drag.
Superb coffee and selection of gourmet sandwiches, salads, breakfast items and some delicious pastries and baked goods.

Awesome decor and design elements very much in tune with the Cape Town vibe and laid back feel.

Nice little courtyard to work away or have a catchup and super friendly staff.

Great spot.
SaraEats
I came across this place to have breakfast. They have a very good espresso here. I have ordered the scrambled eggs on avo toast and it was light and delicious. My friend ordered the croissant and it was very fresh and crispy.

For anyone who comes here I want them to try the caramel cake (I have posted a photo). I didnt try it but it looked soooo good. If you do please tell me :)

Follow me on Instagram @saraeatss
From Sara, with Love ❤️
The Cape Town Glutton
We decided to have a quick meet up with friends on a Saturday morning and landed up spending five hours at this awesome little spot! They seem to be super packed on Saturday morning and had run out of a couple of things but this didn't really bother us! We loved the vibe of their shop, their yummy sandwiches and most of all their great baked goods! If you are looking for a new meet up spot, this may be your place!
Anja Van Der Spuy
We went to Shift for lunch and both had the Club Sandwich. The staff are friendly and assertive, and the restaurant has a nice vibe. The sandwiches were good and they hit the spot, but they are actually quite basic. If you're willing to pay a bit more, you should opt for the more exotic ones. Coffee was great though!
Donna Chiang
Best Beef Baguette sandwich I've ever had! And a creative coffee/chocolate/ice cream beverage convocation you could ever dream of. Try the Italian plumber :). Nutella and ice cream in a drink ...Mmmmmmm
Chanel Pillay
This past weekend I had brunch at Shift, it was a sunny Sunday afternoon and the outside area was lovely.

To drink I had the Italian Plumber which was delicious, the perfect balance of everything, nutella and expresso and served cold it was delightful. (I highly recommend it)

To eat I ordered a breakfast croissant which was lovely. The croissant itself was so super fresh and bacon was delicious. I had a bite of my boyfriends Club sandwich and that was it, I had a major case of order envy. Definitely getting this sandwich the next time.

The service was good.

I found the prices to be very reasonable and you definitely getting quality. I highly recommend Shift to anyone.😊

Can't believe it took me this long to try out Shift. Possibly my favourite place in Cape Town after today. Great vibe with amazing food and coffee. I had the bearded junkie which is a must - espresso, Nutella and hazelnuts?! What more could you ask for. My boyfriend and his friend had the chemix (spelling possibly incorrect) but also a great choice. For lunch we had The Rockstar and The club which was delicious - fresh and tasty. The service was great, looking forward to my next visit which will be very soon!😀
Tabassum Smiley Aleem
Had such a good breakfast. The eggs, avo and rocket is highly recommended. I drank the bearded junkie which was espresso, nutella and microfoam topped with hazelnuts. I really took it because i thought it sounded cool and it was the best decision. The place has a great vibe. Also perfect for office away from office.
Pia Harris
Great coffee, friendly service. Delicious breakfasts and reasonably priced. Only thing is portions are a tad on the small side if you're a grown man - but I was happy!
Christa
Great vibe and amazing coffee! Even bikes to hire 👍 Definitely a place to bookmark for yourself and a friend.
Jessica Stromin
Shift is the perfect local hangout for great coffee, hipster vibes and a bit of European charm. Breakfast was a breakfast sandwich and an Italian croissant - both delicious - and a couple of freezochinos which are the best I've had in a long time!
Catharina
We regularly have breakfast on Saturdays here and it's great. The place is owner-run so the service is amazing, the coffee is strong and breakfast good. A great spot to pop in for a coffee on the run or to chill out for a while. You know you'll always walk out with a smile.
Ayrton Da Silva
Horrible service and rudeness left a terrible taste in our mouths. Was a mission to order and get service. Would not recommend under any circumstances.
Megan Bellinger
Shift is a place you are guaranteed good service, and a superb cup of coffee. Its quirk and charm makes you feel cool to sit there :)
They've created a really great brekkie menu, i had eggs and avo which was delicious, next time I'll be back for creamy oats!
Simon Trollope
I loved this coffee. It was an amazing bean and the place layout and feel was just spot on! A great experience and I'll be back within the next few days to buy some of their beans. By far one of my favorite joints... They have free wifi so you just go here with your laptop and coffee away ;-)
Zelmarie Beselaar
Italian Plumber. That's it. The best coffee in Green Point.

One falls in love with Shift Espresso bar from the first sip - that is, if the owner does not make you fall in love with the place first. He is very knowledgeable and will take newlings under his wing to teach them his coffee philosophy.

The rustic decor and friendly staff make you feel quite at home and they do take care of their regulars. Luigi asks whether he can order my Plumber as soon as I walk up to the entrance and always has an extra joke or two. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

Not only is the coffee of superb quality, the creations done by the barsitas are phenomenal! Oreos, nutella and vanilla gelato are used in different combinations, although the Italian Plumber remains my very firm favourite.

They also serve food, ranging from decadent salads (really, yes - I have had a glorious carpaccio and pine nut salad) to enticing sandwiches and desserts.
Shift holds a very dear place in my heart, and is the perfect place to relax with a friend for hours on end. They open a little earlier on weekdays and stay open later if there are a few customers left at closing time.

DEFINITELY worth the trip and I highly recommend trying one of their creations instead of your regular cappuccino!
Van Lee Johnson
Great experience // love the service and energy of the staff // nice spot to work / meet & eat // can't wait to try their coffee and the rest of the goods on their menu on my next visit.
Monique Mitton
This place is right on my doorstep, which already makes it one of the best places, because of no parking issues! Amazing coffee, very strong, but good. The service is superb! It's quite busy in the mornings, but well worth it.!
Cassy
I really enjoyed my first visit to Shift. Their iced coffees are super rich and delicious. I super keen to see the new additions to their menus. Their decor is fabulous, service is good & friendly and the cheesecake is decadent. I'll be returning frequently no doubt.
Sean Sassen
Nice decor, decent food selection, but for a place that is named around coffee the coffee was sub-par compared to the number of other cafés & roasteries in town.
Tarryn Bento
Shift Espresso is one of my new fave places. Small and cosy, with divine leather seating in the back under the bookshelves.... absolutely divine; I honestly did not want to leave.

I decided to try one of Shift's speciality coffees - I went with the Bearded Junkie, as suggested by the barista, but I WILL be back to try the Italian Plumber. The Junkie was really delicious - Nutella and espresso, guess you can't really go wrong!

There was also a nice selection of treats to be had, and although I didn't try any, they looked scrummy!

I can't wait to return!
Jenny Sarah Coulson
I love the vibe and decor at Shift. Dominique Andrea Vieira and I popped in for coffee the other day, and unfortunately Shift lost some points for me on this particular occasion. I asked for a decaf flat white, and when both of our orders came out and I asked which was decaf, the barista wavered for awhile, before boldly proclaiming one as caffeine-free because it was "lighter." Dom and I both ended up with double shots of pure caffeine which may have tasted good at the time but turned me into a shaky, anxious mess for the next 30 hours. (Nope, I did not sleep). Next time I'll go for rooibos and one of the delish-looking custard pastries.
Martin Levine
Great coffee, fresh food and in the perfect location in Greenpoint Cape Town. Trendy with a dash New York style. Menu is easy and simple. Free wifi as the 3G signal was weak.
Sasha Van Zyl
Comfortable, quirky space on Main Rd Greenpoint. Friendly staff with efficient service. The BEST italian croissant and cappuccino pairing in town. Lovely selection of speciality tea's too. A firm and frequent favourite.
Shae Leigh
Great coffee - not my favourite of the house blends I've tried but still good. Brewed at drinking temp and not too hot. Delicious brownies and the service is good and friendly. This is somewhere I'll come back to.
Conrad Jonck
Great space! These guys are serious about coffee, had a very good skinny cappuccino! Breakfast croissants were fresh with exceptional bacon. I will need to go back to try the treats on display.
Ruschka
Been so great to see this coffee shop grow and quickly become a Green Point favorite. Free wifi and delicious coffee means this makes a great work spot. The service is always super good and friendly. Love that the manager/owner is there almost every time I've been and quick to make sure you are happy and doing well. Haven't tried the food but can vouch for the Americanos and the hot ginger and chilli tea.
Dominique Andrea Vieira
Great coffee, served in a place with a little bit of an edge to give you that caffeine buzz you're after. The baristas are friendly, the wifi is strong and they don't mind if you set up camp with your laptop for a little while. A really nice coffee spot in Green Point. If it's a nice day - you can sit outside, if not, inside has a good vibe to it too.
Jenna Manthé
Sitting at the bottom of the beautiful Cape Royal, Shift is the perfect place to either pick up a coffee on the go, or grab a chair and spend hours working on your laptop (or in your book if you like keeping it real). One of the first things I noticed, apart from the lovely coffee aroma, was how each table is the perfect working desk - a lamp, a plug point and plenty space for your working gear and a few cups of coffee. I know it isn't a big deal for err'body, but plug points are practical and I like practicality. Oh, and of course they have wifi!

Now, onto what's actually important - their coffee. I went to Shift with the intention of having a hot cappuccino, but the lovely barista convinced me to have something completely different. Apart from having the usual lattes, macchiatos etc., they have 4 speciality coffees: Rebellion, Hashtag, Bearded Junkie and Italian Plumber. I'm obviously going to try them all eventually, but I started off with the Hashtag which has a double shot of espresso, vanilla gelato and oreos. 10 out of 10 - that is all!

Shift also offers an awesome book-nook with a comfy leather couch, yummy looking sweet treats, and lunch things like paninis filled with delicious goodies. I can definitely see myself losing track of time and sitting there for hours surrounded by their warm decor, friendly staff and amazing coffees. Give them a visit coffee kitties, I have no doubt you'll love Shift as much as I do.

We decided to try Shift Espresso after parkrun and were immediately wooed by the cool decor and good vibe. Coffees were tasty and food also, though basic. Service was fast though there were many mistakes - probably due to being so busy! Looks like a great spot for working on a laptop, with WiFi and coffee close at hand.
Phoebe Kondylis
A really great addition to Cape Towns coffee scene. The location is great with easy parking , the interiors are beautiful and the service is amazing, not to mention the beyond delicious coffee. The iced coffee is one of the best in Cape Town
Sarah Mason
Such an awesome find! The coffee is very good, with a few interesting options like Nutella coffee! The music was a great mix of everything and created a nice vibe to do some work or chat with a friend. Definitely worth the visit.
Jager Sisters
Yesterday we popped into Shift after seeing it listed on a list of top Cape Town coffee shops and had the best afternoon. The space is comfortable and the decor modern. There were some nice books to dip into near the couch where we sat drinking our delicious americanos and flat whites.

We also sampled their salads for lunch and the chicken, avo and mozzarella was delicious and a generous portion (as was the beef). There were a couple people working there so it seems like a nice chilled spot for a freelancer so we will definitely be back soon.
Cara Fay Glaser
Popped into shift to avoid load shedding at home the other day and I was blown away with the Trendy decor and interesting coffee options. The most innovative hot and cold twist on a usual coffee. Mom had a Nutella coffee and it was chocolatey goodness - I just had a usual cappuccino that was amazing!
Mademoiselle Nomad
This is a very trendy coffee shop. I love tea and they have a great selection with out-of-this-world blends. Tea comes in a hip cup with a timer. It's all very cool. The atmosphere is great - people working too on their laptops make it a good place to hang out, even solo. Being part of the luxury hotel makes it safe too.
Enzo Raffa
Love the spot.
Great selection of coffees, teas and something to bite, excellent hospitality.
I think they are fully licensed, so pop in for an afternoon drink.
Terence
I really love Shift Espresso bar. Luigi and staff absolutely amazing and friendly. Coffee is awesome. I Love it when a owner of a business engaging with patrons. A total breath of fresh air. Well done Luigi. I will definitely be back for more.
Dale Bedford
Best coffee on the strip in Green Point. Is there a morning we are not there? Also delicious if you want something sweet is the bearded junkie - dbl espresso Nutella decadence
Nicola George
Good coffee and some interesting signature coffee specialities. Selection of teas, sandwiches and baked goods. Comfortable steampunkesque decor and friendly service. Plugs at most tables (plus usb ports outside) for mobile offices.
