Rock pool is the perfect place to go on a summers day! Have been a couple of times and the food is always consistently good, and reasonable for the portion size and quality. Their salads, pizza, tapas and burgers are good. The service could be better but it’s proven to always be a good place to go when in the area.
What a great place. The service was wonderful – the hostess was welcoming and our waitress was super friendly and attentive (something you don’t see that often).
The restaurant had a very relaxed and laid-back vibe, but you can dress up if you want to and you’ll still fit in.
I had the home-made ice tea and it was so nice and refreshing. Their gin cocktails are the perfect drink to enjoy whilst looking out over the bay and they look marvellous. Our one friend had the chicken strips and chips and she said it was very tasty (and it looked great too).
I’d say RockPool is the perfect spot to unwind after a long day, or to catch up with old friends over a few gins and tasty ice teas. Will be back for lunch soon ;)
First time! Will definitely be going back! Just had a quick cocktail, the long island ice tea (R75) a bit pricey but was a big glass with a well prepared drink. Would love to taste their food soon! Love the fact that they use eco-friendly paper straws
Last night I decided to come back to RockPool after a good year of not coming here. I was so happy to see that nothing has changed. The food is still fresh and good quality. The vibe is great. And the waiter was so attentive. A great place for Friday night dinner and vibes.
Had some burgers with my colleagues here. The food was alright, the service great and the general feel of the place was quite vibey. The outside section also looks onto the promenade although we were unlucky enough to be there when there was renovation in progress :(
Visited this cozy little nook again, and once again a lovely experience! This was our 3rd time here. Service is friendly, atmosphere always vibrant, and food and drinks are very good. Will definitely return.
What I have had here: pizza, strips of something, salad
3 words to describe the place: VIEW, VIBE, & YUMMINESS
Recommendation: pizza /snacks
Rating: GREAT
Tip: Sometimes there is a wait

+3.5
Lovely spot in the heart of sea point with a great view of the ocean. The food and service I would say was airing on the average side with very little enthusiasm from the staff.
Came here with friends from overseas. They absolutely loved the vibe and were in the mood for seafood. Food and drinks did take a while but was really good. Portions are not huge. The calamari and chips were beautiful and full of crunchy batter. Will definitely be back out of festive season.
I always enjoy this place, it's always vibey and busy whenever I'm there. Always have the pizza, most certainly one of the best pizzas around Cape Town and Joburg, even pizza in Italy doesn't really compare :)
Coffee 2 - Deco 3.5 - Service 2 - Food (didn’t try)
3.5 because the manager was nice and attentive and is not their fault if Bootlegger coffee is so bad.
Coffee tasted bad (confirmed by my friend too), waiter was completely absent and disconnected, luckily the manager was attentive and nice. Nice view
Love the vibe and sea front view! Very nice comfy coaches to chill on or reserve for groups. Very nice food and cocktails, perhaps a little bit pricey. Service quick and friendly.
Nice neighborhood spot at Seapoint with a view out to the Atlantic. Plenty of seating indoors and out, with a smooth transition from sunset to evening. Service was competent, efficient, and friendly. The pizzas all looked amazing. We went with La Vie (avo, feta, bacon) with a side of pesto. It was stellar. The kingklip was a bit salty for our tastes, but perfectly cooked nonetheless.
Manager checked in with the diners which is always a welcome touch. Might have to come back during our next couple of nights in CPT!
Great service and great food, stunning sunset and beautiful venue... What more could we ask for.
Places like these give Cape Town the name it deserves!
I went here in a date with my girlfriend at sunset and I just say that the view of the sunset was magnificent. The cocktails and salad that I had was very enjoyable, the grilled chicken salad was fresh and the cocktail had a kick to it, it was called the jungle bird. Friendly waitrons and good prices.
May I just say that the jalapeno peppers are absolutely incredible, to die for. Love sitting on the couches and looking out at the ocean view. Great ambiance. Service a bit slow, I understand a Wednesday afternoon isn't prime time, but maybe thats exactly why you should be a bit more attentive.
Incredible service. Delicious food. Perfectly central so you can enjoy the sea view & best of all...it's dog friendly. The staff welcomed us & our very fury kids with excellent service & big smiles. Hope to be back!
Great place for a sundowners drink 🍹
Helpful waiter, great view and good cocktails.
Didn't try out any food but keen to go back and try out their tapas !
Stopped by for cocktails. The RockPool has a really nice view of the ocean and I have seldom seen it not packed to capacity. Despite being full service is quick and the staff are always friendly. I sipped on Piña Coladas for the evening and they were great. A bit more coconut and it would have been a tropical paradise.
i came here for my birthday lunch and i had the delicious panko prawns for starters and then the grilled fish with chips, delicious as well. The staff were really friendly and attentive.
The location is prime, it's right on the promenade, with the best ocean views. (try get an outside table if weather is good) The vibe was really relaxed and i am definitely going back.
Went to Rockpool last night with my boyfriend for a spur-of-the-moment dinner. Arrived and was warmly greeted and seated immediately.
We sat for about 15 minutes with no waiter in sight, being a waiter myself I thought he might be busy and to give him some time.
Ordered a bottle of wine, which arrived within minuted and ordered a popper starter. A waiter placed our starter on the table and just simply walked off after being called too, ignoring us completely.
The poppers were absolutely amazing, soft to bite and not too hot. Very well complimented by the sweet chilli sauce they offered. Shortly after we ordered mains, the bacon and mushroom pasta and the jalapeño burger. Once again, amazing. Good portions and very flavourful. Ordered two Rockpool milkshakes for dinner and we were shocked by the size. Enjoyed the milkshakes so much.
Overall the food is worth it. Would definitely go back. Service however disappointed me a little. I hope to receive better care next time I visit, it would make my experience a lot better.
I'm giving this a 4 cause the only thing I was sad about is that there was no rockpool there. Food was chilled vibes, had poppers (of course) it didn't make my top 5 but hey it wasn't bad...fish was great, drinks were great...where's the rock pool though?
Rockpool is vibey with an outdoor deck, a perfect place for meeting friends for drinks whilst soaking up the hot summer's sun, with a great seaview and people enjoying being outdoors on the Sea Point promenade.
They have a great variety of cocktails to choose from. For me nothing beats an elegant, citrusy G&T garnished with rosemary, lemon and cucumber. It's simply delicious and refeshing and a great drink to quench the thirst - especially when it's served ice cold.
You can also find different types of food on the menu such as pizza, tapas, seafood, pasta only but to name a few. We snacked on crispy jalapeno poppers stuffed with bacon, cream cheese, cheddar and smoked mozzarella. Super tasty and spicy the jalapeno.
Overall an enjoyable atmosphere with great cocktails and a wonderful view - perfect combination!
Absolutely superb setting for a pizza and a cocktail on a boiling day. I had a Regina pizza, which is ham and mushroom. The base was perfectly thin and crispy, every piece was a treat. I also had a 'Cape Town G&T', which has truly changed my life for the better. The combination of Hopkins on Hope gin, Fitch and Leedes tonic, rosemary, lemon and cucumber make this so much more than just a G&T.
What a fantastic place for a weekend lunch in Cape Town! With an awesome view of the Sea Point Promenade and some fantastic service there's not much to complain about. The food was also delicious and our table could not come to a conclusion what whose pizza was the best because they were all so amazing 👍🏻
The place lacks charm in decor but is always packed and serves great food. I have had pizza there a few times and it was always amazing. They also do a great pina colada
This is such a great venue as it is so close to the Seapoint promenade. It is a fantastic location for sundowners and always feels very festive. The venue feels very relaxed while feeling somewhat glamourous at the same time. The cocktails are delicious and the pizza is incredible too.
Such a great location and always a vibe. If only the service reflected this. I wish they had more staff on the floor to give all their patrons equal attention.
Other than that, their pizzas are awesome and the sunset views are to die for.
Rockpool is located on a prime spot in sea point over-watching the promenade. We visited for lunch on a blisteringly hot day and picked a spot on the benches outside. Service was slightly slow, but they were quite full. We were soon greeted by a waiter and ordered drinks; we had a rock shandy and a gin & tonic. The drinks were extremely refreshing especially given the hot weather.
We then ordered the grilled Mediterranean chicken and the fish and chips. The chicken was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The tomato, capers, and olives accompanied the chicken well and provided a light and fresh touch. The fish and chips was definitely the star, the batter was light, crispy, and well seasoned. There was a hint of chilli in the batter which was an unusual yet delightfully surprising touch. The fish was well cooked, moist, and flaky.
Rockpool is a great spot for a casual and relaxed dining experience. The food is good, but slightly overpriced. It is a shame that the service was a bit of a let down. We would return for a meetup with friends, but will not make a concerted effort to return as it is a bit pricey.
THE FOLLOW UP...
For those that don't know, about a month ago I reviewed rockpool with not the most favourable outlook on the food that I experienced. As such after the review rockpool contacted me and invited me back to experience what they really made of. Am I glad I gave them another try? Absolutely!
This time around we tried the steak bearnaise, chilli poppers and the calamari. While I wasn't sold on the calamari, the other 2 starters were fantastic! The perfect amount of butter and tarragon in the bearnaise sauce and the perfect crunch on the popper.
And then when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did! The pizza was absolutely delicious and piled with toppings. I really was impressed this time around. Service was super attentive and management really went the extra mile to make us feel special, even with the very generous comp on the bill. I definitely can say I'll be back for more :) and not only for the tasty food but to a place that really cares about their customers patronage (which is a difficult find these days)
Went here twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner and loved the place! So beautifully situated close to the sea so you have a beautiful view if you sit outside. The atmosphere is lovely, food is good but there is not a huge variety. Service is very good and the cocktails are great. It's a lovely place for a quick meal with an awesome view. Theu are busy so try book if you can! Their breakfasts are great! I really enjoyed eating here.
I feel that Green Point/ Sea Point doesn't have a lot of watering holes but this place is a great place to go, have a few drinks, have a bite to eat and chill.
We had a few drinks and chilli poppers which were pretty good.
Service is decent and always checking in what you need.
But the vibe and the company was what made it a great place.
I'd go back
Pleasantly surprised with Rockpool. I had the battered hake and chips which was perfectly done and super tasty. The new owners who have taken over this restaurant (which used to previously be called Le Vie) have successfully turned this restaurant around.
The perfect location on sea point promenade! There is nothing better than refreshing cocktails on a hot summers day. I have friend calamari and side salad. The calamari was delicious and crispy and not oily. My friend had the mushroom burger and he said it was divine. Since moving to sea point i finally have the opportunity to try out all the restaurants in the area and this is definitely a top notch place to go to.
Lovely spot on Beach road for afternoon drinks. Very lively with closely arranged tables as well as lounge seating areas with low coffee tables fur maximum relaxation.
Good comprehensive menu offering burgers, pizzas, salads, wraps as well as starters/tapas items. We had a garlic focaccio which was crispy & tasty. The bacon & cream cheese stuffed poppers, crumbed and deep fried were hot & fiery as jalapenos promise to be!
We sipped beer and cocktails and enjoyed the late afternoon sun.

One of my favorite restaurants. Good food and Mojitos. The waffle is delicious . Great vibe and location. The waiter just need to understand that they are not only there to serve but to make us feel at home and welcome by asking how was the food and if we are okay. But I'm always happy to go there and will always come back.
A casual spot you can grab a few drinks and some basic food such as pizzas, burgers and nachos. Great for a social occasion and food won't disappoint.
You'll drive past this restaurant in Sea Point immediately thinking "expensive". I did as well until I decided to sit down and actually experience it. And I am not sorry at all. Reasonable prices for the food you'll get but more the atmosphere. Not only from within the restaurant but you are by the sea. I'll see you soon RockPool
I spent this past Saturday at La Vie, which is now called RockPool. This is my second time visiting, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although not able to make a reservation beforehand, this didn't prove to be an issue, as (although it was quite busy) myself and my friend were able to be seated outside, with a great view.
They have a great variety of cocktails to choose from. She had Mojitos and I stayed with Castle Lite. When it came to roaming the menu - I was quite startled by the lack of vegetarian options (only one) and NO vegan options. I ended up ordering the Quinoa salad sans feta, which ended up being mostly leaves. My friend enjoyed her pizza.
All-in-all we stayed for a while and enjoyed the atmosphere, great weather and cold beverages. They need to think about bulking up their vegetarian and vegan options.
Great food great location great ocean views restaurant modern inside. The best way to eat a pizza for a chilled afternoon. Thanks for the great service.
Right off the promenade in sea point. Lovely decor inside. The menu is small but contains something for everyone! The grilled hake and salad was super tasty but maybe half the quantity of fish and decrease the price (pretty expensive) the La Vie pizza was great. The pepperoni pizza stole the show - everyone raved about it! Will be back for more drinks and food soon
We went to Rock Pool for lunch while holidaying in CPT. I had a strawberry daiquiri which was delicious and not too sweet. I ordered the nachos, which were good but had a bit too much bacon on top. My boyfriend had a chicken burger which he said was great!
The service was friendly and efficient. All round a good experience and a chilled vibe. I'd definitely go back.
What counts in its favour is the location location location. The benches and the large cushioned window seat is always sundrenched. Opposite Rocklands beach and the Sea Point Promenade, you'll always see tables of beautiful people here. Service is fine and an omelette with coffee is always enjoyable.
This is my hang out spot all summer long in Seapoint. It has the most sought after views of the promenade, and honestly the best spot to kick back and watch the sunset with a cocktail. I love that they have a sugar free cocktail option (for a few bucks more..) the food is good, simple homely food. The chicken salad is by far my favourite thing on the menu.
So this is definitely a place you opt to go to during the Summer months In cape town as the view calls for the perfect sunset and lots of cocktails, but alas, the weather wasn't on our side. It is also unfortunate as this eliminates seating for about 30 people, nevertheless we indulged on the calamari and chips(cajun) and The La Vie pizza (bacon feta Avo). The calamari is tasty, the chips crispy, but the portion is modest. I would say the same for the pizza. It's more of a topped foccaccia bread. Overall, pleasant.
This prime location cafe has managed to combine pub, cocktail lounge, pizzeria and easy eating lunch cafe into one... All while you play a game of scrabble or watch the rugby. I do feel that their identity is lost but it does cater for everyone who happens to wander in from the promenade. Wear your running gear for breakfast or dress up for your ladies cocktails... You're all welcome at this easy going pub / cafe. I had an absolutely delicious grilled chicken salad (I was surprised) paired with a side of chips (why not... Considering the contradictions). I'd return for a runners breakfast, glass of red scrabble night or ladies cocktail lunch (I may even throw in a beer during the game!) I would appreciate of they cleaned the tables and removed the sticky pub benches... Uuurg and renovated thee bathrooms!
Really good pizza, friendly service, and interest from management which we appreciated. Cosy atmosphere and relaxed vibe. Unisex bahrooms are a bit weird but clean.
I am SO impressed by the Rock Pool Cafe Bar!
Located on Beach Road in Sea Point, I was entirely expecting to be served below average food for a fortune as is so often experienced in these sorts of areas!
However I was more than pleasantly surprised and proved completely wrong. Starting with our incredibly attentive waiter who ensured our Bubbly never dropped below half a glass, we were well looked after throughout the evening with top class service, despite the fact that they were full during peak dinner time on a Friday!
The food was fabulous - crispy, thin crust pizzas loaded with toppings, generous salads and deliciously fresh fish! All of this and surprisingly easy on the pocket. I am sold, will definitely be visiting them again - wonderful location and great offerings tick all the right boxes :)
Favorite restaurant in Cape Town, laid back atmosphere with awesome food and fabulous cocktails. The view is a bonus and service is great. Perfect place to sip on cocktails and watch the sunset
Ideal spot for a casual lunch on a sunny day in Cape Town. Relaxed atmosphere and view of the sea keep it real, while the food is delicious and reliable. Have the La Vie pizza or one of their monster burgers, coupled with a cocktail or a cold beer. Book the couches if you can for a lazy afternoon or sundowners. A firm favourite!
UPDATE: Had breakfast here with a few friends. They don't deliver as much on breakfast as they do on their afternoon menu, but it was still pleasant! Eggs Benny was nice but hollandaise was curdled slightly, and avo with poached eggs was actually premade guacamole. Coffee was good though and so was service.
UPDATE: The chilli poppers are amaaaaazing!
Visited this spot a few days ago and I was surprised to see that they have changed their name. The menu is the same with a few new additions and small price hikes. The vibe is exactly the same being a relaxed dining experience with a sea view. I've always experienced good service here.
I've enjoyed the breakfast in the past which features some good dishes. Most recently we stopped for a quick lunch and I had The Greek pizza - one of the few vegetarian options. Pizza was great as usual and they were generous with the toppings.
Overall, great spot with nice good and friendly service. Always enjoy the pizza here.
When there on a afternoon for some nachos with my boyfriend!
The service was a bit slow but very friendly!
The corner with the cushion is so nice
There is a nice relaxed vibe here. The drinks are good (even the virgin ones). The food was tasty and served quickly, the waiter service was also surprisingly fast and friendly, something I don't often experience in similar establishments. A great spot for sun downers.
Never really thought about reviewing these guys. It's the kinda of neighbourhood cafe that's just there that one probably takes for granted.
That said its actually not just locals from Sea Point filling it up. Far more relaxed and less pretentious that it's Camps Bay equivalents, it's a great spot to chill with the ocean in view.
Very chilled vibe. Reflected in the service - waiters are a little too chilled.
Food is at a standard as reflected in my rating.
Good enough to keep me going back.
The ideal sundowner spot in Sea Point and, in my heart, Cape Town.
La Vie always has a friendly, exciting ambience that meshes well with the activity happening around you on the Prom.
The views are awesome, so you can always be treated to magical sunsets and cloud formations.
I highly recommend their pizza, it's very addictive and they don't skimp on the toppings. I always do the La Vie (bacon, avo feta).
Have tried their burgers, which are also outstanding. Be warned, the chilli poppers are intense!
Cocktails are truly awesome, best I have had in CT. The La Vie Daiquiri and their margaritas are not to be missed.
Good points:
- Open seating with long window seats for birthdays or special occasions
- They can even do platters for you if you let them know
- Have been too many times to count and every time service is top notch, there's always someone on the floor
Downside:
- It can get really busy so you if you're keen for sundowners, try book.
- The Cape Doctor can be harsh sometimes!
One of the best pizza places in Cape town. Not badly priced. Beautiful view. Great place to cool down on a hot sunny day and loads of draft beer 🍻
The La Vie daiquiri will change your life. For the better. Friendly staff. Friendly patrons, come to think of it. Going back to try the food!
It was a beautiful day out at sea point and we decided to find a place with views of the ocean. La Vie was fantastic for this.
Ordered the bacon and guacamole burger (good though I've had better in CT) and a mojito. It really did go down well. My friends had the pizzas which they declared were great.
Money for value? Not bad considering the location on beach road. Definitely a great place for sundown cocktails. But just beware as it gets hectically busy.
Sea Point's must-visit sundowner spot. Pizza's are good, service friendly and the people-watching excellent. The burgers are good too! And yes, dogs are welcome
They have a beautiful view of the ocean. The restaurant is doggy friendly so you can stop for a cocktail and bite to eat after a nice walk along the promenade.
Gorgeous food. Ordered fish and chips, so fresh and tender. Crispy spicy cheesy dreamy nachos. Lovely view as well. The service was a bit slow
La Vie is my favorite! I come here a lot, sometimes to eat and sometimes just for a couple of drinks or sundowners. They never disappoint! Fabulous view, great vibe and cold wine- it doesn't get better than that! I can definitely recommend their Pizzas!
I am in love with this place! The food was superb and service was more than amazing, actually so far the best we have had. Come here at sun set to have a drink and eat great food with family and friends. It's so busy so prepare to share tables and squash, but it's so Cape Town I love love loved it. P.s. managers matte d and waitress too awesome!!
Simplistic, down to earth and beachy. Stopped over for a light lunch and an ice cold craft beer. A lively place for a view and friendly service.
Sea view, easy parking, walk on the promenade afterwards - great way to spend a Saturday morning! Food is fresh - eggs Benedict really delicious (I asked for my baby spinach to be raw, not wilted and I'm glad I did). They serve Bootlegger coffee which is always a great addition to a breakfast.
I've eaten here a few times and I've always had a great meal! It is the perfect place to sit outside on a hot summers day with the view of the ocean! Their burgers are delicious and a really decent helping! I always have the pineapple and cheese chicken burger. Their cocktails are also really good! The service can be a bit slow at times but overall I've only ever had a great time at la vie!
We went here for a friend's birthday drinks. La Vie is epic, and then some. Great service, awesome view, perfect location and great food it seems. Our table only had pizza, but in my opinion it was some of the best pizza I've had in Cape Town for a while. I'm generally fussy about pizza but I found these pizzas surprisingly delicious. Dying to try the rest of the menu and will definitely be back on a gorgeous summers day soon.
If you want to have your mind blown. La Vie is the place to go. A sea view, a salty taste on your lips, the sun beating down on your face, what more could you want... Other than the delicious cocktails/wine and pizza. Generally seems to be a younger crowd and no lack of laughter in the air.
So I've been to La Vie a few times before but my last experience really stood out. I went for lunch with a friend on a nice sunny day, sitting outside and having a real relaxing time, sipping cold water and a nice Sauvignon Blanc. We decided to go for something fresh and shared the Caesar Salad with extra avo and the veggie wrap, both of which were amazing. Service was quick and friendly, view was amazing, and I'd be back in a heartbeat. Great place!
Delicious food, epic location and decently friendly service.
A good variety of food (burgers, pizza, sandwiches, seafood) and drink options. Everything a seaside bar requires.
Had such great cocktails and lunch there yesterday. The Cape Town Gin and Tonic was such a refreshing and delicious cocktail - I'd highly recommend it. Quinoa salad was decent and fresh. I've had their gluten free pizza before as well and it's very tasty with a crispy base. All in all it's a really great summer spot.
We had our farewell with our friends here. It was truly lovely. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitly be going back!
La Vie is in a perfect location and a really chilled vibe. Watching the sea point sunset over drinks is just lovely. Service was friendly and attentive, wine was good and food was delicious. I would recommend the pizzas as all are really well made with lots of toppings. I had the prego chicken and tasted the La Vie, salads seem a little overpriced for what you get, burgers looked massive!
La Vie is a winner if just based purely on its location. Absolute stunner views of the sea and prom in Seapoint. You can trust the restaurant to have a great bustling atmosphere on a summer's day, the outdoor seating area is great. Food is good and their drinks selection is vast - they have Hunters on tap too which isn't too common and serves well for the non-beer people. I usually grab a burger or pizza but their breakfast menu is yummy too. Service is fine - nothing out of the ordinary as waiters could be a bit more on-the-ball... however if you're there for a relaxed meet up, it shouldn't phase you that much :)
What a great vibe! Great spot for summer. We really enjoyed our food, and they have a large variety of yummy cocktails. I did, however, struggle to justify paying R30 for a bottle of tap water, which tasted horrible.
Best homemade ice tea I've ever had, and amazing breakfast! Great place to sit and look at the view (in my case, the Cape Town Marathon😄).
Breakfast was really good, with reasonable prices and generous portions. We had a lovely waitress serve us. The only instance where we felt we might have waited too long was when we had to pay. This is a lovely spot on the beach road of Sea Point, with views of the promenade. If you're lucky, you'll be able to watch the paragliders land across the street. Really chilled atmosphere with a 80s / 90s playlist.
Nice place and the pizza is so good ♥️
I've tried the Margarita and another one with BBQ Chicken 👍🏼
The staff was very friendly
Very pleasantly surprised by how good the salads were! Roasted veg salad is excellent, as is the quinoa salad. Services could've been better but the place was packed - would definitely visit again, but on a weekday when it's less noisy.
It’s always a good idea to come to Rockpool, chilled vibes and great food, not to Mention affordable prices!! I always eat the same thing, chicken strips with fries!! Good portion and very delicious!! And they have a great a selection of wines too.
Breakfast / brunch:
The food was all DELICIOUS! We were rather disappointed the croissants sold out by about 10:30am, but did manage to get one before this which was so good 🤤🥐
The waitress was very attentive, and warned us before we ordered that the food would take a while (I appreciated the honesty). It was surprising the food was slow to arrive as the restaurant wasn’t particularly full.
Lovely setting - we saw a whale in the sea from our table! 🐳
A good meal and I look forward to the next visit.
I cannot rave enough about my experience. It was my 30th birthday yesterday and first time at Rockpool where I decided to have my birthday dinner with my closest friends. The food was SO good. Pizza is the yummiest I've tasted so far (and I've had a lot of pizza from all over Cape Town). Well done to the service though. The drinks came out within minutes of ordering. My party guests were well looked after by a wonderful waitress named Noma. She looked after my friends and I as she could tell it was a big deal for me for my night to be smooth. The food didn't take long, was tasty and the vibe was just right. Honestly well done to her and rest of the staff here. Thanks to Dewald as well for ensuring that my tables were booked and for the right amount of people. Overall experience is a definite 10/10. Will definitely be returning.
Had a pleasant time here.
I don't know what to say was the most 5/10 place I've been to. If generic sea food restaurant was a thing I'd be this place, everything you except it to be
The price you expect
The waiters you'd expect it was very middling
Which is not to say bad but it lacks anything interesting or orginal going on. Doesn't even have that classic sea side view that most sea food places aim for
Really awesome spot. Great friendly staff. Dog friendly. Pleasant view across the road which is a bit noisy and you get the odd exhaust fumes.
We were looking for a spot for sundowner cocktails with a sea view. Boy. Did we get what we were looking for! From the friendly waitress who greeted us at the front to the guy at the back who discussed the chicken strips and my age - it was a gem. The pina colada was chilled and tasty and had actual pineapple pieces. The Long Island tea was fantastically chilled and went down very well. We also ordered some chicken strips who were tasty and I think air fried as they were not oily but done to perfection. It came with a sweet chilli sauce. For the views it gets three stars and the cocktails gets it another five stars. Perfect end to a table mountain trip. We will definitely be back
Update. We had the new platter offering Ocean view and it was enough for two and a half people. The fried fish was falling apart good and tasty and the fries done perfectly. The pina colada was great as usual and so was the service. Well done. Again
