We heard from a friend that this restaurant was good and we MUST go there. From the street it didn't look great, but as you go inside you start to experience something that's rare these days. The waitress was superb and before long the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to welcome us and discuss the menu. Kyle is a likable guy and gave my fiancé and I great recommendations from the specials. His wife is usually the sommelier but on this occasion she wasn't there. We had a lovely romantic dinner that was Michelin quality.... Highly recommended.

The Shop. Short, easy to remember. But... The Shop is mostly unforgettable because of the the 2F: Food and Friendly ! We arrived a bit past 18:00 o'clock and no other customers inside. But, fast forward 30 minutes and 5 tables ,excluding ours, were already occupied.
The food experience was something unique. The Carpaccio was really unbelievable... and I could make the comparison quite easily since just the night before I had Carpaccio at a different restaurant. The Filet, Sirloin and Venison were cooked to a mouth watering perfection. Desserts were good, not too sweet. So, as far as the food goes, 5 stars ✨ no questions asked.
The restaurant has a nice layout, with an open kitchen concept where customers can see the cook at its best. Well spaced tables, no bumping into the chair next to you. Speaking of chairs... I found them a bit small and kind of out of style. They are not very comfortable sitting on them for a long time. So that gets 4 stars ✨
That makes this place a 4.5 star place.

Lovely little restaurant with friendly, efficient staff serving a limited menu (which helps keep the food fresh) plus daily 'specials' - and including some of the finest fillet steak around... All that with a nicely selected wine list... No hesitation, if you're in the area, go there!

Such a great little find with a very welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff, good wine and great food. Will definitely pay a visit next year when we’re back from London.

Heavenly food! Popped in for dinner and there is a lovely casual style vibe here with simply amazing food. Great service too. We had the roast cauliflower and potato gnocchi with a delightful lemon pot pudding to end off our meal. Really great flavors and combos in everything and was all perfectly done! Well done

For good food and service look no further. I wish i took some photos to share. Tastiest food I've eaten on my capetown holiday so far including a lot of the very popular spots. The hospitality has also been second to none. Our host described the food as simple good and tasty and we were blown away. I've eaten at and reviewed quite a few restaurants and to say this is a meal ill remember is something special.

Great all round restaurant. Steak was perfect .. Gnocchi main was more on the starter portion size. Chocolate torte bit dry. Will definitely go back again to try other dishes.

Simple basic menu with steak and chicken featured. The main event is the specials board. Fresh and changing daily, well cooked and presented. Chef and staff are very friendly and keen that you have a good experience.
You need to book as this small restaurant is busy. We did manage to eat without booking, but we were early and the restaurant filled quickly.
