We heard from a friend that this restaurant was good and we MUST go there. From the street it didn't look great, but as you go inside you start to experience something that's rare these days. The waitress was superb and before long the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to welcome us and discuss the
The Shop. Short, easy to remember. But... The Shop is mostly unforgettable because of the the 2F: Food and Friendly ! We arrived a bit past 18:00 o'clock and no other customers inside. But, fast forward 30 minutes and 5 tables ,excluding ours, were already occupied.

Lovely little restaurant with friendly, efficient staff serving a limited menu (which helps keep the food fresh) plus daily 'specials' - and including some of the finest fillet steak around... All that with a nicely selected wine list... No hesitation, if you're in the area, go there!
Such a great little find with a very welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff, good wine and great food. Will definitely pay a visit next year when we’re back from London.

For good food and service look no further. I wish i took some photos to share. Tastiest food I've eaten on my capetown holiday so far including a lot of the very popular spots. The hospitality has also been second to none. Our host described the food as simple good and tasty and we were blown away.
Great all round restaurant. Steak was perfect .. Gnocchi main was more on the starter portion size. Chocolate torte bit dry. Will definitely go back again to try other dishes.
Simple basic menu with steak and chicken featured. The main event is the specials board. Fresh and changing daily, well cooked and presented. Chef and staff are very friendly and keen that you have a good experience.
