The "Portuguese Embassy" is a Cape Town legend. I haven't been there in quite a number of years, but after a quick lunchtime visit last week, I'm happy to report that the atmosphere and food is still awesome!
We arrived at 2pm to try and find a place to watch the world cup rugby. It was already full. The owner had a table for his family. He asked us to join them. It was an amazing evening, spent with wonderful people. Thank you my son Josh and I will always remember this.
Fantastic local bar, great for watching sports or having food and a drink. Good quality food freshly cooked and served by excellent friendly staff. Well worth a visit if your in the area.
We had a birthday party for 8 people, MO and his team added balloons, birthday card and cake as extra. Such joy. Over whelming and grateful for the love and care. Thank you. Love the Andre fam. We will all be back.
2 meals here in a week. Fantastic Portuguese food at reasonable prices.
It is a landmark of heritage in the restaurant/pub space in town! The best Portuguese food you will have in the western cape! The staff have been working at the place north of 15 years! The food is flavourful and well prepared. Big selection of bears and nice international wines. I have been going
Had an incredible meal that was massive! Really enjoyed the beef trinchado! The sauce was unbelievable and made for the perfect "dip" for my fries. Would love to try the restaurant again!

Lots more parking just across the road in Cape Quarter. They have a reputation for excellent food, mostly appealing to the carnivores. Good selecti
Best half peri peri chicken I've had in a long time. Juicy and hot. Food arrived quickly and tasted great. Nice lunch time spot and great to watch sports on TV.
Joined some friends for some beers and lunch before the Springboks game against Wales and the vibe was awesome. Will definitely recommend and visit again.
This is an amazing place to watch sport and have an authentic Portuguese meal! This was my first time going there and I look forward to going back again soon
The moment you enter Vasco, it is clear that a good time is waiting for you. It is a fantastic restaurant in which people of all different backgrounds can sit-down and enjoy a delicious course of meals and some beer. The service is excellent and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed a
Visited this place to watch the Rugby match between SA and New Zealand. The food was impeccable and the vibe was great. Will definitely recommend.
An institution and a must if you love Portuguese food. Espatadas were made with garlic margarine and not butter. The rest of the food was delicious. Staff attentive. Needs more ladies loos especially if staff sit in them for long periods of time.
Love this place. 3 years between visits and it's the same great vibe, great food, great service. Kudos. Must visit in Cape Town without a doubt
