The five stars are for the roasted vegetables. They were delicious. The presentation of the salad was beautiful and the steak was cooked correctly to my liking and nicely seasoned. I noticed that service in South Africa differs greatly from service in the US. Servers do not come by the table as often to check on you. The difference isn't a big deal because you can still easily get their attention and you can take your time without feeling rushed.

I had the steak diane, which was very nice, but the creamy mushroom sauce on top of it was a bit salty. The fries and onion rings were very nice, and the service was good.

Right on the waterfront with indoor and outdoor seating. Creative plating and delicious food! Highly recommend the Hawaiian Burger, Garlic Roll, Mushroom Chicken, and Caesar Salad!

We enjoyed our time there as a group. Godfrey was our server. He recommended the zebra when I said that I wanted to try one of the venison dishes. It was tender and not too gamy. I’d order it again. We ordered several salads that looked and tasted delicious. The service was fast and the food was hot. It has a nice ambiance. We were not there on a day with good weather so I’d definitely return to sit outside and enjoy the view.

We booked through Waterfront Charters cruise. Very limited options, especially for people who are allergic to certain foods.
The food was okay, but there was nothing to write home about.

We had a great time here amidst the hustle and bustle of big groups of tourists also needing extra attention. The servers did well attending to it all very calmly. Samantha was extremely calm and served us with a smile and some welcoming humour. Our meals were delicious.
We will definitely be back for more.

Food at this restaurant tasted amazing, definitely worth the wait. Great service from our waiter Charles, he gave good guidance on meal choices. Spectacular view at the table we were placed outside. Hopefully the restaurant can co sider adding more dessert options to their menu. Otherwise, would definitely revisit this establishment.

The view from the outdoor seating area is amazing directly towards the pier and table Mountain. The food was great although the burger bun could've been more creative and the grilled veggies could have more variety.

We were walking past as Godfrey approached us and said City Grill is the best place to eat and that we will enjoy it here so he offered us a table outside with a good view of Table Mountain. When it got a little colder he gave the ladies some warm blankets. We were a party of 4 and each ordered a different meal. All 4 of us were very happy with the food. The restaurant seemed to be very popular as it got busy later. I would highly recommend City Grill for anyone who wants a good meal with a nice atmosphere. Thanks Godfrey!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Although we had to order veggies additional, it was not a substitute for any of the carbs on offer, our meals were excellent. I had the lamb chops and my husband a sirloin steak. The meat was done perfectly, no sweet basting but instead a beautiful olive oil lemon and oregano basting. Thank you Godfrey, management and kitchen staff, it was a lovely culinary experience

Was so good I went back a second night in a row. Pictured is the bigger mixed grill, but even better was the ostrich steak. The steak was melt in your mouth delicious! Ask what is in the mixed grill, sometimes it changes depending on availability of different meats. The house pinotage paired nicely with the ostrich.
