Food was excellent - beef ribs that seriously melted off the bone. Slow cooked , succulent and so delicious. One of our group had the gnocchi, that too was also delicious. The setting is in the restaurant, verandah space or on the pavement. There was a special buffet for £395- it looked fantastic with a great choice of foods. If I was really hungry .... I would have had that option.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic meal at GINJA in the V&A Waterfront. The restaurant is modern and stylish, and has a lovely outdoor seating terrace to soak up the views and people watch. Unfortunately it was a little too cold for us to sit outside the evening we dined, but inside is just a wonderful.
There were two highlights for me during our dining experience at GINJA, and that was the incredible service and the absolutely sensational dessert! Our waitress was amazing, very friendly and attentive, and always had a smile on her face. It was some of the best service we had in South Africa during our two week visit.
The food we had throughout the evening was nothing short of sublime. Everything was very flavorsome, and my partner said that his Seared Tuna Fish starter was one of the best he’d ever tasted. The highlight of the meal was the dessert, we had the Chocolate Fondant which was a chocolate lovers dream. Cooked to perfection, it was warm, gooey and absolutely amazing.
If you’re looking for a delicious meal in Cape Town, then GINJA is a must visit. It’s stylish, great value considering the quality and location, and the staff were fantastic – just make sure you leave room for dessert!

Went for a brunch with my wife and stayed from midday till 3! Beautiful view from the window table, lovely to watch the passing parade! The staff were excellent from Hazel, the hostess, to Josh who assisted us at the table and the chefs behind the buffet brunch table. Dishes and variety too many to mention, all delectable and delicious! I specifically enjoyed a range of desserts and the sweet tooth was in paradise. Highly recommended. Also live piano music and the pianist was great!

I took a chance on this place, I booked a table for 7 for yesterday (Saturday 28 October 2023) for my moms birthday, upon our arrival we were greeted by the waitresses. The setting of this place from the seating to the lighting was superb.
This is the best spot I could’ve picked for a birthday, the pianist - Ezra was thoroughly enjoyed. The hospitality was all round astounding.
The food waiting periods were perfectly timed. Especially since Boks were playing we wanted to get out by 8 so we could watch the game.
I don’t know what the waiters name was but he truly looked after us all night. I requested for the pianist to sing a song for my moms birthday and he got the whole restaurant to sing, you all made my Mother’s Day so so special!!! I also asked for a last minute request to put something together for dessert for my mom. Thank you chefs!!!! I truly appreciate the efforts the kitchen made to make my Mother’s Day an amazing occasion as well as our waiter and everybody else really! I’ve never experienced such vibey dining before, we were all moving in our seats to the sounds of Ezra while chowing down the food. Wow. I’ll be back again soon. Thank you!

Last minute decision to have breakfast at the Waterfront. With no imagination I went to an old faithful, but found them out for loadshedding. Wandered around and landed up at Ginja. How pleased I am!

The restaurant has the best view of the Table Mountain during dining. Staff was helpful and very friendly. We ordered the Seafood Pan and Seafood Curry, both were exceptionally tasty. 👍

We only came for drinks, but the location is so good and chilled. Very professional and friendly staff, who was more than willing to eat us anywhere even just for drinks. Cocktails were incredible and decent strengthen, too. Would definitely recommend this place. Just be sure to arrive before 15h30 or after 18h00.l as the kitchen closes for non-hotel visits to the restaurant.
