The service was really great and our waitress was super helpful and attentive. I really enjoyed the food and the restaurant was very cozy. A great place to go for a quality steak.

Really great, ambient atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service. The burger I had was incredibly tasty except the patty which I ordered medium rare was incredibly rare and not to my taste so I had to ask them to cool it a bit longer. But despite that an overall pleasant experience
The rating on Zamato is totally misleading.
I accidently bumped into this place as I was looking for some sushi. They had a fantastic rib special and since am a sucker for ribs I went straight in.
The taste was heavenly. I will definitely go back when am in camps bay again.

Read the reviews and saw a 3.1 average.... This couldn't be more misleading ... Despite an early hiccup with a Luke warm snail starter (which was still delicious) everything else was top quality ... Vibe, main and service. Definitely a winner and the blue cheese and bacon fillet was the business!
Had a very nice meal here. Doesn't get as busy as some of the more established restaurants on the promenade- but I feel it has all the offerings to put up a good fight for your belly.

I had breakfast I enjoyed their bread and chicken levers with perfectly cooked egg I was expecting something small but it was really filling, staff was welcoming

Jovial welcome by the manager and staff, excellent service and a warm atmosphere, complimented by smooth relaxing tunes in the background. We had grilled camembert and snails for starters, followed by the avo & biltong fillet and lamb shank both with fluffy mash on the side. Great place overall.

......…..This is our first time that we visit here! And it was very easy and hassle free to make the reservation! We came to redeem our Combo-meal for two Hyperli Voucher which was a total surprise for us as it didn’t say what we are going to get! First-lii the restaurant is Superb-lii located on Victoria Road, Camps Bay in other words it’s on the Golden mile on the ground-floor with a terrace right on the street from where you are able to sea-gaze and listen to the waves breaking across the road, so awesome! The terrace is smallish and only has a few tables but they have a love-lii biggish inside seating, at the entrance there is place for about five tables which can seat 2, 4 and 6 patrons then you have the next section which has about 21 tables also seating 2 and 4 patrons. Against the back wall there is a love-lii bright-lii lit bar, one big TV screen! The restaurant is clean and very neat! The staff are friend-lii and pleasant! The manager takes the time to make around at your table just to small-talk and making sure that you are happy and comfortable! The Combo-meals on offer we discovered were: - 1. Ribs & calamari 2. Fried-fish & calamari 3. Prawns & calamari served with either Rice, Chips or a Salad! We were real-lii looking forward to some juicii steaks but had to settle for the fish, prawns & calamari dishes! Kinda "Weird" having sea-food at a "Steak-House/The Butcher!!! Our opinions are “seen that they are called The Butcher” their Combo-meals should be more on Meat-Combos then Sea-food! Never-the-less the meals were insidious-lii delicious and we real-lii enjoyed our mysterii dinner! They serve the best home-made bread which they serve with olive-oil and balsamic vinegar insidious-lii delicious! They also offer the normal steaks which is their specialty! We will have to come around again to try their steaks next time. They have a good selection of wines and various cock-tails also on offer! The place is well decorated with sepia photos of various places in and around Cape Town with one wall nice-lii decorated with cut-off barrels! The prices seems to be in the normal bracket of other restaurant offering the same kind of foods! We will definite-lii come back here in the future although parking can be a bit of a problem!.....
Located on the beachfront of Camps Bay, a beautiful view of the ocean. Best to enjoy a dinner as you watch sunset or sundowners. The relaxing background music allows for conversations. The tables are a bit small, but you can request for tables to be placed together. Very helpful staff. Quality dishes perpared. The menu offers unique dishes and beloved usuals. I ordered the springbok starters and a fillet for the mains. Prepared to perfection with great presentation! Picture below was taken from upstairs, window seat at 20h40 on a Summers night.

Great service and food!! Just not giving 5 stars because I had better fillet in other restaurants and the cook sent me a blue rare steak while I asked for a medium well.

We went to The Butcher for dinner and returned for breakfast after the great service we had the night before. The fish I ordered was fresh and a treat. The ribs my husband ordered were done very well! We were both very pleased with our meals! The menu is reasonably priced considering the location.
The waiters were friendly and we enjoyed both our meals here. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pleasant music enhanced the atmosphere!
Booked here as we couldn't get a table for eight at our preferred restaurant. The waitress was attentive and the food was generally good. Two of our party ordered the prime rib steak which unfortunately was tough. The Manager dealt with the complaint exceptionally well.
