Ribs & Burgers Nicolway

This was actually my last restaurant meal before the lockdown began . And thankfully it was a good experience .

Came to Nicolway shopping Centre for last minute shopping before the lockdown in SA commenced.

I was very impressed at the measures taken to make patrons feel at ease . Our table was thoroughly sanitized by the waiter before we sat .
Our waiter gave us decent service but towards the end ,I wasn’t too pleased . When we wanted the bill ,she wasn’t anywhere to be found .

I ordered a sirloin steak along with chips and a beer . The steak was really good ,it was prepared as I ordered it. I wasn’t too happy with the fries ,some had skin on them and weren’t too fresh .

But overall I enjoyed myself . This is a great spot ,tucked in a nice corner away from the shops . Would definitely recommend .

I was going to give this a 3 star review. Lacklustre chicken burger, Spuresque onion rings, tried and trusted decor and layout... however, them damn ribs! They were some of the most tender I have had the privilege of burrowing through. Get in mah' face! Give them a bash, I say.

Good food and good service. The burgers are tasty, milkshakes are quite good too. The restaurant in general is quite clean. Waiters attend to you as soon as you arrive.

The bustle of Nicolway Centre is truly felt while sitting at Ribs and Burgers on a Sunday afternoon. We were warmly welcomed and given a table that was booth style. These always work well for families with children who generally need a little more space for strewn chips and messy hands! It may be an outdated practice to have paper and crayons for kids to use because of all the technology nowadays, but as parents it’s always a bonus! The paper menus highlighted the many different burgers (which all sound delicious) as well as various rib options. We waited for someone to take our order, and after approximately 15 mins (it was really busy) the ordering system was explained to us. Place your order and pay at the counter, get a number and your food is delivered to your table. I felt it would have been helpful to have this stated on the menu, or on a sign next to the queuing area. After a short wait our lunch arrived and looked delicious! We forgot to order chips as these are separate side items. The waiter arranged these very graciously and quickly without us having to go back into the queue. My daughter enjoyed her Butchers Original Burger although the Crispy Chicken Burger was a little dry according to her sibling. The BBQ Pork St Louis Ribs which I ordered were drenched in the stickiest, tastiest sauce - tender and a real treat! Towelette’s would have been a welcome and necessary addition. The Old School Cheese Burger was good and the fries a hit with all four of us. The girls had Cookies and Cream milkshakes which they loved while the Devils Peak Lager satisfied the thirsty husband. All in all the atmosphere is great, the staff very friendly and the food is good value for a hungry family needing a break from  shopping in the mall.

Ribs & Burgers is just what Nicolway needed! Finally a casual American restaurant where you order at the front instead of waiters and waitresses serving you. My family decided to try the restaurant for the first time and were impressed.

The food was quick and delicious, with me getting the Crispy Chicken Burger with onion rings. The BBQ was top-notch and the crispy chicken was so tender and, as the name suggests, crispy! The house mayo was so creamy and was the opposite of that chalky supermarket sludge they call mayonnaise. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I’m no fortune teller, but I see a bright future for this restaurant!

I went here on their opening night. You would never have been able to tell that this was their first day of service. The waiters and manager had the best etiquette and work ethic. Very friendly and you never had to wait long for service or for food and drinks. The food itself was absolutely fantastic. Our burgers were done exactly as we had requested and their ribs were fantastic too. I definitely would recommend trying their extra thick milkshakes. It was overall a fantastic experience.
