Always a pleasure to sit at the woolies cafe Friendly staff and awesome meals. Never disappoint. And let’s not forget their cappuccino is the best

This store has great service. The till lines move quickly. You can get almost any of your favorite items here. Flower range is the best.

I have to be honest, I'm not a great fan of Woolworths food but yesterday I decided to go in because I was looking for Vegan products and I'm new at this. Lindiwe was standing there and I asked her to help me. She was so charming and walked around with me and helped me carry items as I didn't count on buying as much. She walked me to the till where I was assisted by a very nice lady as well called Thego. A very pleasant surprise and I will definitely go to the Nicolway branch again.

The breakfast here is soo good.. honestly prefer it to the more popular place right next to it starting with “T”😏🤪. Anyway the ingredients were fresh.. the service was exceptional… I can’t wait to try something else here

As always, Woolworths Nicolway doesn't disappoint. This store is huge and you have plenty of selection of items! It's got a great plant selection too! We went to the Cafe for breakfast and we really enjoyed it! Food was great and well-sized portion! Arrived quickly too. Coffee Grande is properly grande! Didn't expect it to be that big when I ordered it, but still good

Great Woolies, has a nice coffee shop, large fresh fruit veg/section. Staff are helpful and friendly and the store is clean and well maintained/stocked.

I take an elderly couple shopping every week and most times I have help selecting the items they want buy and with helpful assistance of the staff it's a pleasant experience and normally have cuppechinos afterwards in coffee shop🥰👍☕

Busy...service was a bit slow initially. Had Golden Almond milk (almond milk, tumeric, ginger, cinnamon and condensed coconut milk). It was good. Avo on toast was also go. Had an almond chocolate cake to top it up.🤓

The Woolworths Cafe here is great! A lovely cafe with excellent service and an extensive menu. Serving all-day breakfast as well as an assortment of gluten-free and vegetarian options, this place is an unexpected gem. The grande Almond Milk Cappuccino is excellent (and my personal fave) and much larger than at other cafes. The food has never disappointed - almost cried because my gluten-free waffle cake was so tasty. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. Overall, I'm very pleased and will happily return.

It always has everything I need! Including the plant based vegan cheeses and yoghurt. Great bread too. Staff are always friendly and professional.

Perfection at it's best . Best customer service. The wine cellar has all the alcohol you want and need . 5 star

Great layout and a massive variety! The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lot of great shopping and places to eat at Nicolway Mall.

Very interesting and delicious menu. Loads of vegetarian options which is great.
John Gnodde
Terrible service from the waiter. Mediocre food which was cold. Way too much chilly on the food too. Will not ever return to this shop! Manager or owner was no where to be seen, which probably accounts for all of the above.

I am generally a fan of Woolies Cafe’s. But this morning at the Nicolway cafe has been very disappointing. I waited forever for my Cappuccino, and only got it after a different waitress finally noticed me trying to draw someone’s attention. Much later someone enquired if I would like something to eat. I thought a scone would be quick. A further extended wait? This is not what I expect of Woolies service. Perhaps better management of this cafe is necessary?

Lovely quick lunch.
While quite busy because of the lunch hustle, the service was attentive, polite and quick.
The food was flavourful and delicious.
Sashin Naidoo
Try out the flourless almond chocolate cake which is delicious! I personally prefer the flourless cake to a normal, flour baked cake. Add a turmeric and ginger latte and you’ve got yourself a party of flavors waltzing on your tongue

We had a very good experience at this Woolworths cafe. Often I find the peppermint tea is out of stock but this was not the case here. I highly recommend this tea. You can easily get three cups out of one pot. It doesn’t require milk or sugar and tastes great. We also had the crispy shroom burger which is one of my favourite burgers despite the lack of meat. I love that Woolworths is catering for vegetarians and vegans with the options of soy and almond milk.
Lastly, I have to mention our waitress, Smangele, who was particularly excellent in her service 👏👏

Situated in Nicolway is Woolworths Cafe.Service is friendly.I had the new creamy polenta with hollandaise .Food beautiful decorated and dish was good but polenta could do some improvement.

A popular request for early morning breakfast meetings as well located for clients in the Bryanston business hub. Their food is tasty, with plenty of healthy options, amazing cakes and is beautifully presented, breakfast portions are on the small side for man sized hungers. It can get noisy, recommended to sit in the far back corner window side if wanting more privacy. Sadly the let down is terribly slow service. Waiters have a talent of disappearing when most needed and especially when needing the bill. When done I now pay at the till point when leaving. Their rating is pulled down purely on the bad service and do hope management improves things as is a great environment with good food, plenty of parking and WiFi.

We have come here for hot chocolate and coffee but are yet to dine here. Menu looks amazing and very nice warm and cozy feel with nice decor. Definitely recommend it for breakfast or brunch.
Sam Corcoran
I love the setting and the menu has a few nice options such as Avo toast and turmeric lattes. The harvest table is also good for a quick lunch and sometimes there are vegan options such as roast veg and rice. However, most of the times I’ve been the service has been unbelievably slow and we have had to enquire multiple times about our food.
Meagan
Had the crumbed chicken burger it was delish! Chips are pretty good too. Cappachino is always a win from the woolworths cafes. Will gladly go back.

We popped in for breakfast. The floor space is huge with lots of tables along the sides and the back, and plenty of wait staff. My Americano was delicious and my cheese and corn waffle was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Generous mashed avo, sliced tomatoes, a fresh waffle, tasty bacon, all complemented by a mild, spicy sriracha sauce. I’ll definitely order it again.

My goodness, this cafe needs a serious wake-up!

The service is utterly shocking. I've seen many tables trying to get their waiter/tress's attention - to no avail.

Cappu is good. My choice was between: toasted slice banana bread topped with espresso cream cheese and something else. And the toasted Coconut bread slice, topped with pineapple whipped cream cheese and coconut shavings. I also ordered the 'crispy egg'.

I chose the Coconut bread option.

Arriving at my table, I looked at the whipped cream and it was dark brown ... and when I tasted it, it was the espresso whipped cream cheese. So I told my waiter this is wrong.

You know what they told me? Oh, sorry, they didn't have the whipped pineapple cream cheese - so they just used the espresso version. Really???

But wait ... while I wait (and thank you, I got another cappu free), they made the whipped pineapple cream cheese.

So they couldn't have made it from the start? When I ordered it?

I come here quite often and the service I get is quite up and down. Sometimes is great sometimes it's not. I do however love their new coffee: cinnamon and vanilla cappuccino! I don't usually buy coffees to do but this is def making one for the books! Also we end up eating at Woolworths quite a bit because of this coffee. The Nutella toast was a bit too sweet. & on another occasion I had the potato cake for bfast! Definitely one of my favs at Woolworths
Nolene Du Preez
Such a lovely and peaceful environment, I have been enjoying my latte more than I have actually zoomed into the meeting I'm having.

The gourmet grilled cheese IS A MUST! It is cheese heaven melting in your mouth!

I also enjoyed an extremely delicious golden latte, that includes tumeric, ginger, honey & coconut.

They also have a green tea option which is another MUST!
Fareed Hare
This woolies cafe definitely makes the best Jalapeño Crispy Chicken burger in jhb. The staff is almost friendly and the lunch harvest table collection is almost really good as well. I do feel like they need better aircon in this cafe though - otherwise, the overall experience at this outlet is always good.
Tasmika Amin
Popped by here for coffee and cake. It was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Service was friendly albeit a little slow.

Had the flourless chocolate cake. The texture was obviously different to a normal dense cake but it was actually very good. The honey nut latte is always a winner.

Woolies cafe, always a safe bet for a decent meal.
M I S A
it was a lovely space. it wasn't noisy or too busy at all. The staff is super nice & professional. I will definitely visit again. Probably after a long day at college. I love the honey nut latte.

When visiting Cape Town we often go to Woolworths, Sea Point for food shopping.
Unfortunately we made the same mistake again by going to their cafe for brunch.
- As usual the service was terrible : one gets seated fairly quickly , but then the wait
begins . . .
We order coffee and juice , which seemed to be quite a challenge. Then we ordered
our food.
Eventually the beverages arrived . . . and then the waiting continued. . . .
we finished the coffee and juice, which we would have rather had WITH the meal.
About 20 minutes later the food arrived . . . apparently the chicken pie takes this
long . We saw consternation in the kitchen during the preparation of the pie -
it took a multitude of "workers" to accomplish this feat. I think there are far too
many staff with the "new" dispensation in the country and no incentive to work.
Once you have "the job" you're can stop exerting yourself . . . sad situation.
In Europe a similar Cafe/restaurant would be run by husband and wife and maybe
a helper. Service would be efficient and fast.
Anyway, we have learnt our lesson with Woolies

Very disappointed in this Woolworths cafe. Portions have decreased and my daughter was so disappointed in her chicken schnitzel sandwich and tiny smoothie she asked if they were half portions! We had to order chips which arrived after we'd finished our minuscule offering, just to fill us! They were also a small portion. When we queried with our waitress she was so embarrassed and said a lot of people have commented on the same thing. As the prices have increased but the portions haven't, Woolies we are voting with our feet and won't be back. That's why Tashas is full, as they offer value for money, delicious food and decent portions.

A great spot for a family brunch or coffee date. The ambience is sublime and so is the decor. Service is slightly slow but the waiters are friendly. Woolies caters for all types of foodies and I LOVE that we get to indulge reading their taste magazine as you wait for your food.
Wilna Bester
We had our favourite, Avo on Ciabatta Toast and Cappuchino at Woolworth's Cafe in the Nicholway Centre. Such a simple, delicious meal!
My daughter mentioned that there were nothing gourmet about the Gourmet Cheese Sandwich - still it had been a good average cheese toastie!
Service by Felistas was good & friendly.
Sharima Bramannan
Popped in quickly to get some coffee en route to a meeting. I really do enjoy the woolies gingerbread latte's...luv the gingerbread flavour☺️
Charlemagne Olivier
Great alternative if the Tasha's is too full (which it always is!).
Perfect for meetings, and their pastries are always top class. The coffee here is great and is "fair trade" (more of a marketing buzz word than anything these days)My only gripe with this Woolies cafe is that the staff can really be up & down with regards to performance.
Leverne Mountany
Always good for a weekend breakfast or a quick bite while shopping. Consistent with fresh products and creative menu ideas. Good service and friendly setting.
Grant & Sam
We decided to give this café another chance, and it was even worse than the first time. Service was bad; food was not well prepared and portions were very small.

PREVIOUS REVIEW - RATING 2:
Service was really not up to standard here. We waited for ages to place a drinks order, then waited ages after that to place food order and receive the drinks. The coffee was nice.

It's also disappointing to read a menu write-up and receive something else completely - a few halved tomatoes and a little spring onion does not a coriander salsa make, particularly when there's not a hint of coriander present. The eggs and waffle were nicely done.
Monochrome
Terrible service. I was seated by an absolute nit wit in a blue pin striped outfit. Indicated I would like a coffee- she however said that a waiter would come by. Waited over 10min- waiters walked up & down past me- not making any eye contact at all. Eventually I just left. Service is horrid- staff look like they have been picked of the street & placed in the cafe.
Kaylyn
This is the best woolies cafe, no other produces quite as good food. I came here for lunch with my best friend and the food was delicious had the corn and cheese waffle with an apple and lemon juice and I have no complaints about that! The only let down is that our waiter was a bit slow and didn't come to check if we needed anything else, otherwise the atmosphere and food was fantastic and the hostess was so kind.
Binita Mistry
Was at Woolworths on Saturday to do some shopping and we decided to have a late breakfast at Woolworths Cafe. The restaurant was busy but a waiteress quickly joined 2 tables for our party of 5. We couldn't resist the yummy custard slices and mini chocolate brownies while we waited for our food to arrive. I cannot find the name on the breakfast dish I had on the Zomato menu but it consisted of a waffle with corn, avocado and bacon with a sriracha sauce which was super tasty.

Was at the Nicolway this weekend, and decided on the woollies café for lunch. I ordered the fennel and pulled pork shoulder sandwich. The sandwich was delicious, the pork was succulent, and the combination of pickled fennel and pork works surprisingly well. Woolies café will never disappoint with a wide menu, and a lot of pastries and baked goods, you will surely leave happy.
Mosa Mashati
Popped into one of my favourite cafes for brunch and ordered a classic rotisserie chicken wrap with honey glazed bacon - and I'm very happy about the fact that the bacon was not drenched in honey , Ive had instances at other woolies cafes where the bacon was just then too sweet, I normally order honey glazed bacon to balance out the salt in bacon (Ive ALWAYS felt like bacon can do with less salt) so I'm happy that their menu offers that as an addition.
Cucumber Fresca to drink and it honestly is top5 most refreshing drinks because of the ginger and lime! It was also not too frothy which makes it the perfect summer drink.
The service gets a 2/5 because we weren't shown to our table and the service was quite slow . The overall experience was slightly above average (3/5) and because of the food being that good , 3,5 is deserved .
Carien Jakovljevic
I stopped here for a coffee with a colleague before a meeting as we were early, and the service was terrible. Took forever for someone to help us, coffees took long, and waitress seemed irritated with us. Coffee was good though.
Tamara Reddy
Our waitress Princess was lovely and accommodating. Their pressed juices are delicious - I had a carrot, orange and pineapple juice and a salad sandwich for lunch. The salad sandwich is simple but fresh and tasty. The price of meals are affordable and service was quick even though it was busy lunch hour. To top it off I was fortunate enough to sit next to Derek Watts from Carte Blanche.
Nico Gray
How oftern we try search for the latest and greatest spot for our next meal, and we forget the tried and tested gems like Woollies Cafe. Sitting here drinking their coffee which I rate above Starbucks anyday and eating their Salted Caramel Cheesecake and some or other delicious avoid sarmie, I can't remember anytime that I have been dissapointed! EVER. Yes staff is a different story, but that you get at all restaurants.

Absolutely rubbish. Last week I went in and guess what? Everything I liked on the menu was either unavailable or unavailable - what kind of black magic is this??? Come on guys.... either change the manager or close, because if you can't even stock correctly then I don't even want to know what your books look like.
Eve
I'm a fan of the woolworths harvest tables. I love how the food is presented and the variety. I've tried a good few branches and each has a wonderful spread. Although pricey -a piece of chicken an salad can well cost you R80 upwards. Their service varies from branch to branch. Their cappuccinos are really good although served very small. It's a great spot to stop by after shopping or just to read a book
Kirsten Strauss
Service is abysmal, there is only one waitress who actually tries. You never get what you order the managers never pay attention and the coffee is terrible rather go inside the shop next to their bakery and get your coffee there. Tables and chairs are not cleaned after customers.
Neeta Raga-D
Service is always slow and the waiters seem to be on another planet half the time. Lovely place to meet friends and family, I normally pick this place to meet my parents as they love the honey nut lattes and fresh scones. A central place to meet, good coffee.
Fuzzy Lojic
Had such a delightful breakfast. Everything was perfectly done and fresh. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. Also found the crockery to be quite pretty. Unusual to have a cafe experience at a chain but this one pulled it off.

Enjoyed Woolworths breakfast this morning ,breaky was fresh and tasty ... I definitely prefer the cafe for breakfast at nicole way as its more calmer and less noisy ... The quality of the food at Woolworths is always great no doubt about that ....

I had the Proper breakfast and my friend had the...

Rather indifferent about the breakfast that we were served. The food was good but probably not worth the wait. The service was very friendly however due to the fact that they seemed to severely understaffed it was very slow👎🏻
Charmaine
While I absolutely love woolies, never been a fan of the woolies cafe. While the food is good it just doesn't make up for the below average service.
Sumendra Narismulu
Great breakfast menu! Fresh ingredients! The mushrooms on toast doesn't really filling but after u done you feel it, was tasty as well! The cheese and corn waffle was something different, something which I really enjoyed, it might be a good idea to put avo on the side though! Will be back for sure
Noni Demetriou
Nice Woolworths cafe. Good venue. Good service. Their buffet meals are always good and look fresh. Nice decor as well. Still gets a 3.5 as that's the highest I would rate a Woolworths cafe but it's one of the better one's
Ashish Sewgoolam
Had a breakfast meeting at this Woolies Cafe. Good ambience, service and food.
The mega Americano lives up to it's name and it is a big mug of quality coffee, which isn't as easy to find as it should be.
To eat, I had the fritaffle and don't think I could have made a better choice. Light, flavourful and delicious with the avo on top, didn't even need any further seasoning or Tabasco. Will definitely order it again.
KarmaZebra
This has to be the worst of all the Woolies Cafes...I feel I get a better meal by walking around the store, coffee in hand, snacking on all the tasters scattered around! Staff are inattentive, disinterested and slow, and tables are often left dirty. Coffee & food are still tasty, it is Woolies after all, but there are many better options
Heather Hook
Busy place. Liked the chalkboard menus posted above the kitchen and the whole open plan vibe. Menu is extensive and offers all day breakfasts - yippy!! Cappuccino was good and my rotisserie chicken salad although big was lacking in presentation - all the glorious avo was hidden under the chicken, just felt a bit more attention to plating could be nice. Tasty though, and service was good despite being busy. They started scrubbing the open tables next to us while I was still eating however and the smell of Handy Andy made me feel quite ill - possibly something to reserve for when the restaurant is closed? No portable credit card machines and had to queue to pay my bill - not that I mind, but the space was rather small and there were people ahead of me so felt a bit like I was crowding the people sitting by the till area eating their lunch. 😐

Woolies Cafe is lovely. Delicious food in a laid back setting. Woolworths just has a finesse about the presentation of food which I love. It seems careless and rustic but we really know it's deliberate and artistic.

Burgers are delicious. And you must have the garlic aioli. It's moreish and sinful and delicious.

So I have just had an incredible rotisserie chicken salad. I literally cleaned my plate. So delicious. A good amount of avocado- which is awesome because most places skim on the good stuff. It's a green sensation in the nicest way, with some cheeky crostini for a crunch. The dressing- a rocket basil mayo. Honestly so good. A reminder that when people say salads are boring, they simply either don't know how to make one, or how to order the right ones.

Got a take away to have at work. A full plate of goodness. Thumbs up from me!

I actually just want to say excellent, but you need more characters so i will just add this random sentence until it is happy with the requirements

The Woolworths Cafe in Bryanston is absolutely fantastic.

I went for lunch with a friend of mine a couple of days ago and all I can say is wow! The service was great. And the food was super fresh, tasty and delicious! Will definitely be back again soon. 🍟

Highly recommended for a chilled lunch if you're in Nicolway.
Kineshea Pillay
Akira and I stopped off at Woolworths cafe for lunch. The service was pleasant as was the atmosphere and the food came relatively quick. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and akira ordered the quinioa crusted chicken from the chefs plate, it was very interesting and definitely a first for me. The chicken schnitzel was tasty but it is a little pricey for what you get. But still a good time out.
Magda Oosthuysen
We went for a light lunch after previously stopping for breakfast and having had an great experience. As usual, the service at this Woolworths is really good. We had a toasted cheese and tomato and an open tuna sandwich. Both were really tasty and fresh and very filling.

We stopped at this delightful restaurant for breakfast. I have been before but just for coffee and I loved the look and feel if the place, especially the huge windows in the front. We had the 3 egg omelette with mozzarella and cheddar and the avo on toast. And of course cappuccino. The breakfasts were both freshly prepared, tasty and sufficiently filling. Coffee was outstanding as always. Service was quick and friendly and was followed up with a real check on whether we were happy with our food. Live this place, and will defiantly be back.
La Munch
The food is great. The service is slow and it's so hard to get your waitor's attention. Some more smiling would be nice from the manager - it would help create a friendlier atmosphere.
Akira Wing
Nice spot for lunch. The food is fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend the gingerbread latte which was delicious.

I ordered the quinoa crusted chicken which was really interesting and not quite what I was expecting, but still tasty. It could have come with a more exciting side as the coleslaw was quite average.
Amanda Dovey
I often pop into Woolies after shopping to grab a quick breakfast. The team have upped their game and are catering to the carb conscious foodie. I enjoyed an eggs Benedict which was served on a giant mushroom instead of an English muffin and it was awesome! That was washed down with their green juice (great hangover cure!)
Lesa-Jo
An awesome breakfast spot! My husband had the traditional breakfast and I had the poached egg pan. Both dishes were delicious! It was very busy though and the service was a little on the slow side. The freshly pressed juices are delicious.
Pam Lourenco
I would definitely recommend having breakfast at a woolies cafe. After you are done with your shopping you can happily munch away on fresh delicious breakfast croissants or wraps. I had the eggs Benedict as well as a green juice which was freshly squeezed. It's a little crowded but that is to be expected for a weekend breakfast venue.
Overall great food, service and experience.
Bianca
Why is the service at this branch so slow?
The waitresses are not very attentive.

Paying with a card is a painfully long process, they don't bring the card machine to the table it's a very slow and unproductive procedure...
Please do something about this.

The food is good it's sad the service and processes are so slow.
Jaime The Jambo
Really excellent coffee here! Had the honey and nut latte, the gingerbread latte and a reg cappuccino grande, awesome size and all were delicious! Love. Jambo.
Poor Man's Caviar
Love the new Woolworths Cafes even though they have been getting a bad rap service wise the last few months.
I generally I've not had bad experiences but have seen the lax attitude of staff members at certain branches. The coffee is really good and probably on the top brew list in Joburg, haven't had a bad one yet-
The food has also kicked up a gear and is really good and decent value for money.
The feat table or plate by weight is really fresh and a good selection of healthy, interesting salads and other sumptuous looking food.
Wasn't really hungry so opted for coffees and a croissant with preserve and butter.
Staff were on hand most of the time and friendly enough.
Coffee great and croissant beautifully flaky and not oily.
Anandie
It is always rather busy, but if you can wait for a spot it is always a treat with great tasting yummy coffees, and some tasty light lunch meals.
Pashnee Naidoo
Popped in for a quick lunch, I ordered a cold pressed juice of carrot, pineapple and ginger with a open sandwich of smashed avocado with blackened corn and crema on rye bread. This so delicious, will definitely be back.
James Jullies
Stopped by for a quick lunch. They unfortunately didn't have the calamari for the salt & pepper salad but the pork belly salad more than made up for it. Nicely done belly cubes atop a bed of fresh greenery and crunchy green beans, laced with pickled ginger and a really flavorful Asian based sauce, it reminded me of eating sushi. The combo of the ginger and the belly works really well, as the ginger cuts through the fattiness. Really nice, light, Asian inspired midday meal.
JonJon Clark
I got to start off by saying that the iced coffee here is the best I've ever tasted! Came back two days in a row to drink those bad boys! We also had a chicken schnitzel with a napolitano sauce on a ciabatte which was really good. However we ordered a side of chips for R23 which although nice there were only about 7 chips ! The service here also leaves much to be desired!
Bronwynne W
Very laid back spot in the Nicolway Shopping Centre. Fresh ingredients because they're using all their own stuff. I've had the liver salad before as well as the 3 egg omelette. Food well presented and a treat to the eye. My only negative comment would be that the bacon on the breakfast menu is all honey-glazed. There's no other variety to choose from.
Maegan
This is honestly one of the worst Woolworths Cafe I have ever been to.

The waitress from the very beginning had so much attitude when serving us it was almost unbearable. Didn't give a name. Plonked menus down and buggered off to somewhere else. Just plain rude.

The order was taken and an hour late the food arrives. Cold and underwhelming. I had the eggs Benedict and the frosted Caramel latte. What a horrible decision. The food was ice cold. The hollandaise was a consistency similar to mayonnaise, thick overwhipped mayonnaise. The coffee was a sickly sweet fake caramel that tasted like an off brand jellybean. Never again.

This was followed by a long wait for the bill. Not worth going back to ever. Rather spend your money at one of the far better restaurants in the vicinity.
Foodifancipants
Woolworths cafe has a prime location in the Nicolway shopping centre however with tough competition around the corner they're not my favorite.

The service is unbelievably slow and the food takes forever to arrive.
Eleni
I was in Bryanston as I was grabbing lunch at 1PM with family, however, my boyfriend and I decided to get something to drink beforehand as we were quite thirsty.

I ordered a red espresso, Apple and mint frozen drink and my boyfriend opted for a frozen ginger lemonade. I must admit, both were equally as amazing and I was left on a complete happy spell after drinking my drink.

If it wasn't for having to grab lunch elsewhere, I would have eaten something there as the food looked incredible and so did the menu. Their menu seems to be more diverse than the other Woolworths Cafes which is a major plus, especially since there is actually more than one vegetarian option.

I will definitely be back to try the food. It seems incredible!

Our waitress was very friendly and the service was great!
Lynzi Bee
This Woolies Cafe is by far the best one, it stands out from the others in fact. It is a proper sit down restaurant with a really nice relaxed atmosphere and cool vibe, as opposed to the others that feel like your eating in the shop itself. The service is friendly, helpful and quick. They have updated their menu with some yummy options, I had a custom made breakfast which was fresh, delightful and healthy. Value for money is fantastic, the food is health friendly and there is something for everyone. I would actually highly recommend giving this Woolies Cafe a go for brunch!
Stacey Faber
Woolworths just never ceases to amaze. Their food is always so fresh and delicious. I enjoy this cafe for a quick bite! Their Tuna Sandwhich is really delicious (although quite a small portion). The pressed juices are divine and so are their cakes. Woolies Coffee is a winner!
Michele Tagliatti
I had lunch here on a Thursday. Woolworths food quality is definitely something to go by... I ordered a scrumptious Caesar salad just for something light - was delicious... However, the service at this Woolworths cafe is quite slow - so would only recommend it if you have time.
Roxy Bruinenberg
Stopped here for a quick red cappuccino which was Devine and opted for soya milk which I prefer because I'm not much of a dairy fan, my mom had their Turkish flat bread but had it as a wrap instead which she thoroughly enjoyed, the chicken was not dry and the pomegranate seeds lifted the dish giving it a sweet pop with each bite. I took a take away home from their harvest table which is Italian inspired and was delicious, I would also advise people on their chicken liver salad and their honey nut latte, everything here is just good.
Angelo Smith
I have honestly never had a good experience at woolworths cafe nicolway. Service is shocking. Today nicolway had no water, i can understand things are more difficult under circumstances but I asked for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and they said sorry they have no water, they can't! . U don't need water to make a sandwich only electricity. I'm done with them.
Adrian Shannon
One of my favorite breakfast spots. They accommodate my special order and the coffee is really good. Service can be slow at times but nothing major..
Manmakecoffee
Very high up on my list of favourite people is this guy, Prince Nkomazana. He's a manager at Woolworths Café Nicolway.

There are very few people I genuinely enjoy spending time with (even if that's only for as long as it takes me to finish a coffee). There are even fewer who possess the character traits I aspire to. Prince is a guy you want to spend more time with. And after every bit of time I spend with him I realize that if I could be only half the man he is, I'd be twice the man I am.

I suppose one wouldn't expect any less from a Prince.
Amy Lara Baxter
I was underwhelmed by this Woolies Cafe when I went for their Harvest table and most of it was finished. Yes finished. So sad as I love the food here in general. The meals are great and it is lovely for a coffee or full meal. Previously I loved it but the passed two visits have been disappointing.
Leigh Carmichael
It's my weekly shopping coffee pitstop location so it can't be that bad. The cappuccino is served with a dense foam and at the right temperature which isn't as common as you'd expect but like every Woolies Cafe the bill takes ages to arrive and ages to pay if you use a card.
Wesley Carlisle
Woolworths Cafe's food is really good. I've had the full breakfast as well as the mushrooms on toast.. Both of which were amazing. 👍🏼 Their service can be slightly slow, so order quickly.. But I think that it is because it is usually full (which is a good sign). Their coffee is good, too. ☕️ Definitely worth a visit!!

Love this branch of woolies cafe. Two things i would order is either the honey mustard chicken and avo on baguette or the beef burger and chunky chips. Always a winner. The prices are on the higher side but being bryanston its expected as well as the cafe.

Ran out of soup on such a cold day. ...better planing next time...had to settle for an average grilled cheese sandwich. ..hopefully they will be better prepared next time...

Just poor customer service. That' s as straight forward as it gets. And alot of people I speak to confirm this. I won't be back to be treated badly again.

I usually pop in here for a coffee and bite to eat with colleagues and I love their honey & nut lattes! Although this place is always packed during week days and the service is a little slow, I have always found the food good so if you aren't in a rush, this is a nice change in the Nicolway Shopping Centre.

*Recommendation: Their Nachos & salsa is a favourite of mine!

You can wait forever to be served in this cafe regardless of how many patrons. I go here when desperate or a long time expired between visits making me forgetful. Food is good, service lackluster and cakes are awesome.

I was in the area on Friday, to see if I can enjoy a lovely lunch at the Woolworths Cafe on Nicolway. Only to be let down. The Staff are friendly, but to get a drink order or a replenishment is unheard of. I had to ask the Manager to check how long our meal is (while she was busy taking pictures of all the food, instead of attending to her clients that are in the restaurant). After our food arrived, there was no effort done to check if we are okay, or if we would care for anything else.

After flagging a waitron down for the bill. our Bill was taken off our table without any payment. Our waiter that took the bill went on and got two drinks orders for two other tables without even coming to take our payment.

Once again I had to stand up and ask them if they can please take our payment, lunch service is supposed to be fast, attentive due to people having other things to do.

The food was average, except that I ordered a medium burger, but received it Well done.

I decided to go here for a glass of wine and some sushi with a friend after we'd been shopping. We ran into a few problems - firstly, the wine was not being sold after 3.30 pm; secondly, we ordered vegetarian sushi and were brought salmon; lastly, the tables were all sticky and dirty so it took us 3 try before we found a clean one. I normally love woolies cafes because they have a huge selection of drinks and their prices are great, but this time I was a bit disappointed.

Not my favorite woolies cafe, we were seated quite quickly however we waited quite a while to order our meal and a further 35 minutes for our lunch. And we didn't order anything extravagant. We had the chicken mayo club (I think that's what t was called) and the chicken schnitzel open sandwich. Once these finally arrived we really enjoyed our meal. The chicken mayo had a lovely bit of grilled peppers through it and was very tasty served on fresh baguette ( I honestly believe that a woollies baguette is the closest to a French baguette I've tasted in joburg) and the schnitzel sand which was A little cold but tasty - make sure you ask for a sharp knife. Overall a lovely meal but a really long wait.

I love this Woolworths’ café, the ambiance is so energetic, the décor is spectacular and their menu is innovative and fresh; a great place with affordable, good quality food. If you’re looking for good coffee and a light lunch, Woolies is the place to go. The service is a tad slow, so be prepared but the waiters are friendly and accommodating.

I ordered the spicy chicken liver salad with avo and a poached egg, it was tasty but the livers were definitely not spicy and they were a bit stingy with the toppings. It also said that the salad comes with a bacon vinaigrette but they just gave me a normal vinaigrette :( It was tasty though. My friend ordered the Med Plate- it was delicious a selection of flat bread, halloumi, olives, roasted tomatoes, baby spinach and avo- a delicious light lunch option.

If you feel like splurging then the harvest table is just for you, they offer the most divine food but be prepared to pay.

Service shocking, asked for items on the menu and apparently were not stocked anymore. Won't eat here, if it takes 14 min to do our drinks order how long will it take for my meal order. No thanks.

All I can say is BEST CORN fritters ever. Topped with the syrup bacon this is a yummy breakfast. The serivce is a tad slow and it takes awhile to get going but if you there for a chilled moring suck it up and stay. The coffee is also great and there are a few different blends to pick from. I like that. They also do a mean carrot cake. A lovely Sat morning breakfast spot before you tackle some shopping.

There has been a definite improvement in service since the new manager came on board. The harvest table is always amazing and the coffee never disappoints.

Very average breakfast experience from this cafe, and not for the first time. From the service in general to the way we were treated by the management staff. You should never have to wait over half an hour for a drink and over an hour for a meal (especially if it was a small order of 2 meals and the one is a muesli pot).

Visited Woolworths Cafe on Sunday for brunch. This is not the first time we have been there and this is not the first time we have had below average service there. It took a long time for our orders to be taken for food and drinks. We waited for our meals quite a while. The Med Plate looked rather sparse but was quite tasty. Vimal ordered a Tagliatelle with Rotisserie Chicken but when he got the meal there was no chicken in it. Some of the items, like orange juice and peach ice tea, were out of stock. Vimal ordered the OJ and 15 minutes after that queried it with the waitress only to be told that it was being freshly pressed and therefore took time. Ten minutes later we were told that it was out of stock and Vimal changed his order. On the up side, Woolies makes the best Chai Lattes and the food is tasty.

We all love shopping at Woolworths (besides for bank account balance). So you can definately expect greatness from the Woolworths Cafe. Just knowing that their ingredients are from Woolworths provides comfort that the food will be good.

Their menu is perfect for light lunch or breakfast. Ranging from sandwhiches, salads to burgers. Their coffee is great too.

Ive only tried out their sandwhiches and burgers which have both been fantastic. My one complaint however would be the slow service.

Ev and I had what I mentally termed our farewell breakfast here - we were at Niccolway buying FIFA 15 and I figured I'd never see him again.

We both had the pineapple, orange, ginger and mint juice. It was delicious. The mint was a wonderful addition.

I wasn't that hungry so I ordered a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich. I wasn't expecting much. I thought it would be this sad little wimpy-esque sandwich with one slice of barely melted cheese slapped onto bread with a disproportionate amount of tomato. I couldn't have been any further off the mark. It was the BEST toasted cheese and tomato sandwich I have ever eaten. They use brioche, I think, and and it was stuffed full of two kinds of cheese. But the most wonderful thing was the thyme-roasted cherry tomato halves. It gave the sandwich an almost pizza-like flavour. The potion was so large I could only finish half of it. I had a cheese hangover the rest of the day but it was totally worth it.

Ev's meal, on the other hand, was an unmitigated disaster. He ordered The Proper Breakfast. He didn't like the slight sweetness of the brioche, and his eggs (ordered sunny side up) were burnt and crunchy on the edges. His bacon, too, was sweet somehow. A man defeated, he said, "this is the first time in my life I'm not enjoying bacon." I felt for him.

The service was friendly enough but glacially slow.

The bill didn't have the standard woollies 100% mark-up so the prices were a pleasant surprise.

The best breakfasts. Try the Proper Breakfast with farm style white toast. I don't know how they do it but their toast has a brioche type of sweetness to it. Makes it half savory half sweet. And the coffees are done very nicely.

Good cafe vibe! Food quality was outstanding and portions large! Service wad a little slow the the restaurant was pumping so was understandable! Walk around Woolworths to work up an appetite then go eat here!

Good service. Food is very good. Can get very busy. Perfect spot for quick snack.

I brought my mother to this Woolworths Cafe at the start of the year, and she was very impressed with it (as was I). It seems more spacious (and definitely bigger) than most of the other branches. Service was good - fast and friendly - and our food presented beautifully (my mom actually wanted to take a picture before eating!). The food was very tasty too, and although the coffee was a little strong for my liking, the overall experience was a pleasurable one.
