On the hunt for the perfect Negroni.. Landmark delivered! They used Tanqueray, as the gin and we were served a great Negroni with a smile! The dirty Martini needs work - too much olive brine. An authentic and great experience! Be back for sure...

Good place to have a drink after work or on Friday night. Nice smooth music, mature people, however the service should be improved: I had to wait for 20 minutes each time I ordered drink and literally had to run after the waiters to find them about it. Luckily one of the manager "Dona" came and apologized about it and saved us from the chaotic service received.

OMG!! The atmosphere is amazing, I really had a wonderful time. The assistant was very good and warm. Thank you, my favourite drink was The zombie.

One of my favourites to have some drinks with friends. Great cocktails. The menu isn't as vast as it used to be, but try the Penicillin cocktail.

Nice place inside Cafe Del Sol, decent selection of drinks and snacks. Good for conversation - not really a sports bar but they'll happily try accomodate if there is a game on

This space was so beautiful, so perfect, the service was absolutely amazing! Shout out to our waiter Khumbo who literally never forgot our orders, never forgot to check up on us and did so with the most willing and welcoming attitude. I will be telling all my friends about this place. Thanks again to Khumbo for making our experience that much more enjoyable.

Best cocktail bar so far in Johannesburg. These guys make amazig drinks, and the waitstaff is fantastic. We love the guy who helped us, even had drink recommendations. The space had a great feel. Highly recommend the old fashioned. Yum! We also had a Zombie which was tasty.

Magnificent cocktails, service and food!

Landmark is a up market bar with a wide selection of spirits and cocktails. They have a reputation of having some of the most impressive and knowledgeable bartenders although some have moved on elsewhere. It's a great place to take a date or just get a drink after work. The vibe is very trendy and I always seem to have a great time when I go.

By far one of the coolest set ups as far as Joburg bars go, with a timeless elegance and all the cocktails you could imagine - including the cocktail that is served while on fire. With access to the wonderful, loved-filled kitchens to Cafe Del Sol Botanico, the Landmark has the best of both worlds and I just can't get enough of the pizza and the ice cream. The coffee here is not bad either if you don't feel like drinking and like any popular spot, it can get packed even on a week night.

Excellent atmosphere! Great service! Not cheap, but they obviously aimed for a more refined experience I thoroughly enjoyed their thin-base wood-fired pizza!

I really like this bar for a quick drink or a longer session. Great pizza and nice and cosy on a cold winter's day. Good craft beer.

I enjoyed the drinks menu a lot because had a lot of selection. The staff was extremely friendly and everybody had a big smile on their face. I'd only suggest that they do a better finger food menu because the options are very limiting.

So the cocktails here were somewhat disappointing. I could barely taste the alcohol in the one orange cocktail (see picture) that came highly recommended by the waitress. It was also a little on the not well concocted side and lacked cohesion and that ‘thing’ that makes a cocktail yum. So I resorted to a margarita (my go to cocktail), which also lacked oomph. So after that, I decided best to just stick to champers. <br/><br/>The ambience is what really sets this place apart. It’s beautiful, masculine and broody all at once. Cigar lounge vibes without the cigars. Their bottle display is next level. Champers and liquor. Really something. So go there if you’d like ‘an experience’. An cost and intimate bar experience where you also have a full kitchen available to order eats from.

This is a great place to get drinks. It is not too pricey and it doesn’t get too full, which is a big win for me. <br/><br/>They also play some great music which I think is a key factor in just having a fantastic time, with a small crowd. Definitely recommend it to anyone willing to have a cozy and comfy night out of drinks.

Beautifully decorated and warmly finished bar. Service is top notch, the drinks and served cold and with care. Specific glasses are used for specific drinks, the attention to detail is great. Love the fact that it's attached to cafe Del sol, you can just enjoy your drinks and then head next door for a delicious meal.<br/><br/>Try it.

Landmark knows what they doing with their drinks! Pimms here is made with fresh fruits and definitely very refreshing. We researched this place on a late Sunday afternoon and thought it was worth the try. Little did we know we got the closing time wrong. Arrived about 40min before closing so I visit was very short. Wanted to order finger foods and all but the kitchen was closed. Maybe next time!

Drinks menu is top notch with a great variety. Had to have the gin cocktails. Love the interior decor and would be a cool spot for sundowners

I received extremely poor service and communication from The Landmark's management, regarding venue hire. After being lied to, countless delays and the deliberate omission of information, we still have not received as much as an apology from management. Their client operations culture is horribly bad and I have no intention of ever returning or encouraging others to hire this place for future events.<br/>Pity.

Popped in here on a Friday after work to meet a few girlfriends for a drink. <br/><br/>The vibe is buzzy and upmarket and the seats get filled fast.<br/><br/>The cocktail menu is fantastic, but expect to pay long dollars! The buttered rum is exquisite, and there are a few absinthe varieties too. <br/><br/>We ordered a pizza to snack on and it was perfectly thin crust and delicious.<br/><br/>The service can be a bit slow when it gets super busy, but not a problem if just having a few chilled drinks.

Never ever disappoints. In fact I'm such a regular here now I've become so comfortable with just walking in for a quick sippie and totally not dressed up for the place. My signature drink is the white lady, if not you'll catch me with a negroni or aperol spritz in hand :) also the nibbles menu is jam packed with flavorsome options. Polenta chips with the Gorgonzola sauce are my best picK!

A nice upmarket bar. Decor looks great and the service is quite good. Definitely a really nice spot to go to for a drink after work. Also had a pizza from there which was really well made.

As soon as you walk in you're immediately faced with the choice of a proper, old-school bar or a fine-dining restaurant; the way the Landmark bar and Casa De Sol are divided. Naturally, I chose the former. It's a truly unique experience. The bar has many levels, the whisky and gin variety are immense and a bartender that is much more knowledgeable than most. Not cheap, but a great experience with decent finger foods. An interesting novelty is the shot machine - a bit gimmicky but can also be a little fun.

One of my favourite bars in Johannesburg. Great variety of whisky and cocktails, perfect for an intimate but relaxed evening. The ambience lends itself to warm date nights just as easily as a great catch up with friends.

Their cocktail menu is superb and the vibe is chic and certainly sets the tone for a great evening! Love the setting and the decor and will definitely rate this as a bsr to return to again and again

Landmark is a very cool place to catch after work drinks! Situated next to Cafe Del Sol, you can order snack foods and pizzas! Amazing whiskey and cocktail selection! It has a sexy vibe to it and a cool interior!

Neither here nor there. Cocktails were uninspired but made well. We had a focaccia from cafe deal sol which was flavorless and service was extremely slow

Yummy wine, delicious cheese platter and awesome atmosphere but heck, it's expensive. The cheese platter could have sported some more cheese.. Having said that, we'll be back.

I've now been here twice and it's such a great spot for cocktails in Joburg. They have more than one hundred cocktails, but my favourite has been the oriental plata. The service is alright, on my most recent visit we reserved a table and confirmed it via email but when we arrived, our booking wasn't there. Quite annoying but eventually they did accommodate us. They serve complimentary popcorn for the table to keep everyone munching while having drinks. <br/><br/>What my friends and family love most about The Landmark is the pizza. The topping combinations are exciting and unique, but more than that, the pizzas are thin crispy slices of heaven. Would definitely rate it as one of the best pizzas in Joburg. <br/><br/>Overall, great trendy bar with good food and drinks. There is also a fireplace for the winter months. Definitely recommend trying their signature cocktails and the pizza!

Great catch up spot, great music going on, love the fact that you don't need to be too dressy. Waitresses were always around and service was excellent. Will defno go again.

Not cheap - but certainly the in place to be - well on a Friday night it seems. Small, intimate and unique decor make Landmark a must try drinks and light grub venue with a view! Situated on the roof top of The Bryanston Shopping Centre <br/>Landmark offers a number of unique cocktails and eats. The Landmark 100 - lists a hundred cocktails across the wall - yet each of them are a unique twist on other staples. The bloody Mary I started with was just the ticket - including the bacon on top - yum! Simple yet delicious tomato, mozzarella and basil pizza hit the spot before we moved on to the extensive - yet well crafted wine list. I will certainly visit again, there are still 99 cocktails with my name on them ;)

By far one of my fav hangout spots in Jozi! The ambience, the amazing food, the exceptional service!!! Absolutely incredible!! Keep it up guys!!🙌

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Landmark in Bryanston, situated inside the Bryanston Shopping Centre along William Nicol Drive. The vibe is chilled and the music is great... It is quite pricy but I'd say it's worth it. The lighting is romantic and inviting, creating a warm ambiance altogether. It is a cool hangout spot for you and your friends to catch up over drinks and a light supper. The pizza was crispy and delicious, it gave me a gourmet feel which made me enjoy it even more. Then the chillies that was served on the side just added extra zing to the whole meal... *nom nom nom* The restaurant is definitely worth a visit, at least once.

Visited on a Thursday evening and really enjoyed the setting and vibe. The range of cocktails is vast and the barmen are really friendly. It's a good place to hang out after work and potentially have dinner next door at Cafe Del Sol (adjoining kitchen).<br/><br/>The prices are however not up on the board which immediately makes one nervous because you don't know what you're in for when the bill arrives. My cocktail was great though despite the price. I think the wine/glass is overpriced though and I would not be rushing back unless I wanted a special cocktail. The food is limited to starters and pizza's from next door and here again do not come cheap.<br/><br/>Overall a good experience though. It really just depends on how much you appreciate and enjoy good spirits/cocktails.

Really enjoyed the cocktails at this place. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service excellent. Such a wide range of cocktails to try so go on and be adventurous. Great place for after work drinks or a chilled night out.

Was invited to the Martini Aperitivo launch a while back. The venue is nice for some drinks with the friends after work but if this night was anything to go by, I'm not sure too sure how comfortable I am with the space. We all seemed to be squashed up against each other... I hate the feeling of not being able to have a drink without someone invading my personal space. I'd be willing to go again for a drink before the place fills up.

Absolutely love this spot! Great decor, yummy pizzas and the best cocktails in Joburg. If you're a little overwhelmed by the 100 (literally 100!) cocktail selection, make sure you grab the proprietor Gareth - he'll fix you up!

For the little time I spent here, they made me quite keen to want to come back. Great bar service; staff made my friend a special tea for her flu which she loved. Arrived there when it wasn't too busy but I definitely sussed the vibe out - a cosy atmosphere for after work drinks.

Excellent food and service ... But the price !!! Just a bit to high... R355 for a bottle of Rupert and Rothschild is just a rip off !!!!! Won't be back because that's that's my favorite wine!

The butternut pizza was literally the best pizza I've ever had. The cocktails are so delicious, too. That bearded bartender is such an awesome dude! (He should get a raise, just for being cool... and I guess for making them delicious cocktails!). Ambience was perfect, music wasn't too loud, loved it. Love. Jambo.

Popped in here for some after-work drinks one Friday afternoon and unknowingly took the waiter's recommendation on a bottle of wine to share with a girlfriend which left me gasping for breath when I requested the bill (after drinking my one glass of wine). It turned out to be a bit of a rookie error on my part as I had clearly not done my homework on the pricing for this particular bottle, so I will move onto the rest of the review...<br/><br/>The Landmark's interiors are stunning! Upmarket, classy with beautiful lighting that doesn't make you feel under a spotlight after a long, hard day at work. I live only one block from this bar so this shopping centre more often than not, is my local and I do frequent The Landmark often. <br/>One cannot help but wonder how many brilliant ideas were realised over a truly poignant drink or six?  I can see why. The Landmark's alcohol selections are superb thanks to Gareth Wainwright, albeit more pricey than you will find in other bars nearby, but I was particularly impressed with the Classic and Landmark Signature cocktails that I saw coming past me.. <br/><br/>*Recommendation: This is a nice first date spot or simple for one or two drinks before dinner with friends.. so for those men or women who want to impress, I would highly recommend a cocktail here.<br/><br/>Update - Saturday 20th February 2016: I have always been a huge supporter of this bar for a few reasons but the main one being, that I live one street down from it.<br/>As such, I try to support him (and it even though Gareth is not actively involved there anymore) often, and I headed here with a group of friends for my usual Saturday drinks with Gareth and co, only to be turned away by the bouncer who apologetically, had been instructed that due to some 'internal politics' (which was unknown to Gareth), we all could not come in and grab a table - if Gareth was with us which he was.<br/><br/>How old are we really in this industry, and what does this have to do with frequenting my local watering hole to buy some cocktails? Surely, even if someone parts ways from their previous company they should be able to support it without this pettiness.

Not the cheapest option for drinks, but this spot is makes up for it with its up market and cosy ambiance, and bar men who know what they are doing (and talking about.) This is a great spot for pre dinner drinks if you are heading to Cafe del Sol Botanico, or after work drinks in the Bryanston area. They have a good whisky and wine selection, and interesting cocktails.

Great cocktail bar for a slightly older crowd. Extensive cocktail menu but prices are higher than most other establishments in the area. The barman does seem to have a heavy hand though. Love the decor and the place has great service. I will be back

Went to The Landmark for the first time last night and loved it. Definitely my new spot in Bryanston for after-work drinks. Lovely decor, nice atmosphere, friendly people behind the bar. All in all a good experience.

Just loved The Landmark, it ticks all the boxes for the perfect cocktail lounge. You enter through glass doors and the first thing you see is a beautiful wooden bar. The mixture between modern and 1950s is done perfectly, even the lights are stunning. The menu is sand blasted onto the glass walls, the list of cocktails is quite unique, we tried the Sunninghill Sling and one with Gin, Champaign and lemon, both were delicious and very refreshing. Alice Lane is served in a cute teapot and a vintage teacup. All and all the night was something different and a lot of fun.

Wonderful selection of cocktails at this swanky addition to Cafe Del Sol Botanico. I wish there was an outside seating area but it's otherwise perfect. A bit on the pricier side but it's definitely worth it. Decor is classy and sophisticated, menu is top notch and service is great. Love it.

This bar is located inside Cafe Del Sol Botanico but has its own area that is separate to the restaurant. The decor is chic with dark leather couches, a social table, stools and of-course an elegantly designed bar. The cocktail selection is vast and well constructed with both creative and classic cocktails. I like that the entire menu is on the wall and not on a printed menu, but it can become inconvenient based on where you're seating. <br/><br/>The bartender and the staff are quite knowledgeable about the cocktails and spirits - they are more than happy to recommend a cocktail based on your mood or preference. I had a great time and will be back soon!
