Review The Daily Okovango - Brackenfell

Liesl Leonard Kroutz
We arrived hoping to get a light meal and something to drink however, the kitchen was already closed and they could therefore only accommodate us for drinks and/or cake. We then opted to just have drinks as, we could see they were waiting to close. To be fair, it was very quiet and we understood that it wasn’t worth staying open. Their business hours sign on the window (see image) which is quite humorous, does leave room for them to open and close as they see fit but, it makes it hard for patrons to know whether they’ll be open. I had an iced coffee but, it was very weak as the coffee to milk ratio was a bit off. The service was however quite good as the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and the decor was trendy. I look forward to giving them another try when the kitchen is open and I’m able to try their food.

Awesome spot to grab a quick bite. Food portions are generous yet reasonably priced. Everybody working at the shop is friendly and welcoming. Bonus: a barista that can make a brilliant cortado.

Eggs Benedict..to die for...excellent and tastfull food. Will go there again and will take friends with this time. Friendly staff and clean premises. Good atmosphere. 👍

Lovely atmosphere and staff. Went for Saturday Breakfast with the fam. Gave 5* because getting a HARD/dead cooked Eggs Benedict just right is apparently very difficult.... and these were perfect. The Spinach/potatoe waffel base was an awesome change from the regular English muffin. The Light bulbs miss matched to the Lamp shades was an intersection choice of decor....

Love coming to The Daily Coffee Shop at Okavango Crossing. The service is excellent and the food is always great. Their tin cup coffee is pretty awesome.

One of my favourite breakfast spots. Meal quality and quantity outweighs price. You get more than what you pay for. Also the atmosphere is nice and cozy

I can't go to this Centre without eating their Mozart cake.. Delicious and very popular.

Value for money stopped by for breakfast, again the quality and service did not disappoint. Great value for money. Keep up the good work.

What a brilliant little find! Some of the best coffee I've had in the northern suburbs, and the food and service is absolutely incredible! The waitress (Megan) also baked the most delicious Banting cheese cake! It's going to be our new favourite breakfast and lunch spot! It's perfect for quick meetings and the modern and relaxed atmosphere is just lovely!

To the ridiculous person who gave them a 1 star rating because they used plastic straws, even though she thought their food is great... Voila! Paper straw. I hope this makes you happy. As for us.. Great food! The Red Karoo is to die for. We'll be back.

Cooper, my medical service dog was literally received with open arms, a bowl of water and a bowl with treats eagerly provided with a huge thank you wave and a hug from Cooper. I can come here without the anxiety of being told my service dog is not welcome, to enjoy a cuppa with the best breakfast bowl you have ever eaten. You guys rock!!!

Literally never had a bad experience here. Always the absolute best service and food

This lovely coffee shop has the warmest most welcoming feeling. The waiting staff and owner are friendly and always going the extra mile to make your visit a happy one. The food and coffee is great and reasonably priced with alot of extra menu items beyond just coffee. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Unfortunately we arrived during loadshedding. Thankfully, a reduced but decent menu remains on offer while the power is out. The wife and I were both happy to order the eggs Benedict with bacon and a large cappuccino. The breakfast did not disappoint. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. All said and done, a really good start to the morning.

Great coffees and shakes. Good portioned breakfast. Effective service. All day breakfast. I had the Daily basic and was good value for money only @ R55.

I have given this place three chance and every time just got worse. The last time we had to wait an hour for our breakfast and half of the order was wrong. You could see the waiter wasn’t even listening to us while taking the order while other staff members where busy on their phone informs of customers. One lady working there was trying her best but unfortunately couldn’t make up for the mess the other once had created. Not even an apology.

Coffee 3.5
Dessert 1
Service 0

First of all, the name isn’t this. Coz all over it says “Famous bean cafe”. We were walking around and couldn’t find the daily whatever and realized that this is it.

What a disappointment! We walk in, no one greets us and there’s this hella awkward vibe inside. Nevertheless, we’re inside already, so we stayed.
We ordered a special with an americano & pancakes. Don’t order this! The pancakes are so dry and tasteless. I threw it away.

Their service is the worst! The woman helping us was so not in the mood to work. You could hear her coming as she was unable to pick up her feet from the floor. Then, I think it would’ve killed her to greet us or even smile. Poor woman.

I really advise you to give this place a skip. I’ll never go back. And we drove all the way from Bellville!

Great little spot to meet with a client or catch up with a friend. Friendly and fast service. Huge variety coffees, teas, ice drinks to choose from. Also great that they serve with Almond Milk as I no longer drink dairy. Very accommodating. Thank you

They have definitely improved since they first opened. Friendly, helpful staff. The coffee menu has a variety of different drinks and is of very quality. Delicious food that does not feel too unhealthy.

Although I only popped in for a take-away cappuccino & milkshake for my daughter the service & vibe was great, staff were really friendly, service was quick & both drinks were delicious, I will definitely be back!

Although the service was a bit slow the food was so incredible and coffee was just what I needed after a hectic run. Love the look and feel of this little restaurant

Cosy and wonderful.
Just wish they would add more mushrooms when you order it extra.
But still delicious breakfasts and coffee, worth the visit.
CapeCoffee
A Little Coffee Shop situated at the new Okavongo Crossing Center. The staff were friendly and helpful although waiting times were a little long for the number of patrons present at the time. The Coffee is everything you expect from the Torrador roast, A full flavour with good balance and expertly brewed to perfection. Only problem with the coffee was that it was not served at a temperature that was ready to drink (Although this shouldn't be a problem with some good company). Altogether a good place to pop in for a quick coffee.

Lots of potential. Attention to detail needed. Table wasn't clean. Cloth used on request neither. Here is a tip for the owner: make a rule that a cleaning cloth may only be in two places: your hand or a bucket with clean water & Jik.

Order came through wrong twice. I'm sure with some training and more hands on attention and most important, owner visibility, this place could prove to be fantastic.

These guys are the best! They know my order, make amazing coffee, and don't mind opening the doors for me even though they're busy closing. They also produce happiness in a cup
