My favorite place currently. The food is totally great. Flavour is awesome. Love their crispy fried meat range. The sushi is fresh. Big portion size even for take away. My favourite weekend snack place. The Rainbow meats is my no.1
If you want good sushi at a reasonable price, this is the place to go to. I usually have the sushi buffet and hubby would alternate between the Fish & Chips, Curry or their Sizzlers. We have been going there since they opened years ago and it might not be as fancy as CTFM or Nuri, but the sushi portions are a good size, fresh and the quality good.
I eat at a lot if sushi restaurants purely based on the fact that I love sushi and pretty much eat it whenever I can. This implying that I go to many different places which I do and I review them all and Best of Asia hit the nail on the head. At first I had some of their sushi and was not impressed.
But after I got my order and continued to take from the belt I was very pleasently surprised at how delicious their sushi is. I will say that the service does need some work but the Sushi Chefs are friendly and engaging as well as very clean when it comes to the preperation which is a very big thing.
This score is mainly based on the SUSHI so if you have read this trust me the food is good...well if you like raw fish that is :D
This place has been our sushi spot for over a year. We love comimg here. Food is excellent as well as service. We have NEVER had any issues.
The sushi is great and full of flavour, they also do not put too much rice on to make you feel stuffed quicker. The staff is very friendly. Area where the sushi is being prepared are very clean and tidy. The only downside is that the tables are not properly cleaned and set once customers leave. Overall a great experience with tasty sushi. Worth a try!!
We would eat here 3 times a week if we could. We drive from near Franschhoek to Best of Asia because it is such a great, relaxed experience.
The food is as fresh as you could ever hope for. The staff are so welcoming that they soon become like friends. Your favourite dish is yours within minutes and the pricing is just unbelievably good. Always a great variety and you can also ask for anything that catches your fancy and they will do their best to accommodate you.
I would recommend anyone who likes sushi to try it.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Nice variety of sushi and Chinese food to choose from, love their bean curd and salmon roses, chicken chow main is also delicious. Great for people starting to learn to enjoy sushi as you can choose your own variety when doing the buffet.
Came here for supper last night. Place was empty when we got there but filled up quick especially around the sushi belt.
Ordered the Tom Yum soup which was very spicy but delicious. Lots of prawn and mushrooms also. The sweet and sour pork was delicious, pork was very tender. The duck fried rice (which I shared with my 16 month old) was really good. And lastly the rainbow chow mein was a little oily but delicious.
Portions sizes are generous, prices are very reasonable. Will definitely return.
Came here for lunch with my mother. I am a very "picky" sushi eater, and have very high expectations when it comes to eating sushi. The sushi here are probably now in my top 3 best sushi of all time. So glad I found this place. Delicious, big variety and great value for money! Service was great since we got served by the owner. Very friendly and made us feel real welcome. Will definitely come here often to get my sushi-fix!
Buy two of the same colour coded sushi dishes and get one of the same colour free. Or you could always get a platter. Good food and service.
It's not the best green chicken curry I've had, BUT my wife loved the chicken chow mein. They put in extra ginger, didn't charge for extra chilli, and they are NOT GREEDY on prices. Will definitely go back soon to try other noodles 🍜 dishes and fried rice.
Second time in 3 weeks visiting a best of Asia branch. First visit to this one. Lived up the name and expectations. Even a few differences to their menu that makes it better.

Was very nice. We had the sushi buffet for R189 all you can eat. Good value for money. I found the rice to be a little but too "stodgy/sticky" but the rest of the ingredients were nice and fresh. Tempura prawn was very nice.
I used to buy sushi from another store until they got cheap and sliced their sushi so thin that one could literally look right thru it. We tried Best of Asia about two months ago for the first time and havn't regretted it! I love their sushi. Great quality. Love the buy two get one free special. Your sushi is fantastic. Friendly and fast service. Thank you guys
As long as you keep this standard up we will always be back. We eat sushi at least once a week.
Food is always up to standard,they treat their customers as family and the atmosphere is always on point. I don't have my sushi anywhere else
The sushi was so good we had to go back after 1 week! We absolutely enjoyed all of our visits to best of Asia Cape Gate. The staff are friendly and sushi super fresh. There was a good variety on the belt, which was constantly being filled. We will definitely be returning!!
