Great service! Lekker food! Awesome drink specials!!! Loved it, however didn't get the full experience of the place and just sat outside enjoying the day, but the music from the bar side kept us entertained. Will definitely be back... Sooner than later!

Ahhh my favourite Saturday live entertainment venue. Excellent prices on good and drinks. You must try them out! Now that we in these dtrabgeccovid times I just want to say that the Same Shack never serves u anything but the best food and I pop in alone for a bite to eat before I go home many times

We had the most awesome night here, staff were amazing & the incredible band Kahleesi, blew our socks off with their gorgeous voices! Will definitely see them soon!

There is something special about this place, as I keep going back. The food is really good and well priced. It all depends what you are looking for, but at the shack you can be assured of well attentive and friendly staff, well-priced drinks and good music.

A sure hang-out. The Same Shack cater for all with various seating areas. From dance floor to quiet open area. Even pub style if you fancy that. The food is great and the variety will suit all different demands. I'll be back.

Good vibe and loud music but the service from Lazarus our waiter is out of this world. An incredibly gentle soul that makes the customer a priority. I would start up a restaurant just to have him lead my staff... Well done management.

Initially just stopped for a light meal and a drink. But it has grown on me. There meals and combo's are so well priced and the service real good. Lately my go to place when in Boksburg. Live music and definitely worth a visit when you in the area. Good vibe and safe. Went to buy furniture in the area and went for a meal. Enjoyed the vibe and left real late. Meal and drink pricing in unbelievable. Give it a visit when close-by. Well worth it.

Had lunch at the Same Shack on a Monday Service we received from Natasha our server and the manager/owner was fantastic. Drinks came continuously and food was great. I had a pizza that was absolutely amazing. The men had a steak and a chicken schnitzel, and also said the food was good. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

26.01.2019 Previously known as The Soul Shack, it changed names in 2018, with a few changes to it. Situated off the busy Trichardt Str, it's easy to miss when driving past. It's quite a large space with inside and outside tables, a huge bar area, as well as another outside area at the back where they have live music. If you inside you don't really hear all the noise out back.<br/><br/>They have a good varied menu, with some interesting combinations of foods so there is something to suit all tastebuds and I must say they have an impressive bar menu selection.<br/><br/>I went for the Long Island Coke (hoping to cure my flu). I was originally ordering the ribs and spicy wings combo which is their Saturday special. Confused, as I thought the extra costs was to upgrade the ribs size to 500g from 300g, but sadly it was just the ribs and chips on their own. I ordered a side of Onion Rings (as you know there are a few staple foods I like to compare everywhere) they were nice but sadly not the best in the east as they claim. My Ribs arrived cold which was a bit of a disappointment, but their chips were good. I would have liked some more sauce on my ribs as they tasted good, mom's prawns cocktail was nice, and had a proper spicy kick to it.<br/><br/>My sister had the Blue cheese snails, but it didn't have as strong a smell/ taste as expected, but the snails were soft and edible. She also tried the Fillet Trinchado in BBQ sauce, but tasted like the rump as it wasn't as tender, and had a strong tomato based flavour.<br/><br/>They also have a kiddies play area outside. Nice spot . Live bands and quick good service. Owner hands on must have come to our table 5 x times asking if everything was ok. Pub style grub and booze as cheap as chips.

Great vibe and mood with a great dj. The food was nothing special though, stale rolls that I returned and got some more stale rolls(yikes). You will definetly enjoy the atmosphere and staff just that the food won’t as great(it is okay but not great).

Food is great. Great specials. Friendly staff. Fun and energetic vibe. Fun for all ages. Will definitely recommend the steak and the mushroom sauce. Pizzas are delicious and baskets are good. Affordable and delicious

Their food is amazing ! We have had only polite waiter's, they do take a bit long but its worth the wait. They have a very relaxed atmosphere. If we had problems the manager sorted us out ! Keep it up. It would just be more easier if they had a better call and collect service for take aways for people who dont want to sit there.

Worst restaurant I’ve been too - rump steak full of sinew, horrible service & didn’t even have one card machine working! Buttons broken on device! Very unhappy customer.

Extremely rude manager that is disrespectful to customers, if and when you complain about the food. Got told I think I'm smart because I complained about something.

The service is horrible, especially if you are a non-white, the one Sunday I waited over an hour waiting for a take away order, no one paid attention even after I enquired how far the waiters were with my order, a family of eight arrived after me, they were served they ate while I was still waiting, I eventually decided to leave and went home to cook... avoid that place at all cost. I hate the sight of it... I'll never got there again. I've never been made to feel so little like that day

Nothing to spectacular, didn't have high expectations but I was still a bit disappointed. The place it self feels off it's dirty and messy. The waitress was missing for more then half of the night, we had pizza wasn't to bad but not a place to order food.

It is a pub around Boksburg on trichards road. It is quite white dominant(no offence, I am not trying to be racist). I got into the pub on a Friday evening and got weird looks & rather very intimidating stares.<br/><br/>They need to do something about their parking because it gets quite full and they have limited parking(cars are parked outside on the pavement which really isn't safe).<br/><br/>Their alcohol is not overpriced at all and overall just in essence they have really friendly staff.

The entertainment was excellent the service shocking half the table got there food and the other after an hour later had still not got their food. I understand that it been Father's Day they are busy but this is unacceptable I am really disappointed. The rating is purely for the entertainment

This place used to be fun as i would go there with my buddies every Friday and Saturday until the owner of the pub started making us feel uncomfortable. It is with shame to learn that every black person that visits this place is regarded as a drug dealer. For the first time i felt as if being black is a curse. On Friday night, the door bouncers chased our friends out of the club and called police for them, accusing them of selling drugs. Last night, me and my buddy took his girlfriend to this place because she heard of how much we praised this place but her first experience at the joint wasn't cool at all as the owner deployed spies on us. the whole lot of door bouncers came to sit next to us and literally staring at us and that felt so awkward to we had to settle our bill and the left the place for News cafe'. i mean we work a 5 day week and we only want to relax ourselves as this place is a cool place but little did we know blacks are ALIENS at this place. really pathetic of the owner to judge a human being by the color of their skin... #DISAPPOINTED CLIENT.

So far not too impressed. Another place that unhygienically does not believe in lids on Tabasco bottles. Other sauce bottles all have cracked open lids. <br/>Otherwise the breakfast is decent, just the overall hygiene let's them down.

Love this local pub! One would never expect this little gem down Trichardt road. Souls has friendly bartenders with fantastic service! Extremely reasonable prices and it has a great vibe! Food is always delicious and served in reasonable times regardless of how busy they are. Don't expect fine dinning but there menu caters to all and the food portions are big and delicious.

Really nice place , good food , great atmosphere , and very reasonable prices. Love the fact that there is nice entertainment not only for us adults but for our kids too. Will most definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends and come back again. The pizza is a must!!
