Casa do Campo - Boksburg has been around for a long time and we have always wanted to give them a try. No matter when you drive past it's always packed with cars, and many friends have said they loved it.
We decided to book here to celebrate my dad's birthday and see what it has to offer.
Great selection of food, and all your usual favourites. For starters we ordered the Garlic Snails, Creamy Garlic Prawns and the Chicken livers. Everything was delicious and full of flavour, we indulged properly and enjoyed their Peri peri sauce too. To drink I had the Sangria which wasnt bad, my mom had the Strawberry Daiquiri, which was a bit too sweet /syrupy and my sisters had the Tequila sunrise.
Although a bit full, we still had to have mains. No ways we passing up some meat. Our waiter Jabu told us the specials, and gave us some suggestions. So we ordered the Chicken and Prawn Curry, the Steak with Mussel sauce, Steak Eggs and Chips, The Chicken and Ribs Combo and the Rabbit Stew. The chips they make are really good topped with their Peri sauce, the steaks were tender, my chicken was finger licking and so was my ribs. The rabbit - tasted like chicken ๐ As an extra side we had to have a portion of Milho frito (it's my other love interest besides good Onion Rings) and they were fabulous. Slightly better than my other favourite Portuguese restaurant I normally get from.
Our meals were really fantastic and portions were good. Our Waiter Jabu was also on point with a good sense of humour. Added bonus he mentioned that they sell the Milho Frito unfried, so we could take a portion home and fry it ourselves.
No space for dessert, but I would definitely be back for more. It's obvious now why this place is always busy. Good simple comfort food, and a chilled atmosphere.

Our go-to family restaurant where the kids can play, adults can watch sports or listen to live entertainment/music. Wide variety of meals on the menu - makes it hard to choose. Always good food and service!
Great experience with the family, enjoyed a great bread, chicken and prawns. Their salads are made with fresh ingredients and bring life to your tastebuds.
Fun and jolly party type atmosphere. Not really classy but you can surely have a great time with friends and family. The service is a little slow, but I would write that off to extremely busy and packed restaurant. The food is rather average, the rump steak was disappointing as we believe it was pan fried and the kingklip was rather dry.
Been hereย a couple of timesย and going back again!!!The food is absolutely fabulous - prawns, fish, chicken,ย all top notch!The owner is hands on and most accommodating .Had a wonderful meal and a very nice vibe and atmosphere to go with it!ย A must to go!
Great place to enjoy a casual evening food was great and not badly priced.... Service average but food made up for it! Will be back
Great flavours, the calamari and steak were particularly good. Unfortunately the service wasn't the best, having asked for a medium rare steak and being given a well done one. The dessert was also disappointing, the chocolate mousse seemed old and tasted quite bitter. A nice atmosphere otherwise, and the outside area is nice and cosy.
Fantastic best Portuguese food in the east rand!!! I especially love their half a chicken and prawns with milofrito!! An absolute must!!!

Was peace and perfect atmosphere with respect of other clients. Not like other restuarants where loud and scream fill the place and on edge with not to act.
Still some of the best seafood in Boksburg. Super Frienly and Ultra efficient Waiters. We Love to dine there and You will see us often.
My wife had the Ladies Ribs and. Chips, while I had the Eisbien and Chips followed by Cappuccinos. Service was fast and very friendly. Food arrived fast and was hot and very tasty.

Really a nice place the steak is so tender and juicy can't wait to go back.
A nice place with loads of seating available. The food was tasty and we really enjoyed the prawns that was on special. The full chicken was tasty and well priced. Also enjoyed the chocolate volcano dessert. Service was a bit slow but the staff was friendly. Will surely go back again for prawns and the nice atmosphere!
Amazing food with very generous portions.
Needs better "yellow" lighting to give it a nicer and more comfortable atmosphere. It's difficult to see or even read a menu with that terribly harshwhite lighting. You get yellow LED that you can replace some of your white led lights with.
The food was nice, we enjoyed it. It was just the lighting that bothered us.
Stopped there by chance on Friday afternoon 11th August. Amazing food, prices affordable.

A wonderful experience, the service was great and the ambiance was amazing, the food was really good except that the fish (we had grilled fish) was very dry. However our starters and my sons eishbein was excellent. Will really recommend you give them a try.
Food was delicious. Well prepared and presented. No loud music, so friends could talk. They have a liquor licence and car guard.
Definitely recommended.
