Yesterday, after a long and busy day, we chose to get a takeaway instead and the food was so, so good 😋
The food was very neatly packed (compared to how other places pack food when ordering a takeaway) and looked so appetizing.
The only reason this place gets 4 and not a 5 is the decor.. but the delicious food makes up for it...

Went to Zorbas for the first time on Saturday for lunch. Vibe was relaxed and pleasant. We had cocktails to drink - strawberry and mango daiquiri's - they were lovely. Both had the mixed grill - absolutely Divine - fresh, tasty and some of the best chips I have ever eaten. Meat was tender, tzatziki great an all round sampler of so many delish things. Our waiter Stella was very attentive and friendly. For dessert the yoghurt nuts and honey - sublime. Great food, great pricing, relaxed way to spend a pleasant Saturday. Will definitely be back.
Good Mediterranean food with a great selection of Greek authentic food. They are quick with the food as well. Prices are very reasonable for average size portions of food, maybe not the best t in East Rand but well worth a stop.
I can only speak for take away orders we just placed. Not a quite a 5 although most people do rate Zorbas a 5! My meal was very good and I will be back for more. Unfortunately my colleague specifically requested no garnish and his pita was loaded with tomato and cucumber. When he called the manager on duty he said sorry about that have a good day?? Another colleague of mine jumped on the phone and only now will they replace their mistake. I also note there are quite a lot of complaints about the staff and other reviews......that said my meal was really good!
Had a fantastic time at Zorbas Taverna. Awesome ambiance, typical Greek culture - fantastic vibe! Our food was truly delicious. Good friendly service and a great variety of traditional Greek cuisine. Food is well priced and value for money. East rand need more decent resturants like this. Will be back next time I am in Jozi.

Upon arrival it was good we were greeted by friendly staff. The entertainment was a bit slow in the beginning as we expect a bit more Greek music and a greek vibe. But as the evening went on the Greek music was playing and dancing and breaking plates and the food was great we all were very happy with the food and service. The owners wish my mom a very happy birthday which made it really nice and the Greek singer well his a brilliant entertainer. Well done zorba.
Having not had a decent Yiro for a while i stopped in at Zorbas to grab a quick lunch take away. The decor is traditionally greek kitch but creates a great atmosphere and I'm sure it has lots of plate breaking madness come weekends. The staff and owners are very attentive and enthusiatic and take pride in their establishment. Better for a sit down meal as the take away beef yiro took a bit of a while. However was very clean and delicious. Beef pehaps could have been a bit tenderer but flavour was great overall. Would like to return to sample the rest of their menu and feel the ambiance in the evenings
Great hidden gem in Boksburg. Quaint place with a hospitable feel. Went on a quiet evening and was taken well care of. Food was good. Portions decent and flavourful.

Who would have thought that a cheesily named restaurant in Boksburg would be THIS good? Not us!
Popped in for dinner this week and wow, were we surprised. The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived, but there was still a great atmosphere.
We ordered the "Zorba Special" and the 3-piece Souvlaki grill.
The Zorba special can only be described as the ultimate Greek comfort food dish. Beef and haloumi cheese in a delicious tomato and onion salsa on a bed of chips and pita bread. It was a huge portion size which provided for lunch the next day. Deliciously tasty and flavorful.
The 3 souvlaki kebabs were seasoned beautifully and served with chips, delicious fresh tzatziki and warm pita bread. Again, enough for lunch the next day.
Service was friendly and efficient without being disruptively attentive. I got a portion of Baklava to take home and it was deliciously nutty and sweet.
Would we go back? Hell yes. This is a gem of a place to eat. Definitely a winner.

Most times when I come to this centre we usually getting takeaways. So far we have only bought the Greek biscuits from here which are absolutely delicious. One of the days I will give the food a try.

We pop in often for a quick bite. Food is authentic Greek. Kofta and Sheftalia are family favourites. Reasonably priced, family run, friendly atmosphere.

Zorbas was amazing, had an amazing time with friends, and eventful evening with great entertainment from belly dancers, excellent singers and some crazy plate breaking and a wonderful Greek experience. Most friendly staff and Owners. Wow. It was good. Highly recommended on a Friday or Saturday night.

We celebrated a birthday with a group of 18 guests. We had pizzas, prawns, lamb ribs, lamb chops and seafood platters. All good value and tasty. The desserts were not as good. The service was good.
We came with a big group of friends after the highlands gathering. This place was epic. The food was good. The service was top notch and the entertainment was awesome.
There were belly dancers, plate breaking and some Greek dancing and singing. It was an amazing experience. Will definitely go again.

The restaurant is situated in a calm and cosy area close-by East Rand Mall, it is great for weekend outings with friends and family. I went there thanks to our boss who took our whole team out for lunch (whoopie lucky us! 😜), the staff was super friendly, with some apamiano music to dance to (if you don't mind being starred at), and their service was top notch!
Beautiful Greek resturant with amazing food lamb chops are superb and sea food is just as awesome. Milkshakes are amazing chocolate and strawberry. Chips are crispy and soft.
Service with a smile and very friendly. Resturant has a very nice feeling to it as well as some amazing deco.
They have some items for sale from necklaces to wine to different pastas.
Overall I'd give this resturant a definite stop on your journey.
I never write reviews but.. On 25th of March we had experienced over 12 hours of load shedding, and were desperately hungry. We arrived an hour prior to opening time and yet were given warm coffee and an amazing breakfast on a rainy morning, despite that we were so early.
The food itself was without fault and exceptional on every level! I had a sunrise pita that blew my mind and my wife had a breakfast stacker that she loved.
Real Greek hospitality and superb food. And great service as well! 10/5

Love Zorbas , check your bill , we absolutely love it , great vibe , great food , we had some drinks , Bill came and we paid 10% as we always do , the waitress will be the reason we do not go back , we where not told tip is included in the bill , very sneaky from the waitress , so now we double check everything, why ??? Why did she have to be sneaky ? Can we please be told that tip is included in the bill instead of thinking we doing something nice only to be screwed ?????? We have now limited our visits because of deceitfulnes.
Had a great dinner and some cold beers. Will definately be back.
