Great place for exquisite food, awesome ambience, superb service, but don't get caught buying medication from Leo the manager upfront because he never delivers the medication to you!!!very dissapointed in Leo.
I visit The Bistro at least twice a month, and every time I am impressed with their food and service. The management are hands on and motivate the waiters. The waiters are friendly and competent. The food is good and not excessively expensive. Even when they were very busy, I never felt forgotten.
All their wraps are very good with the chicken, pineapple and honey wrap one of my favourites. The pasta dishes are very good with the chicken liver dish and the vegetarian pasta with roasted butternut my favourites. ( I refer to the ingredients and not the name on the menu.) All the toasted sandwiches are worth a try.
If you want to spoil yourself with cake, try the red velvet, carrot, and chocolate cakes. They are my favourites: moist, and packed with flavour. Always fresh. Not recommended for the calory counters!
I love STRONG black coffee. The Bistro's filter coffee is good, but could be stronger. The cappuccino is however to weak for my taste and I always add an extra espresso. The milkshakes ( my husband's favourite) are thick and tasty. I do miss however their old coffee mugs. Their new mugs ( transparent and extremely light) takes away some of the pleasure of a hot sturdy mug of coffee. It is my own preference and most people like the new mugs.
If you want to have a decent light meal with good service in a coffee shop environment; visit the Bistro.
Stopped by for breakfast. The place was busy but we got good service from Lance. And the managers kept stopping by to ask if we were still okay and enjoying our food, which I loved. The food was good, and we didn't have to wait long for it.
Tasty meals at a very fair price. Great venue for meeting friends if youre not shure what they would prefer to eat because this place has a huge variety on their menu
They have some of the best coffee I have ever come across, the food is beyond amazing and the service is impeccable. The waiters are very attentive and everyone works hard to ensure that you have a good experience here.

After what I thought was a bad experience today , I messaged the restaurant and I'm impressed to see the fast response to the issue I had . The Bistro Team responded and sent me a very comforting message on Messenger. I normally review restaurants locally and internationally - also on google and get over 38000 views on my reviews and I must say this is the first time I have been overwhelmed by the positive response I have received from any restaurant. I will definitely be in for that "Lunch " and then review

Service was good. The milkshakes were amazing, Had the Nutella one while my dad had the coffee one. Their Alfredo is to die for, been looking for a place with good pastas. Finally found one.
Would definitely recommend to friends.
The photos of the food on Zomato made me decide to try @The Bistro - it just looked tasty and fresh. So myself, my wife, my sister and my elderly aunt tootled along to the Boksburg branch for my aunt's birthday lunch. The vibe was calm but convivial, the staff were attentive but not overbearing, and most of all the food was delicious. Good strong coffee with decent fresh cream completed the picture. The bacon, halloumi and avo schwarma I had was fantastic; the accompanying crispy chips were seasoned to perfection. The sirloin steak my sister ordered as prepared exactly as requested. To sum up, we had a lively and memorable lunch and we will definitely be back if and when we're in the area again.

Choices, choices, choices… @ The Bistro offers it.
After spending a lot of time researching restaurants to visit in the east rand area. Phew! what a job that was, there isn’t a lot of unique spots, mostly just your Wimpys and Spurs. We were delighted to have found this place on North Rand Road.
They have an inspirational range of choices both for breakfast and lunch. After some time of weighing the options, we decided to go for the Bacon Feta Avocado Savory Pancake, the Crumbed Chicken Burger, and the Sweet Sticky Pork Spareribs. All were amazing except they might need to revisit their pancake recipe as without the filling it didn’t taste like anything, and the cheese sauce was quite bland as well.
Service was excellent, they might need to pay a little more attention to detail and wipe their oily fingerprint off the plate before serving.
Cozy atmosphere for a lovely winter’s day that made us not want to leave.This is definitely a place where friends meet for good food and drinks. Unfortunately, you have to walk past a cloud of smoke from the smokers area to get inside.
It is a just shame that they are not open for dinner.

Black Friday!! Chaos & traffic & people everywhere!
Brought the Nanny to the centre & while she queued my daughter & I headed to this restaurant for relief.
It's located right next to DisChem & is easily accessible.
We were greeted by manager Brendon and he was very helpful & friendly & accommodating.
Half the outside glass patio area is dedicated for smokers & the other half for non smokers. This area was full so we ended up inside. The tables are not right on top of each other and there is breathing room to enjoy ones visit.
Our waitress was great and did a good job of serving us.
My daughter ordered a milkshake and some fries. The milkshake came in a paper takeaway glass that was idea for her. Her fries looked fresh and firm and tasted great. The chip spice was also tasty. The milkshake went down a treat.
I had eggs Benedict and an espresso. This meal can be a bit tricky at the best of times and also people make so many different variations of the truth. Mine arrived on an interesting looking bagel with the top half mounted vertically next to the bottom half. The ham was fresh but I bit into two very hard yucky pieces in it, twice. Ouch. The sauce was rich, creamy and nice and the eggs a perfect medium. Overall I enjoyed it but I must say it was a bit cold, even the eggs, and I felt there was a little too much spring onion on top as it did at times dominate the overall taste. Both my espresso's were pretty good and they complimented the meal very nicely.
Summing up, we had a good experience & got the relief from Black Friday that we were looking for.
I believe they opening a second branch only 1 km away from my house in December, so I'm looking forward to that.
03/01/17 - went for breakfast at Rynfield shop. Manager told me Zomato is not worth their time so they not registering with them. He said the Boksburg shop is already on Zomato and they the same.
I therefore can't write a review of my breakfast.
First time eating here and absolutely blown away by everything. The service we received from Fathima was absolutely incredible and our breakfasts were devine! We will definitely be back again.
The food was fantastic and the service wonderful! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The manager also came and greeted us. The waiting time for the food is little... took less than 10mins for it to be ready. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. The quality of the food was great. Fantastic experience...will definitely come again!
Nice little place to go to if you're in Boksburg. They have a fairly extensive breakfast and drinks menu, so there really is something for everyone, with decent portion sizes and fair prices. Service can be a bit slow, but overall I like the place.

Fantastic food and great service! Walter is the best waiter! Never been disappointed. Would give it 5:5 if they had a bottomless coffee option like Mugg and Bean because their wifi is great too!

Convenient setting with friendly staff and atmosphere. The Bistro was busy and the food was tasty and served promptly. Will definitely come back again to try the pancakes and waffles.
@ the Bistro is the place to be. This is my go to for lunch. My friends and I will meet here for late lunch. Good service. Friendly management. Homey atmosphere. It does not matter if you go there for just a coffee or for lunch you always welcomed. Food is delicious. I love their pastas.
This is one of my favourite spots to get a bite to eat. They have been around a very long time. Previously it was the cafe nescafe until the changes happened in and around the centre. Its situated so conveniently by the dischem and health worx centre.
I have never had a bad meal here and the service is good, sometimes they can be a bit slow as they do get very busy. Food is always well presented tasty and fresh. I love their peri peri sauce i always dunk my chips in it even though they have a good spice on it.
They have an excellent variety of food for all tastes be it breakfast mains or even just cakes and desserts. Prices are reasonable too. I enjoy their chicken or beef burgers and their wraps are also not bad.
