Review Cuisine Afrique - Boksburg

The food in this place is simply amazing - I had lamb chops and they were really good. They have the biggest cuts of meat I've ever seen, that applies to their steak too. Also had some mocktails, which were really great so that's something to look forward too if you don't drink alcohol. Also the samosas they serve before the starters are really good - wish they were listed on the menu.. the mains did take a while to arrive but it was totally worth the wait, highly recommend. Big space with a somewhat vintage feel..

I stay at this hotel often and always have diner at their inhouse restautant. I have tried many a option on their menu and WOW. Service is great and the food awesome. Feom their Eisbeins (my favourite) to their vegetarian options. Rooms are clean and neat and electricity is always on due to their own backup generator. A++ raring for AB hotel!!

I recently hosted a baby shower for my wife at this restaurant and everything went great. I was assisted by Alice, their Function Coordinator, to make my event a success. Definitely will be going back soon, after the hospitality they showed. The food was great as well. The place is really beautiful 🙌🏾.

Excellent food with only the (otherwise delicious) pesto pasta main dish slightly over salted, and the yummy volcano dessert not delivering a molten chocolate show, which is why the food rating jussst missed out on a 5. Attentive friendly service, yet we missed the personalised interaction and charm (even confidence and cheek) of an owner, shareholder, or senior manager on the floor. Beautiful gardens and neat decor, with only the choice of music (pub and club tunes) not complementing the elegant environment and great food. Overall though, highly recommended. Would like to see what this chef could do with a vegan or vegetarian menu prepared from scratch. Confident it would be outstanding.

Great restaurant with an African safari touch to it. Good for wine pairing and relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly staff, only impediment is that they need to teach staff about wine pairing. Also need to teach staff to explain the different meant grades. They have a good variety of grades.

Seperate Vegan menu. Absolutely amazing service. Thank you Felix and Desire. The food was very tasty, had the Napoletana Beyond Meatballs, definitely going back to try some of the other items in the menu. . The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and even made us a small pre dinner snack that was so good. Hoping that the menu will grow and that we can expect some starters and desserts soon 🤞

Im actually too scared to give my reviews, I dont want our fav place to become crowded :) This is our fav restaurant ever, magical spot, feels like home. We go there regularly and have introduced a lot of people to the experience. Would definitely recommend!

A stunning venue for any occasion. I recently attended a wedding there and it quite lovely. Their garden red carpet walkway was a bit impractical as the stone blocks are not really spaced correctly for a carpetted walkway. The food was lovely and the venue is a small slice of heaven hidden for privacy and comfort.

Visited Cuisine Afrique for the first time this evening. Food, ambience, including stunning artwork, was stunning. Will definitely be back and so positive about bringing close friends too. Only very slight negative was that the choosing of meal on electronic tablet didn't add to our overall wonderful experience. We made an excellent choice for our first dinner in South Africa: Cuisine Afrique.We ordered a T-bone steak and a merlot from South Africa. The tender steak is delicious and the wine superb. The bonfire and paintings on the wall create a nice atmosphere. The service is good. It felt like a warm and wholeheartedly welcome. Highly recommended.

This is an absolute 5 star establishment. The food and service are out of this world. Very safe parking on the premises. We were treated as Royalty by our Waiters, yes Waiters,,, we ordered the Porkchops and vegetables,,, soooooo nice,,

Cuisine Afrique made our 5th wedding anniversary very special. From the compliment champagne, spring roll and mussel starters, the main course and drinks to the ambiance were perfect. Will recommend this to every one who want to have a romantic dinner or who just want to enjoy fine cuisine.

Most amazing restaurant ever!! the waitress was amazing, Jacqui you rock! My boyfriend booked a table in a private area in the restaurant when we got there Jacqui had roses on the table (obviously she knew about the plans) and all the candles were lit in the room it was so cozy and romantic. Little did I know this special place where we had our first date was going to be the place he proposes to me!! The food was amazing and the staff are excellent! This should be listed under hidden gems. Quaint small restaurant that delivered efficient service, well presented and tasty food at competitive pricing. We ordered king prawns and stuffed chicken breast. All in all a pleasant dinning experience and we will be back. We seem to be deprived of good restaurants in the Boksburg area. Well done to Cuisine Afrique.

We were there a few weeks ago. And we will absolutely be back ! We always have a struggle to find romantic places, but our search was seriously spot on with this one. Very very romantic, amazing food, great service and yet not even expensive. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Keep it up and you will have a lot of regulars for years to come

P and I wanted to try out some fish, we looked at TripAdvisor and This was listed as one of the top restaurants in thrnarea. We made a reservation. When we arrived we were blown away by thrnrelaxed atmosphere, the garden setting is truly romantic and exquisite. The service we received was excellent and the food amazing. I had Kingklip and P had their sole. It was tasty, nicely set up and you feel like you actually away. Totally special and this is seriously hidden gem of note. Absolute worth a try

Honestly the best place I've been to in a while quiet neat beautiful setting for a romantic evening or even with the family. Love the food quality kind staff and honestly will be the only place I'll go to for the night out... :) Tonight is business colleges and the place just suits all occasions. Keep it up guys :)

One of my favorite places to eat at. So happy to bring my fiancé and have a romantic evening/day, the staff are awesome and the food just as good but it is the setting that makes it, it feels so welcoming and a home away from home.

The food was absolutely outstanding. We had great starters and mains. The decor is nice and the waiters have been trained on how to serve the food but I don't believe they understood questions about the food, size of dish and what we were asking for. I would go back for the food but I believe they can up their game with the waiters

What an amazing environment. So professional and welcoming. The food is incredible and so is the service!!! What surprised me the ostrich easy how affordable the food is and your still get a quality meal.

So, this is a really really good hotel restaurant, but unfortunatley as a local in the area it only feels like exactly that. It has a really warm and comforting outside area, filled with comfy chairs and big fires going to cure the winter blues, the inside dining area is rectangular and has comforting african decor with a warm fireplace situated in the centre.<br/><br/>Service is provided by a very enthusiastic team and on point. The complimentary pre starter of butternut soup was very flavoursome and a nice variation to the traditional bread basket. The pre main lemon sorbet a good pallet cleanser.<br/><br/>For starters we had the snails gorgonzola and camembert halloumi combo. Gorgonzola sauce was fantastic and came with the traditional oldschool brown bread halves while the fried camembert was tasty and oozing out on the first slice, the halloumi was placed on cold cucumber and didnt have the same indulgent melt in your mouth sensation but rather a squeaky bite due to the temp variation, the sweetness from the cranberry sauce balanced out the saltiness well.<br/><br/>For mains I had the 350g rump with white wine sauce with a side of mash and my better half a half portion of ribs, the steak was unfortuntley sinewy and the mash a little lumpy with a slight taste of marg rather than cream and butter, ribs on the otherhand were a top quality cut, sticky and well basted. The side portion of chips were both crunchy,soft on the inside and get top marks.<br/><br/>Overall a great establishment, pricing is decent, genorous selection of wine & coctails (mint & cherry wine spritzer refreshing and unique) and atmosphere good.

What a quaint and cosy restaurant this is. We came to a warm environment where we found the fireplace lit. The bathrooms are very clean and well kept.<br/>We were waited upon by Melody who truly made the evening a joyous occasion for us. She really went out of her way to make us feel at home and comfortable.<br/>Starters I ordered the chicken wings and blue cheese dip where the dip was the star of this 1st course. In between the palate cleanser sorbet I ordered the 500g t-bone medium-rare with a black pepper sauce and this meal was amazingly divine. To end of a perfect evening i had the passionate lemon cheesecake that wrapped up a beautiful dinner date with @omphemetse_mafubelu . I would definitely recommend and return to this establishment. Definitely one of Boksburg's well kept secrets. <br/>You also get a wifi voucher for 1gig when you dine here.<br/>

We went to this restaurant for the first time 2 weeks ago and were very pleasantly surprised. The food wad great. The staff were excellent and the setting was quiet and tasteful. Even the music was perfect. This is a hidden gem in Boksburg and we will definitely return and enjoy the experience again. Enjoyed a fabulous meal to celebrate our 25th Anniversary - Beef Carpaccio followed by Prawns and then Cherries Jubilee (no-one does this old fashioned favourite anymore!). Hubby had Chicken Livers, Lamb Shank and Malva Pudding.  Food was great, staff were attentive without hovering, table was decorated for a special occasion - a true hidden gem in Boksburg.

The service is excellent, the menu is not too big nor too small, but be sure that you'll have the feast of your life no matter what you choose. Prices are below market if you take the experience and quality into consideration.

What a delightful little gem in the middle of Boksburg. The food is very good and the servers are very attentive. The menu has a variety of options and the prices are very reasonable.

What a phenominal place, lovely fire on the outside by pagola with leather sofas. Hors de ouvres on seating, sorbet of the day to cleanse the pallet and excellent quality of all food especially liked the grills. Service empecable best I have had in a while.

For starter, my partner and I had this creamy mussels with a freshly and delicious bread. For main, I had a lemon chicken pasta which was divine and my partner had a spatcock chicken which deserved thumbs up. To end our amazing evening, we both chose to have a chocolate volcano which sweetened our night. <br/><br/>

I love the ouside dining area and the comfy couches. If you are a meat lover, Cuisine Afrique is a must. There is a variety of interesting vegetarian dishes for the veggie lovers as well. The perfect place for a romantic wine and dine evening - candle light, fire places and stunning gardens. A city oasis! The arty decor always facinates me. You won't be bored easily with the selection of craft beers and unique cocktails. I highly recommend Cuisine Afrique.
