Review The Ocean Sizzler - Bloubergstrand

Breath taking views from a modern, executive apartment (252 Eden on the Bay) situated approximately 50m from the beach in Bloubergstrand. Variety of restaurants at the ground level, close to amenities, shops, medical care, veterinary, fast foods, access controlled parking. Highly recommended for both short term & long term stays (business or leisure). This place warrants many returns.

Seat...best place to be...Just love their Sushi and fried pancake with custard and ice cream and my furkids are welcome at tables outside !! Just awesome !!

Fantastic vibes spot. Best view of Table MTN. Lots of eateries. Was disappointed that the grass was almost dead.

Eden lives up to its name by being a beautiful place to live or socialise with friends right on the beach. There are multiple restaurants with food as multicultural as our rainbow nation. The perfect place for families with pets, water sports enthusiasts, and tourists. Stunning views of Robben Island and Table Mountain.

Nice beach, conveniently located. Generally colder ocean water, but during low tide you can walk across to the island with little rock pools. Close to shops and amenities.

Lovely place to be. The views are just beautiful, with the the blue water if the west coast, and there's plenty of restaurants to choose from. The people are very nice and chilled.

Great beach! Restaurants are fantastic, and as full as they get, the service delivery is still in the ball. Pet friendly and popular area for walking your dog(s) along the promenade or the never-ending shore line. Stunning view of Table Mountain! All public toilets are well maintained! The shops in the center are neat and clean! There are friendly staff at all the outlets, and for those who don't know, there is an excellent Vet there called Bergzicht Animal Hospital. They saved our little female Schnauzer's life, and we will forever be grateful. To the staff who clean the beaches, we are grateful for you as you greet people with a smile while you carry on working. The only snag for me is that parking on a hot summer day may be a problem, so perhaps make a bus trip on those days to avoid the frustration and an early for that matter if you want to get a spot on the beach early. 5 stars from me! Worst experience. Was directed to a table and left alone, I had to fetch my own drinks menu. After 30 minutes still not being served a waiter asks if we're okay (erm...no we've been sitting with no service), finally order drinks and food and end up waiting a lifetime for pasta which comes with no garlic or parmasan. 3 different waiters later, all of whom we had to call to ask for assistance, we ask for our bill. Not surprising then when the confused waiter says we have 3 bills as each time we ordered the waiter not knowing what was going on with our table, started a new bill. FML terrible service!! I will not recommend this restuarant, unless you have a HUGE amount of patience.

It was quite busy being woman's day. I asked for a table of one. I had hardly sat down and the menu was not even given to me when the waiter said "do you mind if I take your food and drink order as we are quite busy". I replied "I have not even got the menu yet, so if you're going to rush me like that I'll leave" he apologised. I was asked by the hostess if all was OK once when my food just arrived and I hadn't taken a bite yet. Otherwise I was left alone whole time. I waited for the bill a long time and for the card machine as well. They were quite busy though and their bigger tables were attended To. Pity as a single one often gets treated like you're a nuisance. At a restaurant. The waiter was not rude, just not there.

Was there yesterday with friends. Angela our waitress was friendly and helpful although she got the one order wrong - chips with the one meal instead of a salad. Which she then brought afterwards. My other friend ordered the starter mushrooms for R59 but only got 5 mushrooms. He complained to the waitress and asked to speak to the manager about the small portion. The manager never showed and after about 20 min another starter mushrooms with 5 mushrooms arrived. That was free of charge as we were only billed for one. Vibe, view and live one man band was good.

My hubby and I went for breakfast on Sunday 22 Jan 2017. My teapot arrived without a lid. There was a saucer on top. The waitress said that in the whole restaurant there were no lids. I asked for the manager. After a long time he arrived and said it is inexcusable because all was broken. He was just informex about it that morning. He did say however that he did buy new teapots. I asked him why I wasn't served with a new pot rhen. He said that he did not know and blamed the waitress. A little later the waitress arrived with a big, new teapot and blamed the manager. Nice teamwork!

Very bad experience. From the horrible service of the waiter nd the food that was not up to standard. We waited so long for food and when it eventually came the order was incomplete. Then we had to wait almost another half and hour food the other food. Will definitly never go there again!

Was there yesternight, the service was superb, the food amazing, the only downside was that food took long to come, maybe it's because I was too hungry. But yhaa I highly recommend it.

Awesome place! Went for breakfast,ended up staying from lunch!good vibe. Nice owner and staff. Will definitely be back.

What a terrible experience we had a a party of twelve people after an hour and a half the first six got their food and two hours later the next three two pizzas put in a box for take away because we couldn't wait any longer and one meal not served what a waste of money, waitress didn't have a clue what's going on just because it's situated in a nice location doesn't warrant such poor management I suggest if you want to keep your business you better invest in proper management and train your staff disaster of note.

This restaurant is situated in one of the best chill spots of Cape Town. Incredible views of Cape Town,- across the bay. Also of Table Mountain and of magnificent sunsets. Seating outside and inside. Well stocked bar. Friendly staff

Always had awesome service from Samantha (matre de),Priscilla and precious!!great vibe and good food!!they are exploring with singers which is a good thing..one man band got a bit bland....very friendly and helpful....for the last 3 years only had good food and good service!!!well done!!

Service a bit slow but the food was of good quality. The new owner made an effort to introduce himself to all the tables. Will go there again

They have non smoking signs up but people are allowed to smoke with kids around. The music was totally loud the whole time i could not even hear the waiter speak once or twice. We waited 50 minutes for our food and they were not even busy. We wanted to order a jam jar and then after another 30 minutes they came to say sorry they dont make this today. After we then ordered something else they came back again after ensuring us they do serve this, they once again said sorry they also dont have this now. It does not look like a bad place but the service is not up to scratch. And they do not obey to their non smoking signs....

the service was crap and slow . fillet steak was over priced and too salty. spaghetti bolagnaise meat taisted like bully beef. one meal's rice wasn't served. sushi took way too long. I'd avoid this place.

A few weeks back we had great sushi, we went for brunch and it was awful. Service was slow, the waitress was scared of the dog running around, my husbands steak sandwich was mostly fat and when we complained the waitress just came back and said the manager apologises, he didn't come speak to us and still charged us full price.

Our waitress was very nice and was very quick but the food lacked a lot of flavor.

Food was late, cold, all wrong. The waiter had no service experince and kept blaming the manager, didn't eveen apologise. The manager is just too friendly not so professional. Worst dining experience by far.

The place is great staff is friendly service is wonderful good music 10 out of 10 for the food

Staff were amazing. Angela in particular was extremely helpful as we required 2 baby chairs etc. Standard breakfast was a bit pricey but those eggs were damn tasty. Definitely be going back.
