Friendly staff ( Gift our waiter). Extremely busy but we were advised that it will take a while before we'll get our order. Love the vibe and view.

Brilliant place super food and fantastic view. wow service from the management to waiter and not to forget a big thumps up to the chef who made this yummiest burger

Let's get on thing out the way, the view is artistic. You just want to write a poem or paint. I find this to be especially true during the spectacular sunsets. The food was spectacular I decided to try the lobster and I was not disappointed. Amazing mix of flavours, well prepared. The venue has plenty staff and the senior staff did make a stop by me a few times, my waiter on the other hand was just too infrequent with visits, with me having to wait a while to order more drinks and get my bill. It is not bad just not at same level as the food or view.

Wonderful prawns with an incredible view. Well furnished and spacious. Service is only reasonable. You don't know which is your waiter. 1 takes the order someone else serves .

It's always nice to have a restaurant close to home where one can sit down for a meal and there's always a table available. CTFM is our regular go to place which consistently serves the perfect poke bowl! Lovely spot to enjoy a sunset!

Went for a special, the waitress suggested an alternative special, the fish and calamari for a nominal amount more, and it was the right decision. Perfect tender calamari and juicy fresh fish.

This is one of the better CTFM's. The view is great, there is a fireplace going in the center. The service is good. And the food was excellent. Good value for money. Great fish chips and oysters and it did not break the bank.

A quick dinner at Blouberg branch. Sushi for starters and prawns and line fish for mains. House wine pleasant and well priced. Service attentive and efficient and dinner can be a very quick affair. Prices mid to slightly above average. Always a great experience. They have a promo on Mon, Tue and Wed . We weren't aware but pleasantly surprised how busy the restaurant was. Acoustic are very bad, so very noisy space. Sushi was fresh, made as you watched, good price with the 25% discount on a Tuesday.

My order: Chicken Burger Special Tasty, soggy toward the end and a very small portion of fries. I suppose for the price it's worth a shot. Service: My waitress was good and on point and always made a presence in case I needed anything. I tried to change my order literally a minute after placing but she wouldn't let me. Which was fine anyway. Atmosphere: I had a seat right next to the fire place. It was nice and toasty. I'd think one would probably make a booking to ensure a good spot as the rest of the restaurant especially closer to entrance feels like the north pole. I hate getting cold :) brrrr

Nick made our experience here an unforgettable one. He provided us with excellent service and his food recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed the food immensely. Tip: try the prawn pops and ask for the sauce on the side.

Food was great. Trout salad and cob with veg was excellent. Irish coffee was not bad either. Initial hick up with the table we had booked however was sorted rather quickly. We will be back.

Nice vibe. Friendly waiters. Sushi was great and well priced. My paella was very disappointing unfortunately. But in all the experience was quite pleasant.

We had a lovely time today as we ordered the St Helena platter and the amazing Signature platter with Moscow Mule platters! Heavenly!

Thanks for the great service, views and mouth watering food.

The menu is totally intriguing and original!

We went for and Saterday afternoon lunch. It was very empty and quiet. We waited quite a while for someone to serve us, but once served it was great and very friendly. We both ordered the hake stack, and it was really different and very tasty. So many flavors.

Had a great view and had very good food! Had the Hake and calamari and Seafood Paela! Our waiter was very friendly and we will surely be back for more!

So we decided to go CTFM for a late lunch on Tuesday afternoon, the restaurant was quiet and we were seated quickly.
We ordered and got our drinks quite quickly but waited over 40 minutes for our food which is quite long considering how empty the restaurant was.
I ordered a Kingklip with rice and he ordered a West Coast poitjie which comes with rice.
I personally felt the portion options should be a bit bigger for the price but food was tasty none the less.
The carrots in his potjie were slightly hard and could have probably been prepped before hand.
Service was decent.
View is beautiful and very cozy environment.

If there was an option to give 0 I would have. I ordered the salmon, at R238 for a small piece of fish and a few chips. Lets start with the chips. Raw, half frozen tasteless chips. The fish tasted like cardboard and was definitely not fresh. My girlfriend had what they called calamari. Chewing on a car tyre would have been a better experience than the calamari. These fools have no idea how to make food. In my life I have never had worse seafood. Stay far away.

Decided to treat ourselves after a very difficult week! My mom had the West Coast Potjie & I had the Seafood Paella, both delicious!! Plus the spectacular view of Table Mountain added to the experience! Friendly staff & lovely atmosphere!!!

No-one greeted us at the door and we had to wait for a waiter to finally greet us and seat us which took a while. Had mussels for starters and the sauce seemed to come out of a packet. Mussels were cold and were not cleaned properly. Had the 8 prawns for R189 which is really pricy and were totally tasteless. We spent R1000 for my husband, my daughter and myself and came home hungry. Very over priced and under whelming. Prefer the ocean basket for value and taste.

Service was good & efficient, My girlfriend and I had a classic fish & Chips as do you in Cape Town, the fish seemed a little under done on Both dishes, one of the lemons looked used, nevertheless a decent night out.

Really disappointing experience today. Understand when restaurants are busy that service is slow, but today the restaurant was quiet and service terrible. Fish and chips and a sushi platter ordered. Fish eventually arrived cold as it had waited so long for the sushi to be made up. Only one check for drinks , table not cleared properly, and anything ordered just took so long. Usually like this restaurant so hope it’s just a once off

Went here for lunch last week. Place was quite empty, so I couldn't understand the slow service. I enjoyed my fish, but the mussels was average. My friend had the tempura shrimp, which looks beautiful on the menu, but oh! Quite ghastly in real life. She ended up returning a plate of disgusting dough, and thankfully they never charged her for it, but the sight of her food, made mine go down with difficulty. Eeeew! Best thing about this place is probably the view...

Wonderful view.Unfortunately the food and service don't match that.
Had a tuna and avo salad as starter which was really good.Platter consisting of calamari, grilled hake and fish cake for mains. The fish cake was nothing more than a one bite little blop that had no taste.Fish was also nothing more than a tasteless filler.Service was bad, bad, bad.Certainly won't be back.

Went out for Sushi on Monday night. Some of the avo components were alreay brown, but were still on the conveyor. The wasabi was less of a paste and more of a thick sauce - tasted diluted. Atmosphere and view were both good and service was so-so.

Service was friendly and efficient.. that's it... no ice buckets /Pap Sacks.. "they leaking"... ordered Spier Sav Blanc(terrible selection of wines) .. and were told we can only order by the glass, as they had a special which ended on Sunday, so the MOD, said they could only sell the stock on hand , by the glass! . ... that's called "up selling".. shocking.
Tempura Prawns.. not even close.. if u can't make it, don't sell it.. Sushi, is a total rip off... went to a restaurant down the road today, it "blow".. my mind with the difference in quality and price.. and even a better view.. and that's from a hotel.. O!... then again.. its not a franchise... now I remember why I never supported franchise stores.. they suck!!! Just lock the doors... ps.... as a franchise store, the MOD, is meant to visit each table 😂 😂 😂 😂.. Not!!!! Where??!! @
The food was good nothing out of this world but better then most places that I have had dinner in Table view. The service is nothing wow !! Management is their but just because they have to and waiters don't really care, and no wow at that table. No one up sells!! anything and thy can def do better if they did. But it's a nice place of you just want to go for a quick dinner with friend and Family, but not a dinning experience if you where looking for one. There was a good atmosphere amongst guest and everyone looked like thy where enjoying them self. The restaurant was nice and cleaned but no one that was welcoming you at the door you had to help your self.

Presentation of food was good however I don't pay premium prices to be fed fish that was frozen for the last two centuries. Felt horribly ill after finishing this meal with my partner. Service was also subpar and the empty restaurant goes to show how this brand has sunk.
Miguel Dos Santos
Can't really comment on all the food but sushi here was really good. Everything was really fresh and well plated. The flavors were really good. Overall a great night out

Erh... not my favourite place. Went there on valentine's day for a quick snack... the smell at the sushi bar was awfull and there wasn't enough space between the table next to us and us to actually sit in a comfortable position and every so often the chairs from the other table will bump in to mine. Also no warning at all regarding smoked salmon after I specifically asked as I am allergic... was just really disappointed to be honest.

Excellent! From the management to the food, Devine! I totally recommend it. One thing I enjoy about this group is that they consistently keep their standards and that each store has their own flavour which makes it unique! This store just needs the staff to be a bit more attentive to other clientele then they will get a 5/5!

Visited last night for the first time, definitely the best CTFM outlet I've been to. The food was amazing and the great view. Definitely coming back. 👍👍

I went here for their birthday special and I really enjoyed the food. Everything on my platter was fresh and the portion size was really big, it looks small, but I couldn't even finish everything. I went here for my grandpa's birthday and we sat on the balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean. The inside decor is also really beautiful with the fairylights. Loved this place, will definitely recommend it 🐟 their desserts are also really good and should definitely be tried by everyone.

Really friendly, efficient service and nice, different food. I recommend the Malay Fish Curry. Also has amazing views of table mountain and the sea.
The Foodie Corner
By far the worst Cape Town Fish Market I've ever been to! I've only been here once - for a spur-of-the-moment dinner, but I swore to myself that I would never return.

Where do I start? Firstly, this place has no atmosphere at all - no gentle background music, the sound echoes and the large open space makes the whole restaurant seem very cold. This is a great pity, because it has a beautiful view and so much potential to be a fantastic place!

I thought the food might save the night, but unfortunately I was wrong. After waiting for what seemed like forever for our food (and asking the waiter what was taking so long), our order of kingklip and calamari finally arrive. The kingklip was totally overcooked and tasted like a piece of rubber. I think I had about 3 bites and sent the rest back. The calamari wasn't much better.

As mentioned, service was awfully slow. And it wasn't that busy, so I don't know what the problem was. The manager did drop by at our table to ask how our night was going. This was before we received our food, so I voiced my concern that the kitchen may have forgotten about us, since we'd been waiting so long. Our food appeared in shortly after that with no further explanation or apologies.

I'm sad to say that I'd rather make the journey to Century City or the Waterfront if I wanted to eat at a decent Cape Town Fish Market. This one was a real disappointment!

I was disappointed. You won't like it either. I'm not sure how this culture of OTT pricey & underwhelming everything, has managed to breed. It's a damn shame that outlets like these still get away with it. You get pulled in because well, it's CFM.. and naturally, you expect a certain standard of service and food quality. The oysters were like big pieces of fat that were removed during a liposuction procedure on Dr.90210 and the lobsters looked as if they lived incredibly sad lives. Well, we still have the vineyards I suppose.

I walked out of CTFM Big Bay yesterday. After waiting 5 minutes to be seated and then not seeing a waiter for 15 minutes irritated the hell out of me. Service is and always have been terrible, food is overpriced and well so fresh, fresh from the freezer.
Adrian Kaplan
Pretty average although strangely enough i usually find their steaks to be the best thing on the menu. Sushi overpriced and can't really comment on the seafood because it has been a while since I've had any at CTFM. service is okay-ish...nothing truly wonderful about the place except the view!
Steven Storey
The service is slow and the portion sizes for the price are far too small.
I would expect ordering the hake and calamari combo for R110 to at least get the full hake.

The location and view are fantastic though.

One of thee best evenings I have had at a Ctfm store. Service was good and efficient. The food was great and I love the way the brand have changed from the way the menus have been designed to the new crockery being used to serve the meals. Will definitely back.
Beverley Du Plessis
The sushi was absolutely lovely. Fresh fish and rice! The service was great! We had a platter for lunch. The fish caked were not my favourite.
Nicky
I'm a bit disappointed to see some unhappy reviews here as I have been to this restaurant a few times and have always had great service and awesome food. Their sushi, seafood and steaks are all very tasty and fresh as well as reasonably priced. And as for the view..... well that's priceless!
Darren Franks
Very hit and miss - unfortunately more misses than hits. We've had to send food back on numerous occasions due to being under or over cooked. Kids meals are very greasy. It's such a shame as the views are spectacular (especially at sun set)
Alwiena Van Veen
Shocking sushi. This CTFM is an embarrassment for the brand. Zero atmosphere but the killer is the sushi. Did I mention it's shocking?
Garry Howard-Browne
Unfortunately I heard a bad experience at this CTFM. Service was bad and the sushi was shocking. Definitely won't be visiting here again. The rest of the meal was very average. Definitely one of those restaurants to avoid.
Bev Moss-Reilly
In terms of Fish / Seafood Restaurant choices, CTFM pitches itself above many others such as Ocean Basket and certainly Fishaways and Texies but it is possibly difficult to see how and why they think they have the edge as to me they aren't the best catch in Town.
Their prices are pitched higher and their service fails dismally.
Some of my friends have discarded their loyalty cards as they refuse to go back.
Their sushi is good if one is a sushi lover but they have no real bait to reel us back in.
They have the same family type feel to their restaurant which I must say is always clean and appealing but they don't have any cutting edge. They would never stand out as a SOLE provider.
Jess Styles
I was enticed by the sushi special... I should have known better but the images on the advert looked so good. I was really disappointed. The sushi was average. The service not great and very slow.

Sadly I don't see any reason to go back, there are a lot of better restaurants to have sushi at in the area!
Anita Shapiro
My youngest daughter used to only like sushi when it moves around on a conveyor belt so that she could see it and make her pick. So we inevitably sometimes ended up at CTFM. A few years ago I didn’t mind, but I have seen a gradual decline in their quality and a gradual degradation of everything they offer, e.g cream cheese and sweet chilli sauce over almost everything, fake caviar and fake tempura. All this is compounded by bad service, strange sushi chefs with little inkling of hygiene and management who don’t have a clue. On my last visit I was about to complain about the flies, and the complete confusion between the waiter and the chef regarding my order, when I saw how ineptly and publically the manager was dealing with another customer’s complaint. So I just left it. And actually my daughter is old enough now to enjoy sushi without the gimmick of a moving belt.
Tracy Poulter
Use to be a big fan of CTFM but recently been very disappointed in the quality of their food and what you pay for.
I find that I can most certainly get more buck for my bang elsewhere.

I do however enjoy their Tuesday Half Price Sushi Special so I wont say they'll never see me however I refuse to pay the prices on their Standard menu and choose to only visit for Specials :-)
