As the only restaurant open in Bethulie for dinner, we had no choice but to go there over our one night stay.
This is a character filled restaurant, with quirky décor and a very acceptable menu. I had the Nachos and my husband had pizza, both were delicious. The Nachos are not authentic, but great never the less - its a Free State version.
The staff were very friendly and the prices reasonable. In spite of not having a choice of where we could dine, we really enjoyed our meal!
Visited the establishment quite a few times in the past....nice place still, good service and nice decor!
Awesome place to get a drink or a meal when travelling through the country. Really good food and atmosphere. Also, a really strong connection to one of South Africa's top singers / entertainers... Ask when you are there, and the puzzle pieces will fall into place quite quickly.
Year in and year out they just deliver excellent breakfast service. We visit them once a year and they never disappoint! Excellent atmosphere and affordable menu.

People are not wrong when they say the pizza is amazing. It is incredible. If you are on the Cape - Durban route, a stop over on in Bethulie is on order. Hell, if I was traveling CPT-JHB I would make the detour just for this pizza.
Very nice pizza and great atmosphere. Staff was friendly and the location allows for an opportunity to see the locals in their normal goings on.
Given that it's in a town that's almost dead, Die Ou Kar does a great job. I had a surprisingly good rump steak. Quaint, rustic, friendly place.

In the middle of this quaint old town, you'll find a very friendly restaurant/pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The food is prepared from fresh, so it was delicious - just don't be in a hurry when you stop here.
Fantastic restaurant and pub with wonderful small town charm. We had an unforgettable experience with lovely people and delicious pizza. A must do when visiting Bethulie!

We quite enjoyed our stop at Die Our Kar. It's an affordable pub with good food and it's biker friendly. Kitchen service is a little slow for my liking.
