Their portions are generous and the quality of the food is generally good. They've got a delicious lemon meringue. They also have free WiFi- just ask the waiter for the code.

Amazing coffee and cake! I really enjoyed our visit. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Great job!

Marcelino, you have proven that loadshedding does not have to limit service delivery. To the Manager, Oppiekoffie, Tygervalley Centre, we wish to credit you and your staff. Service during loadshedding, a ++ for your restaurant and staff. We received excellent service during a very busy hustle and bustle (load shedding included). Waiting time was minimal, brunch hot and scrumptious, waitron Marcelino showed expertise, skilled in working under pressure, serving a couple of customers, simultaneously cleaning tables of customers he served. His efficiency and customer skills are quite outstanding. We will definitely visit again.

My friends and I met here this morning for breakfast. We encountered Marc, who served us. Not only was he refreshing and very helpful, but he was professional and very knowledgeable. The good was excellent and the atmosphere relaxing. Thank you to Marc for making such a great impression.

Wow what a place to have Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or coffee and cake. Super impressed with the amazing service. Our Waitress Elizabeth when over and above to get all our drinks and food out the fastest I've seen in a while. Love this place and staff are amazing and the food is exceptional especially the cake and my chicken burger..... will definitely be there again soon

The bagel with salmon and scrambled egg was absolutely superb and I really appreciated the fact they brought the items separately so as to ensure the bagel was not softened by the eggs. The wait staff extremely helpful, there when you need them but not in your face - don't you just hate it when you are interrupted mid-sentence to ask if you need anything? Timing is so important. Here, this is not the case, they are well trained and always scanning to see if you need help but leave you alone when you don't.

We are very familiar with the Glen Gary branch. We decided to take friends of ours to Tyger Valley for lunch as we bragged about Oppiekoffie's food (taste and portion size). We were greeted by a very friendly waitress ELIZABETH. She went out of her way to make our and our friends experience a pleasant one!

Stopped by for a quick bite while shopping. Waiters remeber us and we are always treated with respect. Food is great and good value for money. They serve a great Sunday lunch. (sorry I didn't take pics to post)

I had a bacon egg and cheese and it was a good filling sandwich. Coffee could have been stronger but the tea was excellent.

Received such beautiful customer service from the waiters. Portions are big. I recommend trying their wraps, it was delicious😊

Terrible service, just know that if on your way there you bought any type of food or pastries or cake to take home back with.. Very popular outlet with a good selection of daytime meals. Coffees of an acceptable standard. Meal portions are on the bigger side and of average quality. Service impressed. Layout a little bit crammed which makes it noisy during peak hours.

My favourite place to sit and eat in Tygervallei. They know me and my 2 year old by now. Food is great most of the time. Wish they didn't take my favourite salad off the menu! Butternut, feta and beetroot salad! Loooooved it!

The service is extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Our waiter didn't quite understand pretty much anything we asked her and seemed very grumpy and irritated with us. The prices are too high for not much. They're nothing special but the prices indicate differently. We ordered the breakfast special and there wasn't anything small on the menu except for their overpriced muffins and scones.<br/><br/>We went back to Oppiekoffie today and the service was terrible! Omg the girl was so rude an bitchy with us. We felt so uncomfortable. She didn't introduce herself either. I can't believe that someone can be so rude in a professional environment. <br/><br/>I gave them another chance but I'm NOT going back! 😓

Fantastic service, delicious chicken pie and the best milk tart I had in ages. And all that while being really busy. Definitely the best place to eat when going to the mall.

Coffee shop tucked away in tygervalley. Their tramazinni's are always good i think some of their cakes are overpriced for what you get, but still tasty.

Been here a few times but not for a while though. Such a nice place and nicely decorated with ample space.<br/><br/>The food wasn't the best and neither was the service we got. Not sure if I will have food there again but definitely will go for cake.

Some of the yummiest homemade tasting scones, served with local strawberry jam and cream, and a pot of rooibos tea. I decided to try this restaurant out, as it reminded me of Oppiekoffie in 7de laan haha. Try it out if you are ever in the Northern Suburbs. Cute, quirky, local place. Service is friendly but slightly slow, so if you have time to kill, this is your place.

My friend recommended I try their cake and I must say; I wasn't disappointed. I had the Bar One cheese cake and a hot chocolate. AMAZING!!! Loved it👌

Really nice place to go on a weekend for an early breakfast . A big fan of their white hot chocolate and their scones are to die for , freshly baked . Also usually packed but all in all a great place for brekky

A little cafe tugged away in the heart of Tygervalley Shopping Centre. A lovely place that makes you feel relaxed the moment you sit down. <br/><br/>Nothing like a blissful cup of coffee to kickstart your day that is planned with lots of shopping! <br/><br/>The menu is extensive and covers anything from breakfasts to gourmet burgers. For an early morning treat I opted for a hearty Oppiekoffie breakfast with two eggs, grilled tomato, bacon and mushrooms. <br/><br/>Service is quick with attentive, friendly staff. The food arrived fresh, hot and tasty. Nothing too fancy but simply delicious and wholesome. <br/>

Just had some coffee here, was a nice atmosphere and nice coffee.<br/>Someone had ordered a burger and I must admit looked very good :)<br/>Next time will pop in for a quick lunch to try it out.

Amazing little coffee shop for a great cup of tea and an amazing slice of cake. When I say slice, I mean giant plate filling piece of cake. The selection is great and they all look amazing.y favourite is anything with peppermint. The staff are willing and helpful. Very nice experience.

A good spot to rest your tired bones and refuel on something delicious. The service is good and the raised platform at the back is a people watcher's paradise.

This place is always full! So if you in the mood for a nice breakfast or lunch on a Saturday or Sunday, be early! Or book! Very popular, we have been here for breakfast and lunch, and for just a nice piece of cake, breakfast was good we had the French toast, Lunch not so good, we had the open omlet with mince, lacked some spices! And the the cake, we'll, cake is always good!! They have a yummy treat table, so you can't go out without having cake...

Today we went to Oppiekoffie.There white hot chocolate was a little bit to much suger.But the pancakes was very good.My dad enjoyed the scone.It was very nice.I hope you like it to.

My friend and I decided to have breakfast at this restaurant because it has an slightly formal atmosphere with traditional appeal. (Not a diner)<br/><br/> <br/><br/>I ordered eggs benedict with spinach and hollandaise sauce for breakfast, expecting at least that this refined dish be prepared tastefully and presented in an appeal manner<br/><br/>I received a slice of non-toasted white bread, saturated in a heap of tasteless creamed spinach, topped with poach eggs and the most disgusting excuse for hollandaise sauce ever. The sauce, which should be the star component of this dish comprised a thin, pale liquid that appeared to be salad dressing, diluted with milk. The rest of the plate was filled with unevenly butchered tomato slices and oily french fries dumped on the plate to ensure that it was covered to the rim<br/><br/>The chef obviously has no idea how to prepare hollandaise sauce and also has no understanding of food presentation<br/><br/>At R71.00 it was a both a disappointment and a total rip-off

A calm, feminine kind of atmosphere. Mouth watering selection of baked goods on display.<br/>They serve their warm beverages beautifully with a cookie and a kitkat single!

The food is always good, the cakes etc are fresh and they have a wide variety available. <br/>Great place to grab a nice breakfast or lunch. The salads are amazing and the portions are decent.<br/>One of he few places that still serve proper hand cut fresh fries with their meals. The kids find it quite a treat.

Good service, nice size cappuccino but not the best coffee. If it was ten years ago, this would be a good coffee shop. Decent enough for a mall though.

The service we received from Joyce was amazing. However the chicken mayo was way to full of mustard. The Cake selection looked amazing....alas I am banting but oh the temptation. Maybe another day....

Excellent service, child friendly, and delicious food and coffee! The waitress brought us kid's toys on arrival, and, if you're a parent, you'll understand how important it is to occupy your kids at a restaurant table.

This little cafe lies in the heart of the Tygervalley Shopping Mall , I recently got to visit the cafe after having my hair done. I met a friend who had heard of the place and recommended we try it out for a change.<br/><br/>Oppiekoffie is super busy and if you are later than 9am you will more than likely need to wait for a few minutes , we were lucky and only had to wait two minutes.<br/><br/>The Maitre-D and staff are efficient , friendly and very attentive despite having to multi-task. <br/><br/>The menu is extensive which makes it hard to choose and looking around the room I wanted everything that I saw, however I do not eat wheat and so had to toss up between a salad or a heart 'Frittata' in this case open omlette. The omlette won and I had the most delectable savoury mince , mushroom , tomato and cheese omlette ... it was huge and delicious (and yes, I ate it all ...shhhhhhhh).<br/><br/>The service was quick and the food was fresh and hot , I will be back that is for certain. Once again this is not a budget friendly cafe with a minimum spend of about R60- R120 pp.<br/><br/>There are no aires and graces here , just good wholesome food as mom would make it ...yum!
