I am a regular at Wason and I prefer their sushi over any other sushi restaurant in the Northern Suburbs. However, the quality of their sushi deteriorated (in my opinion). HOWEVER, I gave them the benefit of doubt and went there again on Valentines Day for the buffet. My mind was blown, their standard was up to par again and I received an excellent service as well. I would give them 5 stars but have deducted one star as I was moved to rather uncomfortable chairs because the more comfortable one's had been reserved. If we are all paying the same price we should be able to benefit in the same manner, irrespective of whether you reserved a seat or not.
I had a sushi platter which was amazing, their food is very fresh and well priced! I always get a bowl of noodles as a main , love it too much!
Wason provides some of the best tasting sushi with the Wason roll topping the lot in taste. Service is always relatively quick depending on the amount of people in the restaurant. Decor can be upgraded though.
Love their sushi but their sweet n sour chicken was burnt the last time we ordered from them so I’ll be sticking to only ordering sushi from Wason.
Good quality food at a reasonable price. Always fresh and piping hot. Fast and efficient service as a healthier alternative for a take out option.
Go-to sushi takeout place. Overall good value for money. Generous portions. And the buffet is also worth it - some of the ‘kitchen food’ is a bit greasy, but normal for Asian take out standards in my opinion.
Love Wason's sushi. I keep returning to them. Their staff are usually friendly. Sushi is always fresh and you don't wait for too long.
Don't expect much in terms of decor. But their Ipad ordering system the waiters use also increases the speed at which your food is ordered and processed.
Honestly one of the best sushi joints in town. They could do with more than one waiter at a time thou. Still my favorite place for a sushi fix
Food was great and very affordable, probably the cheapest yet also one of the best sushi places I've been to. Vibe is good, was quite busy. Could do with a better waitress and decor but otherwise food compensated for all minor issues
Decent portion, fresh sushi and fantastic service... Well done to the staff and the chef... Wason is one of my top sushi go to place. Keep up the good work.

They have excellent variety of sushi and hot food for the buffet menu. Service is good too. For the money its well worth it. The sushi is fresh and they are very clean only great experiences from them.
We have been going for a few years now; sushi is really good and buffet option is well worth it. Seems to be a simple Chinese restaurant but very good
A colleague once told me that the food here is very good. I popped in for some take aways, on first glance it seemed like a nice place to have a sit down meal as well. I ordered the beef chow mein and beef fried rice. Both meals were quite good, fresh and tasty. They are very reasonably priced at 50 rand each and portion size is good.
I will definitely return for a sit down meal.

Best thing is that the food is as good as it was the first day I went there. quality doesn't go down and I respect that!!
Can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised, the venue and decor is deceiving but don't let it put you off. Went for a buffet evening and gosh, I certainly tried as much of the menu as my belly could fit. Generous with the portions and not shy with the fish which is unusual for sushi buffet. Wason Rolls are worth a try, as are the salmon roses and their cucumber rolls and I really enjoyed the Indonesian noodles. Will be back to try more of the menu.
I had a takeout from Wason because all my friends are raving about 'WAZZON'. I wasn't expecting much because sushi takeout isn't usually the most appealing option... but BOY was I suprised! Wason has knocked my socks off with the FRESHEST sushi I have tasted in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Tasty sushi, presented beautifully with fresh salmon... fresh prawns... the way nature intended :) PLUS:Quick preparation! Awesome job guys!!!

First time visitor. Good experience with service. Food is also decent but can be improved in the presentation of the food. The buffet price is worth it. Overall this is a good sushi spot.
"Hidden" gem for any Asian food fanatic. Sushi (and pretty much everything else) is really well priced! Service is fairly average, but the quality of their sushi and Chinese dishes (mains and starters!), MORE than make up for ANY other shortcoming.
Best sushi at the best prices! Work in Bellville so often buy sushi for lunch and get the buy one get one free👍 the Wason roll and wasabi parcel are the best. The seafood chow mein is also very good, sometimes a bit oily tho but usually very good
There are severe limits on sushi that's decent in the northern suburbs but this is a hidden gem. The crispy duck with pancakes is incredible and the wason rolls are a must try. Great for a low key delicious meal.
Dimly light, hidden between various other bigger branded fast food chains, hides a vintage and somewhat kitch (although I don't think that was the intention) gem of a sushi bar. Don't judge the place by the bad quality pictures on the wall and menu, nor let the plasticy table cloths covering the booths fool you either. The Sushi is fabulous and worth your time. They have loads of traditional options with a few of their own twists that make delicious combinations. Value for money is key but the sushi can sell itself.
Go expecting excellent sushi with average service in an oddly decorated, dimly lit local corner sushi bar.
