I had overseas visitors on the 28th May and booked dinner at Adega Bedfordview. It was an amazing experience from service to the food quality. I have to commend all that contributed to their satisfaction and the good impression left in them. A special mention for the great coffee. Well done and keep the high levels.

Wow I am a sushi lover and this is hands down the best sushi I have ever had. I really enjoy there new special on the sushi. Not pricey at all. Will be back !!
Friendly Atmosphere. Good service. Good food The chicken is exceptionally tasty, the chicken is juicy not dry at all. You could tastee the mushrooms in the mushroom sauce , at any other place its just cream. The portion size is more than generous. The service is friendly and efficient.

Had a lovely meal here last night. Service was great as our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious too! I had the prawns nacional and it has definitely become my new favorite dish👍🏻 the prawns were cooked just right and the sauce was delictable

I have to give this restaurant 4 stars, the ambience, service and food was excellent. Their platter selections are really great ways to get the entire family envolved. An amazing kids friendly spot.
A con for me was the parking, their parking is located opposite the restaurant and i am not an easy going road crosser.
This is a hidden gem. Nice atmosphere with large kiddies play area outdoors and plenty parking.
Sunday they have a buffet which has a great selection of meats, pastas and shellfish.
Very well priced.
I ordered the chicken which was succulent and very tasty, the prawn pasta was superb as was the kingkljp.

Best prawns in Johannesburg. Recommend the lobster, 1kg king prawns, the Portuguese rump steak with round chips and the grilled sardines. Extensive wine list with both local and international wines. Maria Saudade vinho Verde excellent with prawns. Friendly and attentive staff. Good secure parking.

Had a wonderful lunch at Adega Bedfordview yesterday. Service was excellent, food was fast and very tasty. Ordered the 10 queen prawn special for R99 and it was superb. Nice atmosphere and place to be in! Will be back for sure.

Marlon best waiter, even set up hubbly for us. Fantastic value for money 10 queen prawns for R99 where else can you get value like that! Dessert was a amazing tiramisu that was one of the desserts of the day, the other option was iced nougat and berry terrine.
This is the best Restaurant in the whole of Bedfordview. Staff are polite and the food is out of this world. I rate this the best dining experience i have ever had.
If you're lucky enough to enjoy Adega's buffets then you will be in for a wonderful treat! The buffet includes prawns that are well sized, very flavorful and are a crowd pleaser. The salads are different and fresh and if you opt for something from the menu try the prawn pasta. There's a generous amount of prawns in a flavorful creamy sauce and will definitely satisfy those hunger pangs! The service is good and the ambience is great. An excellent place that has something for everyone.
Delightful evening with my cousins at Adega Bedfordview. We were lucky to get a booking as the restaurant was full but the manager squeezed us in. The food was awesome. Great flavour. Worth the price. Our waitress was very attentive and efficient although the restaurant was busy. Great service.

Situated a bit awkwardly with the parking lot across the street and isn't that visible, I wouldn't blame you if you got lost.
The bad news ends there though; you are greeted by professional and friendly staff who know the menu (including specials) off hand. The food is of such a high quality, portion size and taste it's unreal. Fantastic in every way (considering the specials) expect for the wait (the food could arrive a little quicker).

A pleasant lunch experience at Adega Bedfordview,i did not expect any specials but alot of food specials were offered. Despite being a table of approximately 15, the service was pretty decent, I tried the half chicken including a beer for R85 which was well worth the price. A filling meal of great taste and value. I will consider visiting again.
Great place to eat; really such a pity the chairs you have to spend 3 hours on are cheap 1950's knock offs that does more damage and cause more back pain than anything else!!

This was our 2nd visit to Adega Bedfordview for their Sunday lunch buffet. The variety of the buffet is fantastic and the quality of food is very good. The starter dishes on the buffet were particularly delicious and the prawns are very tasty as well.

The prawns were a tad small but the sauce was amaze balls, chicken was very fresh & tasty as well

All in all, good food, abit far from home but will definitely visit when again in area
My boyfriend and I had the best Prawns at Adega Bedfordview, can't fault Adega's food at all. We always have a great experience when ever we go.
What a wonderful evening with my baby Christine Sing. Our waiter Petrus was so attentive and the Valentines atmosphere was amazing with balloons and a live band. Such a wonderful experience!
Had a nice birthday dinner at Adega Bedfordview with my partner. I had the Prawns which were divine, some of the best Prawns I have tasted in a long time, and they tasted especially nice when dipped into my favourite Lemon Butter sauce. My Boyfriend had the Calamari and he said it was perfect, it wasn't over cooked and had a great taste. We both had the sally williams Nougat dessert and it was amazing!! It is definitely a must try. The service throughout the time we were there was great, they really made an effort to make everything perfect for my birthday, our waiter was friendly, very accommodating and quick with our drinks and food. We will definitely be back in the future!!
Nice Saturday buffet with Portuguese food... Starters were nice and mains excellent... Noisy and crowded but service was attentive and efficient... If you don't mind queuing for the food (very hectic) it is definitely a best buy...
Always pleasant here... whether for formal dining inside or "casual" snack outside on the dect, my favourite on the side under the thick grape vines with mist fans on a hot summer say. Portuguese commit community guys playing their cards and having espressos... you can believe you are in Algarve.
So this is a beautiful venue.
And the food matches. Extensive menu, very originally done in magazine format. The traditional food is good. Nothing more said. No need to. But as a sushi fan, often go there for that as a afternoon snack. And it is fresh, tasty and well portioned. With a kiddies section (nicely places on the one side) this is an all round versatile establishment.
This Portuguese restaurant franchise is very good with a lot of really good dishes and with the added touch of the sushi menu just makes it even more worthwhile.
Their buffets on the weekends are really good with a wide variety of food to choose from and all so very tasty.
This Portuguese franchise restaurant, serves you the traditional Portuguese food and the non traditional food. Extensive menu and even Sushi features. The food overall is good and the service too. When they have their Sunday buffet the area can get a bit cramp.
We've visited Adega a few times for their buffet Sundays. Unlimited food covering all three courses. The delicious and their service is food. It's especially good to sit out on the deck when the weather is pleasant.
Food was excellent had the prawns special 13 super king and a stuff calamari as starter. Overall very good and tasty food. Prawns was do to perfection.
We landed up going to Adega as Rocomammas Bedfordview had a 30min waiting time for a table. I've heard good things from friends about this restaurant and for the most part I found them to be true. Service was great, food was excellent, and the vibe was light and festive. I would recommend the Prawn Nacional as a main.
This a place to meet with friends during lunches on the weekend and with family during the evening! Great place to see long last friends!

Adega is a great treat on a Friday evening especially after a long week
and when you are hungry! I normally do the seafood buffet. They have a fairly large
wine selection and the wine lover is spoilt for choice. There’s always a crowd
and a better option than the Spur for the folks out there with children.

This Adega is a typical Adega franchise without that personal touch... It reminds me of one of those conveyor belt scenario where you should eat and ship out for the next client.
Please had her birthday party and I must admit that they handled the party quiet well, but I literally had to call the restaurant so that they can send me a waiter - yes it was that sad. The food was good. I like the fact that they have traditional Portuguese food specials but the sad thing is how on earth can you have sushi in a Portuguese restaurant... what is Portuguese about Sushi.. If you want introduce sushi into the menu and it's a Portuguese Restaurant than Portugueseify it..like use traditional cod fish as sashimi. But on a good side their prawns are amazing. Their steaks are OK. Service cap and the worst is when you go the receptionist gives you that false goodbye smile.... anyhow if you want to do a function with good food.. This is a place.. just make sure you get the waiter or waitress is there for you and doesn't dissappear.
We dropped by one Friday evening with friends, and were very pleasantly surprised. Great ambience, excellent decoration and an outstanding menu. This restaurant has become much more of an upmarket establishment. Broad wine and whiskey menu. Within an hour the restaurant appeared fully booked inside. We opted for the evening buffet, which in my opinion, was probably the best buffet I have come across. Available were 4 different prawn dishes, crab curry, sushi, calamari, clams, ribs, seafood Paella, salads, and desserts. The service was perfect and we had a ball - will be back soon!

Great service with easy-to-reach waiters, and excellent cooking by the chef, as even though the prawns weren't 100%, the marinating was spot-on.

We went to Adega for a family dinner and we were definitely not disappointed! Adega was divine! I had the prawn special (1kg prawns for R139.00). An absolute bargain & every prawn was super tasty. My boyfriend has the 500g steak & prawn special (R99.00). The specials are excellent & unlike other places, there was quality & quantity with the food we ordered. Adega Bedfordview is fabulous, and we will definitely be back! Thanks to the team there for the excellent experience!

This place offers excellent food at premium prices. My friend and I went their for lunch.
Positives:
1. The chicken was delicious and well-seasoned.
2. The prawns pasta was so indulgent and creamy. Prawns were slightly sweet and good quality.
3. The starter chicken giblets was really tasty and the portion was fair.
Negatives:
Not really much to complain about. I'll definitely go back and try other options.

The restaurant is topnotch, located at the best location and it's very classy, its probably 10 times better than the one in Sandton. Truly classy and nice atmosphere.
Food was great, but I found the chicken a bit dry, that was a huge disappointment for me because I love their chicken, prawns were the best, no reservations there. Rice was the best but very small compared to Sandton. And my boy loved your ribs, no reservations there.
I was a bit disappointed with the service, the waiter was a bit slow but she was very nice, she even gave us a card with contact details so that we can book next time because it get really full. We appreciated that.
And the company only hires foreigners, this can be a big draw back for me.
Atmosphere was really awesome, it was not full and we chose a nice table. My take overall? It's a great restaurant and I think you should visit it. It's kids friendly, tables are not cramped next to each other, you are able to move around. If you love prawns and rice, you should definitely visit, they have a Monday special of 20 prawn for about R250.

Had a wonderful time here... The place has a sense of class about it, from the decor to the service. The staff was so welcoming(even the ones that weren't serving us). It's super clean and so beautiful. The food we had was deliciously prepared and we didn't even have to wait long for it. I enjoyed my experience, I recommend it for dates or just take your family there... It would be great for intimate gatherings...
Excellent food! We had calamari for starters and it was cooked perfectly. For mains we had prawns. It was nice to have both rice & chips with mains. The mains were excellent, full of flavour and a massive portion. It was so good we ate it all!
Our waitress was so friendly, helpful and always made sure our drinks were full.

The private room we sat in was really nice and beautifully decorated with aircon which was a must on a 33° day
Overall we were satisfied and treated like gold by Frank!
We started off with drinks,the one thing I didn't agree with was a guest asked for a bottle of water and they brought 4 (1litre) bottles for the table (us, assuming this was complimentary) I guess nothing is free nowadays...
Unfortunately the food let us down a bit as it's overpriced for what you get, everything is between R150 to R250 per plate and we all left hungry which is not nice after you've spent so much on a lunch.
Myself and my fiancé went for the Sunday buffet, it just so happened the rugby was also shown here on a very big screen. The food was nothing short of amazing, the buffet was always filled and quality did not disappoint not once. We paid R350 it starts from the morning till 4pm so go very hungry. The service was a little slow but only because it was fully booked and extremely busy. The staff work so hard and management was so amazing to welcome us in.
You get greeted a nice staff at the door,she recommended the warmest spot for us,we didn't even wait the waiter was next to the lady sitting us to get our drinks order,if you're a tea lover they don't have much variety.Wnt for a platter and my Friend got curry the food was so delicious I was definitely pleased by the meal.Started of quiet but people kept on piling in,It's definitely a must visit 🥰
