Review The Classic India - Bedfordview

Eleni T
Classic India has always been our go to Indian restaurant whenever we are in town. We decided to try them out today after a couple of months of not having them and we were mind blown as always. The service was incredible, with staff following covid protocols and the food was nothing short of amazing. I had the paneer do piyaza and my partner had the chicken kadai. We also got some papad paneer and garlic naan to share. As always, the food and service was a stellar 10/10!

The food never disappoints. Real value for money and great service. Portion sizes are generous and range of choice will suit anyone. If you are a newby to North Indian foods, try the Butter Chicken. If you love a spicy burn, Jalfrezi or Vindaloo is your choice. But as you can see by our photo we couldn't decide. Indo Chinese and Vegetarian options available

The food is good quality. However management needs to use their discretion on the starter pappadoms served. If a client requests this they shud not put a not allowed complimentary for sit in customers as the food is already higher priced and it shud not be denied. Highly annoyed with that. A reason I probably won't go back.

Best curry in Bedfordview! Has not changed. Update again...still not much more I can add! I have never had a bad meal here. Tonight was no exception. Special butter chicken with cheese and sweet corn samosas and their signature garlic and cheese naan

Recently we arranged a small party... I would really like to appreciate the service by the both the managers. One present during the party and other manager who booked in us for the party. Both Mr Shantanu and Mr Sukhdev are great in their field....so was the party done well due to their diligent service. Thankyou

I ordered over WhatsApp and was sent a picture of the menue. They definitely went the extra mile. Thank you so very much for all your kind attention. I'd like to Congratulate the staff at Classic India in Bedfordview for their excellent service. Everything was awesome. I will definitely recommend your Restaurant šŸ†

Here's a secret: Visit on a week day like we did and enjoy superb service and a delicious culinary delight like we did.

Awesome dinner and great service from Andile. Great curry and well priced too. Will definitely be back again soon.

We were given a warm welcome by both the host and waiter, there's a large variety of different dishes to choose from. Our food arrived in under 20mins of ordering piping hot and very delicious, we will definitely be visiting the restaurant again soon.

Placed an order for about R1500 but the butter chicken was missing. When I got home I called but there was nothing they could do. It's been 2 months and they still make excuses. The after sales service is terrible

Iā€™ve ordered a butter chicken and the flavor was sweet and blend. How come Indian food comes sweet? Last year Iā€™ve ordered a biriani and what a surprise I found: a small cockroach in it. Iā€™ve been disappointed with this place so many times but now I wonā€™t be ordering anything else from there.

I have never sat down to eat at this branch but the service I got when collecting takeaways was great, they were so friendly and quick.
I must admit my favourite thing to eat is the garlic cheese naan, it is so tasty, I can buy a few and eat them over a few days šŸ˜

One of my very first proper indian cuisine experience and it was amazing! We were welcomed by friendly staff the moment we got there. The place was set up very classy, almost like fine dining.

Had Butter Chicken & Lamb Vindaloo with Butter Naan - it was delicious. Portions are moderate and pricing range is not so bad as well - it was worth it! Definitely going back to try other dishes šŸ‘šŸ¼

owners should be more knowledgable about what their chefs add in their meals way too much food coloring and when I complained the owners just say if you don't want to come back then don't. Guys notice when you eat their food your hands get stained with yellow yes that is coloring used to make the food look rich. it's almost a year now and I will never support them again.

Incredible Indian in my Tummy!

This is will always be my favourite Indian spot. The service is so friendly and personal and the food never let's me down.

I always have the Paneer Makhani which is perfectly seasoned, wholesome, creamy, just so divine.

The Dhal Makhani is made up of a spicy, thick gravy with lentils. If you order it hot, it gives quite a kick but it's edible and great for colder days.

The Jeera Aloo is a cumin based potato dish which is quite popular in the Indian community. With some turmeric added to the mix, the potatoes are well coated in flavour and always well cooked.

Definitely try the masala tea which packs a punch of spice and will tingle your tastebuds.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a timeless Indian experience.

Read about this Indian restaurant on Zomato. Food is delicious and service on point. BUT we ordered lamb and got beef instead šŸ˜” We know the difference šŸ˜¤

Awesome food, amazing staff and great atmosphere will definitely be back soon. Briyani was excellent, a must. Had a birthday and they made the most exquisite cake.
Jess Styles
I ordered the medium butter chicken and garlic naan which was amazing. The curry was hotter than I am used to but it was still very tasty. The naan was amazing though. I could have just had that with the curry sauce and would have been extremely happy!
Sonique "Foodie" Davids
Best Indian food ever!!! Yes they are pricey but so worth it. Do yourself a favour and try their creamy butter chicken and their chicken breyani with dhai (yoghurt) You will not be dissapointed at all
Kevin
They donā€™t supply chutney which I believe to be very welcome when eating curry my problem is their attitude when requesting it -surely and indifferent. Not the way to treat loyal customers. To prove a point I left my hot meal to walk to the nearby shopping center to buy my own! I had no acknowledgement from management that they felt this may not have been acceptable - in fact, I felt disdain coming from him!

One of our favorite restaurants. The service is always outstanding and the food is beyond tasty! It looks little at first, but try to finish it......it is rich in aroma and colour. My personal favorite is to coconut almond chicken. The atmosphere is classy and warm. Really a nice placešŸ’‹
Kyara Khan
By far the best butter chicken I've had in JHB. The service was good and I didn't have to wait so long for my starter and main. I wish the portions were a bit bigger
Laura Brewer
Quality of food is equally good at both branches of Classic India that I've been to. No complaints or criticism; ambience, service and food all really good. The food was flavourful although a bit on the mild side. I've definitely had curries with a lot more of a flavour punch but it's still a great option!
Chiv
Classic India has an inviting and cozy atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. The curries are great. A good place for a family lunch or dinner.
Tyla Jurgens
Great food, portion sizes and reasonable pricing! Service was good, there was a large menu choice and the restaurant was clean and enjoyable. Most of the business seems to be for takeout which does move it away from a lively restaurant vibe. Would definitely go here again for good Indian food.

The food is to die for consistently tasty its not to hot just perfect If you having a craving for Indian food this is a must go to place to satisfy your cravings

Had dinner there for the first time tonight. Decor and ambiance were pretty nice - well heated indoors which is important as winter rolls in.

The food was good, flavourful, with reasonably sized portions.

However, the service was really poor, the waiter seemed to barely understand even simple requests, and disappeared for extended periods. The post dinner cappuccinos were dreadful - served boiling hot and tasted like ditchwater.

I absolutely love Indian food so decided to have my birthday lunch here. The food is very tasty and the wine selection is good. We shared cheese and corn samoosas, lamb samoosas, punjabi samoosas and mixed pakora for starters. All well prepared and decent portion sizes. For mains there was chicken jalfrezi, aloo matar gobi, bengali fish curry and another vegetarian dish (unfortunately I didn't hear what my dad ordered). The heat level was just right and everyone was happy with their food. I find the lighting a bit too dim in the restaurant although the rest of the decor is very nice. Service is the biggest issue hence the middle of the road rating. We had to look for our waitress every time we needed to order anything. She also only took half of the drinks order the first time around. A little training can easily rectify these issues, and we will be back.

Compliments all-round!!! Ordered take-away and it did not disappoint, highly recommended when you looking for great tasting curry at a reasonable price, this is the " go to".

Mar 17th Dinner : Our curb to try some Indian restaurants in Jo'burg urged us to drive to this restaurant that is nestled at Key West Shopping Center. This place had a decent decor and spacious seating arrangement. We choose to sit inside due to loud music from a near by Pub. The waiter cleaned the table and handed us the menu. However, she neither lit the candle nor provided us the hand towels. We insisted her to light the lamp and provide us the hand towel.Ā

We ordered the Classic Hajaari Kebab and Chilli Chicken for entrees and a portion of Chicken Chamiyala(Chef's Special) for the mains. In breads, we ordered the Garlic Naan and Tandoori Roti. To start with the Classic Hajaari Kebab was scrumptious on the other hand the Chilli Chicken was OK and chicken was quiet hard. The breads just tasted right. The Chicken Chamiyala was delectable and yummy. The food arrived on time but we had to repeat the order twice or thrice so that the waiter understood.Ā

Overall, a decent Indian restaurant but the service needs to improve.
FatCake101
Absolutely love this place, the food is amazing and the service is great and fast. The owner even came around to ask how the food was. Will defs be back again !

Consitently tasty, authentic North Indian food. Love the butter chicken and paneer tikka masala. Good value for money and reasonable portions. Take-always are as good as a sit-down dinner.
Brenna Weaver
My go-to fast food joint. Amazing chicken korma and lamb vindaloo (my usual) Sublime service with a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Unassuming good food paired with authentic and genuine staff make for a beautiful meal out.

If you having a craving for Indian food In Bedfordview, and don't want to drive 30minutes for curry - This is your place. Nice atmosphere, really reasonably priced food and everything was quite yummy. They accidentally brought all the food HOT instead of a few mediums but it was all still bearable. Delicious, delicious Roti! Some of the best I've had.
Worth a try!
Harshika Shantilal
First impression of the restaurant was a no no. But to our surprise the food was really good. We've been a couple of times now and it's been consistent, something rare to find in Indian food.
Their tikkas were great, butter chicken was lovely and garlic naans divine.

Down with the flu Friday night, so ordered a takeaway from Classic India, Bedfordview. Most impressed: my order was taken down patiently & courteously, all my questions answered, food arrived in good time - the driver, Jason, was a sweetie - and was delicious. We had Lamb Biryani and Chicken Madraswala, a side of buttered Naan and Potato Samoosas. Prices very fair.
Yajyna Gopaul
Ordered a mutton curry bunny as well as a fish breyani and ended up extremely disappointed. The mutton curry bunny was bland and not at all what I had expected. I had a taste of the breyani and it tasted like boiled rice with some flavorless steamed fish and curry just thrown in. Not a very authentic Indian experience at all.
Bhavesh Lalla
I love this place. Service is good. Food is out of this world. There's no place like it in the East. Compliments to the chef. And to the manager for always giving usĀ a warm welcome
Nishkalen Ramsunder
The classic India, has some good food, I had the 1/2 tandoori chicken, comes with a fancy salad and chips. The atmosphere is classy and had a lovely Indian vibe, I did enjoy my food, the tandoori chicken could do with some tandoori sauce though. Service was good and considering the variety of food we ordered, it still arrived in good time,I would eat here again.

An upmarket setting with ample seating area makes for a great first impression. The menu is quite vast and has everything from classic Indian cuisine to what they call "Durban Style Bunny Chows". Don't be fooled however; the bunny has a north Indian type curry instead of a North Beach flavour. That said - it's still great tasting, a huge portion and my colleagues complemented the kormas, vindaloos and different type of naans allround. Seems like a quality, great restaurant that's slightly on the expensive side. Staff could be slightly more jacked-up but an overall good experience. I will return.
'Jessie Jawbreaker
The food is really good. We always have the vegetarian options so I'm not about the meaty curries. The service is alright and the ambience is fine. It's nothing special but it's sweet enough.
Grinding Gears
The food was exceptionally average, with little differentiating it from low-cost Indian food outlets - despite being priced very highly. I tried four separate dishes here and was impressed by none of them. The two prawn dishes I tried both had approximately 5-6 prawns in them and cost over R100/dish. Rice and curry ingredients for a single dish will not even exceed R15, and the cost of those prawns is probably an additional R8. This outlet needs to re-evaluate their pricing, or the contents of their dish. The worst aspect of this joint is the service - having placed an order over the phone in advance, I waited 4 MINUTES at their reception desk before I was even acknowledged, despite their being waiters and restaurant managers in abundance. This restaurant will likely not see me again.

A nice and peaceful restaurant in the area. A genlte ambiance. Love the chilli bites and samoosa's from here, always have them as a take away (their service could be a bit quicker though) . but over all a good selection of Indian cuisine.

A total disaster.Found this place to be very authentic and was fully crowded with mainly whites. The decor was good and the ambience was warm..but the food what they serve and what is illustrated in the menu is North Pole and South Pole difference.I ordered for chicken chamiala which states in the menu as chefs special flavored with ginger and garnished with red chillies.Ordered as extra hot..but what I got was a very sweet curry with lot of cheese and not even 1 red chilly.when I asked the waiter she said may be the chef forgot and she brought me a red chilli in a separate plate.Didnt understand how that works.
Then I ordered for a desert, which in the menu shows as ice cream with lots of fruits n berries in cream..that too not even one berry.Just vanilla ice cream with white grapes and pineapple.
A total disappointment šŸ˜©

ā€œThe classic bland Indian restaurantā€

We tried everything from the starters to the main and one word describes everything - bland . This is not unusual for so called Indian restaurants in joburg who turn Indian dishes into sweet desserts for the western palette . The base for most dishes are the same and you struggle to differentiate the spices .

If you read the ingredients in the menu and try to taste the ingredients in the dish its like finding a needle in a haystack . We sent our main dish twice only to be disappointed .

This place does not represent the true Indian culinary experience and is a rip off . The best phrase to describe this place would be some cheap wine being sold as African Wine .Ā

The manager will also give you a big smile based on your skin colour and will con you with his bullcrap . Forewarned is Forearmed

What a great place. Food amazing and one of the few places that offer peshwari naan. My 5 year old son devoured the butter chicken. Nice chill atmosphere, service great. Definantly recommend eating here and will certainly be back.

Would love to rate this restaurant higher as the food was really good, but for some inexplicable reason, after giving us excellent service for our starters and mains, our waitress then felt her work for the evening was done. She disappeared to chat to her friends at the entrance and never came back!!! After quite some time we wanted dessert and finally caught a waiter's eye (being very deliberately ignored by our own waitress). We asked for the fried ice cream - the first item on the dessert menu, only to be told they don't actually serve that item, and never have done - even though it's on the menu!! By that stage we'd had enough and asked for the bill. Our waitress was standing outside chatting and completely ignored the fact that we were leaving. Absolutely no manager involvement or interest at all, although there were a couple of guys who looked like managers drifting about. Won't be returning and wouldn't recommend the place.

Newish restaurant to the area, good selection but limits ambiance, had to ask twice to put some music on to create atmosphere, menu selection is good waiters have limited knowledge of what is on the menu, limited wine selection an no idea of pairing. Good itself is good (I love indian food, but as such a harsh critic of indian resturants). Mains have a good mix of flavor, quality of ingredients is acceptable but lacks the real richness and flavorsome spice combinations you would expect for a excellent indian restaurant. In general a good meal I would go back (for lack of any other indian in the area that is better)
Melissa Odendaal
We had take out and for that I give this place a 2.5 . I had the prawn and chicken curry and my mom had the butter chicken. It was delicious in its own way I guess but it lacked something. It was quite sweet and not spicy at all (I ordered medium but still - there wasn't even a "bite"). Also, you end up having a lot of sauce and few bits of meat. Also had 2 naans (garlic) and it was nice. Paid R200 for both dishes which I think was expensive for what you get. I think the food would have taste better if we had a sit down dinner in which case I would give it a 3.

Food: 8/10
For starters we shared a good portion of 6 large chilli bites - crunchy, tasty and fantastic! Mains included a Lamb Bhuna Gosth Kalimirch and a Chicken Chamiyala which were also very good, but somehow tasted slightly dry despite being served in a great tasting sauce. A side of white rice and sambals accompanied our meal.

Service: 9/10
The waitress who attended to us was really great. She knew the dishes quite well and could make good recommendations. She was friendly, informed and attentive.

Ambience: 8/10
It was our first time in this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised at the lovely atmosphere and ambience. Lighting was just right, the tables were perfectly spaced apart and there was just a warm relaxed feeling throughout the dining experience.

VFM (Value For Money): 7/10
The prices are pretty much on the same level as some other good Indian restaurants I've been to. Well-priced dishes of sufficient portion sizes made this high quality dinner definitely good value for money.
Johann & Limari
Very good and tasty food, portions are not abundant but the prices are reasonable. The menu is exceptionally diverse and service is prompt..
Fortheloveoffood
My first impressions of this restaurant is not the best. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the tap was broken.

We had the Lamb Achary and the butter chicken. Both these dishes were spectacular but the lamb was better. Well spiced and flavor some.
Annabel
This is for me the best Indian Restaurant.Ā Great tasting food, good service and great atmosphere.Ā Love the classicĀ chicken and prawn curry and the Naan and Roti's are absolutely scrumptious.
Rose Marie Pereira
Best Indian restaurant, love their prawns vindaloo and biryani but my absolute favorite is their roti's and garlic naan! Service is good and decor and ambience is pleasant
Seema Patel
Been there a couple of times absolutely loved it. last Sunday was an epic disappointment,in my "doggy bag" food was watered down and each dish had no more then 3 table spoons wish I had taken pics...I've emailed the owner/manager apparently it takes more then 3 days to investigate...standards have dropped.
Shyam.m28
Classic india is a place which ticks all boxes, the food is yet to disappoint. The staff are friendly. The food is very affordable for an Indian restaurant, they also have a good selection of wine.
Alastair Waldeck
One line summary: Great food, great prices!

This is a great local restaurant with an upper class atmosphere. The staff are well trained and the food is superb! The best thing about is that, compared to other Indian restaurants of the same quality, the prices are very reasonable! Well worth a try...
Gary Greenberg
I have only visited this place Ā once in the past and I find it quite enjoyable. Based on the quality of other indian restaurants in the area this is one of the better ones around. The curries are of a good standard and there is a wide selection of vegetarian meals that are sure to fill you. Our waitress was very sweet and open to criticism. I will review this place again in the near future when i visiting it again.
Gina Bianca Ghisleni
This has become one of my favourite restaurants. My boyfriend and I frequent it most weekends. The food never disappoints, the butter chicken and chicken korma are 2 of my favourites and the garlic naan is a winner. The service is speedy and the staff friendly.
Bianca Kleber
Extremely ordinary, nothing to call home about but actually quite a disappointment considering the good reviews it received. We ordered a variety of samoosas for the table which was completely tasteless. The rest of rhe food was ok. Honestly it's not a restaurant I will go back to.
Stefania Mommsen
Got takeaways this evening. Was such a let down. The lamb korma was terrible. Butter chicken average. Won't eat there again. Used to be great quality now just tastes like bland quantity batched.
Kelly Ansara
I love a good curry. So I am biased. But when I can eat like a king for under a R100, take home leftovers, and still get the flavour.

Love it.

I am enjoying my lunch at this rated venue. My wife ordered chilli paneer and I ordered chilli chicken for my starter. My food arrived dry and tasteless and I sent it back. The manager arranged for the dish to be redone, which was very enjoyable. Now for the punchline, he asked me how was the food and I replied very nice as it was very nice, and his comment was , I'm not sure why I apologised for the first dish? Hello am I stupid or is this man f.. ... with me. I'm with my wife so I relax. The venue and food is great when served as the menu suggest, but I believe that the manager on duty was disappointing. Let's wait for the main course
Taniko Gough
Went there last night for dinner , I had the Prawn Marsala , and the BF had the Lamb Briyani . Both were utterly delicious ! Highly recommended as the staff are wonderful and attentive too .

When I first arrived at key west. I wasn't sure if the restaurant was opened because the everything looked so dark compared to the other restaurants. But saw some people inside and went in.
The service was Good and fast.
I think the food was above average and decently priced. We had the Roomali rotti, lamb korma and chicken hyderabadi. The lamb curry was a bit too sweet for us but definitely enjoyed the spiciness of the hyderabadi and would go back for it.
Girish Batra
Indian food better than India. Wow...really enjoyed the food and the experience. . Lovely north Indian fare cooked exactly the original punjabi way. ...served with finesse.Keep it up...
Vivek Chinoy
Well I had one of the most amazing South African version of the Indian Pav Bhaji , it's called Bunny Chow . Originally from Durban . You get it in two sizes , half loaf and a quarter loaf . The quarter loaf is good enough for 2 . It's available a choice of curries , veggy, chicken and beans . I went for the veggy and it was quite nice .

My fiancƩ decided to spoil me with a dinner. Classic India Bedfordview
Was a wonderful choice with great service and good atmosphere. Food truly tickles the taste buds.

Simply love Classic India Bedfordview and to my view on of the best Indian restaurants
in Jozi. The food is absolutely fantastic and whether you like chicken or lamb
you will never go wrong. I normally do garlic naan instead of rice, which is
fabulous. Nothing beats the experience and it is always chokkers! The menu is
well priced and definitely a must try!

This morning started of with an offer to my better half, I said "I want to take you out tonight" and she smiled and said "that sounds good". Ā I asked what she felt like and she promptly replied "for a really good curry". So today's mission was the search for a good Indian restaurant that had "really good curry", low and behold I do not deliver on her expectations!! :-)

I asked a friend for a few suggestions, and they recommended a few places in the north, one in Boksbug and another in Midrand, I asked another they suggested a few too. I than thought, "let me check my trusty Zomato app!!", at the time I was near Gilloolies Interchange and up comes "The Classic India" restaurant, I have been meaning to come here a few times but kept on giving it a miss, and today was the perfect time for it. I read a few of the reviews and "Bob's your uncle" reservations made.

Getting tot he restaurant was nice and easy, just off the N3 highway in the Key West Shopping Centre with ample parking. There is a rowdy bar close-by but that you just pass by (or come back later for a beer Ā if that is your fancy ).Ā
We were welcomed by the manager and our waitress for the evening was Beki. What a wonderful place, its so cozy, makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Warm earthy colours with wood finishings and a view of the chef strutting his stuff - just absolute wonderfulness! I love the theatrical of it all - even if the chef just basically did his thing and looked at the diners every now and than.

We got complimentary bread with some two different chutneys and pickled onions. For starters we ordered lamb samoosas and the Chef's Special which was a vegeterian Manchurian - (made with potatoes and with amazing sauce). Now this was really nice. It was like a very exotic vegetarian meat ball - I just thought that it was slightly bland or needed a bit of seasoning. P thought I was out of my mind but hey its probably personal taste.

For mains I got the Lamb Bhoona Gosht Kalimirch which was utterly delectable, i ordered it medium heat and it was just really tasty, just the right amount of spices and the rice that accompanied it was soft and fluffy.
P orderd a very very mild Lamb Bunny Chow (without the bread and with the rice) LOL!!! - pretty much a lamb curry and that was also very nice, personally I thought it needed a but of umpf but for P , it was perfect- and that it was mattered.

We were just too full to order dessert but there was quiet a range to choose from.

I must admit that Beki was really attentive. She asked what we liked and offered some good sound advise, which is very good. The manager came around a few times to make sure we were happy and that the food was good - which was nice, and he also told us about his trip to India and how he got some interesting spices.

So yes, I will most definitely go back, the food was really good, company was absolutely amazing, venue comfortable and warm and service good... so overall I am a happy chappy...

Being half indian, the food runs in my blood. BEST INDIAN CUISINE AND RESTAURANT BY FAR IN JOHANNESBURG. A nice intimate setting. Must TRY now

My second visit here and again it never failed to satisfy. I love looking around at patrons in an Indian restaurant to see who is sweating while eating their curry. I too enjoy a spicy curry but felt like something on the mild side for a change.... tender chicken cubes swimming in a creamy and tasty coconut sauce - The chicken Malai Korma hit the spot perfectly. My sexy date had the Prawn Marsala, which was equally yummy. The service was friendly and quick, leaving us with an all round "Classic" Indian dining experience.
Leanne Van Breda
Such a great place to grab dinner on a Friday night. The quality of the food is great and it is really well priced. The butter chicken is absolutely delicious and well worth trying!
Nicci
My favourite Indian restaurant and i have been to many..food is consistently good..never had a bad meal..chicken korma is definitely the best in joburg..
Thandi Ndebele
The restaurant was great. Amazing ambience, great food. The service was a bit slow towards the end but, the food is proper,I like the fact that the hot and extra hot is actually hot not like these other places that say is hot and it's just spicy ā˜ŗ
Eddie Chien
One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the East (as opposed to North, no pun here) I find it rather pleasant, accompanied with good service.
Merelda
Itā€™s not bad, but had better.

It was super full on an early Saturday night, we got there slightly before 7 and it was packed - so I guess booking beforehand would be a good idea. The deco was minimal, doesnā€™t give a good ambiance but at least itā€™s not too tacky. Our waitress was quite friendly, the ordering was efficient but we had to wait quite a bit for the food (but it was really packed though).Ā

Between the 5 of us, we ordered 4 dishes and 4 naans. The vegetarian dishes (Dhal Makahni and a Paneer thing) were not as flavoursome as the meat dishes we ordered (Chicken Saagakwala and a Fish dish), and all the dishes were slightly under seasoned. The fish was also slightly overcooked and became quite chewy, but the chicken was cooked perfectly. The naan was not as fluffy as some of the other restaurants Iā€™ve had, and was a little too cold when arrived and a little burnt. However, the lassi was really delicious! We ordered mild for everything, and it was not spicy at all, so it's great for children who don't eat spicy food.Ā

Also, all the dishes come with complementary rice, and I think itā€™s not necessary to order separate Naan unless you have a relatively big appetite :)

p.s. Excuse the half eaten dishes in the photos, I only remembered to take photos half way through :PĀ

Bottomline: Itā€™s good, but not great, canā€™t find a reason to go back.

Pros: Good portion, good price
Cons: Lack of ambiance (but I guess itā€™s not a fine dining restaurant), good but not great
Andre Van Gent
Called on restaurant on 27/7/2014. Food was out of this world!Service was a bit slow to start, but once the waitress calmed down, she was also great.Definitely worth it.
Nikita (Haefliger) Oosterberg
Spicy food with delicious garlic naan bread and sambals. Have to have the butter chicken - ask for medium because hot is reallly hot ā˜†ā˜…ā˜†

Divine!! My Roganjosh was delicious. Nice vibe with authentic Indian music in the background. We will be back!
Anand Gan
Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Will definitely support them in future.
Clara Powell
Great food. Not the greatest atmosphere but excellent food non the less
Craig Topham ( Pretentious? Moi?)
Loved the butter chicken, the vindaloo was superb, great naan bread ,just let down a little by the service and lack of ambience. But good value for money. One of the better curry restaurants
Debi Lindsay
Good food, good value for money. Service needs improvement, waitrons couldn't explain menu.
Gloria Britain
Received a great welcome to the resturant. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. Would recommend the Rajma masala for vegetarians and the Lam Hyderabadi for the meat eaters. Food was divine! Will definitely go there more regularly AND they are on Mr Delivery List.
Monique Pereira
A true Indian Gem in Bedfordview! Easy on the taste buds as well as the pocket! The best authentic Indian food! Very clean and very good service! :) Try their garlic naan bread, butter chicken, and prawn masala and vindaloo, and prawn and chicken curry! #delicious
Also makes a great take away!
