Great spot for lunch or sundowners. Vibe is excellent and staff top notch. It's definitely a strong recommendation from my side, and we will be back soon. Absolutely wow.... What a gorgeous place to be in when catching up with friends or taking your partner out for a treat. VIBS are amazing, music is on point. Food it seriously on another level. Its a must go see if your into the high life scene. Views are beautiful.

I was disappointed to find that they don't have a bottomless mimosas special. For a champagne garden you'd expect such. I was a little disappointed in the food because the chicken wings were not fully cooked. Overall I enjoyed my experience, I'd like to see some bottomless mimosas next time.

Great atmosphere, good Sushi😍 but I’m not a fan of your chairs at the back row. Super uncomfortable for anyone to sit, eat and drink.

Great music and atmosphere, the staff was very friendly and patient with us. The food was delicious and did not take too long to be served. Take note: there’s No physical booklet menu, you scan the QR code on the table to access the menu. (Some smartphone cameras can scan QR codes without a 3rd party app but some might need a 3rd party app).

Went for late drink and got seated fine but the waiter service was poor, went to the bar to get my own. Good vibe, place for drinking and dancing to the DJ. Will go back and try the food next time

Beautiful venue! It's a pity we couldn't see the accompanying views clearly because the blinds were broken. The food was very good and the strawberry daiquiri is one of the best I've ever had. We were there for lunch, and it was fairly quiet. However, by the time we left in the late afternoon, the vibe was clearly changing from picturesque lunch venue to raucous party venue. Seems like there's something for everyone.

Great vibes, food is delicious and there’s a wide variety of drinks available. Only issues is the service especially when they’re busier but that’s understandable. Would recommend for a night out with friends. There is also a live DJ most nights as well.

Awesome restaurant. Chilled vibe and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. We ordered food and drinks and everything arrived within drive thru speed. The Ivy sunset is a bomb drink! Yum yum!

Don't let the looks and photos of this place put you down... It looks elegant and fancy which it is but you can also be casual and cool, it does get busy and a more viby as the sun goes down but you can still enjoy a meal and drinks... The food is so good but my favorite was the baklava cheese cake... It was absolutely delicious! Every mouthful was just as delicious. I didn't finish my starters or my mains but I wasn't going to waste that cheese cake.

Discovered this gem not long ago and the first time I went there I was impressed. The ambiance, the views, THE FOOD 10/10. The entire place is such a vibe. The waiters are amazing. My battery died while I was there and one of the waiters borrowed me a charger and helped me charge my phone!

Lovely atmosphere with nice views, pretty good variety on their menu for food and drinks. Would definitely be coming back for to this spot

We went in today and made a reservation prior which is recommended. The decor was nice and fair parking. I ordered the chicken Espada. The price was reasonable and the portion size was sufficient. The chicken was good but could be seasoned a bit better. Nevertheless it was tender and the wait from ordering to the food arriving was not long given the table size was 15. I would return and try other menu items

Had a rock shandy, calamari tapas and asian riblets Calamaria was well made crispy and tasty Not much of an asian taste to the riblets But still very tasty non the less Unfortunately the weather didnt permit the opening of the weather blinds but i can imagine on a sunny day it must be spectacular

Appreciable location, well setup however it gets packed. Mouth-watering food ,you will literally want to try everything and it's big portions too, definitely gives what it is supposed to give. You get your money's worth. I would recommend it for large groups and birthdays/celebrations.

Really enjoyed my time here. The food was delightful and the menu offers a variety of drinks. Spectacular views also. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a place to chill over food, drinks & good music.

Always a good time at IVY Champagne Garden, I never go there solo, always with friends or family to just have sundowners? Listen to good music or even celebrate 🎉. I recommend this place fully. Was just there and let me tell you, again and again I will do the damn thing.

Awesome setting, great food and service, unfortunately the music was so loud that we could not have a conversation over dinner. The waitress said it is softer music on a Thursday, but Fridays , Saturdays and Sundays the music is loud.

We went on Thursday evening for your grand opening & we had an amazing time - your venue is stunning, the view is breathtaking, food was amazing & the portion sizes are huge!! Staff are very friendly & offer good service! My friend who was visiting us from the UK loved it & it finished of her holiday perfectly - we will defiantly be back ���

One of the better places for a drink in the East Rand, doesnt really blow you away, though. It's sort of caught between a club and a restaurant, and you'll be smoked out by the kitchen, but it's still worth a look.

Had a wonderful lunch here yesterday with my family. The staff were very friendly and always making sure we were set. We never had to wait or call for our server. I started off my meal with the “death by chocolate” milkshake... bad choice haha. It is so big and full of chocolate that I had to stop or I would spoil my meal. For my main meal I had sushi and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend that deep fried California rolls. A family member had the chicken tagliatelle pesto and I had a bite. Full of flavor. You will not be disappointed when you go there. Great for a nice Sunday lunch vibe. It is slightly pricey - but you get what you pay for.

This place offers great views, good food and a great vibe overall. Felt like I was in Cape Town for a bit. Shout out to their bar tender! 👌🏽

Went for a sushi date night. And I was highly impressed since I was up to choose the next place 😍. Not a sushi fan but there’s is so good I’m starting to have days whereby I crave some 😂. Great music, Breathtaking views and a great night out in the east. Definitely go again for sushi of ofcourse 😏. Ps: He choose the sushi dish

We went the first time and was great. Though we found the place to hang out on the weekends or after work.<br/>We tried again, we've been told that was a private function.<br/>The owner told us that this is uncommon. Next week we call again to book, again a private function.<br/>I trully hope this private functions are working because we definetly are not coming back.

Rooftops bars are definitely a thing nowadays. With a great view and perfect for a summers day, with a few tapas and cocktails for ladies catch up - this is the perfect place.<br/>Very pretty set up and great vibe. Its a must try.

I've been to champagne Ivy twice now. Being a fairly new restaurant I think it still needs to be seen and appreciated by many more joburgers.<br/><br/>My first impression of the place was that it's a great place! The atmosphere is lovely, you have a view of joburg city. Its an Open plan which must be lovely in summer.<br/><br/>The burger was to die for! I absolutely loved it ...I will come back for It! And the gin cocktail is amazing. I hope more people get to experience it..it deserves more than what it's currently rated. Give it a Try!

This past weekend, we decided to try out this rooftop bar co-owned by Ricardo Da Costa for sundowners and found it tucked away in a quiet office block in Bedfordview. <br/><br/>The Ivy Champagne Garden certainly boasts some spectacular views of the Johannesburg skyline providing some reasoning to the conjecture that Johannesburg may in fact be the world’s largest man-made urban forest. <br/><br/>On this first visit, we were not aware that in order to get a table (and sample the Afro-Asian menu), a reservation was required so instead we opted to sit at the bar and have some cocktails.    <br/><br/>Onto the food.. I will reserve my opinion for when we return to eat, but, on this first visit, I did at least get the chance to look over the menu which seems to offer tapas, sushi and a range of burgers. <br/><br/>Although this is a lovely spot for sundowners, there are three important t&c's to note when booking:<br/>1.  For tables of 10 or more dining, a minimum spend of R250 per person is required (with a 10% service charge) and<br/>2. A deposit of R100 per person is required on tables of 10 or more.<br/>3. This rooftop bar has a strict 12am closing time (probably due to the residential area that it is situated next to). <br/><br/>What I found rather odd on Saturday was that it clearly states that the age restriction is no under 23 years old and yet the place was FULL of little girls celebrating a 15th birthday party complete with numerical balloons and all the frills. Was asked to sit at the door instead of being allowed inside, apparently "busy". After insisting, we found very few tables taken inside the place. Almost felt not welcome? We didn't order anything and got up and left, never going back. Seems to only welcome a certain type of person.

Brilliant restaurant, great service and excellent food. I am a vegan and I called to find out if they could make a dish that wasn’t on their set menu and they were more than willing to oblige. <br/>Wonderful experience!

I tried to make a booking for 15 people for an 18th Birthday dinner and was told no under 23's after five. So limiting considering the great reviews below.

Stunning setting, beautiful people, incredible cocktails,top notch service. All these factors equal one amazing experience. Just the perfect place for a Saturday afternoon. The sunset that follows is also worth the wait. Tapas based menu to accompany a beautiful bottle of wine, really a great experience.

I really loved the vibe at this place, beautiful music and even better cocktails. The service was great, we (Date Night🙌🏾) didn’t wait for anything. The fillet was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato fries went all the way inside. Make sure you book well in advance as it is a very popular spot.

Went there for a late lunch on<br/>Saturday, did not book, was given a seat along Bar area - perfect as it was a smoking section with a stunning view !<br/><br/>Waitress was great & service good <br/><br/>Burgers looked fantastic, ordered Gourmet, beautifully presented & generous, meat was so salty (I love salt), we could not eat it, told the waitress, not sure if she told chef - no-one came to "check" or apologize ???? <br/><br/>When next we got there & it happens again, we will definitely send the food back as we will them know the chef was not told that he is too heavy handed with the salt !<br/><br/>Other than that, a little loud, but nice vibe 👍

The view is amazing! Perfect place for after-work drinks but the music is way too loud for that kind of venue. The food is delicious, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the pulled pork tacos and the French 99 cocktail. They also make one of the best long islands in the city, definitely worth the trip. The music, despite being louder than your noisy neighbor, is some great deep tech/lounge/techno vibe 🎶

Made a booking well in advance but arrived to find there was no table to be seated at. An overbooked and unclean venue. The only solution that was brought forward by staff was to be seated in the rain outside.

So happy we finally have a roof top restaurant with fantastic views, excellent cocktails and delicious food in our area! Service was also good!

Terrible service, bad food. Only nice thing about the place is the view. Food is poorly cooked and bland, also crazy overpriced. We waited 2 hours for our food to get it delivered Ice cold. The chips were raw, very sad as the venue had potential. Happy to pay for good food but that was below average and crazy expensive.

Exactly what Bedfordview needs. Beautiful views, amazing food and sensational cocktails. Highly impressed with the level of service and array of fantastic food on the menu. Opposite Bedford Centre. I'd highly recommend it.
